the hotel and people were great , too bad the ocean was not swimmable but can not complain , ocean view is the best and ala carte restaurants are great Alex at the buffet and Bibbanne at the steak house treated us like royalty

Everything was great, food, entertainment, drinks. Fabulous The lobby was really amazing. A nice first sight to see Staff was great and can't say enough about the pool and the drinks and entertainment. My family and I had a great time

Riu Montego Bay: The worst vacation ever

There are two constructions going on; one next to the pool and one close to the beach. Noise and dust. Mosquitos and yellow ants on the beach, no service at the beach. Tiles were falling off the pool. Rooms are with old furniture, moldy and dirty. Our rooms got flooded from the toilet on the forth day of our stay, my luggage got soaked. Nobody seemed to care about any problems that occurred during our stay. Food was kept on the buffet with flies coming and going, very few items that were prepar [... read more]ed properly. Ice cream melted and ice cream scoop placed in the very dirty water that nobody cared to change. I tried to find a cup of coffee during the day ( they had instant coffee machine with sugar already mixed in it that wasn't drinkable) and when I asked for it they told me to go out of the hotel and purchase one! That is all inclusive for you! We spent more than 300 American $ in tips trying to get something better out of our stay, even that didn't help us. Last day, I called front desk to send someone to help us with our luggage ( we had 4 kids with us) and I had to call 4 times until somebody showed up. In the meantime, it started to rain very much, so we had to run with kids, finally made it to the bus, we were late and wet. I work in Hospitality industry for 20 years and I this was really poor expiriance. Was expecting much more from RIU hotels!!! The funniest part is, when I told them that this is not acceptable for the 5 star hotel ( their signs display ***** everywhere ) they told me that if I go to their web site and check, they hold only four stars. Unbelievable !

Riu Republica: Excellent resort

The resort was great. I was expecting a few glitches since it's fairly new but can't say I can complain on anything that wasn't dealt with immediately. Our first room was a king bed and I was there on a girl's trip and required two beds. No problems ... fixed and upgraded to Ocean View. All the staff - cleaning, reception, restaurant, bar, beach waiters, animators were so friendly and quick to serve and help you. Tip or no tip the service was phenomenal. The beach is beautiful, quiet  [... read more]and although there's no beach bar close by, there is a waiter that comes by and takes your order (if you're in a hurry you may need to get your own or have a large bubba). :) Rooms, cleaned daily, fridge always filled with beer, pop and lots of water. Food - no complaints. I actually gained a few pounds and that might be a combo of the food and the beverages. lol Activities - it was windy so we didn't take advantage of any of the water sports, but the nightly entertainement was good. Daily fun was had at the pool (bar). I'd go back. CD

Riu Santa Fe: it was a great resort

this is a great resort . a lot of walking but we like that . the front lobby and center court reminds me of a small Mexican village. food was good and the steak house was delicious. service was excellent we enjoyed it and had fun.would return again

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing resort!

Loved the resort! Our room was very spacious, loved the view from our balcony! Mini fridge stocked with beer , pop, water along with the alcohol dispenser was a great feature. The food was excellent! Enjoyed the a la carte restaurants as well as the very plentiful buffet. The food was always fresh and tasty. Loved their coffee with hot milk! Great service from the time we checked in to the time we left. Staff were always very pleasant. Our room was always nicely cleaned. Riu Ocho Rios: Riu Ocho Rios Great time

What another wonderful holiday it was. This is the second time there and was as good as the first. The food is always tasty and lots to choose from each day. Something different every day. Pool could have used a cleaning but due to some rain and winds it was hard to keep up. Staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs.

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing Resort

Everything was amazing, Hotel, staff, food the environment everything was great no complains. It felt like paradise honestly. I would recommend anyone who want's to go on a vacation. The people were amazing very friendly. This was was my first all inclusive and it was worth every penny. Thumbs up.

Riu Republica: Generally very good

Staff service was incredible! Very fast and efficient. Bars were fast with service. Although advertised as an "adults only" the swim up portion of the pool area got extremely loud and crowded with people standing and sliding on the tables along with other dangerous activities. No staff stepped in. Room were very clean and nice. Main Buffet was great. Italian Restaurant was a disappointment. It was just a small version of a buffet with the same menu every night. No traditional pasta availabl [... read more]e. Asian restaurant, although another buffet, was good. Steak House was not really a traditional stake house but service was good. This was the only eating area where you got served. All others were buffet set ups. Lack of elevators was hard to believe. The one in the middle area was always appallingly dirty. Relax pool was nice but actually too warm, probably because it was shallow. Generally the two weeks spent there were nice. Nice grounds. Upgraded to ocean view room because the "garden view" (room 4404 area) was very noisy on the balcony and not a great view. Towel facility was fantastic and in good supply. Once again, the staff was the best we have seen.

Riu Guanacaste: Best vacation ever!

