Riu Tequila: RIU Tequila
Fantastic beach with perfect balance of shallow and deep water. Clear water and clean beach. Great for a long walk on white soft sand. Excellent , huge restaurant on the beach . Enough beach chairs and natural shade. Riu Tequila is definitely outdated , but still good compare to the price. Food is desent, lots of fresh fruits. . The only complaints ,the hotel is 800m walk to the beach and there is only one beach shuttle which doesn't even goes the whole day.
Riu Republica: Nice place
Good food, actually very good food. Liked that all of the 3 restaurants were along the same row. Quite nice beach and enjoyed the walk up pool bar. Large resort and quite nice. I didn't feel it warranted a 5 star rating, not as luxurious as what I would consider to be a 5 star. Maids did well with keeping it clean. Unusual washroom - it had a smoked glass wall in the shower so that others in the room could see outlines of the person as they took a shower! Not a good design idea. Felt very [... read more]
Riu Montego Bay: AMAZING RESORT!
Amenities are par non ,Staffs are remarkable, would return for the nightly Entertainment. Had a few disapointed services to fixed but were Resolved Quickly. Last but not Least thanks for your Travel service Ms Teelah Brown.
Riu Republica: not a resort I would reccomend
We did not make it to the RIU Republica the reviews were terrifying we made alternate arrangements and stayed at the EXCELLANCE in the Dominican and loved it. No I would not recommend the RIURE REPUBLICA to my friends.
Riu Playa Blanca: Riu Playa Blanca, Panama
The hotel was beautiful, modern and clean. The reception staff were awesome. We booked with trip central but the trip was Signature Vacations. Our representative was not helpful at all with the problem in our room. When we showered, the water came out onto the floor. We ended up going to reception, telling them about the shower leaking. They upgraded us that day. The food and staff were great. The grounds were well kept. Having a choice of 4 pools to use was very nice. The only negative respon [... read more]
Riu Republica: Really good resort!
We enjoyed staying in this resort. The staff was wonderful, and tried to please everyone. You are a guess at the hotel and you need to treat everyone with respect. I have seen a few guess I would not invite in my house, rude. In my opinion, the drinks were too jenerous, too much alcohol. Even if we asked, be easy on the amount, they still gave you too much. They still need to make grounds little better, but it is still in progress. We loved the food!
Riu Negril: Great Time
Loved it just wished there was music by the pool or beach all the time. And more entertainment that lasted more then 10pm. Great location, great beach. Try walking to one end to another it's beautiful and so many different small fish on the one end. Every time we wanted to go somewhere we had to take a private bus which got expensive
Riu Palace Jamaica: Rui palace Montego Bay was amazing
Just got back from Riu Palace Montego Bay June 5 to the 12th The minute we walk in the staff were awesome very friendly. The hotel was beautiful the rooms were also good rooms very clean and big The food was very good The waitress and waiters were very nice always smiling and very helpful The grounds very clean and beautiful landscapes , loved the pools Definitely will go back
Riu Negril: meh
The food was repetitive, the beach was nice although lots of seaweed and alot of locals trying to sell you stuff, the pools were not very big, the rooms were nice, bit of a drive to get to the resort but a nice secnic view of Jamaica. Al a carte restaurants weren't very good other then the steak house. Still made the best of our trip an enjoyed ourselves.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Good value for the money
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. A la carte restaurant experiences were great - both food and service. The only one we didn't try was the Steak House. The process for booking the specialty restaurants is ridiculous. You have to line up between 8 and 9 in the morning at the restaurant reservations desk to book - and you can only book 2 evenings at a time.
Riu Guanacaste: Okay resort, lacked energy
The grounds were beautiful but my room was dirty. Cockroach in bathroom and fecese left in the toilet. Musty smell in room and had to request new sheets. Food was excellent. Sunset is at 6 and no entertainment til 9, no music in lounge etc... im a low key person but I felt this hotel lacked energy. Spa was awesome. Went here to surf, highlight of trip.
Riu Santa Fe: Great time. Fun resort but....
Had a great time, rooms excellent and clean. The buffets were good lots of selection. Grounds well maintained . Friendly service at bars and buffet. Pools are lots of fun but..be aware the two small pool bars at front of building 7 tend to be loud and full of partiers occasionally the odd person (s) tend to get out of hand. The other pool bar in middle of resort tends to be more relaxing. Also be aware only building 7 has elevators. Top floors in other buildings are four stories high....Lots of [... read more]
Riu Ocho Rios: Excellent
Been to this resort before n loved it. .....this was my 2nd time there n loved it even more. .the food was amazing. ..the staff was nice. ...entertainment was good. ...the crowd was lively and friendly. The rooms are good but I do agree on updating a few things like the metal keys are old school for the door and the safe. ...combination locks are better. ..and cards for the door instead of metal keys. There was a slight smell in the rooms but it was tolerable. Other than those little things [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Food
Food was amazing. Grounds well kept. Beach is great. Rooms and staff need work. Staff wasn't friendly. Bartenders wouldn't serve drinks until u tipped them first. The hotel lobby and bars need to be upgraded.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Beautiful
Lovely beach, fabulous food and friendly staff. Will go back again. Had a great trip. Great performance. Dinner on the beach, excellent food and great memories so many positive we love it and day trip
Riu Guanacaste: Need more daily activities
Overall the resort was ok. Food was ok, good variety. Rooms were good and the resort was clean. Disappointed in the lack of daily activities especially for children. There is a small children's area, but was geared towards very young children and does not allow parents in. Considering there is a long rainy season, there needs to be more activities indoor and out. This is a good resort for adults, but not ideal for those travelling with children. Had an incident with a staff member assaulting a f [... read more]
Palace St. Martin: Beautiful resort
A resort that offers everything for a family, couples, group gatherings, etc. Staff in this resort are the best in service...very attentive to your needs. This resort is situated in a bay that the sea water is calm.
Riu Santa Fe: Absolutely amazing!!
We went here for our honeymoon in may 2016 and had an amazing wonderful relaxing time! From the moment we left from Vancouver Canada our flight was great, the shuttle service from the airport in Los cabos was really easy and clear to find, our check in was very smooth and straight forward and our room was lovely, clean and air conditioned. The beds were firm and comfy. The staff here is so wonderful! I was so impressed with their hard work and professionalism. The drinks were great, and the food [... read more]
Riu Ocho Rios: Friendly staff and clean resort!
We spent 1 week at Riu ocho rios in may. I travelled with 2 kids (including a baby) and my teenage son. We all had a great time. The room was very clean as was the resort as a whole. The staff all work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. We did not book any of the restaurants, we were actually very pleased with the food selection in the buffet and opted to eat all of our meals there. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, whether travelling as a couple or as a family.
Riu Playa Blanca: A very relaxing place
The rooms were very clean and of modern design. The food was very good at all the restaurants. The staff were very friendly! I enjoyed the cultural mix of people from North, Central and South America..The snorkelling is much better on the carribean side.
