Paradisus Varadero: Great Resort!

Had a wonderful relaxing time. We were happy to have had our suites near the pool and beach. Even though it rained a bit, still there is always someplace to just sit and relax or listen to the music and wait it out. Found everyone to be polite and very helpful. Loved our stay there.

Playa Caleta: Decent 3 Stars

This is two hotels combined into one. We checked-in in building one and had to go to building two. There is only one elevator working in building one and one in building two. There is always a line up so we took the stairs everyday. Buffet was decent but same food everyday. The Chinese restaurant was delicious. There are two pools. Swim up bar at pool two isn’t open. The grill near pool two is decent. The beach is beautiful but not soft as there is a lot of seashells. We had hot water in our s [... read more]hower. We had ac in our room. Our safe didn’t work. The drinks are good never too long a lineup. La Salsa (the disco in hotel one) was lots of fun. We went a couple nights and had a great time. The double decker bus that you can ride for $5 a day (unlimited use per day) doesn’t come to this hotel... you can take a free shuttle twice a day or else you need to cab for about $10. Checking was easy and so was checkout. Wifi is $1 for an hour. Our room was cleaned everyday but the sheets weren’t changed. Towels are $15 deposit so bring your own. I found the hotel kinda over crowded. Especially hotel one. Long lineup for lunch buffet. Hotel is decent. I wouldn’t return but not because the hotel itself because the large amount of other ‘rude’ guests. I’m sure if you read other reviews others have mentioned the type of rude guests I’m talking about. Constantly asking others for cigarettes... butting in lines... just stuff that partly ruined our vacation.

Playa Vista Azul: Good resort

The resort was beautiful, well maintained with good beach options and pools. Plenty of lounge chairs and places to soak in the sun. The food wasn’t the greatest, as is the norm in Cuba, but we did find some good options, as there are several a la cart restaurants. The Cuban and Italian restaurants were the best. The Privilege package was great for getting the better drinks at the private bar, but not everything listed for the package was actually provided. Room service in particular was terrib [... read more]le, as you have to order it the day before and often times it comes cold. It also says you can order breakfast from 7-11 but wouldn’t let us have food sent until 8. Room selection seemed to be very random, so be wary of upgrading. Night life pretty much dies down after 11, but the one beach bar stays open later, with food and drink options and a decent place to chill. Most staff members were great, but some were not. For those who live by their phone, you will not like the wifi coverage as it is spotty at best. Overall a good resort, but not great.

Melia Marina Varadero: Great Value and Staff

Had a great time at Melia Marina. The staff were awesome, food was very good. Rooms are a bit dated but are clean and provide everything you could need. The staff is more than willing to assist you with any questions you have. Beach and pool are awesome!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great Resort

The hotel was very clean, staff are amazing and quality of service was great. The food at the buffet was very disappointing. The resort needs some updates but we really enjoyed our 10 day trip. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

Palma Real: Great resort for the money

A lot of improvement have been done since last year .The public washrooms were all redone completely and very clean.The room we stayed in was in building #1 with new mattress and newly painted.The pools were always cleaned every morning also with new edging.All the staff were very friendly and eager to help.There is a lot of work in progress.

Melia Marina Varadero: Lovely resort.

The Level service was very good and we had access to the Level concierge service which was always very accommodating for making reservations at restaurants and the spa. One comment about the beds available at the pool for only Level guests needs to be better marked for Level guests as others were making use of them. Perhaps a reservation system or regular monitoring of the pool area would ensure that the guests for which these are to be used are in fact able to use them. Not all guests are com [... read more]fortable with confrontation of other guests that are using the facilities or going to speak to hotel staff about abuse of services by guests that are not paying for Level services.

Club Kawama: Kawama oh mamma

I will be returning many more times. Great ; resort staff, safe property, excellent beach & pool.....plus fun nightly entertainment !!! Lots of variety in buffet which changes daily & amazing a la carte Italian resto. I'm low maintenance so it's a solid 4star for me. Red & white wine tho was not great but they redeem themselves in Italian resto.....

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort! Would definitely go back!

