Secrets Aura Cozumel: A disappointment for a Secret's branded resort.

The resort was smaller and bit dated but overall was pretty clean. First impressions were not favourable. On arrival, we were not greeted by any welcome staff. Rooms were not provided as requested. Seemed to be a shortage of dishware in buffet - no side dishes, no bowls - only large dinner plates. Made it difficult with soup and cereals. Also seemed to be shortage of wait staff in buffet. Restaurants were very good. Pools and pool side service was very good. As noted by others Aura Cozumel se [... read more]emed to be "the poor cousin" of the Secret's Resorts.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Not your typical Secrets

I had stayed at 4 Secrets prior to booking Aura Cozumel. I am a huge fan of the brand. This resort, however, was not quite up to the standard of the other Secrets Resorts. This location was purchased from Wyndham 8 years ago and not all rooms are renovated - many are out dated. It definitely needs a facelift. The staff was pleasant - but the service was fairly slow. If you have never been to a Secrets, don’t judge them based on this resort. Overall I would say it is 4 stars at best.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort!

This was a beautiful resort. The grounds were well kept with beautiful flowers. The meals tasted great although there were waits at some alocarts. The entertainment was also great, just a terrible dj at karaoke night. No one stayed. The staff were very mannerly and accomodating. The rooms were very clean. It was a very large resort and although we prefer smaller ones, this is one we would recommend for people wanting a relaxing but entertaining vacation.

Secrets Wild Orchid: Very nice resort

Very clean....great staff....our oceanview room was worth the extra money.....food was good but not exceptional....pinot grigio was hard to find at most of the resort bars. The entertainment had great variety and well done.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort - we will visit again!!

Secrets Capri was one of the best adult only resorts we have been too. All age groups were represented!! Everything was checked off of our list. The size of the resort was perfect. The food was unbelievable in the restaurants - loved not making reservations. It had beautiful grounds, amazing pools and beaches, staff were so friendly!! Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Totally over the top

This was our eighth Mexican all inclusive. Secrets Maroma was the best we have stayed in to date. The room was beautiful, the ground wonderfully kept. The best part was the service. When you go to the pool in the morning, the pool concierge greets you, and finds you loungers and puts towels on them, and up goes the umbrella, if you wish. This is the same if you go to the beach. We really enjoyed all the shows. So many fun activities all day long. The a la carte restaurants were wonderful. We really enjoyed the buffets also. All in all the best holiday to date.

Secrets Huatulco: Great resort!!

Great resort, Beach was great, pools were large and nice. The resort was very clean. Rooms were comfortable with a great view of the ocean and whales passing through. The service staff were outstanding, friendly smiling attentive and efficient. Restaurants were all very good. Steaks aren’t like home, very thin. The Mexican restaurant...not so great. Overall, though it was wonderful 2 weeks, will be returning.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Best experience yet

The resort is smaller but really well laid out with beautiful greenery. Plenty of room by the pool if you want and lots of options for the beach. There are also nooks and crannies all over. The food is very good and the outdoor Mexican buffet on show night was outstanding. Loads of options for daytime activities if you wanted, or not - we weren't hassled to do stuff. All the staff were incredible! They really made us feel special. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Not worth the name Secrets

We visit the same name resort in DR last year,it was great 5*.I had a food poisoning on my 3 day. The rest was a disaster.Doctor visit me in the room.Was given I’v with 4 meds at the cost of $370us.Will never travel to Mexico again.The best was the flight business class,thanks to Graham !

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Beautiful resort / Great staff

This was my husband and I first experience at a Secrets resort in Mexico. We had a spectacular Ocean view room and experienced beautiful sunrises most morning. The grounds and facilities are well maintained and the beach is beautiful. The daily entertainment was great. We ate at all restaurants and even took advantage of the restaurant at the Dreams resort next door which is really close. All were inviting, beautifully decorated and the food was Ok. Secrets Aura Cozumel: Fun in the Sun!

Went to Secrets Aura Cozumel with another couple...all in our 50's. We all really liked the resort. Loved the slides, the staff, the pools, the use of Sunscape next door, the food was quite good and room service was excellent. Staff served you wherever you were...at the beach, playing ping pong, in the pool, out of the pool. Food and drinks were plentiful everywhere you went. Bordeaux was the best restaurant...get the beef tenderloin or the lamb. A couple of really nice touches like the se [... read more]rvice, and top shelf drinks make this resort worth the extra $$. The SkyBar is a great place to meet for a before dinner sunset cocktail, or a sushi app. Great drinks and atmosphere. Had a pool room that had a slide down into the swim up bar....How convenient and fun! The only negative comment I would have would be that the resort itself is starting to show a little wear and tear and the rooms could use a refurbishing with paint and some new furniture....the beds were very comfy though. The beach is rocky to get in but the snorkeling is fabulous right near the pier. I would definitely return to Secrets Aura Cozumel.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Fantastic Resort!

