Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: friendly warm resort

the resort is great , food is good , people are awesome, and the beach is fantastic. the room needs a little updating , but overall the trip was amazing . the weather was hot and sunny , service at all the amenities was really good.

Good location, good beach, good service. easy going, good price. I, 91 years old, have been there several times. I will be there again in November. I took part in excursions. The internet is too slow.

Playa Pesquero: disappointed

The first time I went to this resort was in 2006, it left me astounded! I loved it so much that I wanted to go back & brought friends along, I went back in 2014 & was not pleased at all, the food was terrible, birds flew in at the buffet and went right in the food trays to pick food and fly away, I saw tiny bugs in the cheese, all around the sweets etc...I'm sorry, I cannot recommend this what was once a wonderful resort.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great value!

Be sure to book either a villa or a bungalow close to the beach and you won't be disappointed. Resort is great value for money and although it is older it won't disappoint if you aren't expecting 5 stars. The food was surprisingly quite good and above our expectations.

Playa Pesquero: Amazing Resort ! One of a kind !

Clean grounds, excellent customer service, quality hotel, excellent food, high class entertainment and...convenient - close to the beach - snorkeling GALORE!. People who are in love with hot dogs, hamburgers and fries may not find this resort the best. Went there on May 2014 with a group of friends

Sol Turquesa Beach: Love Playa Turquesa

This is our 4th trip back to Playa Turquesa. This hotel is very large and there is a lot of walking. Which is good after a lot of sitting. It's very well kept, and very clean. The rooms are large and well kept. We love it here. It's the people that work her that make this resort so amazing. If there is anything that you need just ask and they will do there best to accomadate. We have made some great friends and will return again. The beach is beautiful and the food it great. Sol Turquesa Beach: Perfect vacation! (we had perfect weather too!)

Beautiful grounds (gardens and pools!!) & beach. The staff are super happy, friendly and helpful. Always something good to eat (remember their selection is limited and they're catering to different cultures). Highlights were having the person on the beach take us out on a catamaran and drop off us off at a nice snorkeling spot (close enough to swim back) - we took a paddle boat out to the same spot again later in the week and taking the scooter (cheap rentals right at the resort) into the market [... read more] in Guatalavarta (sp?) - countryside is BEAUTIFUL (mountains, farms ...) - get out & about for at least a day! Our shady balcony way a great rest spot after a day on the beach before dinner. Ask for the 400 block.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Friendly and safe

It is always a pleasure to return to Club Amigo. This time we booked in the Villas as it was best suited for our family. People were friendly and the food had improved from the last stay two years ago. I disliked the fact that there was a considerable amount of black mold growing on the walls of our rooms keeping a musty smell at all times. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Didn't expect much, had a nice trip.

Arrived late at night at the hotel, but several employees were there for the two buses that arrived, check-in was efficient. We booked a villa and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We happened to have a room with two bathrooms and a separate living room with sofas, tables and chairs. Perfect for our little family. Food was ok, we tried several "À la carte" restaurants, they offered almost the same menu, don't expect too much. The buffet in the bungalow section had the best food in our  [... read more]opinion. The restaurant in the villa section serve the best breakfast and the waitresses were very nice. We would go back, it's only a 3 stars, if you don't expect too much, you won't be disapointed.

Playa Costa Verde: Gorgeous Resort, Great Vacation!

We stayed for a week, had an awesome time, staff was friendly, food was good and the rooms were nice. Our room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The pools were perfect and loved the beach!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Old and Tired

This resort is past it's prime. It's old and falling into disrepair. The hotel rooms all have problems. We traded rooms 3 times, and then accepted a room that was the least terrible. Many smokers made it stinky to walk around in the foyer.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Amazing

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. It truly is as amazing at it looks all around. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful. The rooms were so clean each and everyday. The grounds, pool and restaurants were all great. Can't say enough good things about the Blau. My wife and I will return, for sure!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Fabulous vacation!!!

One of best vacation ever! Great snorkeling! Lots of fish, only the reaf was damaged by the storm in 2012. I loved the food, great choices, too much to eat! The loabster was great! we had fabulous time!!

Playa Pesquero: Playa Pesquero

The resort was well laid out with beautiful grounds and lots of activities to do and areas to walk. The staff were very helpful and efficient and the variety of food and venues was excellent. It was a great holiday.

OK overall, but bedding for the first night was so moldy we could not sleep at all. It too a lot of energy from us to change the motel unit. Nice beach, decent food, but too big and too crowded. The staff were friendly.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: new section after we upgrated was great, old bad

service was outstanding, new area beautifull old section dirty , Food was ok Found too many old man with young Cuba girls at this resort and nothing done about it, not hidden, shows where great, music great

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing resort but disappointed!

This is my 6 or 7th time to this resort. I go because of the friends I've made there over the years. The resort grounds are beautiful and most of the staff are amazing. The only downside of this trip was we had virtually no hot water for showering all week. I had read somewhere that the resort turned off the hot water at night. I don't sleep well and sometimes get up early and try and have a hot bath to go back to sleep. Imagine my shock when at 5 a.m. in the morning all I could bath in was ice  [... read more]cold water. I complained several times but nothing seemed to help.

This was our 3rd time at Club Amigo. We went with Trip Central through Gail Meister in Wolfville. We always go through the Trip Central site because with their "Vacation Selection Grid " it's easy to compare prices, areas and time plus all prices are always upfront without hidden costs and taxes included. We always go to Cuba because it is safe, friendly and you can usually book an all inclusive resort for 2 weeks for about the same price as 1 week in other Caribbean Islands. As always the staff [... read more] and local people are wonderful and the rooms clean and a good selection in food. Last year was our 10th time to Cuba and it won't be the last. Gail was a big help in getting a place for the budget which we had to work with. Amigo has a lot to do and great nightly entertainment, tours, local vendors and other things. It's nice to take the tours in the local towns as the area is so safe and you can wander around anywhere. The local people are so friendly and there is always a warm feeling there because of them. My wife and I are boring people and are happy to lie on the beautiful beaches or pools with a book. We just go to enjoy the sun, warmth and wonderful people. Looking at other reviews I believe some people just go to complain . . WE DON'T!" If you want to go and overpay for your vacations go to other sites. Trip Central has always been our site. and you know right up front what you're paying. 31/2 Stars and up are recommended. We're looking at Don Lino next winter a small resort with good reviews. We hired a taxi and visited the small resort. Beautiful rooms "RIGHT ON THE BEACH" with prices that are 2nd to none. THANKS TRIP CENTRAL FOR A WONDERFUL AND SAFE VACATION!"

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Very nice property with great beach

Can be a bit of a walk from certain areas, but overall resort very well maintained and choice of restaurants very good. Beach if very nice, and be sure to visit the disco and request your favourite sont.

Playa Pesquero: Just ok

This was the 4th time i have been to this resort.I found the food just ok,bacon was terrible,lobster got better as the 2 weeks went on.They ran out of french fries in the 2nd week,which i hear from friends didn't reappear for another week and a half.I found it dirtier than the other times,at least 3 toilet seats missing in mens washrooms,i don't think the swept pool area.The rooms were nice and clean,really counldn't hear the construction next to our room at all.The staff was very hospitable and [... read more] the beach is beautiful.
