Sol Turquesa Beach: Resort 3 stars

This was our second time to this resort . The resort was almost empty only 50 people. Staff are fantastic and friendly. Rooms was clean but TV not working, they coming fixing but not work at all. Afternoon no water in room. Food , no shortages but wasn't many option. The food menu was almost the same. All restaurant was closed. They push people for ala carte (Italian, International) but served the same food as the buffet. Entertainment was minimal and not interesting. Entertainment and C [... read more]uban band was the worst for my 15 years experience in Cuba. Beach beautiful but water is full of seaweed and full of rocks, impossible swimming of snorkeling. Lots of mosquito and bugs , they leave huge welts that itch so badly. OFF did not help. The resort need very good manager for fixing many problem, the resort was much better before covid. Now I am not recommended this hotel for my friends.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful property, lacks essential cleaning

Absolutely amazing property. Beach is a solid 10 out of 10. Pool is nice and kept very clean. Rooms are dated, but tidy, air conditioning just blows air around, room is very humid and musty smelling. Everything in the room including the sheets feel wet. It was a problem getting fresh towels. Buffet was well stocked and not short anything and area kept clean. 24 hour snack bar serves the essentials for a drunk visit or emergency Top Up, selection includes hotdog and fries, ham, sandwich and frie [... read more]s, spaghetti with ketchup on it. All common area bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, Not kept clean at all, most do not have toilet paper in them and some don’t even have running water. Seems like lots of staff looking after the grounds, keeping the pool, clean, etc. just nobody wants to look after those washrooms I guess. Some of the staff were very nice, some were pretty rude (lobby bar). We enjoyed our visit because we love the beach so much, but would think twice about returning just because of the smell and humidity in the rooms and the cleanliness of the common area washrooms.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus rio de oro

The resort is very nice nice Very clean one thing it needs more light for when going back to the hotel and more variety of liquor ? I been in Cuba 6 times this it was one of the best service was very good

Paradisus Varadero: Run down

As usual the beach was the only good thing about this resort -- the grounds are run down and it is very large so expect lots of walking. The description of the resort is not what you will experience - most restaurants and buffets are closed; there are no water sports or options for same. We paid extra for the "Reserve" area and it was not worth it - no extra amenities as listed. Our room was a very basic two double (not queen) beds and a pull out couch which was on the floor. We had no hot w [... read more]ater - not even warm for the first 4 days out of 7. Toilet paper is in short supply so bring your own. Nightly entertainment was usually just few dancers. It was a very quiet resort with basic services. I was expecting bad food but the food is absolutely horrendous with limited options and the same food for every meal. The only "snacks" available every day is french fries and a bun with cheese on it.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Wonderful time/great people

I really enjoyed by stay there, the people were amazing and the grounds were beautiful. The only down fall I found was that the patio furniture was metal and it was rusty and that could become a health hazard. I also thought that in the future they could maybe add a boardwalk from the beach snack bar to the beach area as a person with walking disabilities found it quite hard to manoeuvre.

Paradisus Varadero: Great Resort and Staff

The resort was good and the staff was great. They did what they could for us. The resort is showing wear and tear, but overall was very nice. The beach was the best in Varadero. However when booking, do not book this resort through Sunwing. Complete nightmare

Sol Palmeras: Perfect trip

First week of Feb 2025 at Sol Palmeras varadero Perfect trip it was for us and my son's family.We were in 2 bungalows ready on arrival 3 hours before check in. So it really start well. Our bungalow was perfect.Large living room with a separate bedroom and big washroom.Clean and no bugs. Strong hot shower.Two working air conditioning. In reviews people do no mention much about the bungalows but they are larger and much interesting than rooms at the hotel.But you have too walk much more.Ou [... read more]r was at the end of the resort which is about 7 to 10 minutes walk to the main hotel and that is why we did not gain weight. Food was good and a lot of diversity. Sunwing flight was perfect and on time. Trip central did a good job like usual.I did book many trips with tripcentral.ca on line without talking to anyone and everything was perfect.(i am not working for them) That beach at Sol Palmeras is fantastic. A few things were not right but it is the nature of travel. Remember to lower expectations because Cuba is not Aruba or Mexico. Hope everybody will have the same experience Dan

