Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing resort!

This resort was amazing. From the moment we entered the building we felt welcomed and relaxed. We received an upgrade to the grand when we arrived, we were so grateful, this was our first Caribbean trip, it was more than we expected. The rooms were nice, the bed was comfortable , and every time we left it was cleaned. The staff was cheerful, and always ready to help. The pools were beautiful, and well maintained. The star friends show was great we especially enjoyed the boogie nights- very talented and fun to watch. Overall we had an amazing time, we stayed 4 nights, and wish we could go back!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Just ok

Disclaimer: it rained everyday for a week so it definitely put a damper on a beach holiday. The hotel is dated and very rough around the edges. The resort is small so there isn't much to do. They do have Cuban music most nights which was great. The shows were decent and the same calibre of other resorts I've been to. Food is ok, as usual the a la carte restaurants are better than the buffet. The best part of the resort is the people who work there! The lobby bar ladies are fantastic, Ady and Y [... read more]asmile (spelling?), the theatre bar lady, lobby bar waitress, and our friends Ernesto and Ernesto. It was always a pleasure to visit the snack restaurant late at night!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Decent friendly place

Pros: Lovely beach (for Cozumel) with lots of shade options - extremely friendly and helpful staff - attractive grounds with lots of trees Cons: Terrible mildew/musty smell in rooms that comes home on your clothes (OK, it's 90% humidity down there, so dryness is a challenge) - A/C in room is deafening - Some rooms/public spaces flooded (during heavy rainfall) - Food is beautifully presented but not necessarily delicious - Isolated location if you want to go anywhere (240 peso taxi ride to town)

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: This hotel was a great disappointment.

Grounds were clean, as were pools. Public restrooms (ladies anyway) - many of them did NOT have toilet seats, door handles or locks (and often no toilet paper). We heard they are waiting for 80!!!!!!. Maintenance is sadly lacking in this facility. Lots of talking among staff when at work and work done in a very disorganized manner. Consider: bringing coffee to us and no cups with same and NO CUPS TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE, as well as tables not set properly, ie. tableware missing,no napkins; we were  [... read more]told guests had taken cups to their suites, but the resort was only half-full at this point!!! Also food in buffet was 'hit or miss' - cold, none left, no refills, no labels on what we're eating. Our safe (wouldn't open/close) and closet doors did not work: same with balcony doors. We looked at other suites..... same situation, so we stayed and WAITED in for 'safe repair guy'. Improper maintenance was noted in many places by us. People were complaining everywhere and generally very unhappy. Sloppy cleaning in suites also, as we noted floors not swept and we had to chase down towels/paper for bathroom. This should not happen AT ALL. A LA CARTE's saved us and they were fair - lots of effort put in there, funny enough, but no way 5Star! Funny, entertainment was quite good and we attended every night. Bar staff overworked in main lobby and coffee bar, but what else is new!!! Gardens were fine, as were pools. You need to properly maintain a resort like this if you want people to return.......... and we think we may NOT return ever!!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Set your expectations appropiately

I generally don't write alot of reviews but I was a little disappointed with Iberostar Ensenachos. I have been to Santa Maria once before to a 4* resort and really enjoyed it, so I decided to pay extra to experience "5*". In a nutshell, there was no real value in that extra money spent for this hotel. The main differences between this and a 4* are it was isolated, quite, and the Ensenanchos beach was absolutely beautiful. That is pretty much where it ends. The hotel room was an average room. T [... read more]hat being said, we had a large cockroach in our room the second night. We didnt want to over react, but then we saw a bunch of ants on one of the night tables. We moved to another room, we saw another small cockroach there. Front desk did not really feel like they needed to apologize or what not. I understand this is Cuba, but this is my 4th time there, and it was a little disappointing to experience this at a so called 5*. Food was quite good for Cuba standards, but it more or less was equivalent to other 4* resorts in Santa Maria. Contrary to some reviews, there was no Heinz Ketchup, and the biggest disappointment was I never had lobster at the Buffet restaurant. Generally the beef is very tough, chicken has a slightly different texture, but Seafood is a safe bet. I don't eat Porc so can't comment on that. I love Cuba, and the Cuban culture, but value for the dollar is not there for this resort. It is disappointing to pay a significant amount of money more than other resorts and not experience a "special" vacation.

