Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Lovely resort

Overall, I thought this hotel was such great value for the cost. The checkin was quick and very friendly, we were upgraded, I presume, based on some hotel vacancy. Our room was so spacious, open and airy, had all the room amenities and comforts, better than I expected. We also had a good view of the ocean and resort grounds. The resort had much foliage even after the hurricane, you didn’t see any damage or much loss. The food was better than expected, it was a bit repetitive and limited but at least we had the a la carte dinner options. We had many delicious drinks and cocktails options including prosecco, Spanish coffee was delicious! The main highlights of the resort were friendly service and positive, welcoming attitude of the Cubans/staff, nicest people! And the other highlight was the entertainment; the horror and pool shows were amazing-5star entertainment!! I would return and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

Everything was great except for the fact that the swim bar was not opened...that is very important when I book.The grounds were amazing even after Irma.The people are awesome.There were a lot of people that kept asking about the swim bar.The provider of the package should put on website before booking that the swim bar was not opened.It was an amazing holiday nonetheless.

Melia Costa Rey: Great resort

Amazing beach. Good food at buffay and comfortable rooms. Service is also good. Restaurants are OK. Emtertainment very professional. Registration quick and easy. Great view of beach from lobby. Plan to return again.

Hotel Vigia: Sol Cayo Guillermo

Very welcoming and friendly, smiling staff and atmosphere. Staff cannot do enough for you, they are all very accommodating. Clean resort , all areas, lobby, shops, bars, restaurants, public washrooms and guest rooms. Although grounds and surrounding area are still being restored from the devastation of the hurricane it still looks beautiful. Everyday workers are on the job from dawn to dusk and after. Tryp Cayo Coco: Great place to be at!

I have travelled everywhere and finally settled to Tryp Cayo Coco many years ago. Now a repeat customer, going twice a year, I can say that this is the best Cuban resort of the Island (in my opinion). Staff is like family, beach is gorgeous and food never disappoints. I was there this December, of course they are still working hard to rebuild from the hurricane damages but they are progressing well. Melia Cayo Coco: Total Peace

We stayed at Melia Cayo Coco December 6-13. There was absolutely nothing that wasn't great. The flight, the staff, the rooms, the meals and the activities were all very good. The beach is the best in Cuba. The crowd is quiet and mature and it resulted in a very peaceful holiday which was exactly what we were looking for. We did walk end to end from beyond Pullman to Blau Colonial on the other end, and there is no resort that has recovered as quickly from Hurricane Irma as Melia Cayo Coco. Amazing effort put into reconstruction. Do not hesitate to book a holiday to this resort!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Very good resort

I was previously at the resort in May of 2017 and just recently returned in early December after opening a month previous after the hurricane. Much was done and in great shape. They have done a lot since then and pretty much everything was back in shape other than the grounds which were very close to normal and gardeners were working hard to get the grounds back to normal. The service was very good, food was good the resort was clean, and the entertainment was fun and good.

Melia Costa Rey: My first time in Cuba and I don't think I could have made a better choice!

I spent an amazing week with my boyfriend early Dec. and I am so glad we picked Pullman. As usual, I read tons of reviews here and there and do my best to choose the hotel that better fits our needs. I was told Cuba does not offer good food in resorts so my expectations were low. I have to say that the food was overall pretty good. I did not get as many greens and fresh fruits asI am used to, but honestly I was really happy with the variety of dishes. The only complaint I have with regards to th [... read more]is topic is that in general, the food is warm and even sometimes too cold for my taste. So if you want to get hot meals, just head to the various on demand stations. One of our highlights, beside what everyone agrees on which is the excellence of the service is the live music. You are constantly surprised by musicians, singers, bands, etc. everywhere and several times a day. The live entertainment is without a doubt outstanding! The lobby and its bar is a great place to hang out specially before heading to dinner. The resort has several pools which by the way is not something that a lot of hotels in Cayo Coco offer. I could do laps in the larger pool without being bothered anytime in the day but maybe this is due to the fact that the resort was not fully packed. The beach is fantastic but watch out for the seashells. There are a lot so watch your step or bring your water shoes. Our room was great and upon my request, we were able to get a one bed room instead of 2 double beds. There is a fridge in the room with beers, soft drinks and a big bottle of water. They make sure to refill the fridge everyday which is very nice. Check out is at noon and since our pick up at the hotel was at 5, we paid an additional 50 Cuban pesos so it is basically 10 extra pesos per hour. If you don't want to pay, they can store your luggage and they offer a complimentary room to shower, etc. but for all the guests that are leaving at a specific time. Know that the pool bathrooms have a shower so that is another option I guess… If your flight arrives at Cayo Coco after 8 PM, know that the restaurant closes at 10 PM so you'll have to head at the 24 hours food counter. There are no sweets and they offer pizzas, fries (frozen), and sandwiches. Pretty basic stuff, not too tasty but it does the trick. We hesitated a lot before booking because we weren't sure the hotel was fully functional after Irma hurricane. This was our first time at Pullman so I have no way to compare it to what it was before… I can say though that despite some landscaping work still to be done, everything looked great. We took the little train to the shopping market nearby and it stopped at various resorts on its way. We were able to take a quick look at other facilities and again, we were very proud of our choice. The other hotels looked as if there was still a lot to do and a guest from the closest 5 stars hotel mentioned to us that only 1 of the 5 a la carte restaurant was open. Pullman had their 3 a la carte restaurants up and running! By the way, the little market is not really worth a visit unless you just want to get out of the resort for 1 hour. It is only 3 pesos per person roundtrip. There is Wifi at the lobby and you have to buy a card that lasts 1 hour and costs 1.50 pesos. You don't need to use it all at once. There is no doubt in our mind that the manager of Pullman (he is extremely present at the resort… you see him at least once a day talking to guests and his staff) and his team work really hard in making your stay as pleasant as possible. Great experience!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great Resort !

