Iberostar Selection Varadero: Beautiful Resort

The resort is beautiful and well maintained. We have really liked our Junior Suite.The cleaning services were amazing. All our needs were taking care and the staff was always smiling. The beach is awesome! We`ve enjoyed each restaurant at the resort but the Japanese restaurant with ``Javier`` as the chef cook was a great culinary experience. The food from the Buffet was O.K.. I have really enjoyed this 7 days vacation.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great Potential

The check-in, lobby area, beach, pools, grounds and generally all staff were wonderful. The buffet food was ok by Cuba standards. The a la carte restaurants were fun with friendly employees. The bar staff and housekeeping were very hospitable. The entertainment was mostly quality shows. I encountered two restaurant employees in the same day, and in uniform, who used the washroom (by the shops) and exited without washing their hands, makes one wonder about hygiene standards. There are problems  [... read more]with the hotel's Food and Beverage Management: no breakfast available before an excursion because the 24/7 buffet not ready with food for guests at 6:20AM or even 6:45AM. We had to leave to make our pick up with only coffee from Lobby Bar (which was excellent by the way). My sister's departure pick up was at 6:00AM and there was no breakfast available. The 24/7 restaurant food was really bad, not fresh, overcooked baked and crisp eggs and tepid meat. Our transfer to the airport was scheduled before the dinner period at 6:00PM and only landed at 3:00AM at destination yet we were also unable to get any food before leaving. I was told by server that I was not permitted to sit at a table inside 24/7 restaurant to dine because they were blocked off for the a la carte an hour and a half in advance of opening (yet staff were seated beside me). I was asked to leave and eat outside on the patio where people sat to smoke. We were earlier advised we could order room service for our 6:00PM departure but when inquiring at reception, they said that service was not deliverable to the lobby since we had checked out at the required time of noon (we only asked for a couple of individual pizzas, nothing fancy). So, you will encounter instances where no food is available at this resort despite being priced and described as all-inclusive. You need to bring some snacks from home. It is not near any other local restaurants. Otherwise, lovely property but they have some fine tuning to do.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing resort

From the moment we arrived we received excellent service. Staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Beach , pools, restaurants and grounds were truly outstanding. Sergio and Johnny were the best bartenders!

-staff are friendly beyond other resorts we have visited -beach is very nice for this area. Lots of loungers here and at the pool -pool is large and spacious. -exceptionally clean resort, grounds beautiful, lots of walkways etc... -no need to bring your own "drink" cups, but you might want to for coffee to go! -security is amazing, we forgot our safe open with our passports and signficiant cash, ID, credit cards etc...and rec'd a note to call security to open it again. Very impressed. -food is good, maybe not as much variety as other resorts, but plenty to eat for sure! -needed a minor repair, done before we got back to the room!

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: awesome resort !!!

Immaculate resort that has everything you would want or need and more. Top notch service, name brand drinks and high end food !!!. Concierge service was a nice touch. Room was beautiful and well kept with great mini bar and snacks!!! Definitely a 5+ Star !!!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Clean, good food, no concerns

Found this resort to be somewhat more modern than many due to recent renovations (flat screen tvs, nice showers etc) Not all rooms have been renovated yet though.Found the food to be better than other resorts I've been to. They obviously work hard to keep things clean and maintained. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly with no hassle. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great time!

We really liked the size of the resort. The gardeners do an amazing job on the grounds. The lobby is very open so when there is a breeze (especially at night) it can get quite cool. We stayed in the superior room which had been renovated but the bed was the worst we have ever had.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice, small resort.

This resort was nice and easy to get around. Hard to get clean beach towels if you didn't get there early. Make sure you get a renovated room, if not, the room is horrific! Buffet is good but repetitive!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort!

We went for our 25th Anniversary in February 2016 and I could not have been more happier! The food, accommodations, staff, shows, pools, ocean and beach were spectacular. I would totally go back again!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Quiet resort

Resort is very clean and nice..our oceanview was obstructed by palm tree in front of balcony. I love Jamaica; the music, the food, the people ... all good. However, I found this resort lacking in outside patios; a place to enjoy drinks and music and socialize especially in the evening. The beach was ok. You really had to be careful entering or exiting the water as there were many rocks. It is conveniently located, not too far from airport. The pool was nice. The staff was very nice.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Beautiful resort.

