Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

The hotel was well kept, clean, the bar tenders waitresses were friendly. Service was good. Unfortunately not very busy at this time. The grounds were well kept and manicured. Pools were great, water was fairly warm and the sunken bar pool was fabulous especially on very hot days. Which was almost everyday. Food was normal, nothing spectacular, mornings same, lunch same, dinner same, especially in the buffet section. Wide variety of fresh fruits on a daily basis. Bar, lack ok coke, pina coladas, mint on certain nights to make Mojitos etc. A bit disappointing.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Good Resort

Generally a good resort. The service was good. As expected the food was edible, Cuban food don't have much flavor nor variety. Their A la carte restaurants are OK. Still no real vegetables. Great beach, the second week we were 'killed' by mosquitos. If you are not a foody, then the resort is great.

Melia Buenavista: Beautiful Quiet Resort

The grounds are especially nice and well manicured. The three beaches are separated by coral rocks therefore making them very private because it’s not one continuous beach, except for the last beach goes on forever…Water is so warm and turquoise blue! Unbeatable service “Yoni” our butler was absolutely wonderful and made our stay so easy. Yasmilia was the best Masseuse of have ever had, her hands were amazing! The only drawback would be that the hotel needs to work on serving better food.. and maybe have more of a selection as we found the food to be repetitive. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: We will never return to this resort definitely not 4.5 rating

We have been to Cuba many times over many years and we would never return to this resort. Too many issues to post. One thing we would like send a shout out Noel the butler he was very attentive! Our experience here was not good at all.

Paradisus Los Cayos: 10/10 Resort

Sure to please both adults alone and families.Rooms are clean, food is great and well presented, abundance of drinks. 24/7 room service, 24 hrs snack bar. My family has been 3 times and it is getting better year after year. The staff is professional and willing to go above and beyond.

Playa Vista Azul: Not a four star😕

Where do I start. First getting to the hotel was alright. However, when arriving to Cuba, make sure to bring your own toilet paper because the coach bathroom does not work and airport bathrooms do not have toilet paper in the stalls. The distance from the airport to the resrort is a solid 35 minute drive including drop offs at other resorts. Check in was delayed by an hour because laundry was not working and rooms were not ready. The snack bars, buffets and bars are open and served the quality food you’d expect from Cuba. The restaurants are the exact same foods just plated up “nicely”, so don’t waste time waiting for a spot there. The beach is beautiful, clean and clear! The natives of Varadero said the best time to visit is November-December😉. The pool is very live and full early in the morning until 8PM. The staff who work primarily for pool activities and beach activities are so dedicated and great at their job. They do a great job at being interactive with the guests and make it an enjoyable time to all. The rooms were definitely not the greatest during the first two days. We had to walk to the lobby multiple times requesting for assistance that never came until the next day to fix the TV, AC and toilet in BOTH rooms. The heat was horrible to sleep in, in both rooms that my family had booked. The next day when we woke up the technician came to fix the AC and toilet in the rooms and it worked in one but the compressor or something in the other room was broken so we were moved two rooms down. After that day the rooms issue was resolved expect for the fact that neither rooms had shower towels for the whole stay though we requested for it multiple times from housekeeping. They provided us with water everyday which was great and made our beds/cleaned up without out fail! *Keep in mind that in order to get anything done for you anywhere in the resort you would need to tip.* For currency make sure that you DO NOT bring pesos as some Cubans or workers will not accept it or appreciate it. They prefer USD or CAD and essentially every other currency. However, if you are Canadian, I suggest that you convert whatever you have to USD back home before coming to Cuba because they WILL UPCHARGE EVERYTHING you buy 5-10 dollars more. If you are buying souvenirs or going outside your resort keep this in mind. Most of the staff is genuinely nice and helpful but some will be extra amazing if you give them good tips and speak Spanish. Lastly, during the nights there is entertainment that goes on from 9:30-10:30PM! It is AMAZING, if you go have nothing to do at night, go to the lobby at the front to meet people or go to the bar and theatre downstairs. They work so hard and the work pays off with the amazing performance given by the dancers and magicians. Very interactive and fun! Check was a mess and the front was not entirely helpful until the last minute. They deactivated our cards countless times before checkout at 12PM and made it so difficult to fix the issue. All in all, the resort itself was enjoyable and a nice getaway after everything was sorted. The beach was amazing, food was typical but occasionally above average for Cuba, and the staff and entertainment is amazing! Check in and check out is not structured properly and needs help. The resort was not completely a four star and would only come back for beach and entertainment. We were stressed at the beginning of the trip when we should have been relaxed. 3/5 rating.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: The staff are amazing at Royalton

