Here is the good and bad about Iberostar Mojito. First the good.
The beach is beautiful. Staff are helpful getting chairs and bar with a small snack bar are very convenient.
The pools are nice - but not heated, so we're a little cold in Feb. The adult pool was very quiet with its own bar that was never busy. The large pool was a lot of fun with a swim up bar and games and activities.
The rooms were adequate, but basic. The maids work hard to keep things clean. I found the beds comfortable. No bu[... read more]gs and we were in a ground floor room.
The food is fine. The bread is delicious and fresh everyday. Fruit and vegetables are always available. The buffet has a pasta bar and a fresh grill. For breakfast there are fresh omelettes, smoothies and pancakes or French toast. Everyone will find enough to eat and no one in our group had even a tummy cramp, or any other food related problem.
Okay - now the not so good.
Beach is a walk from the main resort area through a lagoon. I liked the walk because it is great for bird watching, but the boardwalk is bumpy with tons of trip hazards.
Rooms are hit and miss. We had to change rooms since our first one was near the generator and was very noisy. Also our safe and some furniture was broken. Things are old and frayed, but still clean.
Pool Snack bar is a disapointment. Service is very slow and sporadic.
Front Desk staff and maintenance staff are a little difficult to work with. We waited on 2 occasions for over a half hour for a maintenance person to come to our room to fix our safe. In the end no one ever showed up and we changed rooms. But it is frustrating when you are told to wait in your room because someone is on the way and then no one shows up! I also could not get resolution from the front desk staff on a service concern in the pool snack bar. I asked to speak to a manager and was then given the run around to a lot of non managers until I waited by the office entrance and approached a manager on my own. This manager resolved my issue immediately, but I got zero co-operation from the front desk staff.
Overall, it is a fine hotel and I think that management is really work hard to improve service levels and there seems to be a lot of maintenance work going on. For the price, I think this is a good holiday option.

This resort is great! The service, food and staff were amazing. The weather didn't cooperate and we only seen sun twice during our 7 day stay but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. Hope to get back soon!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Amazing Resort
The staff are amazing!! Great food and you will never get bored of the food, so much variety. Room Service was always 20min wait, not bad at all, considering they would always say 30-45mins. Beach activities were always fun.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great Hotel
Not 1 bad experience. The staff bend over backwards to keep you happy.
They work so darn hard.
Hotel was much larger than we anticipated.
Lots of activities to keep you busy, plus a great show in the evening.
They did the Lion King on our last night.
Yes we would go back.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: IBERO 5 STAR
We had a fantastic time at the Iberostar, traveled as a couple but the hotel caters for all types of travelers.
The standard room which we were in was ok not the best but it met our needs, the maid service wow exceptional - our maid made a different towel art every day so it was a nice surprise when we got back to the room.
The pools, gardens beach etc where immaculate everyone worked hard to keep all areas clean.
We only went to two of the 4 a la cart restaurants available Japanese & Steak H[... read more]ouse, our favorite was the Steak House (Melt in the mouth steak). The buffet was great lots of choice for all types of pallets, I am a picky eater so it was a nice change for me to be able to choose something rather than having to settle.
The entertainment team are in a class of their own just to name a few Ana, David and Pamela, worked hard all day and night to make our holiday memorable.
A big thank you to everyone and will be coming back soon!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: It was nice
When we arrived our room was musty but then once we opened it up to the fresh air, it was better. I have only been to Dominican before and stayed at a 3.5 star and would compare the two as equal. The people were very nice...some didn't speak english well but no biggie. We walked the beach and must say that our beach was the cleanest. The food was good...I'm a picky eater and I always found something. This is not in my opinion a 5 star (I've never been to one but I'd imagine 5 star would be spect[... read more]acular). I am not hard to please. I want clean and good food that I can enjoy for 7 days. I liked it :)

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: very good overall
overall this resort is very well planned for patron access, walking to any or all amenities is easy to do.We travelled with another couple,in their room the hair blower would not stay running long and the toilet seat was not bolted to the toilet. They went to the front desk every day starting the second day of our trip, and nothing was fixed in their room the entire stay.As some sort of compensation they gave the 4 of us a late check out of 3:00,but only from our room, not both rooms?

