Playabachata Hotel: Overall good trip

The resort grounds are well maintained. If you like a wavy beach this is the perfect place! My room was comfortable, the ceiling fan was good enough to cool off (I never tried turning the AC on). There were several employees with poor attitudes, I focused on the good ones. Liz was the best bartender and very sweet. There was lots of selection at the buffet, however I found the food very oily. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazon resort

Excellent hotel, very good room(could’ve improved the bathroom), excellent people, all employees very nice and courteous, activities and vibes team were just top. We enjoyed all shows and entertainment. Every single employee was making sure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Amazing beach and the swimming pool area. Would definitely go there again. Ty

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Fantastic Family Fun

So much to do…for all 10 of us ranging in age from 6-80 years old! The hotel was spotless and the gardens were continually being maintained.The pools were amazing as was the water park. For the most part the restaurants were great. The only disappointment was the Mexican Restaurant where the food was slow to come, two meals never came and one family had to leave as the kids were tired and needed feeding. They were well maintained with an excellent supply of towels.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Awesome experience

I contacted Trip Central re: March Break 2023 vacation I got in touch with Monique, who had exceptional suggestions within my price range We were not disappointed, the food, pool, beach, entertainment @ Bahia Principe Grand el Portello in Samana Dominic Republic was beyond our expectations Just 1 minor hiccup, we were booked for 8 days, 7 nights, however, because of delays with Air Transat, we ended up staying 7 days, 6 nights

that hotel is simply amazing....no other words describeit....everything you need is there...the food is ok,so much to choose from,nobody goes hungry....the stretch of beach is one of the nicest in the caribbean,my brother and i have been up and down that coast for 20 years...i would highly recommend this hotel to anybody...

Catalonia Royal La Romana: Hilton La Romana

This is a very nice resort. Checkin was very quick and smooth, best we’ve ever experienced Rooms are spacious, updated and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Food was very good. We always had good selection at the buffet and enjoyed the reservation free restaurants. Privilege area needs some work. It wasn’t special at all. Food was awful and just nothing special there at all. It did have a bar and was air conditioned but other than that a waste of space. Pools are amazing. Hated that y [... read more]ou had be up at the crack of dawn to get a good chair. Cost of Bali beds is ridiculous. Beach is beautiful. Rocky in areas. Could use more shade options. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment is non existent in the adult lobby. You had to go to the family side for shows but it would have been nice to have music at least in the evenings. Very boring to just sit there.

The overall resort was nice, some areas need some work, signs of wear and tear. The food was great for adults, wish more options for kids at buffet like French fries, hot dogs, etc. The room/building needed alot of work, front door didnt close properly unless slammed, if door wasnt not locked it would open by itself, closet doors wouldnt close. Patio door wouldnt open on track properly from right side. Mold visible in the artwork and lamp shades. Lighting switches would not properly, sometimes [... read more] not at all. No dresser had to use ironing board to organize clothes. Bed and pillows hard. NO HOT WATER NOT EVEN WARM.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Mediocre resort

staff was pleasant ,food was good. Way to much stairs not good for elders or disability, very hard beds, no hot water entire week, very outdated and dirty/unkept rooms. Very unclear where activities were as they never say the locations. Very little entertainment or activities for kids including meals.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Confresi Palm Beach

Food was amazing, rooms were outdated no dressers or shelf’s to put cloths, beds were hard and pills lumpy. I could live with those things but there was NO HOT water the whole 7 days it was freezing!! Our group had young children that would scream when they had to showers!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Nice resort!

The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The service was excellent! The train didn’t come often enough to take you to the pool and the beach when you were in the far villas. The food wasn’t to our satisfaction.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: great staff and hotel but bad food

Hotel rooms and amenities are great Staff especially our butler Santiago were exceptional But the food was cold undercooked veggies and tasteless . Steak was tough for filet .One bad experience (not the hotels fault) was the catamaran company on the beach we used called marinana group .It was old ,had no flush toilets,running water and music so loud my ears rang for day ! The staff on board were good but poorly maintained boat

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Everything was amazing, except one thing:

We were totally happy and impressed whether all aspects of the resort! Food, rooms, pools, grounds, staff were all great. Our only complaint was that the buffet and a-la-cartes all opened at 6 or 6:30, which was way too late for our young children to be having dinner after a fun day in the sun. There was a snack bar open at the beach, but usually we ate lunch there and it was further away.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Decent

The major problem is communication. We specified on many occasions we needed a specific area / room / floor for our father, the entire family (9 people) had to move twice, except my family who had to move 3 times from Friday to Monday. This was disappointing. The Italian restaurant service was slow, and I mean, we were there for 90 minutes and that was because we started to ask for things, the food, coming from an Italian backround, wasn't the greatest either. Ocean Blue and Sand: Not what we’ve expected.