The staff were very eager to please . They provided a top class service and accommodated us with extras for a pleasant stay , special thanks to Geanny for his attention and gratitude! We did not get the room we were supposed to get ( Junior Suite ) but the staff did so much for us , we did not bother asking for the change , we kept the standard room . We will return for sure !

Melia Costa Rey: Great Value!

This new hotel was amazing right from the moment we stepped inside. The staff were all very accommodating and made sure we were happy throughout our week stay. The rooms were clean, towels and linens were fresh daily. The restaurant selection was very good and the food was decent. The beach is beautiful as well as the area around the pools. We will be booking another vacation there next year! We highly recommend it.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Love it!!

This was my 6th time to this beautiful resort. Even after the hurricane, the staff are still amazing and spirits are high! They have worked so hard to get the resort back in shape to receive guests, and should be back in full use in the next week or so. The gardeners are busy planting to replace the lost vegetation. Food is good, can always find something to eat! The people and their joy makes this the place I want to return to again and again!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort

Trip was Nov28-Dec5/17. The resort has done a lot to clean-up given it is only into its 2nd week of re-opening. Not all bldgs were opened at this time. We were in bldg 4, air con worked great but room definitely needed painting, new curtains, etc. Our room had not been upgraded. Be mindful if you have mobility issues that the tub is very high which makes it difficult to get in or out. Resort itself was clean and staff AMAZING! This Resort had the most palapas I have ever seen, you never had to sit directly in sun if you did not wish to. What makes this Resort are the Staff.......they want to do anything they can to keep you happy. Money exchange was HIGH, from CND to Peso's you were paying 42 cents on the dollar YIKES The staff cannot exchange loonies/twoonies or American Currency yet everyone keeps giving them out for tips and then they need to find guests who will exchange for them. The exchange rate was troublesome as we enjoy tipping but had to cut back due to the high rate of exchange. It changes from day to day but never better than the 42. We did bring gifts, baby clothes etc. and staff were grateful to receive. The food was good although slightly repetitive. We would return to this resort, the beach is long and very wide, you won't be disappointed and the pool is huge. No it is not heated, given the heat the coolness is welcomed. We had Diamond Club which gave us specialty liquor which is located in the main bar area, a wonderful special dinner in the Italian Restaurant, lobster/steak, soup, dessert, preparation superb and on the beach there is a special section just for DC. This came with our package when we booked, nice to have but not sure I would have pay for it as an extra as you get great service regardless. We will return again to Memories Flamenco. Customer Service was always quick to come to your aid to help out no matter what problem you are experiencing.

Arrived at the resort around 12:00 pm the room was not ready yet so reception helped us out the luggages in the safe room. The room will ready around 3pm. Reception is very accommodating gave me floor plan buffet restaurant will be open at 1 pm. Went around to see the grounds you can still see the damages from the hurricane. We are able to get to the room around 4 pm. Omg when we are changing I got beaten by sand fleas waiting at reception. Saturday Sunday it rained our room is on the 3rd f [... read more]loor room phone not working. We had a leak from too much rain in the closet. We took 1 trash can to for the water leak and Housekeeping gave us towels just in case it gets worse then we can change rooms. The 24 hour snack bar is flooded and was only working Wednesday everyone had to go to the buffet restaurant. We had an umbrella decided to walk in the beach area. Lots of kite boarding really nice to watch. Weather got better on Monday we are able to relax by the beach. Food at the resort breakfast is the best. Night shows was great but had to wear leggings and long sleeve to prevent sand flea bites. It is my first time to Cayo Coco love the beach you can walk 3 km and the water is knee dip. I would come back but would like to check out Cayo Largo or Santiago next time.

The staff and entertainment were amazing. I could not have been treated better or had more fun. For the price this resort goes far and above your dollar value . I will be back for sure! Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful, relaxing time

I was travelling with 2 friends who had been before, this was my first visit to Memories Flamenco Beach. First of all your staff is AMAZING!! With all that has happened with the weather in Cuba, you have pulled together a wonderful resort experience. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful Time!

This was my 3rd time to this resort! I wasn't disappointed at all. They have worked very hard to restore the resort after Hurricane Irma. Things look better than ever. My 2 girlfriends and I had a wonderful time and would return in a heartbeat! The Cubans were as friendly as ever.....love them!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey

Hotel was half open as fixing still happening to part of the resort. All was excellent with all other services, pool, beach palapas are more abundant than before the storm. Beach is now twice as wide somehow than before so it is improved remarkably. Food was quite good for Cuba and service at lobby bar was incredible, best I have seen in 12 visits to Cuba. Went with friends and dying to go back with sons in 3 to 4 weeks to same resort.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Utterly amazing

Best hotel I've ever stayed at in Cuba.. rooms, food, entertainment all the staff and the shows! The pool, the swim up bar .. ocean.. beautiful. We will be looking go back, but with our entire family! Very soon I hope!

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was amazing!! There were still some things not done due to Hurricane Irma but all in all they are well on their way. We had a few issues with our room at first but everything was looked after.

This hotel is newly renovated after hurricane. New furniture beds mattresses and everything white. Grounds are beautiful. They keep adding new palm trees. Buffet has a lot of variety foods. Japanese is very tasteful and Italian has the best pizza and spaghetti. Pools are clean. People are nice. The most beautiful thing is the beach
