Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Fantastic resort!

This was our second visit to the Jewel Runaway Bay and it is absolutely a wonderful place to be. The food options provide a vast array of choices which are all great. The weekly dinner on the beach is awesome. Vendors brought on the resort are really respectful. The rooms are standard rooms however are comfortable. The kids camp is Amazing and they do more with the kids than we have ever experienced. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We love it and will be back.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Amazing resort

Just got back from 8 days at Jewel runaway bay resort in Jamaica I can not sat enough great things about the resort. Stayed in the junior oceanfront suites...which were amazing. Yoy practically get a entire pool to yourself. Stayed in room 1031 which is dead centre right on the ocean. Food was mostly great. Eating out in the heat was a challenge. Pizza...amazing...beef patties at the grill... Awsome Fed the fish by hand which was cool. Our two kids 7 and 10 had a blast at the water [... read more]mark. They actually loved the infinity pool the best... Me too because what more do u want then to swim up to the bar and order a drink Best drinks ever... Did horseback riding in the water and Dunn's River falls...both r a must Even though the resort was at full capacity, I never felt squished with people Sailing for free on the holy cats were great too We r already looking at goung hack Thus time, we will get a private plunge pool Ya mon....

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Mixed feelings

It is a very disorganized hotel, and it took us well over 2 hours to get to our room. We were sent from one area of the lobby to the next three times before the check in process even started. Then we were sent to another counter to get the key for the safe. Of course after that we were sent to another line to the "cashier" who advised us that we did not need to make a deposit and handed us the instructions for the safe. Other than the years worth of soap scum in the shower stall, the room was kept pretty clean. The mini fridge was only stocked with three beers only when we left a significant tip. Otherwise the fridge guy left it completely empty. The food was good, there were lots of options and many of them were delicious. The snack bar is a buffet of lunch leftovers sitting in the heat for hours on end. We tried to order room service the first night as we arrived late and we were told it is not available after 10pm. We went to bed hungry that night. When we asked the front desk the next day the lady called room service and gave them a hard time, so we did get room service on subsequent days. The beach is man made, very icky to step on with a LOT of seaweed and even mud on the bottom. It is hard to swim because it fluctuates, so you may be 10m out and feel seaweed brushing your leg or belly. Some of the servers were amazing though, and we did have a good time in spite of all the issues. We were approached by 80% of the staff trying to sell us all kinds of drugs. Many of the describes upgrades for the royal golden were not received, but the view was nice.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great resort!

The resort is very well kept the staff keep the place very clean. The food was pretty good not great but pretty good. The only complaint we had was the housekeeping needs to restock all supplies every other day. We should not run out of things like toilet paper? Towels or shampoo. Entertainment was great! staff like Naby, red stripe and Happy are awesome!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing resort

The hotel was wonderful very clean would go back again. Met some very nice friends while vacationing at this resort. The grounds were beautiful to explore, and we'll kept. The staff was very friendly. And the room was very clean and well kept. The food was very good. As I am a picky eater. I had to lot of choices while there. Can't wait to go back again.

Secrets St James: Very nice staff, good services, but not a luxury resort

Overall, the people working at the resort was very nice, but if you are looking for a luxury resort with good food/drinks and luxury amenities, this is not the resort. The people working at the resort work very hard, but the quality is just not there and it is not their fault.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Inconsistent service

We are returning clients to Bahia Príncipe chain( 4 times, first time in Jamaica). Service at this hotel,restaurants and rooms is inconsistent. Food is good , rooms and halls in the hotel could be cleaner. Beach is nice, but looks like is difficult to manage such a huge hotel and provide consistent service, they struggle. Staff is not going the extra step to make a difference.

Sandals Dunn's River: Fantastic food,amazing people!

