Ocean Blue and Sand: Overall very good resort showing it's age as a 4+ star.

The property is meticulously clean and well maintained and the staff work hard to ensure you have a pleasant time. Beach is cleaned of sargassum seaweed every morning and raked. The food is very good in taste and selection. A-la-carte restaurants offer simple menus with upgrade $$ options if you want to indulge. You have to line up before 9am to book the Steakhouse or the Japanese restaurants, and both are excellent. The others work on first come basis and you can usually get seated between 6-7 [... read more]pm. While the bars are plentiful unless you upgrade to Privilege class the top shelf liquors are not available and after dinner only the Lobby Bar and Piano Bars are open. The Beach Restaurant is only available to Privilege guests for breakfast, but open to all for lunch. Not all the restaurants are open every night! Rooms are clean and have comfortable beds, laminate floors and no carpets. Never a problem with hot water, a/c, fan or mold on our third-floor suite. They even provide a simple and complimentary shaving and dental kit along with mouthwash in the bathroom. Easy property to walk and there is a trolley that runs every 10 minutes. The resort is a business so will try to sell you membership over an hour presentation, but you can politely decline. Although the beach is nice, it's NOT what's in the promotional photos. More than half of it has washed away and there are huge sandbags installed to control erosion. Vendors are allowed on the beach and sell everything from jewelry (beads), excursions, cigars, photos with parrots and iguanas and so on. A polite wave-off and they move on. Lounge chairs are plentiful at beach and pools but get up early to grab your favourite spot. The Blue Team rallies guests to get involved in beach and pool games along with nightly dancing. They host a Beach Party mid-week. Yes there are sand-flies so bring some bug spray. The nightly entertainment was somewhat lacking and repetitious. A few karaoke singers and local theater dance productions on the weekends. Top marks for food quality and selection, cleanliness of grounds and rooms, maintenance of pool and beach areas. They should consider more or better evening entertainment. One disappointment is the name brand liquor. All-inclusive should mean all-inclusive. Ordered a martini at the lobby bar and when I asked for name brand Vodka or Gin I was told it was for Privilege guests only so they used local stuff. Overall we found it good value for the money and would consider returning.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Surpassed All Expectations! Amazing Trip!

7 of us friends just got back from a trip to Ocean El Faro. We opted into the privilege package which granted us access to all restaurants on both sides (family and adults only). The resort was very clean, and modern (built in 2019) - a refreshing change from the aging 5-star resorts I have been to in the Dominican Republic. The beach is not the nicest - strong waves and rocky beach was not ideal, but not a deal breaker for us. We are very glad to have taken Susan's recommendation, and I personally would love to come back again!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: It could be better!

Well, it is not a 5* resort. It is more like 3*. I should get a luxury room with an ocean view. I got a huge room for 5 people, which was stinking very badly. Of course I couldn't sleep in such a stench so they moved me to a small quite comfortable room without the stench. None of these rooms had a sea view. This resort was very peaceful and quiet. Ocean Maya Royale: Great resort even if a bit noisy.

Staff very friendly, property kept very nicely. Music very loud by 'party' pool all afternoon and very loud in front lobby area in the evening. Try to get a room as far away as possible from those two if you want some peace and quiet. Also, do not drink the water at restaurants, ice or crushed ice. We were very sick for 24 hours. Ocean Coral Spring: Housekeeping

The Ocean Coral Spring Resort was amazing & met our needs in most every way. If there was one area that could be improved on would be in Housekeeping. While they did a great job in cleaning, most days we were left with only 1 or 2 towels in the bathroom & no wash cloths. Each time we had to remind them to leave the items or ask for them if we saw their cart in the hallway.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort

This was our first time going to Mexico and will be definitely returning. Ocean riviera paradise was absolutely amazing. We stayed at El Beso section we had a swim up room. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The king size bed was so comfy. The service through out the resort was excellent especially Nelly at the swim up bar. David the gentle man that drove the shuttle made us laugh everday every time he drove by. Miguel was also amazing and friendly. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great resort

Was in the adult section with privelidge up grade. The resort has many areas of interest that will keep you busy ie bowling, sports bar, lazy river which was amazing, plus much more. No problem getting palapas on the beach or around the many pools. The rooms and balconies were a good size clean and tidy. The food was a mixed bag, but always something that would work. The areas that need improvement would to have a descent lounge for the priveledge guests. Other then that I would recommend this resort 5 Star for families and 4 for adults.