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Very Disappointing service
Location is great. Food was excellent. Gorgeous resort. Excellent entertainment. The service was very very poor. It's very unfortunate as the resort itself was perfect but the hotel staff were awful. Front desk was the worst. Put us in the wrong room, took 2 days to sort out. No one was ever helpful. 4 days in a row they would send us all over the resort to talk to different people as everyone would try to pass us off to other depts only to be sent back to the original place. Would never go back[... read more] because of the workers. The run around they continually gave us ruined our vacation.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Fantastic getaway!
This hotel is smaller than most we have stayed at, but who says bigger is better has never been here. The grounds are lush and entire resort is immaculate. Free roaming peacocks, the flamingos and hidden gem of an orchid garden made the environment entertaining and special. Staff in restaurants, spa and reception area were all welcoming and accommodating. Only thing that could make it better for us if it was an adults only resort, but this will not keep us from returning.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: TOP OF THE LINE RESORT
From the moment we arrived until the day we departed the service was excellent. The rooms were clean and daily maid care was above average. The pool was clean and clear, only problem was lack of enough chairs, but from what I have read about other resorts this is a common problem. They need to find a way to stop people from claiming chairs early in the morning and occuping them for the full day. Beach area was clean and guard was on duty at all times, they cleared the seaweed daily unlike some o[... read more]f the other resorts in the area. They had daily activities, directed by employees who were enjoying the activities as much as the guest. Lastly the food was above average, healthy, wide variety, and plentiful.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Relaxing Time at Iberostar Daiquiri
I travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri from Feb 8-15 2016 with my boyfriend. It had been an extremely busy few months and we decided to book this trip last minute. And it was a perfect choice. Although the weather was coolish and windy, it was the perfect relaxing holiday we were needing.
Cayo Guillermo hosts a stunning beach, and is off the mainland, so only tourists can be found on the Island (with Cayo-Coco). It is not ideal if you want to visit Cuba for its culture, although a trip to Moron [... read more]is available if you want to go to the main land. Iberostar Daiquiri is a smallish resort, well laid out, and with great service. The staff was simply awesome and account for such a great stay.
Check-in: Simple and straight forward. I suggest you ask for the code to the safe (2 pesos per day) at check in.
Room: Great location, (Varadero Building room 4124) on the ground floor. Room is basic, and kept very clean. King size bed comfortable. View awesome. Don't know if the tv works, I don't go to Cuba to watch tv.
Beach: Fine white sand, beautiful, could walk it all day. Water turquoise. Lots of chairs and palapas. Cayo Guillermo attracts kite-boarders, and they are fascinating to watch.
Pool: Smallish and gets crowded when the beach is too cool and windy. Not my kind of thing. But people seemed to enjoy it.
Food: Well, you are in Cuba. My suggestion? Go for what Cuba offers best: the fresh fruit is simply delicious. The rice and beans, fresh cheese, beef, eggs and simple salads. I would eat the fish if I were not allergic. That said, I found it a little challenging to dodge the "fish/seafood" dishes at the buffet. I can't have anything that has been contaminated, and the lack of serving utensils and the carelessness of some people (who took the same spoon to serve themselves from all the dishes) made it that I could not eat anything that had fish at a station. I had to be very vigilant, but managed to find things to eat regardless.
Entertainment: The local music is great. The musicians are talented, and it is a joy to listen while having a drink in the spacious and beautiful lobby. I didn't go to any shows.
I definitely recommend Iberostar Daiquiri for anyone who wants a nice, relaxing time with friends, family, and beloveds. Would go back in a heart beat.
Tips - I did not see one mosquito (probably because it was really windy). However, sandflies simply love me. And I am not about to put deet all over my body on the beach. I brought some anti-itch cream which was helpful.
- Bring a facecloth. Cuba doesn't seem to have those.
- I always bring gifts with me: toiletries stay behind, craft supplies, clothing, kids toys, magazines, and gifts from the heart.
