Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Awesome

We just returned April 9, 2017 from great vacation. Beach, sunshine, very friendly people, great food, everything was perfect. It has excellent location, you can enjoy ocean view from one side and green hills on other side while drinking best coffee. Great gardens, beautifull flowers, tenis, mini golf, billiar, all makes this resort worth visiting again.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Friendly Staff

Run down and aging but clean. We upgraded to a suite, ocean view room. The view made up for any discomforts. (hot water took 20min to funnel thru the pipes; one afternoon there was absolutely no hot water for the shower). The food has improved, more tasty, improved spicing, daily fresh fish was delicious.

Paradisus Varadero: Defenitley NOT a 5 star!

Rooms in our section old and need desperate updates- problems with noisy or non working air conditioners, lack of towels, clogged sinks, black mould, lack of bottled water. There are NO bathrooms at beach or pool area- you have to walk quite far to the front lobby. Beach is nice- pool is dirty with sand as there are no showers working at pool area, lots of algae in pool and very deep to swim in. Garbage and empty liquor bottles from beach laying around the whole week not sufficient lounge c [... read more]hairs and broken ones left in piles on beach and at side of resort Ran out of plates at buffet , hard to get water refills, all staff are not happy, line ups to get into buffet and then you had to find some seating. Need to change this from a 5 star to a 3 or 3.5 !! Maybe Royal and family side of resort has new buildings but the old side needs a lot of work!

Melia Marina Varadero: Slightly above average

We enjoyed our time at the resort mainly due to the group we traveled with. The staff is excellent, room was good and food was adequate. The lack of shade at both the pool and beach and need to save loungers were negatives for me. The entertainment was quite professional in the evening but the venues for it were very crowded. Location is not the best.....furthest resort from Varadero. Melia Marina Varadero: Enjoyable visit !

Recently visited this resort, this was my 5th trip to Varadero and all my stays have been at Melia Marina. This visit was just as enjoyable as most. My only negative would be the service in the buffet restaurant, have had great service in the past but noticed none of the servers were there anymore. Had trouble getting drinks, breakfast you are able to get juice on your own but lunch and dinner I would be finishing my meal before being asked if I would like a drink. Rooms are very nice and fridge refilled daily.Made a visit to the spa for a massage and dip in the pool always very relaxing. Food was standard for Cuba and I wish more seafood options were available. I still am a fan of Melia Marina.

Melia Varadero: Amazing vacation

The hotel was very nice and was in a clean state at all times. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Booking restaurants and things in the hotel should be a bit easier but other than that it was fantastic!

Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing resort

Staff were very friendly&steady to help when needed.The resort was very clean.Rooms were big& very clean.The food was great&a lots of variety.The weather was great .What more could you ask for.?The rest is up to you to enjoy your holiday.....& yes I would recommend this resort to any of my friends .....

Melia Varadero: TOO BIG FOR ME

There has never a time I've been to Cuba where the people of the island don't helped to create an incredible experience and holiday. This resort for me to was too large, the buffet restaurant food was very below par. They could really do with a decent chef. Sol Palmeras: Beautiful Beach

Beautiful beach, lovely well-kept clean grounds, clean rooms. I did not like the food, but I didn't travel south for the food. I would have liked an outdoor space for meals and snacks. Especially for breakfast when it isn't too hot yet.

Melia Varadero: Melia Varadero

The resort was great with the exception of the food. I would suggest upgrading to the upper levels in order to eat at the a la cartes every night. The beach was beautiful and weather was great the entire time.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great beach and nice people

If you're looking for a place to relax, this is it. Beautiful beaches, nice pool and friendly staff. The resort was clean and well kept, as were the rooms. The drinks could have been better--no slushy type drinks available.

Melia Varadero: Beautiful resort to stay in! Nice staff

The areas around the resort were very clean and all employees were very respectful. Facilities were always usually stocked and easy to access. The surrounding area and being close to downtown varadero was a nice feature of the resort.

Melia Varadero: Awesome Wedding, Amazing Trip

The hotel was very clean, the views were absolutely amazing. The beach was fantastic, close to the hotel. It was so nice having the Plaza right beside us to do some shopping. It was really easy to get to downtown Varadero from there, and really close as well. The food was very good, their breakfast buffet was good, and most of the a la carte's were really excellent. Melia Varadero: Great resort, beautiful wedding!

The resort and accommodations were excellent and well maintained throughout the duration of our stay. Stayed in the ocean view suite and loved the view. The beach was amazing, and is where I spent most of my days.

Beautiful hotel and great service! My favourite part was the resort itself it was very beautiful and clean. The service was also really great. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Exactly as advertised!!

The property was beautiful, the service and staff were impeccable, Royal Service is definitely the way to go !! Hats off to a well managed resort. We were impressed at every turn. They would stop at nothing to meet your every request. The only word we never heard was "no"

Melia Jardines del Rey: melia jardines del rey

Just came back Apr 7/17 from 10 days in Cayo Coco- Melia Jardines del Rey. We had a great time the food was good, our room was beautiful with a walk in shower. The service was great and bungalow 25 had a great location close to lobby bar and main buffet. It backed onto the pool that had an amazing fried chicken restaurant. The only exception was our room faced the market/disco, the 1st few nights didn't bother us but next time I would ask for a pool view - it would muffle the sound of the  [... read more]music. jAlways plenty of toilet paper, clean room & close to the airport only 1 beer ride.

Hotel Camino del Mar: One of the nicest resort in Cuba

Very clean resort the food was excellent for Cuba. Wish they would have told us about the sand fleas on the beach they show up at night till sunrise . The service was very good but they did not have anybody to help with the luggage when we check out we where on the third floor

Tryp Cayo Coco: Fantastic Time!!!!

We went to Tryp end of March for 10 days as a returning guest from last March. We were upgraded to ocean front room at no extra charge...amazing view. We enjoyed everthing about our experience, staff was so nice, food was good, beach was absolutely amazing....will be returning next year.

Tryp Cayo Coco: GO ELSEWHERE !!!!!

Very disappointed in this resort.We waited in the lobby for 2 hours to get our room,the girls at check-in were not the friendliest. When we got our room , it was on the ground floor ,near the quiet pool.Soon as we opened the door the smell of mold was brutal,the furniture was so old and dated it should be in the garbage.I know this is Cuba,however when your paying hard earned money to go on a vacation , I just wanted it to be at least presentable. Buffet food is never hot,however in saying tha [... read more]t ,there was lots of choices.But they leave the doors to the buffet open and flies were all over the food.Lots of cats roaming around sitting on the chairs in the buffet area as well. The first day we got there ,we did get to the beach,however that was not very clean,lots of seaweed and broken chairs,this place really needs to put some care into this resort. If it weren't for the pool being outside of our room,I think I would have went elsewhere.. I was at another resort in Cuba in Jan,wish I would have went back there.(Pestana).