Our goal was to have a pre-pandemic vacation experience. We haven’t had it for 2 years and decided to buy a privilege level of service. Unfortunately, privilege level is this hotel doesn’t mean much. Privilege pros: - ability to book restaurants - free room service - separate beach with canopies (only in theory) - beach towels by request without cards (only in theory) - dinner from chef (again, only theoretical) - maybe I forgot something else In reality, they have a very tiny pie [... read more]ce of privilege beach with 8 canopies that are always busy as well as all sun beds. We tried to come at 9, 8, and then 7 am - everything is busy. Beach towels - we have always been asked for cards, despite we haven’t been given any. Dinner - just a regular dinner in Italian restaurant, nothing else. Overall, I see that this is probably a result of pandemic layoffs. But stuff do es their job only if you give them money. Disappointed. But there is a bright side. This hotel is a really a thing for people with Celiac. It has a good gluten free menu and stuff knows about cross contamination. Milk products are of a good quality, no wheat, and can be consumed with an issue.

Great food, safe water great time in the pool and lunch beside the pool. Beach was lots of fun and nice to have our own restaurant at the beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Awesome hotel

The Royalton CHIC was very clean and the staff were great. Every night the buffet had lots of options.Room service was also very good and prompt. The waves were too high to go in the water but the pools were great.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: EXCELLENT RESORT FOR ALL AGES

The first thing you notice is just how hard everyone works to keep this resort spotless. The grounds are also neat and tidy.. BEACH & OCEAN - again, lovely clean sandy beach. The ocean was a bit rough when we were there due to rather windy weather. We were disappointed to learn that the gorgeous 'beds' on the beach were only for "Premium Visitors," as we do not remember seeing this addendum next to the lovely brochure photos. A 'hidden gem' was the bar and grill overlooking the beach and sea.  [... read more]POOL - Clean, with easy access for seniors. Plenty of chairs available. FOOD - Outstanding - certainly the best buffet food we have had at any resort in Dominican or Cuba. No need to reserve for a "Specialty" restaurant, although we tried the "Octopus" and "Italian" which were both very good. ENTERTAINMENT - this was OK but not up to the general standard of the resort. Tough to give this more than 3 stars - ** see below. **KARAOKE NIGHT - there were many senior visitors, including us two. I know it is always a challenge to please everyone, but in our view, this evening was a total disaster. The show started well, with the first 3 or 4 contestants doing a pretty good job. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. The next several songs were all very loud 'hip-hop' stuff. The stage was 'invaded' by as many as 7 or 8 teenagers, who literally took over, with the compere loosing total control. What started off as decent entertainment became a wild, noisy, frantic melee of youngsters. My guess is that everyone over 40 made a rapid exit with perforated eardrums. MUSIC - unless you are really into noisy Caribbean music, it was usually necessary to find chairs well away from the large amplifier. I think they had the bass turned up full as the constant beat of drums sometimes reverberated in our room! ROOMS - spacious, with very comfortable beds. The fridge was always filled with complimentary water, soft drinks and beer. Great TV but mainly Spanish. Shower was great and always plenty of hot water. We could have done with a couple of hand rails in the shower. Really, only one negative - where was the coffee maker? STAFF - very friendly and helpful with no exceptions. We are 2 seniors with walkers and everyone went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. SUMMARY - we would probably go back to this resort as it has so many positives. I do wish they would turn down the music or play something different. Finally, we would not fly with Sunwing again, but that's another story. Martin Lacey

This resort is very well laid out and kept in pristine condition. We stayed there 4 years ago and the renovations that have been done since are amazing! The staff are great, the food is great and the activities are varied and all fun. We will visit again ....

Punta Cana Princess: Paradise!

Everything was topknotch! Loved the room, the food, the beach! This is a smaller resort so it wasn't a long walk anywhere. There were always plenty of spots on the beach. The restaurants were amazing and the buffet had so many options and was delicious. Outside of my room was a conversation set I would read at each afternoon, it was lovely. The mornings on the beach were breathtaking and there was stretching on the beach and aquafit in the pool everyday. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Good 4 star

Buffet was great. Japanese restaurant and Mexican restaurant okay. Italian restaurant terrible. Drinks were terrible especially at the beach and pool bars. Staff were excellent, very friendly. Resort has a nice layout and feel but rooms and overall amenities need a refresh.