Beautiful resort with a natural black sand beach. Good food and staff was super helpful. Great near by areas with many activities. This resort is surrounded by amazing wilderness. We got to see Dolphins, whales, and many other animals in their own habitat. Best vacation we've ever been on! Can't wait to go back.

Riu Cancun: Great Resort :)))

A group of 20 arrived for a wedding. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The pools were awesome, some quiet some not depending on the time of day. Entertainment nightly was good but a lot of Spanish which is ok if you understand it but most of the guests are not. I would've preferred more English but it wouldn't stop me from watching the shows. The water was amazing and the sandy beaches even better. I have a problem with sand fleas most places and was so happy that there wasn't one to be found trust me I would've found it. There is wifi in the lobby but you are limited to only hooking up 2 devices. Usually that's ok but sometimes more are needed and can't be done there. The staff were friendly and willing to give assistance if needed. It didn't look like they had many kids activities although not exactly sure since we weren't travelling with ours. The food was good they offer a few specialty restaurants that looked good I went to the steakhouse and the Italian and they were good. I would recommend this hotel I would definitely go Back.

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing Resort Indeed

This place was like paradise, I will highly recommend this place to anyone. Also i will surely go back. The people was amazing very friendly. Always there to assist you. The food was great, the beaches, the pool and also all the fun excursion that we did was very nice. Had lots of fun, will definitely go back soon. I love this beautiful place Jamaica.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing people makes this resort a must try!

Although the hotel is a bit dated and the pool area is on the small side, the ocean front is spectacular! The food selection is more than adequate and quite tasty! Since our last visit, no reservations are needed for the specialty restaurants or so we were told. Apparently those who stood in line for dinner but didn't get in were promised reservations for the following evening, unfortunately we only found that out after waiting a half hour in line and then turned away. Riu Bambu: A Resort that did not meet expectations

We were so disappointed with this resort. Our room had a number of issues, the service was non existent, the grounds were dirty and unkept and the food was inedible. Three of the eight people we went with were ill for most of the vacation.

Riu Bambu: terrible food/terrible service

We went to this resort with 3 other couples and 3 people from our group got very bad food poisoning. The food was terrible and we found the resort to be a bit on the dirty side. We would never recommend this resort to any of our friends or family. Non of the staff knew English which made it very difficult to communicate and if you called down to the front desk for something they would just hang up on you because they didn't know the language.

Riu Vallarta: More than Amazing Resort!

We liked everything! Luxury ACCOMMODATIONS, features the most luxurious hotel rooms! The location of the hotel and amenities are the best! You can escape to the natural tranquility, beauty, and comfort!

Riu Tequila: Simple vacation

Riu Tequila is a slightly older resort and it's age really presents in the accommodations. Not that the rooms were unbearable, because who's actually spending that much time in them anyways?, however the beds were very uncomfortable an made for long nights and early mornings. The location of this resort was great. It's tucked away in a gated community that really makes you feel safe. The beach can only be accessed through the sister hotel Riu Yucatan. The walk to the beach isn't too long (maybe  [... read more]10 mins) and is completely shaded. Worth noting that the gates to the walkway lock at 11:00 pm, so a night beach visit always required some quick runs back. The best part of Riu Tequila is the food. There are not many restaurants to choose from but what is available is always delicious, including the buffet. Staff are very friendly and willing to help in anyways possible. The resort grounds are nice. It has more of a forest type feel rather than a beach resort. There are many animals on the premise including cats and cootes!! The pool is very small and the pool bar was always crowded. However there is bar in the lunch area that is only a few steps away. The nightly entertainment was disappointing. Often it was shows filled with amateur dancers an very revealing outfits. The Yucatan seemed to have better entertainment. Daytime entertainment wasn't anything special either. Most people were at the beach during the day so there was not many groups of activities taking place. Although there always seemed to be a game of bingo going on. Overall the resort was satisfying and provided a relaxing vacation, although If you are beach people then I suggest staying at the Yucatan and saving yourself long walks after tired days.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Amazing resort!!

I went there for my honeymoon and I loved every minute of it. I have been to all the RIU'S in cancun without any doubt this is the best one it's only 5 minutes away from the cancun strip and you have access to all the other rius. Beautiful resort, Great food, great service!!

Riu Guanacaste: Amazing resort

The resort is surrounded by trees and rocks covered in greenery. Walking distance to hiking tails and zip lines, volcanic and yellow sandy beaches. Staff at the resort are very helpful. Tips are welcome but you don't feel are required. Rooms are very clean, roomy and full equipped, such as alcohol bar and safe. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing vacation

This is our 6th time back to the Riu Palace Bahamas. Although the resort itself can use some updates it is a great choice for the value. We travel there every September. The weather is great. The beach and the ocean are beautiful. Food is fantastic, especially the a la Carter at Krystal's. The Atlantas hotel and casino is right next door and you can walk through the aquarium after 6pm at no extra charge. We will continue to vacation here as long as possible