We had a great time , all staff were so nice and helpful . The rooms were very nice.liked the way everyone made us feel. We were at home their.We will be back some day.Thank you.It was nice to have pillow options. Made our sleeps complete.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: beautiful resort

the desk service was terrible they lied to me many times about the room service not being done till i got mad things needed to be fixed but were not dun till i lost it the biggest thing was the air conditioning never worked

Hotel Mojito: Good Resort

Short transfer from the airport. Reasonably quick check inn. Very friendly staff all around. Nice beach. Pretty good food at buffet and snack bar. A La carts, service was great , food was ok. Overall decent resort.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Elegant Resort....some areas lacking.

We stayed at the Grand from January 13 to 23, 2016 . Resort was beautiful but all areas relating to meals and food was sadly lacking. Gluten free options were pitiful and any mention of food allergies were not well received. Reservations for the restaurants were also badly managed. We were told there were no reservations left yet restaurants were half empty? Service was slow as they seemed short staffed. We did enjoy all other aspects of the resort.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Wonderful place!

Lobby, dining and beach are very good. Kids and teen area amazing. Very clean place. Staff very helpful. Entertainment know their business, show are interesting. Animals are friendly, very good impression

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Beautiful resort and beach.

The beach at this resort is phenomenal, beautiful water and soft sand everywhere, also plenty of room to lay in the sun without being crowded. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly! The only small complaint was the food wasn't the best, and the a la carts were a little underwhelming. That being said the food was most certainly very edible and plentiful.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great vacation!

We had a great time first week of Jan 2016. Good food, great entertaining / shows, very nice and dedicated employees at the Kids Club. The only thing that makes me hesitate about this resort is the room. It was very clean, but personally I found it was smelling (because of humidity)

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: good resort

Hotel and grounds 5, buffet restaurant selection 5, quality 4, service 3, fruits unripe at 50% of the time. Female severs, no women no smile. A la carte restaurant service 5, quality 4. Beach area crowded not enough shade, or beach chairs, water bit murky 2, "beach center" 2 old broken, and ripped windsurfers and 3 catamarans with ripped sails I would give it a 1. Entertainment 2. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, but not for this price.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good holilday - unplanned hotel renovations

We love this resort but were disappointed that they started renovations while we were there. The lobby café/bar shut down for renovations for 5/7 days of our vacation, leaving a tiny cigar shop as the main place for specialty coffee drinks. Hot water was off - totally for the first 2 days, but we had warm water for the remainder of the week. The staff at the resort worked around the renovations as well as could be expected. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Very good

Rooms a little small but you are not in them that long remember the C on the tap is not cold it is hot. The food was great fresh and lots of variaty. The grounds were very clean. I only wish that you could just walk out and swim. The entertainment was terrific every night all in all a nice place to stay thank you staff.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: lower then other iberostar grand

compare to grand paradisus at mayan riviera where stayed three times before there is a big difference. not as clean not as friendly and the facilities are better at paradisus. beside we expected a better room as returning guest I don't think we are going back to rose hall.for us the cleanliness of the utencils plates and glasses in the buffet restorant was a big negative!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very nice resort !

beautiful beaches, very nice pool for kids, friendly stuff, room clean and little fridge filled with drinks every day ( cola, Fanta, Sprite, beer and water) great resort for families with small kids..

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly resort!

Small resort, but very friendly. Good food, lots of entertainment, and the weather was amazing! Beach is one of the nicest around. Clean, shallow, good for families. Lots of sun beds, pool very clean. Amazing staff!!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Best vacation ever!

My first thought upon seeing the grounds, my room, the beach and the restaurants was that even the "professional photos" didn't do the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall justice. It was even more beautiful in person than in the photos, and to me that is very refreshing, not to mention amazing. I felt pampered for my entire stay, the staff was incredible and very eager to make your vacation perfect. The food, whether it be the buffets or the restaurants, exceeded my expectations, every meal was incredible and the variety was outstanding, as was the staff at each restaurant. The entertainment and activities were enjoyable and the Star Cast who provided it had a tremendous amount of energy and were very talented individuals who never failed in their attempts to amuse and make the vacation unforgettable. Special thanks to Thunder and Bubbles who provided so much great entertainment. The waitresses around the pool and beach were awesome and never let your glass get empty! Special thanks to Jodian who took great care of me in this respect, it was a pleasure to see her everyday and have a quick chat. The Iberostar Grand made you feel like "part of the family". I hope to return again sometime.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Lovely resort

The service, food and entertainment were excellent. The rooms were'nt as good as they could have been. Such inconveniences as leaking sinks and showers that flooded the bathroom. 2door jeeps are very difficult for seniors to get in and out of.