- Bring a reusable mug. Very handy. Pina Coladas are great.
Bon Voyage!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Excellent Resort
Nothing but positives to say with the exception of cockroaches twice in the room. They are obviously dealing with this as we were advised that they would be fumigating our block of rooms one morning. Otherwise nothing but praise. The food in the buffet was fresh, varied and good quality. It was easy to get great service in the bars without waiting. The animation team offered lots of varied games if that's what you want and they were fun but not in your face if you weren't interested. Lots of lou[... read more]nge chairs on the beach, harder around the pool if you wanted sun. Good quality gym. Housekeeping was fine. Overall, a really nice resort and excellent value. The hotel grounds were excellent. The staff was amazing, very friendly We had a ground floor room only steps to the beach and only steps to the buffet and pool.
it was perfect. Now remember where you are, the room was ok. the sliding door got stuck and the tv was small .but if your going there to stay in your room then this place is not for you. The food was average but good. we had a great time and definitely go back.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Had a great Trip to the Iberostar Ensenachos
First of all, let me start by saying this was our 7th trip to Cuba and my third to Cayo Santa Maria area. Having stayed at the Melia Las Dunas, Playa Cayo Santa Maria and now the Iberostar, I feel I can give a fairly accurate review. We stayed in the Spa Section Second Floor room. The Room was lovely, nice Cuban feel to it. The Bed was hard but I really haven't found one in Cuba that wasn't. The food was very good for Cuba standards. I felt that the a la carte restaurants could have had a bit be[... read more]tter atmosphere, perhaps candles and music would be a nice touch. Beach was beautiful, more of a natural beach. Some areas of the beach could use a bit of a clean up, but being from the East Coast it didn't bother me one bit!
The resort is huge, would not be suitable for those who do not enjoy walking or have mobility issues. The beach is not visible from the rooms nor the common areas of the resort. It is a bit of a hike along a nice wooden boardwalk through the mangroves.
The cubans working at the resort were very friendly, as we have found everywhere in Cuba. Alexis who works at the front as a bellman is a lovely gentleman who truly takes pride in what he does and the connections he makes with the guests.
As with everyplace we have been, maintenance is often an issue for Cuba... lets face it, they do not have things at their fingertips. So yes there were some light bulbs out along the walkways at night, paint chipping and broken latches in some of the public washrooms. Did it bother us?... NO!
We travel quite a bit and have been to Mexico, DR, Florida as well as Europe. Cuba is and will always be one of our favorite destinations. Great Value for the dollar, and as for the food we have never gone to Cuba and not come home with a few extra pounds. The food is basic, not necessarily gourmet, but we have never really had a bad experience, but have always stayed at 4 star or better resorts.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: very nice resort!
This was one of the nicest resorts we stayed at. The grounds were beautiful ,exceptionally well kept and well maintained by the friendly gardeners. The pool areas were excellent, clean and well looked after. They have an excellent pool and playground area for small children. Our grandchildren ages 3 and 5 had so much fun there. We would recomend the poolside snack bar . Kids really enjoyed the burgers, fries and hot dogs; we did too! The food at the al a carte restaurants was very good for the mo[... read more]st part. We would definitely recomend the steak and lobster at the seafood resturant. The buffet restaurant was also very good. Great selection of meats, vegatables fruits and deserts. The staff at this resort were all very friendly, polite and very good at their job. They were appreciative of a tip but never expecting one! Our room was large, clean and overall very good.Mini bar was well stocked every day always had plenty of bottled water. Maids were excellent!! There were a couple of lights not working when we first got there but that was resolved within minutes. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at this resort and will definitely go back! The only improvement we would like to recomend would be a new more comfortable bed. Our room had a king sized bed that was very firm and could feel the springs. We fixed this problem by putting the extra duvets under the bottom sheet. I rated this resort a 4 star good but if they replaced some beds i would definitely rate a 5 star excellent!! One other thing we enjoyed was the fact there were no time share people hounding you about going to a meeting!! Loved Cuba and Ensenachos!! Beaches were the best!!!