The Sanctuary section of Grand memories was beautiful, intimate with the right balance between quiet and activity. The grounds were lush and beautiful. The restaurant and service was excellent. Friendly staff. Plus the added bonus of access to all that the Grand Memories resort had to offer. The beach and pool area were beautiful. Lots of sun chairs, however you did have to get up early to reserve a spot if you wanted shade. Plenty of food with unlimited a la carte reservations and two a l [... read more]a carte options for lunch. We only ate the buffet twice, which was also good. My only criticism is that the service at the Italian restaurant was very poor and as a Sanctuary guest the finer wines at the Gormet restaurant should be included, or at least some of them. The rooms were fine. We had a deluxe suite and the bed and pillows were the best we’ve had in Cuba!! We would definitely go back!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Could be worst.

Like everybody, this hotel has goods and bads. We were upgraded to a "suite" for 100$ CAD, the room was huge. Full king, 2 sofas and T.V, dinning table fridge and best... two washrooms. Toiletries was to a minimum we had to request for toilet paper and bar fridge to be filled up which wasn't after leaving a 5 Peso tip. No bugs. Food was repetitive.....pasta, pasta and again pasta. We all know it's Cuba. Beach was good, no music after 12:30 which I though it was weird. Bar at the beach, [... read more] Maria she was perfect. Area is clean, no plastic cups or cigarettes butt. Pool great. Staff is excellent and the entertainment is GREAT. I would recommend to a friend but not a picky, snobby want to be kind of friend.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Ok not amazing resort

This hotel is not good for people who has mobility problem. It has almost 900 rooms and only one elevator works. All the others were broken. I was stuck in one for 15 minutes and press the emergency button but no one came. There were no air in the elevator . I was terrified. I reported it and all they said were sorry. I will not go back.

Paradisus Varadero: Gorgeous and breathtaking resort

The hotel was outstanding. A breathtaking landscaping beautiful all around. The room was always kept in mint condition. Our stay at Paradisus Varadero was a memorable one and we will never forget how incredible our experience of staying at this resort was. My husband and I were blown away by each and every day we had spent here. I would recommend this resort to all who ask me where they should go on their vacation 💜💜💜🏖🏖

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Nice ressort

Beach is nice and clean. The rooms have a modern feel. The good is ok, but far from amazing as to be expected in Cuba. The resort is spacious and not too over crowded, especially in the evenings. Would recommend to a friend.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Reaort

Beach was amazing and clean. Kept clean and well maintained facilities and pool. Friendly and polite staff. Pool could of been a little warmer. Staff was friendly and accommodating to requests. Could of improved on the entertainment. On morning of departure there was no food available prior to us leaving even though it was promised!! However, all in all a pretty good resort!

Playa Caleta: Love this place. It’s my second home

I can’t grt over all the improvements they have done. Both inside and out. The workers are all so friendly and more than willing to help you. As usual the resort is very clean. The meals were all very tasty. We had turkey one nite that was better than any I have ever had here at home.

Melia Marina Varadero: Awesome stay at melia marina cuba

This is the second time at this resort and it was just as great as the first time. The level service is amazing and the à la cart restaurants were very tasty. Definitely the best food I’ve ever eaten in Cuba

Occidental Arenas Blancas: what a week

the Hotel is dated but clean - the buffet could be bigger overall the food was fine - very close to down town and walking distantance of the Bealtes bar what a great night that was swiminig with the dalfins was great what a rush varadaro cuba is one of my most favorite places to go and would return again in a heart beat.

Gran Caribe Sun Beach: Wonderfulland heart warming

I enjoy every time I go back to this resort as for the staff I can never say I bad review..this is why I keep going back and still will be in the future.I love the location also the guests who are around to talk too.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice Place at Playa Alameda

For a first trip in Cuba we are very satify with the value and experience that we live there. Good location beside the beach. Room are nice and good service all around the hotel. Bars and dinner are very well located throuthout the hotel.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: More than meets the eye!

This hotel was perfect. We originally booked an oceanfront bungalow but upgraded to a junior suite with a sea view. The bungalow is quite a walk to all the amenities. Our bungalow was on the third floor with no elevator. The junior suite was amazing. The bed was a king bed with a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. We also had a sitting room. The food was fantastic and had lots of variety. The grounds were very well maintained. Everything was colourful and lush. From the moment we arrived the check in was quick and efficient. If you had any questions the reception staff was eager to help. The bank made changing your money a breeze. The check out was as fast as check in. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the resort and are already looking forward to returning next year. I would suggest you give Labranda Resort a try for your next vacation... we are really glad we did.
