Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent Resort
Best resort we have been to. Pros: Enjoyed the adults only infinity pool with pool side service. Buffet had lots of options and good service. Good transportation to get around the resort and adjoining resorts. Excellent liquor selection and lots of tequila!! Evening entertainment was good. Sectioned off area of the ocean was good for a daily swim - keep it calm and clean. Cons: Room smelled musty, uncomfortable bed.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Top notch resort!
The place was quite amazing, the best vacation spot that I have ever visited. Everything was done top notch and the service was very amazing. All the staff seemed to love their job and really seemed genuine. It was a huge resort but didn’t seem to be large. The a la Carte restaurants were excellent and the buffets were no exception. I have to go back again and visit this same resort.
Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Awesome.
The staff in the hotel were so friendly and always went above and beyond. You automatically felt like you were old friends. The hotel grounds are clean and beautifully maintained. Rooms were comfortable, well decorated and always clean. We enjoyed having the opportunity to go to several alacarte restaurants which were beautiful and the food was outstanding. The variety of food in each of them as well as in the buffets was served hot and was very pleasing to the eye. The hotel was small eno [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great.
Great spot, all inclusive. No children screaming. All the staff are real friendly and helpful. Most of the staff can at least understand English and if they can't, they will get someone who can. 24h room service is great as well.
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Fantastic time
Resort is big but luckily there are trollies to get you around. Beautifully kept grounds lots of palm trees and flowers and wild life around. Great workers very friendly. Beach is beautiful we set up camp there everyday. Nice long walks on the beach lots of sea shells to find and coral
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fabulous stay ...again!
My husband and I just returned from 7 days in paradise. It hurt our hearts to leave! Fabulous service, fabulous food, drink and beach. This hotel does not disappoint! The only fault I would mention is that rooms are beginning to show their age, but that's minor compared to the overall experience
Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Average resort
Had some personal property stolen from the room. And major plumbing problem not adequately taken care of. It is too big and too crowded. A thousand chairs and nowhere to sit. Lots of mosquitos and sand fleas or something. The staff can’t possibly cater to the guests as they should. I’ll stick to Cuba where you always get a warm welcome.
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful Resort
This was our 11th time at the Ambar blue, have always enjoyed our stay and had a great time, met up with old friends and made new ones. We stayed two weeks and the weather was amazing, the best beach that is kept always clean.
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: 4 star resort
GOOD: Good rooms, clean resort, good transportation within the resort, no annoing beach sellers, no annoing time share sellers. Big resort, feels safe, good green grounds. Plenty of beach umbrellas, adults only zones, some very secluded areas on the beach for quiet sleep. BAD: Food is just ok: always something to eat, but poor selection of meat, fish and cheese (no beef, pork is always dry, fried chicken, fish was often absent or offered in 1-2 cheap choices like tilapia, only 2 to 4 kinds of [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: First time but not the last!
First time to Mexico and all I can say about this resort was it was. 5 star from the time we were welcomed with smiles , drinks and wet cloth to the time we left with hugs from the staff. Food was excellent from the a la cartes right down to the buffet. Snack bar by the pool was awesome, daily cleaning was bang on, with turn Down service at night to boot! Never had to wait for trolleys, and the 10 min ride to the beach is nothing..if your looking for a party place, this is not it , although th [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: A nice resort
The resort had one of the best ocean views we've ever had and it seems most rooms 4th floor up, have this view. Rooms were very clean and any minor issues we seen to in a very rapid manner. The food was very good in all restaurants so it's not hard to put on a few pounds. It was a very pleasant stay.
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: First-time "resorter"
Reasonable price for all-inclusive get-a-way in the sun. Rooms need updating. Buffet did not always appear to be the freshest (some of the food items). Great to have daily omelette cooked on the spot. Very satisfying. Frustrated with ATM out-of-order (but no signage to indicate same). A-la-carte restaurant dining very enjoyable experience......décor, service, food selection. Friendly, polite staff.
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Good Food-stay away from the Ala Carte-bad guest service experience
The buffet was good, excellent choices of fish, waitstaff were quick to clean up and top up your water/coffee/wine. A different story at the Ala Carte, orders were messed up, wait staff in a hurry/seems agitated or rude, quality of food was bad. Evening shows were great and there were activities by the pool from 10-6 everyday. We had a delay in getting our rooms upon checking in and the guest service agent was hesitant to explain about the activities available at the hotel despite having no line [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort!
The resort was very good. Lots of food options and transportation around the resort. Service was always very good. The air conditioner in our room did leak a fair bit but otherwise was very good. We couldn’t get our room service to work to get food in the evenings but otherwise everything was perfect.
Cayo Levantado Resort: 10 days in the sun
This was our 3rd time in DR. We only stay in adult only resorts. Before my hotel review please note: 4 hour transfer from Puerto Plata airport to the hotel + 3.5 hour flight from Toronto West Jet airport agents in Puerto Plata barely speak English. Hotel: fairly nice rooms - it was very humid in December and our clothes despite AC felt dump all the time. One annoying feature - every time patio/balcony door was open AC was resetting to 27C. Minibar, especially alcohol rack filled only sp [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A superb resort
We loved the restaurants, both the à la carte and buffets. The beaches were clean and well maintained. Sharing all 4 resorts gave you lots of options to try their restaurants, pools, bars and entertainment venues. The shuttles were fast, frequent and easy to flag down; they even play musc on board in the evenings. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. This was the best all-inclusive resort we’ve stayed at in Mexico and we’ve been at 7 other 4 and 5 stars.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Enjoyed the Resort
Facility was great, large which requires allot of walking. Pool area was nice with many activities, beach area was a bit disappointing, great scenery but not great for swimming, this is what too expect from the Runaway Bay area. Staff for the most part was fantastic with the exception of the front desk. The front desk seemed cold, uninterested and needed an attitude adjustment. Nightly entertainment was just that entertaining. Overall a good experience.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent resort minus one thing.
We have stayed here once before about 4 years ago but stayed at the Tulum Resort. We came back because the staff are a great help and the food is wonderful. The beach was being restored at that time (and still is). The drawback is the beach. Not only is it still being restored but has been reduced in size for those staying at Tulum and especially Coba, where we stayed this time. For those staying at Coba, which requires a Cartrain to get you to the beach, by the time you get there all the spots [... read more]
Cayo Levantado Resort: Absolutely Outstanding
This hotel exceeded expectations at all levels. The room was spacious, clean, and well provisioned. We received an upgrade. Our butler, Gabriel, saw to our every need and anticipated anything we could have wanted. The entire staff went out of their way to be helpful. Everyone was friendly in a genuine manner. The restaurants had varied menus and every meal was delicious and well presented. The buffets had a wide selection of food to appeal to every taste. The grounds and landscaping are bea [... read more]
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Great Resort Located on side of hill!
Hotel was Great! Lots of walking and stairs! Rides are available through concierge no problem Still need to do some stairs, but elevators are available in main building Pools and beach very nice, we used both! Lobby bar is great! Nice seating Our room was quite far away, so we did use transportation to and from our room, coffee service in room, not available in lobby till 7am, but so faraway from our room not a problem... DO NOT have the lobster dinner, on buffet or for purchase! grey in [... read more]
