Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Resort was top notch

Staff were fantastic. Food was amazing. Kids had so much to do all day. Drinks were definitely not watered down!!! Our butler’s were top notch. Fridge was stocked each day. Due to sargassum the beach we didn’t use, but the pools and lazy rivers made up for it. Kids loved the water slides, bowling, trampoline. Vibe team had games going for kids and adults.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Fantastic resort

The resort was beautiful.We really enjoyed our stay.The food was fantastic .The grounds were beautiful,and the staff were very friendly.The monkeys were so fun to watch.Would definitely recommend this resort

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great experience

We were returning visitors and the resort did not disappoint. People are very nice as usual. Thing to improve: the quality of the beer However food quality and choices more than compensate for the less than stellar beer. The seaweed was atrocious, I wish they had a mechanized way of cleaning the beaches rather than manual labour. Another issue I have is with how prohibitively expensive are the stores on site. No big deal, I just voted with my wallet, but if prices would be more affordabl [... read more]e I would have probably spent some money.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Oddly inconsistent experience. Disappointing.

We checked in on a Friday night. We were escorted to smaller unkept check-in which smelled like sewage. We were offered drinks and I requested my usual but they only had cans of pop which I'm not used to at a 5 star resort. We were given verbal instructions on how to get to our room. The hallways were very dark and an elevator was out of service so we got lost and had to come back again to the main lobby - again used to being escorted to our rooms at most five-star resorts. On the walk to our ro [... read more]om there were beer bottles scattered on the floor which was not pleasant to see. We went to the Blue agave that same night and our server was so rude. I asked for a virgin margarita and he said "so just lime juice?" He cut me off when ordering too. The service did improve throughout the rest of the days but be forewarned, if you checkin at night you will be very disappointed as a first impression which is not a great way to start off an experience. The room service food is very inconsistent, when it was fresh the ceviche and steak tacos and rigatoni were delicious. if you go with kids, half of your restaurant choices are gone as they are adult only. You only get 3-4 choices so during a week long stay, it will get very repetitive. We got food poisoning from the hibachi place. The shrimp aguachile at the Mexican restaurant was raw (grey). The buffets have no fresh food station like pasta or omelet. They have no toys or rental equipment for you to use if you have children so you will have to bring your own. All in all of you have gone to other 5 star resorts you will feel so disappointed here. We did enjoy breakfast at The Lunchbox, Victor and Carmen were amazing. Carla at the kidsdom was so sweet. Manuel at the aqua park was a machine. Such hardworking staff overall. Everything switched up on Monday when more guests started checking in and managers came on site. Our room service did a pretty great job cleaning the room, organized things in the room wrapped up chargers which was a really nice touch.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Okay

The rooms were beautiful, i think having an oceanview really made the package, the AC in the room was a little off though and it wasnt super cold in the room all the time which is usually what you want. the buffet food was okay for breakfast and lunch, having all the little extra snackbars around the resort is really nice and we absolutely loved the french restaurant that was on the resort and the waiter Erik. He had us for 3 days straight. We also had the power go out for 5 hours there and they [... read more] had no idea when we’d get it back. Id say its very kid oriented which wasnt the worst at all.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Didn't disappoint!!

This was our first trip to Mexico and we were very impressed with the resort. Although it's big and there is a lot of walking we didn't mind because there was always wild life to see. The staff was friendly and helpful. Warren ended up having a medical problem and the security staff stayed with us until the medic had transported us to the clinic on the resort. Unfortunately Warren had to go the hospital for over night. We didn't use the beach because of the seaweed/smell was strong. The choice of pools were great. The food was awesome, buffet had lots of choices. we were allowed 4 A la Carte's, Steak House, Italian, Brazilian and Japanese. They were all delicious. My only complaint was the Spa. The service we had was awesome but the price we had agreed upon changed 3 times. ended up being $50 more then the agreed upon price. It is definitely a resort we will visit again.

Hotel and grounds were excellent. Employees always greeting you. Food was always good both buffet and a al carte. The spa was overpriced as well the prices differed between the spa and the front desk. Would go there again but not use the spa.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: We keep going back as this is an amazing resort for the price!

Everything was perfect. The room, the services, the staff with a very special "thank you" to Sebastian and Antonio at the Los Corales Steakhouse. We've travel quite frequently and these 2 servers were absolutely amazing. We have already booked for November and can't wait!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful Resort

The Grand Tulum was a beautiful resort. You are limited on where you can eat. You get 3 a la carte meals per week at one of 8-10 restaurants. But all of your other meals are eaten at the beach Truck (tacos, quesadillas, burgers, fries, etc) or the buffet. Gets a little repetitive over the course of a week. The best part about eating at the buffet was one of the servers, EDWIN! He was the funnest, warmest, most loveable humans. By far the highlight of our stay there! THANK YOU EDWIN!!!!

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Very impressed!