The hotel was amazing,the food was delicious,the service was fantastic. It was nice to stay at a resort that was small and personable.All the staff seemed happy. I really enjoyed the infused water and the cafe on sight.The staff would sing to me and were very attentive. There is a cab driver named Junior Brown. I would highly recommend him if you want to take a taxi anywhere.We really enjoyed blue hole,scothy's and david's lobster,

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday inn resort in Montego Bay

Everything was good ... only thing is if you are big swimmer you will not ne able to do it much around resort as water is most of the time around waste...I am about 6 feet tal sooo...something to consider

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great hotel!

This was actually a great hotel to spend a week. Rooms were clean and food was amazing! Disco was good, music great! The beach is small but you can walk along to the other Iberistar properties. The only issue we had was with the check-in. It was incredibly disorganized and we had to wait 45 minutes.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome resort

This was our first time in Jamaica and can't wait to go back some day . The hotel was beautiful ,all areas were immaculately kept. The staff was so welcoming ,helpful, and some staff very entertaining all seem to enjoy their jobs . The rooms were spotless, The food was excellent ! Best we have ever had at an all inclusive . Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Fantastic resort and a great time!

We travelled to sandals Ochi in July 2016 (July 5-12) for our 10 year anniversary. We are a couple In our 30's who have travelled to many all inclusive resorts and this one was our best experience! The food was phenomenal everywhere. i wish we were there longer to have been able to try every single spot! Our faves: vista/sky terrace for dinner (lobster tails, scallops and oysters!), Le gourmand is the French restaurant on the hillside. But all in all, the restaurants were fantastic and we didn't have any complaints. The daytime entertainment was fun. If you don't want loud games, drinking and laughter, stay away from the main pool on the beachside. The hillside has the grand pool but you need to grab the 2 min shuttle to get there. Not a big deal but we just preferred the beach side as there were more options and our room was there. The evening entertainment was probably one of the things I wouldn't bother mentioning-it was kind of cheesy. A couple shows were good but overall I enjoyed the couples games they did before the main show more. The rooms were nice, clean. No complaints. Beds were comfortable. Some spots showed their age, like in the shower but it wasn't dirty and I didn't come there to hang out in my room. They offered turn down service every evening as well. The beach was small but again, clean. Can't go for a nice walk along the beach like you might in other carribean islands and at first this was a sore spot for us but as we relaxed into the second day we enjoyed the privacy of the beach and.not being harassed by vendors. We did a private tour to dunns river falls with Lorenzo. He is on the resort but he is his own company. He has a small boat near the beachside restaurants and he's there everyday. We were the first people at dunns river at 9am and there wasn't a single person on the falls. It was a beautiful experience. After that we took a car and went to the blue hole, which was a blast. So much fun there enjoying the crystal clear fresh waters. Overall we loved that day trip. They offered us a sunset catamaran cruise on the last day we were there (it's just how it worked out for space) and we were completely rained out. The only drop of rain all week and it came down all. Day. Long! We still made the best of it and enjoyed our day under the beach bar and playing pool, making new friends :) I would definitely return to this resort and plan to book another sandals holiday the next time me and my husband can get in a romantic getaway:)

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great stay at Grand Palladium Jamaica u

Our vacation was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the resort. The property was very clean including the rooms restaurants and beach/pool. We were really glad to have chosen this specific resort for our stay in Jamaica and would highly recommended it to others to spend their vacation time here.

Sandals Dunn's River: R&R vacation

This is an amazing resort. It was our third time visiting Jamaica. Jewel Dunn's is now our favorite spot. Thanks to Jairus at tripcentral who listened carefully to my request and then made his suggestions. I really do appreciate his honesty. My husband and I had a relaxing time. The food was delicious. Kimmy at the café greets us  [... read more]with a warm smile and a song☺ The staff there are very keen on serving you. They genuinely are warm and friendly. A smile goes a long way. Our room, at first, was noisy on the ground floor. By the third day we were switched to a much quieter higher room. Now that made our vacation worth while. The grounds were well taken care of. I loved walking around in the quietness amounst the trees where there are hammocks and benches. The gym. Power walks with Junior in morning @7am!! It was great! Dinner on the pier was a special touch. I loved it! I just can't wait to return!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Good Value!