The staff treat you like family. Everyone is so friendly. Check out the Nativa bar, Danilo is amazing. The room is ok, kind of old and run down, not first world 5 stars more like 3 stars. But I guess for Cuba it's good. There were bugs. They spray for mosquitos on the resort each night which is gross. The food wad ok. The bbq at snack bar is best bet. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful new resort

This resort is new, beautiful and very well maintained with all amenities in very good working conditions, no issues with AC, hot water, safe, toilets. The grounds are manicured by the hard working gardeners. The beach is raked every morning and there are plenty of chairs and shade for all. The only suggestion would be to bring water shoes as there are some areas with rocks when you enter the water. There was plenty of food and drinks, you just have to remember that you are in Cuba. The staff at the restaurants, bars, reception, room service are very friendly and they work very hard to please you and make you vacation as enjoyable as possible. The best thing we did is get late checkout on one of our rooms for $20CAN/hour which helped us enjoy our last day.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing resort

Great location, Luna part closed due to renovation. Mares is completely renovated. Very helpful representatives at the front desk. Excellent service in restaurants bars etc. Clean updated rooms and facilities, everything in our rooms was functioning properly.. Playa Esmeralda is something that can not be described by words, you have to experience it. We'll be back.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Very nice!

We were pleasantly surprise with the beautiful room. The food at the Italian restaurant was amazing and was our favourite. The ice cream in a fresh made waffle cone was so good. All of the staff were so kind and pleasant. The diamond club was worth the extra. Lacked in fresh vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers. No bugs or mosquitoes. Special shout out to Salsa who BBQs daily on the Diamond beach and Joey who puts the umbrellas up for you. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to others.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Good resort

The hotel was good very nice, it had alot of things to do. Various activities plenty of food and variety overall the staff was friendly. Although there were a couple of rude ones the majority were friendly and professional. The grounds was kept up and there was alot of entertainment and although it seems like a great hotel the couple of bad experiences I had with them it became sour for me. If you go for the price it is a great value but you could find better hotels for the same price.

My intention for this vacation was to simply just relax, wasn't looking to do too much. However, in our rooms the shower had leaked and the blanket had a weird odor to it. We had the Cuban and French cuisine and I enjoyed that, the soup reminded me of what my parents make for me when I'm sick haha. I believe because their was low occupancy, there wasn't too much to do or opened like more options for excursions and a la cartes which wasn't a bog deal for me as I just wanted to be on the beach! Playa Vista Azul: Outstanding!

This was an extraordinary property and great value for the price. Awesome staff and great food selection. A site map would have been beneficial to make full benefit of the many amenities. Looking forward to returning next season.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Better than 3 star

Hotel was very well for the price we paid. Grounds, room, beach area, restaurant were kept clean but some of the guests were not uneducated for that metar. Restaurant had everyday srip, labster, lasagna and other food. Best of all the, the juices in the restaurant and some bars was pure natural & organic, (no sugar & additives added)

Grand Memories Holguin: Relaxing vacation

Stunning large resort great layout easy to access. Hotel includes restaurants.lounge. Swimming pools, game room, theatre. gym and beach. There is also tennis courts and the basketball courts are almost complete. The beach is beautiful. The a la carte restaurants are very good. The buffet restaurant always had fresh grilled fish chicken or pork. Our family had a great time. I do recommend the excursions. The snorkelling and dolphin trip was a lot of fun!

Best vacation ever. Everywhere clean and beautiful. I liked the food, service and the ground. Animators and performance where on high level! Great location! Very friendly people are working there. I will strongly recommend 👌

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Family vacation

The staff on the resort were fabulous! The report itself could use some upgrades, we had no running tear in our room for 3 days so showering & toilets were a struggle no compensation offered which was unfortunate Alex at the beach bar is the greatest staff ever Overall we had a nice vacation

Starfish Varadero: Great staff but low budget hotel

The staff is very good. The actual hotel is spread out over a very large complex, only two small pools quite a walk from the Main hotel or if in the bungalow it’s a good walk to the buffet. I would not recommend this hotel if you have any walking issues stairs and stairs. Lots of people with the shits, FB post searching for people staying asking for Imodium Food was scarce have to get to the buffets early, or they run out (typical cuba) No excuse for the pre-made omelet’s on the fl [... read more]at top. Iberostar Selection Holguin: Very nice place

We were 3 families and each of us enjoyed this nice resort. Attentive staff, good kitchen with fresh meals, very clean rooms with every day bed linen change, well maintained walk passes, easily accessible beach mini shuttles, good service at the beach! The only 2 things that could be different were the early check out at 7 am, followed by an announce of the flight delay in 5 minutes. And the evening animation for adults offered very little...