The Iberostar was a wonderful place to spend two weeks. The grounds were outstanding, clean and very picturesque. The pool was so huge that it never felt crowded. The variety of food was unending and very good. The entertainment staff added a variety of activities making it fun for everyone.

the whole experience was wonderful. A very relaxing vacation. Nice beach. Great food,fabulous,helpful staff. The only negative was the room. It was a little tired and hot water was an issue sometimes. Great pool and pool bar.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great Food Great Resort

This is a large, clean well run resort. I made arrangements for a top floor, king size bed, and a tub. I got what was requested. Thanks to the Desk Manager Andrea (who was on a day off on our check in day) and Orlando who checked us in. It is their smiles and spirit that keep us coming back to Jamaica. I talked and joked with the life guard's Bruce, Norris and Sonja every day. They are very knowledgeable about the ocean and Jamaica’s culture. The bar service on the beach was first class. The Manager Kerry led from the front, a really nice man. He or the staff brought lemon aide in the morning and drinks by lunch. Speaking of drinks, they had lots of good quality booze for drinks, except they did not have any Canadian Whiskey (no Crown Royal, CC, 5 stars); we don't drink Bourbon Jack Daniels. I found other things to drink, like Ice coffee with Baileys, and Tia Maria. The bartenders are first rate; they make and serve the drinks quickly with a smile and a few words. Staff like Christopher, Darleen, Nicole and the rest ensured our glass (or Bubba) was full. The title of this review was great food.... With the finest Chef Managers like Patrick, Isaiah and Jerome they make sure the staffs are always making meals that will not be forgotten. I had lobster tails 4 of the 14 days and them where to die for. The entertainment team was also good with Paige, OMG, Peaches and Rick Hollywood. They talked to us every day on the beach. We came to relax and they understood why we played no games. The live music (from 7:30 to 9:30) in the bar was fantastic. We requested songs and they played them. We only watched the late show once. It was all lip synched like most resorts and we never went back. This show was run twice. I tried to talk to the Entertainment Manager Keni but she was never around. The property was spotless and always being cleaned with workers likes Orlando who never stopped working or smiling when I would say hello. The beach was kept cleaned and raked every day. My buddy Osborn always said hi when he was raking the beach. We took a little trip to the hills and the Mo Bay Dock Club. Eric (Eric’s Chillout Tours) our driver explained a lot of what we saw. He knew every tree, fruit and back roads around Mo Bay. We took some pictures and enjoyed a few minutes at the great river. The resort and vacation was great

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Overall great experience

Grounds were very well kept and all staff were courteous and friendly and very concerned with our enjoyment.Rooms were very clean even in the Punta Cana hotel, however we upgraded to the 'grand' and the difference was like night and day.Top notch room and washroom,very new!!Adults only, no kids under 18.valet and room service 24/7. What an absolute treat!!Even with all this good stuff, I found the buffet food to be sub-par.We tried the buffet at the Punta-Cana, the Dominica then the Grand and al [... read more]l were ok but by no means great.I was very disappointed at the Grand especially at the higher priced suites and the food being mediocre to OK at best.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Over rated

I struggled to rate this place mainly due to how nice the people were. If not for them I would have rated it lower. The food was just OK, the grounds were clean and nicely decorated. The animation people tried as hard as they could as did the waiters and bartenders. We did not see a shortage of loungers at the pool or the beach. We were given room 5211, which surprisingly was a 3rd floor room. We paid extra money for an oceanfront room which turned out to be a total waste of $300. We could only  [... read more]see a sliver of ocean between a forest of palm trees. The room was small, dark and not very nicely decorated. This was our 13th different resort in the carribean and Mexico and for the money I would rate this one in the bottom half. If this is what most Iberostars are like then I would prefer the Riu chain. We have stayed at 5 of them and were never disappointed.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great vacation

We could not find one reason to complain - everything was perfect: accommodations, service, food and of course THE BEACH !!! There was always something to do, we did snorkeling around the pier : young corals forming, tropical fish. We walked for hours, always busy and amazed. The grounds are kept very well, everything blooming, we found little mimosa plants growing among the grass ! We would love come back to the resort any time and hopefully we will.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Wonderful Family Vacation

This was a perfect vacation for our group of 10 - 6 adults and 4 kids between 6 and 9. There was so much for the kids to do (wave pool, lazy river, kids water park, etc.) and lots of areas for the parents to supervise and have a drink (try the Riviera Maya). Food was always fresh and delicious (be sure to catch the fresh ceviche bar at the buffet) and we always had amazing choices. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Iberostar Ensenachos experience

This was our 5th trip to Cuba, this ,by far was the best.Grand Village Room was Great. Service was exceptional. We will highly recommend this resort, specially the GRAND VILLAGE Rooms. We are definitely going back.

Hotel Mojito: Good resort!

We actually stayed at Sol Cayo Coco! Are room was clean but basic, no bugs! The food was actually good lots of variety! The grounds was well kept with lovely landscaping. Best of all there was two beaches that we could go too. Need improvement in nightly entertainment.

Great resort! Clean, friendly, and well balanced. Good was really good. Most was cooked in front of you which is awesome! Had lots to do but also had nice places to relax quietly. Very safe. Over all an amazing resort. Definitely recommend it. We are planning a trip with friends again soon!!