Ocean Eden Bay: Not going back.

Rooms are dirty, grounds are not well kept, no hot water at times in the showers. Staff is rude, pool is falling apart (literally picking tiles out of the pool) They don’t clean up cups and garbage from around pool, from previous day. Food was alright, nothing to rave about. This is my 5th time in Jamaica, and I would not return to this resort.

Ocean Eden Bay: Ok resort

We had a lovely week in Jamaica in January, however there were some hiccups. They had 1 dinner & show restaurant, it was fully booked the entire week, could not get in, very disappointing. Our air conditioner was not working properly but was fixed. Resort was nice and clean, well maintained. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Pool area was clean. Food was amazing. Main lobby bar, felt unwelcome sometimes, couple bartenders, no smiles, felt like we were bothering them to make us a drink. But there were some who were very nice. Room - cleaning service not great, most days did not show up. Once we complained then they appeared. Turn down service only showed up twice. Butler- Aundre was wonderful, he did his best when we had issues. He did a beautiful design on their bed for her 50th birthday, he went above and beyond, simply gorgeous. Thank you. Bartender- Ritchie also made our vacation awesome, he has a large smile, great personality and a pleasure to be around, thank you. Aundre and Ritchie made our vacation extra special! For a new resort, 5 stars rating, many things lacking. I was not that impressed, for the money we spent it was not worth it. I’m not sure if I would recommend this resort, everyone has their own opinion. You would have to experience it yourself, everything might turn out well & not have any issues.

Ocean Eden Bay: An Excellent Resort

My husband and I had an excellent vacation at Ocean Eden Bay. Having the Coral Springs side to also experience at the same time added to the value of the resort. We felt it was extremely good value at the price point that we paid for an ocean view room (without privilege service). What stood out for us were the rooms were spacious, well laid and the beds were extremely comfortable. The balcony was also a nice size with decent chairs and a side table. We especially enjoyed the Steakhouse, Marlin, Sense's Dinner Theatre, and Bluemoon (confusing but menu was at Marlin certain nights) for dinners. Marlin for breakfast. Captain's Table for lunch. The pool was great but too noisy with music and games for our liking so we mostly stayed at the beach. It was small but adequate. Really for us, the only negative was we like a bigger beach to walk along. In other reviews, people complained about the service from staff. Our experience was that all staff members were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very un Atmosphere

This trip was nothing short of a phenomenal experience. The ambiance of the resort was absolutely stunning, fun energy and created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing morning at the beach, dancing and games at the pool with Blue Team in the afternoon and evening food, entertainment and dancing. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable and went above and beyond by teaching me Spanish and making me comfortable letting loose on the dance floor. The bartenders, in particular, were outstanding in their craft, and one individual, Julio Pio, stood out in making my groups experience truly unforgettable. Julio not only demonstrated exceptional bartending skills but also added an extra layer of entertainment to the experience. His enthusiastic chants and lively dances while crafting drinks brought a unique and joyful atmosphere to the bar. I wished he was at the pool cause his enthusiasm really amps me up. It's these personal touches that make a stay truly special and memorable. I was so impressed. We enjoyed his service so much that when we found out he was serving in Route 66 we decided that’s were we need to eat cause we knew he will make the experience better. Ramon and Leandrc Villalona we met at the buffet and they really stood out and impressed me by remembering me and teaching me in Spanish how to say “Whats up”. Then every time they saw me we chanted together and I felt like I was a part of their family. They truly made the experience fun and hope they get noticed for their outstanding work! I can confidently say that the dedication and passion of the Ocean Blue and Sand Punta Cana staff, exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a perfect blend of beautiful ambiance, exceptional service, great food, affordable price and an unforgettable vacation experience. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: clean tidy and comfortable resort

