Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful resort!
We have been to quite a few resorts in the Caribbean, and this is certainly the nicest! The rooms, food, location, activities and ambiance are top notch. What made the Majestic Colonial really stand out was the excellent service provided by the staff. Our needs (and wants) were addressed immediately, and always with a smile. Our butler, Eduardo, made us feel like we really belonged there, and it was nice to have a such a friendly, helpful person to call upon. The only glitch was that I go [... read more]
Riu Republica: Nice place to stay
Riu Republica is really nice place to stay. The staff are friendly and well trained. Overall the place is clean, close to the sea and offers a lot of possibilities. The food is good. Drinks could be better in quality and variety but still fine. The beach is perfect for people who love waves. Swimming pools are good. We were happy to stay there.
Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: HUGE FABULOUS RESORT
Large resort with 8 pools, bars and restaurants galore. Stayed at the adults only part which has it's own pool. This resort is well constructed with the best of materials and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel is new and they have a few issues to figure out and when they do it will be one of the nicest resorts in Punta Cana. On Bavaro Beach which is probably the best beach in Punta Cana. They are currently understaffed and they need to teach their workers some basic English as we have to learn s [... read more]
Impressive Punta Cana: Terrible ... we got sick
It was our first time travelling without our parents (in our 20's) but we have travelled extensively with our parents and knew what to expect in a 5 star.... but not here. We are not sure exactly if it is the issues were systemic in the hotel because it's just terrible over all or because we were young and they didn't view us as guests. The check in process was inefficient and the staff was rude and unhelpful .... the food was beyond terrible. Two of us got sick and one even was hospitaliz [... read more]
Excellence El Carmen: Excellente
This is a 5* all inclusive and worth the money. Service is exceptional and a lot of selection at the numerous restaurants. Rooms are beautiful and large and well maintained. The beach is wide and very long and kept clean. Lots of chairs and palapa so no reserving is necessary. Great time
Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort
Hotel was fantastique! We really enjoy the food and the staff at the bar in front of Grazie restaurant were amazing. Steak house was the best restaurant on the resort. My daughter enjoy the activities and love the surfing. Wave pool was her favorite activities. The show were OK. Beach party and tribute to Queen was by far the best. Thank you,
Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Wonderful experience
This was my first time at an all inclusive resort. Loved everything from the transport from airport to facilities to food and staff. The beach and weather speak for themselves - amazing. There was such a variety of things to do / experience. The Vibe team really engage you and ensure your experience is memorable- dance lessons, Spanish lessons, evening entertainment, post entertainment dancing. My room was beyond comfortable and clean. My butler was kind, intuitive and helpful. While I th [... read more]
Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Amazing resort - do the upgrade!
Resort was fantastic!!! We did the diamond club upgrade with swim out room and it truly made our stay. The butler we had, JOHAN, was incredible and went above and beyond every single night!! Entertainment team was also amazing! The restaurants were incredible. Highly recommend
Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Gorgeous resort but some improvements needed
Hotel layout/design: Above average. Absolutely stunning design features with an easy to navigate layout. Very spacious guest rooms. Service: Average to below average. Very long wait times at restaurants (one night was over three hours for dinner). Slow bar service. I know to expect “Caribbean time†but the service was very disappointing, especially for the five-star design accommodations. Food & Drink: WAY above average. Best culinary experience I’ve had to a southern destination. Pre [... read more]
Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Not what we expected
Here are some of the things we noticed this time around. No more meals on 4 hour flight. Seats no longer recline, no movie, only one sunwing rep on plane. Not a sun wing plane. This was the same there and back. Elite plus passengers not boarded first. Same on the way home. Adults only flight option would be a great idea and I feel people would pay extra for this service. At least group the kids together. Had to take a shuttle to another terminal in Toronto, flight take off delay over an [... read more]
Ocean Blue and Sand: Ocean Blue & Sand Resort vacation 2020
Our family decide it to go to this hotel base upon recommendation, this vacation was amazing, there was good variety in foods and hotels, the meats were amazing and the service at each restaurant was unparalleled. In terms of food and restaurants I loved everything. The activities was great for everyone and the kids all had a blast, from bowling to rock climbing we tried it all and again I cant say anything bad about it. The entertainers were all great and fun to be around, our favorites was mic [... read more]
Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Excellent Resort
The Catalonia Royal Bavaro grounds are immaculate, plenty of food choices, friendly staff, poolside evening entertainment was great. The Barcelona Origens bartenders were outstanding. The resort is easy to navigate. The shows were good. We had fun, relaxed and would go back.
Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Punta Canada !
We stayed at the Grand Memories Splash with upgraded Black Diamond wrist bands which allowed access to the beautiful Royalton Resort next door. The resort was very clean and the grounds are beautiful with live peacocks roaming around. The splash park was great, the slides are awesome for older kids/teens. The beach is Gorgeous, and we rented cabanas by the pool which came with cold Coronas and a fruit plate. The restaurants were OK. But all the food is sourced locally which supports their econom [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort
The room was very clean, always up to standard for a 5 star resort, the resort was always maintained as the hard working people did a good job cleaning, everyone’s friendly, this is a place for someone to relax and enjoy a luxurious getaway!
Secrets Cap Cana: Fantastic Staff!
We stayed at Secrets Cap Cana for 7 nights this January and it was absolute perfection! From the moment we exited the shuttle from the airport we were treated like royalty. Check-in was quick and we were escorted by our Concierge Eduar to our room. Eduar took the time to explain the resort as we walked to our room and full explained all the features of the room when we arrived. The room and resort were spotless and house keeping always did a great job. The beach is just as pictured, wide, palm t [... read more]

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great Resort for Families
My family stay here Jan 5-12. Kids(14,11 &9) had a great time. Rooms were all freshly renovated and clean and it looks as thou they have done and are working on renovating more. The main pool and beach area was great. The waterpark pool is ok but could use little tlc. Kids didn't care thou they loved it. The entertainment team was great and had lots of things/competitions to do everyday along with great shows in the evening. Buffet was great lots of choices and my kids are fussy eaters they [... read more]
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Meh
Not much to do at nite but go to crowded lobby. Place for entertainment was hidden around a corner by front entrance. Pool and beach were impossible to get chairs, time share BS etc. However, food, staff, grounds were fantastic. Too many vendors at beach buggin you.
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Not bad
Grounds are beautiful, staff are friendly, beds were comfortable but room was tired. Food was good and love the fact that we didn’t need to book a la cartes. Biggest issue with this resort is that they provide unlimited towels so people took advantage and were reserving spots at beach and pool. Was almost impossible to find a chair. It was that or hotel simply does not have enough. The other problem was the vendors at the beach....constantly bothering people which I get but gets to be rather a [... read more]