My wife and I could not be more happy with Secrets Vallarta Bay. Staff, service, food, drinks, entertainment..everything about the resort was top-notch. Definitely recommend for couples looking for an adult-only vacation.

Secrets Royal Beach: Didn't want to leave

This is the first trip south where my husband, and I weren't ready to come home. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. We had excellent, friendly service. The atmosphere is very laid back. Most of the daily activities take place around the pool area so if you are not into that, the lazy river offers a relaxing alternative. The majority of people during our stay (Feb 24 - March 3 2019) were couples in their 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond. Foam parties in the pool are a blast. They had tw [... read more]o during our stay. Overall the food was excellent. The buffets get tiresome, but that has been our experience at every resort we have visited. The lobby bar makes excellent cocktails with premium liquors. Our biggest complaint is that there are a limited amount of lounge chairs around the pool and lazy river areas, and we found that if you don't secure one by 7 am, there are slim pickings after that. By 8 am we found that all chairs were spoken for. We were also very disappointed with the number of people that reserve their chairs by placing a towel or some other object on it and then spend the day at the beach. This resort needs to enforce its 8 am policy.

Secrets Royal Beach: Excellent

We were very happy with the resort at every level. The grounds, accommodations, pool, food and beach all very good. We stayed for 10 days. Would definitely return and probably extend the stay next time. Our booking with TG at Trip Central was great and the travel with Air Transit was also very good.

Secrets Royal Beach: Very disappointed.

We arrived and had to wait for our room and then prior to getting the key had to sit through a sales pitch for their other locations. After being up 12 hours that was the last thing we wanted to do. The room decor was old and tired and the floor was not well cleaned especially in the toilet area and in the shower stall there was mildew in the corner. The food in the restaurants was terrible and the portions pathetically small. We ate most of the time at the buffet which had constant lines u [... read more]ps for hot made to order food. Staff overall were very polite.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: A little disappointed but still worthwhile

This was only our second experience at a Secrets Resort and it had a very different feel. Our room was perfectly located, by chance of cou, but we were very appreciative. The food was not nearly as good as our last trip but the staff was friendly and attentive in the bars. Our maid service was poor but the room was maintained. The pools were great but beach was not. Terrible time getting bath towels and beds made.

Secrets Huatulco: Beyond our expectations

This was my third time to this resort with my wife and we had another fabulous time. This was our first time in a king swim out room and I don't think we could stay anywhere else now lol. This hotel still has the best service compared to anywhere else we have been to. If you are a pool person and love hot weather you can't go wrong here. The sand on the beach is hot so you need water shoes but we didn't go to the beach once this trip because we are pool people. Service is great, the weather is  [... read more]hot and perfect for us except for burning our lips off lol. The food was good and you could always find something to eat and cans of bud light topped it off. We are going to go back next year for two weeks.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Fabulous Resort

We visited Secrets the Vine Cancun for a conference and added a few days on to make the stay one week long in March 2019. The unit was beautiful, a corner unit with a surrounding balcony. It was very nicely decorated and very homey. It was clean. The staff could not do enough for you. Every time you turned around they were there to help with a chair or serviette. One trip is fine but for someone who spends some time on the beach, it becomes irritating. The other thing, it is advertised that each person gets a free round of golf a day at another secret in Cancun. Unfortunately, that is not the case. It cost us 150 round trip US, and a 99 service fee for each golfer. It was very disappointing as the golf manager would not budge one cent. There were 5 of us golfing and the course was not busy. This is something that should be addressed as it is misleading. Thank you.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Secrets Playa Mujeres

We spent a week at the Secrets Playa Mujeres at the end of February 2019. This was our first time in PM which is about 30-40 minutes north of Cancun - the area is beautiful and seems more relaxed and secluded than Cancun or the Mayan Riviera. The resort is beautiful and well maintained - lots of chairs around the pool and on the beach. We spent a half day at the spa and each got massages because we got a deal (50% off) when we checked in...worth it with the deal. If there is one downside to this resort it is food quality...not that the food is bad because it isn't; in fact breakfast and lunch either at the buffet or the grills, etc. was really good. It was the dinners for us, they just weren't "great". We tried every restaurant and the food was generally underwhelming. I admit that I'm maybe being a little more critical because of the price we paid for the vacation (and we are "foodies" although we eat pretty much anything) but I just want to help in managing expectations as we did feel a bit let down after our evening meals. All in all, a really nice resort; beautiful beaches and pools, great amenities and service, good to average food.

Secrets Royal Beach: AmaZing staff, clean resort, beautiful

The hotel itself was very clean, high end and modern rooms. The staff in my opinion was beyond amazing. Best customer service ever! Starting with Rudy (tamarindo), Juana (housekeeping) and Jorge (Buffet). These people gives the word “Customer Service” a new definition. Amazing people. The hotel invests so much in cleaning the pools, rooms, garden etc. The food is amazing, my wife and I didn’t get sick. It was quality food.
