Riu Palace Paradise Island: Perfect Vacation
This really was a perfect vacation. The hotel was very clean the rooms were a good size. I'm usually not a fan of buffets but I have no complaints...the food was always plentiful and never looked picked over. The restaurants were amazing a good amount of menu choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful.
Riu Palace Mexico: average
changed room because of view but the other room did not provide a view we had expected either. We were not aware of an extra charge for a room with a view. Other than that the resort was beautiful but not enough entertainment.
Sol Turquesa Beach: Amazing resort
It is a wonderful place!! The people there were not just nice but very educated and helpful. The buildings are kept very nice. The nature there is magnificent, the beach is breathtaking beautiful, water so clean that you enjoy every swim...
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort! Would definitely return
The staff were all so friendly, the food was great and the beach was beautiful. The only disappointing part was all the locals that approached you on the beach; however. if you went farther down the beach you could find some space.
Sol Turquesa Beach: A Resort with a Unique Personality
This Resort is Special. Of course the staff are very nice and helpful with what ever question or need we have, but the design and 5 pools that connect with water cascading and falling into each one is lovely. The buffet is not as big as other resorts but the food is good and we were always satisfied. The entertainment was very good, they work hard and deserve commendation. The reserved restaurants were very enjoyable and served really good food. It's easy to make friends there bec [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Good resort
Great... food and restaurants needs some work as well as the bars. The service was great. Too short time. The location of the hotels wonderful. We enjoyed the servuces and people. The pool and bars closed too early...minutes to 6.00pm
Riu Palace Bavaro: Fantastic Resort!
Had a great vacation at the RIU Palace Bavaro! The food was amazing, the resort was very clean and the rooms were modern and big. We travelled with 3 teenage children and they also had a great time. We will return to this hotel.
Riu Santa Fe: Great resort for adults from 20s-30s
Overall the RIU Santa Fe was a fun, upbeat hotel with a lot of people that wanted to have a good time. In terms of the food, it was mediocre (all inclusives all get redundant after the 3rd or 4th day). The pool bars were great with people always around them. With the high demand, it was hard to get service sometimes, but understandable with the amount of people. The rooms were good, spacious enough with the fridge restocked daily and complimentary alcohol in the room. I would NOT recommend thi [... read more]
Palace St. Martin: Pretty and Quaint Resort
Very nice grounds, amazing drinks made from fresh fruit, great martinis. Beds comfortable with nice linens. Carpet in room and in hallways needs upgrading. Service in a la carte restaurants slow and with two mass seatings per night, very impersonal. Buffet was reliable and good variety. Beautiful beach in a private bay. Very nice and friendly staff. Remote location and expensive to taxi anywhere. Access to ocean tours great with marina outside the front door.
Riu Naiboa: Too Laid Back Resort
It was a nice resort but not enough to do there and the excitement wasn't there . Bingo was boring every night, needed something else to keep our interest til the shows started. The shows started way too late by time it came we were ready to leave. The food was ok but still ended up sick , with fever and diarrhea. Three out four got sick. Not Happy.
Riu Vallarta: Amazing Resort
The staff were always helpful and attentive. The grounds were always clean and well maintained. Front desk staffs always made sure that they follow up on any of my request. I am impressed by the hotel staffs' prompt services. The pool bar staffs are amazing and very hard working. I'm sending my personal thank you specifically to the pool bar staff name Pedro. You should see how hard this man work and always have a smile on his face no matter how chaotic the pool bar can get :) Overall Riu Valla [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Best resort for the money
We paid $1000.00 and for the money it was excellent. Very clean, nicely landscaped, rooms where nice, food was resort quality. Best part was going into small town of Bucarias. $10.00 cap ride, restaurants on the beach, sports bars, lots going on.
Riu Playa Blanca: Great Holiday! Just what the doctor ordered!
Had a great week with family at the Riu Playa Blanca. Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. Everything was very clean. Entertainment crew was energetic and terrific. Sunwing reps were always there to assist and were very helpful. Great, memorable holiday all round!!
Riu Vallarta: Well worth going
Completely impressed with the staff and the buffet meals, bar staff friendly and courteous. Very clean, very organized and well run. Only disappointment was the restaurants, steakhouse and Asian. Better off going to the buffet which was completely surprising since all other aspects of the hotel were of such better quality. I would not hesitate to go back.
Riu Negril: Beautiful resort
Resort looks bigger on the picture, however it is beautiful. The rooms are extremely clean, with foyer like entrance giving you lots of space... You are only able to book a la carte only 2 days at a time, so you can't book your entire week. Lots of chairs available at pools and beach. No need to get up early and place towels... Beautiful beach......
Riu Tequila: Excellent food, beach and service
Rooms and grounds are clean. Friendly staff. EXCELLENT food. Beautiful beach half hour walk to Playa Del Carmen. Not a resort for non smokers, beach, lobby, balcony, grounds Lots of fume emission from motorize sport at beach.
Riu Santa Fe: Very nice, resort.
Hotel and grounds very clean, Great food, and wonderful friendly staff. Younger crowd, but it gave our slightly older crowd some good entertainment. Second floor is better, less noise. The seafood at the restaurants was a nice treat.
Riu Playa Blanca: Warning to Smokers and Women
Be warned fellow travelers, your privacy will be lacking. Within 10 minutes of our stay at this resort a male staff just walked right into our room with his keycard - NO KNOCKING. As two single women being in a foreign country my friend and I felt that our safety in this establishment had been inappropriately compromised. We had to double lock our doors every time we were in there in fear of someone else coming in. We also caught another lady (not the maid, but staff) coming out of our room whe [... read more]
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: RIU Fabulous
The Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was fabulous. Beyond excellent staff, so clean, variety of foods, entertainment, never a boring moment. Sit at the quiet pool on a slow day and then the action pool when you are ready to party. Such a variety of drinks to enjoy at the poolbar or just sitting around. The Camel ride excursion was fun not to mention the Tequila tasting during our authentic Mexican lunch. Great staff there. Be prepared to pay large for pictures on the camel though. Sunquest took great c [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing beach
