Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Good resort

Hotel overall is good. Especially the service staff. Beaches: very high waves and strong currents, beach rescue teams were non existent. Lot of peddled on the beach. Beach bars did not come around to serve beverages or fruits.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: A commendable resort, but not yet 5 stars

The resort is new, clean and spacious. The pool facilities are well organized. Most of the staff is friendly. Food is good; enough selection. Cocktails at the pool bar and coffee in the lobby snack bar are great! However, when we were there, the resort was not fully established as 5-stars in all aspects yet. The layout, the design/branding, the buildings and facilities are there, but still many areas to improve in terms of day-to-day operations and management. For example: - not all [... read more] the restaurants were open. Only a buffet and a French restaurant were in operation, but we could walk to Hyatt Ziva for other all-inclusive food options. - Front desk didn't have full staff; when we called front desk, most of the time no one picked up. - staff behind certain food stations of the buffet was inexperienced and slow in serving food. - no/slow/passive response to requests (e.g. we booked a double-bed room, but were given one with a king-size bed and a sofa bed. It was not ideal, but we accepted it. However, only the king-size bed came with a blanket. We talked to the housekeeping staff and to the front desk multiple times, asking for a second blanket for the sofa bed, but we didn’t get one. By the 4th night, we gave up asking for a blanket). Taking into consideration that it’s a new resort, not everything would be perfect. It’s still a commendable resort. We had a good time there.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort

This hotel was exactly what we expected after having read the reviews; the grounds were beautiful, rooms clean and bed comfortable, best beach in the area and food was simply great! Restaurants were great, but the Japanese zen reservation was un-necessary as this was our least favorite restaurant.

Secrets Cap Cana: Underwhelmed and Satisfactory

The location is ideal as it is within a close proximity to the airport, gated and safe. The resort is not bad just not awe inspiring. The service is not bad. The overall vibe is it lacks something. There needs to be something authentic that you are in the Caribbean or in the Dominican. There was no themed nights to highlight their culture nor anything. There needs to be something with this chain that shows customer appreciation within their brand such as upgrades for frequent guests.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort!

Great facility. Beautiful beach! Stunning rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only problem was that all the restaurants were booked when we arrived. They should reserve restaurants for Ambar guests.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Dream Vacation

The Grand Bahia Principe was a dream come true! From the moment we arrived to the day we departed the staff treated us like royalty! The buffet was outstanding with a wide assortment of foods for every taste bud. The wait staff became friends. The grounds were well manicured and beautifully kept. The pools were clean and the drinks were plentiful. Our favourite part was soaking up the sun on the sandy beach and swimming in the ocean. Paradisus Punta Cana: Great staff and stay

Staff goes above and beyond: front desk noticed my daughter's birthday just passed and left cake and champagne in our room. Beautiful beachfront property and lots of pool chairs. Lots of bars with non alcoholic options as well!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Superb

Our first time at Bahia Principe Aquamarine. What an amazing resort. The food was exceptional. We were surprised that our garden view room had a lovely view of the sauna pool. The room was spacious and amazingly clean. Feature restaurants provided a superb experience. Cleanliness throughout the resort was A+

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Mediocre resort

Hotel rooms seem kind of old. Food wasn't good, except the pasta station, breakfast and the Indian a la carte. Beach was nice and service was good, but no room service. Overall, I would never recommend this resort to anyone. Not sure how it became a 5 star resort.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Watch out for the thieves

Getting to Now Onyx November 28, we attended a presentation on site approved by the resort. My credit card was stolen during the presentation on Saturday, it was used the Wednesday for over 10 000 $ of charges, some of it gas !!! So far the resort has done nothing to compensate us for our troubles. So beware on the hotel resort.

Riu Republica: Very nice resort

The property is very clean and still looks very new. The rooms are clean and in good condition. The beach is fantastic. The coffee served in the resort is horrible. The best things to do is to get it from the machines. Also the Hard Rock Hotel next to the Riu Republica burns garbage late at night. This smoke get into the ventilation system and makes your room smell like a ash tray. We have been at the Riu República 3 times. We know to get a room close to the beach to avoid the smell.

Riu Republica: Nice resort with amazing food

The rooms were okay, nothing too fancy. The food was amazing. A lot of variety every meal and very savoury. The beaches were nice. There was staff always cleaning and picking up the cups. The entertainment team was very energetic and fun. Although not all shows were fun to watch.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Very disappointing - look at other options

Resort is rundown and under staffed. This is my 23rd all-inclusive and this was the worst! Front desk and Guest Service - total useless and could not care less. They hang up when you call and the person who answers were rude. Rooms - general issues: toilets don’t work, safe broken, tv missing remote, phone wasn’t working. Others at the pool and beach all complained of the same or similar issue. Buffet - in the Caribbean resort and NO fruit. Food station were general empty and me [... read more]ssy. Under staffed and plates and mess everywhere. Specialist restaurant - service and food quality was also disappointing. We and others ended up walking out. Ocean Blue and Sand: Many small irritants

Our complaints started on the first day. They did respond promptly. The thermostat did not work properly, the ceiling light would not turn on, the safe was locked, the mini fridge was empty, there were no bed table lights. Our room was surrounded by rooms occupied by high school students on their graduation trip. They had loud music all night, played ball in the room, banged doors at all times of the day, knocked on our door during nap time by mistake. At the beach they have placed enormous sand bags that ruin the view. On the other hand, the food was superb and the service in general was acceptable, although not consistent. We enjoyed the entertainment team. There are lots of things to do for people of all ages.

Excellence El Carmen: Exemplary Resort

Simply put this five star resort has to be experienced to appreciate. From its Champagne welcome to its impeccable beach, it truly is a wonder. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Nice resort, needs some improvement

Grounds were nicely kept, plenty of bars but not enough spaces in the buffet. Spent too much time in line waiting to get to food. Also would appreciate not being hounded for joining a time share or " getting your welcome gift" every time I entered or left my building. Cleanliness could be improved as well. Utensils and dishes were dirty.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Amazing resort

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: all good except!

the hotel was as expected, clean rooms, good food, good bar service, nice beach, good room service, cold AC in room. room smelled must at first but got dehumidifier and it cleared it out. transport back to airport was problematic and chaos at punta cana airport was to much to bear. excellent vacation overshadowed by very poorly run airport check in. and because of that my party of five will not return to DR.

Riu Republica: Enjoyable resort

Room was comfortable and clean. Selection of specialty Restuarant would recommend the Spanish.All in all had a fabulous time. Adults resort with younger crowds. We are in our sixties and still had enjoyable time.

Riu Bambu: Good value for the money!

Clean and well maintained. Pretty grounds with lots of palm trees and wide white sand beaches. A good variety of sun and shaded areas. Lots of lounge chairs for everyone. We loved the quieter pool by the beach surrounded with palm trees😍 We had an amazing room with sofa and chair and balcony that faced the ocean and pool surrounded by beautiful palms. Loved it.