I give a 5 star rating because even when there was a problem, it was fixed within 10 min if you call the quality control rep number they give at checkin. Room: They are eager to please. Had issues with our rm at first, called the rep she haf 6 different staff in fixing it and finished within 30 minutes of our arrival. They upgraded our rm prior to arrival without us asking. Beautiful ocean view and kitchenette. Food: The buffet was the best ive ever had at a resort. So much to choose [... read more] from. An entire section for kids (adults too if preferred) thst had food like hot dogs. So much food everywhere all the time. Snack bars were delicious with nachose, hot dogs, and really really goof fish tacos. My favorite was the coffee shop. Just like starbucks but you dont pay. And the best baking! The steak restsurant... all the other food for the 3 course meal was good but didnt like the meat. We preferredthe buffet. We felt very safe eating there. No sickness for either of us st any point. Pools: we loved the adult pool with the swim up bar that looked over the ocean. Other pools filled with families, tons of seats everwhere. Difficulty is finding shade, not seats. We cant wait until we go back! No covid rules in place. Staff: Amazing!

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Such a great place to go

The hotel was AWESOME. Great staff such nice people. Food was so good with a good verity. Beach had its time when the seaweed was bad you can’t help that great beach otherwise. Soooo many places to take great pictures also. Our room was nice also , this resort is very clean they are always cleaning. The gym was the worst part but not everyone like the gym. Neon night was so much fun. Great place I would recommend this place for sure.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Beautiful Resort

Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful resort. We were not informed about the personal concierge, when we did find out the one assigned to us wasn’t there so we never met her, ended up learning and finding everything on our own with some difficulties in some areas of the resort. The upsell of packages (food, spa etc) was a bit much. Shuttle to airport over 2 hrs due to going off route to pick up people, making that resort location not favourable to travel too and from with that type of tra [... read more]vel/shuttle itinerary (understand that is more of the airline Sunwing issue).

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Spring vacation

I was pleasantly surprised choosing this resort. The grounds are spacious with 5 pools plus plenty of room at the beach. You could easily get a lounge chair. The surface around the pools were pressure washed nightly and the washrooms were very clean. The food was good at the buffet and the restaurants were very good. We dined at 3 restaurants and ate most meals at the buffet. I liked having the option to get a drink in the evenings overlooking the ocean at 3 different bars. They had live bands [... read more] playing quite a few evenings near the lobby. The staff were always cheerful and very respectful. We stayed for 2 weeks. It was nice to walk into Bucerias market. We walked 3 times and rode the bikes once. The Royal Decameron is very well organized and clean. I look forward to returning again!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Wonderful stay at Del Mar!

We loved our stay at this resort. It was our first time to Mexico and it did not disappoint. Staff were outstanding, food was delicious, rooms clean, lots of games and fun at the pool. Great excursion with Cancun Adventures to Tulum ruins & Cenote caves. Only complaint would be the beach. Water was rough and there was a ton of seaweed. They worked to clear it but it was everywhere on the beach and in the water. If you love the beach would not suggest Mayan Riviera during Jan-June (as per locals) [... read more]. Otherwise, overall it was a fantastic resort with lots to do, eat, drink & play!

Occidental Tucancun: Budget Resort

The resort is very clean and most of the staff were very helpful specially Eric from the Mexico Lindo restaurant. We didn’t swim in the beach as it was full of seaweeds and the waves are big. The food in the buffet were always the same almost everyday. The seafood restaurant was good. The entertainment was good as well. The lobby were always packed and busy. Need to add bar tender. The hotel has a good location very close to the mall and bus stop.

Riu Santa Fe: Haven’t been since 2016 and it’s even better now

Amazing resort for the value, this is my 4th time going and to a nice surprise my room was fully renovated, there are more restaurants to choose from, the resort is still so clean, staff still friendly as ever, absolutely no complaints, if you are an ocean swimmer the waves are a little intense but a walk down the beach and there are calm spots. And the new riu party pool/club is amazing

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Not what it used to be

No buffet on the resort sucked.ate at coba or tulum because the buffet that was replacing akumal was so small and no varity room was very small for a family of 4 barely any entertainment. Tulum resort was pumping. So we paid alot of money to stay at akumal but was at Tulum pretty much our entire trip.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Clean massive resort!

This is a massive 5 star resort with lots of amenities. Best part was the free Hydro-therapy at the spa. However, the sheer size actually works agains the resort. It takes a while to figure out how to get from one place to other. They have a shuttle between multiple resorts, but they probably needed some golf carts for travel. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Serene Vacation

We were hesitant to stay at the Sian Ka'an as it is not directy on the beach however that was not an issue due to the availability of shuttles to get us to a private beach area on demand. We loved the quietness of the resort and the beautiful jungle surroundings.The food was wonderful everywhere. We were caught off gaurd a bit by the restriction on ordering more than one appetizer, or entree at the a la cartes etc. We've never encountered this before. They could have more shuttles at dinnertime to accomodate guests needing to get to a reservation.The entertainment was wonderful but they could use more space for guests to sit and enjoy. A few days the leaf blowers were going for 2 hours straight. I realize they want to keep grounds clean but it was a bit much so early in the mornings while people were trying to relax poolside. Drinks are just ok. Pressure to buy wine as all resorts lately and drinks mixed for mass production unless you specify. Despite these few areas of imerovement, we loved it and would definitly go back as we realize nothing is perfect. They do not actively enforce the no smoking rule and they should. I know its hard but people clearly disregarded rules but no one said anything.Overall had a wonderful vacation. YOu will never get bored as there is access to so many resort pools and restaurants.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: very nice

Everything was very well kept and clean the grounds staff were always keeping everything trimmed and looking good. Pools were very nice and the daily entertainment was great in the pool areas and elsewhere.