It took 2 days to get the humidity out of the room but after that it was comfortable. The grounds were immaculate, staff kept things looking good. The pool was clean, and the service was great. I would suggest that the hotel monitor 2 things - their no smoking policy is not policed and allowing people to place their towels on the lounge chairs then never show up is not fair to others. The restaurant staff are beyond fabulous - they are kind, helpful and friendly. The food at all venues was great - you can call always find something delicious. The Mikes Coffee staff are the quickest baristas I've ever seen, serving up great coffee. But, the roads to the hotel - full of pot holes - are the worst - be prepared for the roughest ride of your life.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Fantastic time ¡

This was a wonderful week. The resort was clean, modern and beautiful. The associates were outgoing and helpful. The food was never boring. The buffet was changed daily with an abundance of fresh produce. We pretty much camped out beside the pool from dawn to dusk daily and never had a problem finding lounge chairs and towels. We are already planning to return!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great bang for your buck!

We were nervous due to the many reviews that were all o we the place. But we were very happy at El Beso. The location was great. Not near the airport that you see and hear planes all day but not a three hour drive after the flight after. The beach was gorgeous even though the employees kept saying it was an Atlantic beach not the Caribbean white sands everyone is looking for. I still enjoyed it. But there is rocky areas. There are vendors that walk around on the beach trying to sell photos with pets, jewelry, hair braids, etc. but they were not too pushy so it was not a hassle. The food was fantastic at each of the restaurants. We did not get to go to the Sakura or Steakhouse. Those two were booked out by privilege guests all week. But I do not feel like I missed out because the food was great everywhere else. Even the buffet. The rooms were clean and cool. Some in my party may have found it too cold but they got extra blankets for their bed. We did find the rooms to smell a tad musty it mold like. I had read a bunch of reviews about this before my trip so I brought essential oils which was the world of difference. When you have humidity all the time, I can understand it smelling like this. Easy fix. The lazy river with the drive thru bar was my favourite part of the trip. Shade, drinks, and cool water to keep you cool. Great spot to enjoy your days.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Long check In

We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 AM, did not get our rooms till 2:30 AM. They were not prepared there was 10 of us and we had to wait in the lobby after long travels with small children. We all wanted to be together, they told us to check in again in the morning so that we could be on the ground level which I had requested through the travel agent, we tried this for three days in a row and our request was never fulfilled. The grounds are lovely and if you have small children the Daisy section is very good for them. The Italian restaurant and the Japanese restaurant were great. The steakhouse it tasted like food from the Buffet. I found that the staff was not trained as well as the resort that we stayed at last year. It was clean. They tell you that they’re going to upgrade your room but it never happens. we were told to go to guest services, which we did, but the representative from Air Transat was just interested in selling you tours, said he would help but he never followed through. Also we were told we had to check in with guest services on the first day to get our departure time, it’s a scam they try to sell you tours

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort

Our stay from January 7 to 14 was very relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The À la Carte restaurants were excellent. We tried Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Steakhouse and French and lots of variety at the buffets. Unfortunately, the whole resort was without hot water for about 24 hours so cold shower was not too pleasant. Beach was not the best I've seen... lots of coral. We had purchased the Privilege package and was well worth it. Our butler José was the most dedicated, professional and friendly employee that we have ever experienced. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

We had an amazing time at the resort. I’m a very picky eater and the food was better than my expectations. I’d say it was very delicious. I had an amazing prime rib dinner at the buffet one night, the breakfasts were always my favourite. There was a honey comb that gave fresh honey for pancakes. The A la carts were delicious too. The staff worked effortlessly to ensure guests were well taken care of. I can’t wait to go back to this resort. First time in Mexico and the memories I have will last a life time! Thanks to my travel agent Heather for suggesting this resort that matched all my wants in a vacation!!!!
