Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: nice resort

Resort was nice ,clean and staff was vary nice.Food was excellent. The only problem we had was every time you went to the beach people were there asking you if you wanted to go to the market just down the beach.First time they asked we went to the market, it was ok the usual souvenirs, but every time after that when we went to the beach they were there asking if they could take you really anoing .We stopped going to the beach.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing family vacation

This resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was always friendly and provided excellent service. The food was good. The buffet was the best we've had at an all inclusive. There was always a great variety of fresh food available. The grounds were immaculate. We would go back in a minute.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

The Resort was great, the food was good, entertainment was excellent, the beach was poor due to the rocks and corral . It could have been cleaned up and added more sand so that swimmers could swim in it.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Nice Resort - Great Value

The grounds were great - well kept - lots of lush green - Pool areas were very nice. Good size crowd - never had any lineups but the resort was well attended. Room was great - nice size - view was not great. Food was average - they need to discover some spices. Entertainment was not the best.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Rum & love & sunshine

As a young couple, we stayed at an Iberostar in another destination and completly fell in love with it. When we were given the chance and had saved up to go away to discover a new vacation destination,we'd choose no other than Iberostar. We knew we'd be in fabulous hands! Hotel Mojito: Dot happy

Rooms were clean but minimal, pools were average, grounds out dated and unimpressive, staff hit or miss, service 4/10, customer service very poor 1/10 overall happy that we got a decent price for this resort but would not pay more than $800/pp

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Hotel does not appreciate repeat customers

This was our 4th trip to this resort & probably our last. In the past, we have always contacted the resort with our preferred room location & they have been very accommodating to our requests. I emailed the resort again this year, 1 month prior our trip, requesting a room close to the beach, facing the pool. Claimed they would do their best to accommodate. When we checked in, the fellow at the front counter gave us a room in building 29 (farthest from the beach), facing a parking lot and the roo [... read more]m smelled of sewage. The worst location at the resort. They obviously do not appreciate repeat customers. We have never been treated so poorly. After crying & complaining he finally agreed to change our room but not until our 3rd day of our 7 day vacation. Meanwhile, there were people checking in after us that got much better rooms. Also upon checkout, we found to be treated in a very impersonal fashion. No thank you for choosing their resort, no hope you had a nice stay & no wishing you a safe trip home. The checkout clerk barely looked up to see who we were. Very unprofessional. On the upside, the resort is in a beautiful jungle setting with roaming wild life including their star attraction, the monkeys! The pool is huge & the staff do an excellent job at keeping it very clean. The beach is fabulous & is on one of the best locations in the area. The entertainment staff work very hard at keeping guests busy & welcomed. The resort did a fantastic job at renovating after the fire that happened in October. You would never know there was a fire. The outdoor restaurants & bars near the pool/beach area were very good for lunch & snacks. Main buffets had limited selection & always found the food to be cold. For us, the best specialty restaurant was the Steak House. The Japanese was good but Mexican was a disappointment. Cleaning staff did an excellent job as usual. Front desk needs improvement. This is our first time at writing a review & are being as honest as possible. We have brought & recommended many people to this resort over the years & are now contemplating spending our trip dollars elsewhere

We have no real complaints about this resort...except for the smoking issue.Smoking is not allowed in the restaurants which is great. .however,as is the case with most Carribean resorts,smoking is allowed in all other public areas...bars,patios etc.As is the case here in Ontario, we would love to see smoking banned in public areas.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice resort! Food not so great....

Nice resort (average for all inclusives that I've been to) but the food was awful. Everything is imported from China, vegetables are canned, meat is poor quality. We felt sick the whole week and still do several days later. The people working here are all very nice and helpful. The beach and pools are awesome. Overall the experience would have been great had it not been for the terrible food.

We only had one complaint re this hotel,,and its one we have with all resort destinations we have been to...althought smoking its not allowed in restaurants, it is allowed in most of the public areas.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

We stayed here January 16-23 and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were ok, smaller than we are used to, but we weren't there to stay in the room, the beds very comfortable and we never had any issues with hot water. The rooms were really clean, fantastic towel art, the only issue we had with the room was when the air conditioning was turned on, it smelled very musty, they need to do some maintenance on the air. The grounds were lush and very well kept and there were peacocks, wild pig [... read more]s, flamingos, cats, huge iguanas, parrots and turtles. Because of the humidity the beach had sand fleas, I didn't read the paper they gave us with our welcome package so found out the hard way. There was no problem getting chairs on the beach or a palapa, but most of the chairs around the pool had towels claiming them early in the day. The staff are excellent! very hard workers. The food was good, not fantastic, but good, it became repetitive in the main buffet, and I didn't like the bulk yogurt in the morning. Everyday there was a bar-b-q down near the beach and the food there was excellent. We found the entertainment to be better than we have found in most resorts, very talented young people. If you are a diver this is a perfect resort, I'd say 1/2 the people staying there were divers and would go out several times a day. The cappuccinos were great! There is a store on site and it is not over the top expensive. We went into town one day and it cost $18 on way, but worth it. I would recommend this resort.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Awesome resort