We chose the H-Inn since Decameron was sold out - we went with an open mind, since the reviews were not quite favorable. The positives: lots of space and quiet areas(lobby, grounds, beach, pools, chairs, wade-out island) decent food, very pleasant & friendly staff, quick check-in, huge room, kid-friendly, great maid service. The negatives: Very lame entertainment shows, far from the strip, bathroom needs serious updating, needs more food variations, expensive excursions, caters to more America [... read more]ns than Canadians (if that matters). Tips: Pier-one on Friday nights are great. If you venture outside the resort, be mindful of rip-offs... we went to Margaretaville on the $10US entry night, they tried to tell us it was $35 all inclusive. Change some money into JA currency - you gain more! Also, try to get buildings 5-7 if you want peace & quiet - we had 5, 2nd garden floor- king room.. it was awesome! If you're not very kid-friendly choose a different resort. While we have no kids & dont mind them, after day 4 we started to avoid the "busy" areas. Go with an open mind & expect a 3-star!

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Paradise on the beach!

The location of Sandals Ochi is a slice of heaven all the way from the hotel room down to the beach! The sand is white and the water is a beautiful clear blue. The service is outstanding and every employee working there goes out of their way to make your visit perfect! The food is beyond spectacular and lots of options. Highly recommend this resort!

Sandals Dunn's River: Exceeding Expectations

Having never been to a 5 star resort Jewell Dunns exceeded all expectations. The food was excellent and there were many options to select from - Japanese, Italian, Buffett, Pizza (forno oven), and Fast Food (delicious Jerk chicken). Of all noted the Japanese (same theme as Japanese village but too much Teriaykai) and Italian came in last as favorites surprisingly. There is also a private coffee bar ("Irie" Cafe) which can easily meet your coffee preferences. Try the rum liquor in an iced c [... read more]offee or your rise and shine addition to the local bean. The tennis courts were a nice touch a canopied by personal lessons by an instructor. The outdoor gym had lots of equipment but make sure you get in early or workout late to minimize the humidity factor. The pitch and putt is there to brush your skills but not too much effort is kept to make it a viable option and the clubs available I wouldn't put up on Craigslist. As for daily events it's very well organized and advertised. Each night a newsletter is added to your suite of the next day's agenda. It's not Groundhog Day agenda either as it differs besides some a activities such as vball, aquasize, tennis lessons, and the nightly piano bar "last call" night cap area. There is the resort band which is great but there is normally different acts/shows nightly. For example Steel drum (so good) break dance, bongo drum, crab racing, know your partner quiz, etc. Of the 6 nights we were there the bands played 3 times outside on the beach. Speaking to dinner the last night we stayed the resort hosted a special 5 course dinner on the pier - simply amazing. Some folk weren't too happy with the beach but I found it more than acceptable. Nice sand, pergolas, lawn chairs, beach vball, free paddle board rentals. The resort has two pools including swim up bars with a variety of drinks to select from. Ask for a Bob Marley or Jamaican Kiss to help cool you down on hot day. Despite not doing the spa thing it offers all spa related amenities. The prices for those options persuaded us otherwise. The excursions can be booked at the hotel through the resort or a third party vendor. The location of the resort is great for the excursions minimizing associated travel time. Check out "Blue Hole". Much better than Dunns River falls. Go through a cab driver for that tour as it's cheaper and more thorough with the private guide they'll set you up w/.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great resort

Beautiful resort, lovely staff (especially nabi the animator), food is very good, beach is okay(not more than that). Only thing we did not like was that we cannot reserve for the restaurants which would mean some nights there were no place for us or we would have to go earlier

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Displeased with my stay.

Some of the staff were unapproachable. I waited 3 house for ice one night and an hour another night. Twice I came back late in the afternoon and my room was not clean and I had food from the night before. I will go to Jamaica again but I will not stay at Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica.