Huge resort. Great food. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Awesome beach. Close to airport. Close to Playa del Carmen and close to Peurto Moreles. Huge pool but very cold. Has a little shopping mall on the resort and a convention center.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Average Resort

The first time we arrived we were starving and was encouraged to eat before we checked in . The food was horrible and inedible and we thought we had made a major mistake in travelling (terrible feeling to think the whole vacation was going to be like that on day 1) The food did get a little better but mid way through the vacation I got terribly sick with food poisoning to the point I was hospitalized for a day and a half resulting in us missing our excursion that we could not get our money back  [... read more]from. When we complained we got the standard line that they have quality controls on the food they prepare and no one else was sick but if others complained they would let us know....right! We also fell prey to their "orientation" which did not last the 90 minutes but the whole day with pressure sales to sign up for their time share although they don;t call it that. I did sign up but then called to cancel the next day which was another wasted 2 hours as they continued to convince us we were doing the wrong thing. They ended up charging us $500 canadian to get out of the contract! As a result our vacation was not a vacation as I really could not enjoy the all inclusive as i was placed on a restricted bland non alcoholic diet for 15 days . Don't waste your time and money. There are many other wonderful places and resorts where you truly can have a vacation

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: expected more

I did not travel to Cuba with overly high expectations, given I've travelled to Cuba several times in the past and only go to 4.5 + star hotel ratings in that country. Although my trip and stay at Iberostar Laguna Azul was for the most part enjoyable, I was quite disappointed that there was no hot water....which was a little warm at best, and the towels in the room were extremely worn out and old. The food was just ok. What upset me the most, which is why I would not recommend an Iberostar resor [... read more]t in the future, is that somehow miraculously all my above complaints improved as soon as we found out Iberostar representatives were on the premises and handing out questionnaires to guests asking for their opinion on the resort. All of a sudden, the water was a little warmer, the towels were clean looking and newer, and there was a larger variety of food choices at the buffet. The fact that the hotel was not living up to it's standards is a reason never to return there.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Very enjoyable holiday!

Just returned from the Iberostar Costa Dorada and had a great time. Unfortunately we had a few days of non stop rain, but one cannot control the weather. I cannot find anything to complain about our stay. We requested a room change to an ocean view and this was done for us with no issues. Thank you for that! We found that the food at the buffets and the a la carte's was excellent quantity and quality. Staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and helpful. Lovely beach for walking and we didn [... read more]'t have any issue finding chairs. Spent most of our time on the beach, but the pool did look lovely as well. Rain did not dampen our spirits and we had a wonderful time and I would return. One suggestion I would make is that perhaps there could be more stringent rules regarding designated smoking areas. Being nonsmokers, we did notice a fair bit of smoking.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Middle of the Pack

Grounds were ok, lots of cracked tiles in hallway and elevators. Not enough lighting in hallways. Patio seating had way too much bird droppings on them. (too many birds in eating patio's. Room towels too thin and not enough of them to go around. Pool towels the same, couldn't get a fresh one daily. Bed mattress worn could feel coil springs through them, not very comfortable really. Room itself was clean enough but not to Grandma's liking...(could have been more clean.)

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: We had an amazing time!

The snorkelling at the beach was quite cool most days. At times it was a bit windy and this made the water quite sandy. This obviously impacted visbility. For most days the water was crystal clear. We saw some rays, some crabs, lots of fish and just had a great time snorkeling. The food at the resort was excellent. We had some reservations about the food based on earlier reviews but found these concerns to be unfounded. The drinks were excellent as well, we found the pop corn at the main lobby  [... read more]bar to be quite a welcome surprise. We found the staff to be very conscientious and really made an effort to get to know us. Some of the rooms were a bit stuffy mostly due to moisture buildup. I believe the rooms would benefit through the installation of some exhaust fans. To combat this i would have to leave my door open in the morning to let the moisture escape after my showers. I would also leave any wet towels/clothes outside and would let them airdry.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE!

The staff worked very hard to make our trip a lot of fun with the right balance of relaxation. The scuba instructor (Tess) was excellent and very personable. We really enjoyed the clean environment and choices of great food. We plan to return again. Jamaican people are the best!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Very Nice Resort!!

We had so much fun. the rooms are huge, large walk in closet, large bathroom with separate shower and tub. People are so friendly and always with smile. The ground are properly maintained. The beach is clean and nice. The shows are great and very entertaining! Food is ok - as expected with Cuba. Easy access to go downtown Varadero via public transit - only 5 pesos for day trip. Overall we had a great time.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great resort and fabulous people

My family and I had an amazing time at iberostar Cozumel. We also came across a beach bar called Alberto's just a few steps from the hotel. That was also amazing. The only thing I would add is a mini bar in the room with rum, vodka etc. I don't drink beer so having that in the room would be great