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful Resort

Well staffed with professionals that were attentive, friendly, and a lot of them spoke english very well. This resorts grounds where breath taking. The mature vegetation looked wild and natural (by design) while the other parts where manicured thoughtfully and lovingly by the many gardeners seen on grounds everyday cutting, clipping, pruning the many varieties of bushes, shrubs and trees, as well as collecting the falling coconuts daily to cut open and offer to guests. The beach is shared [... read more] with one other resort and at the Rio de oro end of the beach lay many coconut trees for shade and seemingly endless loungers, the sand is soft beautiful. Part of the beach offers some stone and coral that leads to a costal reef along the small cliff at the edge of the resort that is great for snorkeling or stay near the edge of the beach and play and view many sea creatures and fish in the tidal pools. To the left of the stone and coral is a smooth flat sandy shore line terrific for a dip or take a swim along the entire length of the beach. There are places throughout the resort to lounge with wonderful views as well a a small Garden, a Spa , three other small beaches one of which is very private. You will have no problem finding refreshments with a lobby bar, pool bar, swim up pool bar as well as a bar very near the Beach. There’s a large buffet, four El la carts and a snack bar open 24/7 which serves some good options if you miss the buffet (I liked the pizza) Throughout the day the lobby is relaxed and is a wonderful spot to have a snooze in a comfortable chair out of the direct sun whilst the wind blows through the vegetation around you creating a wonderful sense of peace, or take in your surroundings with friends and family, maybe challenge them to a game of pool on one of the two tables located in the lobby. At night you will find a live show and many guess gather to listen, watch , and take part in the singing and dancing. I loved this resort with its mature landscaping, well kept pool and stunning views of the shoreline and beach.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: February 2025

The resort:beautiful and very clean. The staff:very friendly. The food:average at the buffet, sports bar and beach bar. The a la cartes: average. You can't use any balcony due to rusty chairs. The sets on the balconies were all metal exposed to salt air and all of them were significantly rusting. There was no sitting outside in the evening and reading on the balcony that's for sure. If you got cut off the edge of anything let's hope your tetanus is up to date. All the balcony seating should [... read more] be replaced with resin plastic sets. Seating anywhere is very poor. The lobby cushions need to be replaced they flatten quickly. May not seem like a big deal ...but it becomes a big deal if you have bad knees. Beach and pool chairs: a lot of them are in poor condition with broken frames and torn fabric that need to be either replaced or fixed.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Amazing resort

Absolutely fantastic experience at Paradisus Los Cayos. If you're lucky enough to experience the Royal Service you're in for a treat. We had concierge service, Jahana and Yoana are amazing. They looked after our every need, booked our a la cartes and checked in with us everyday to ensure we were enjoying our stay. This was in the entire resort, not just in the Royal section. We made a special request to recognize a birthday and Elianis in costumer service went above and beyond. Beach bar is close, wait staff always going around to take drink orders, snack grill has good burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. You can snorkel right off the beach, go to the left by the rocks. Walk to the right, you can go a long way and there is a beautiful sandbar. Pool: Main pool is great, swim up bar, snack shack is right beside it, music playing, and entertainment is good. Bartender at swim up bar is fun and very nice. Food: Every meal was great. We didn’t expect the food to be that good in Cuba, absolutely incredible. Nobody goes to Cuba for the food, but our whole group was honestly surprised at how much variety there was and everything had so much flavour. Cappuccino’s are amazing. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend this resort. Don’t let negative reviews of Cuba stop you from visiting this beautiful resort. We never had power issues, we always had water, and there were no shortages of food, drinks or wine. We will definitely come back to this resort.

Melia Las Dunas: Amazing Resort for value

It's a very large resort, on one of the most beautiful beaches in the World. The Staff is friendly, they go beyond the call of duty to accommodate you. The Food was good. The grounds are beautiful The rooms are large and clean, I would highly recommend Judy (Massage Therapist in the Melia Spa. Melia Peninsula Varadero: The Cubans are the greatest, they all treat you like royalty.

The best deal we've ever gotten. Really lucky it wasn't crowded, no line ups, fast service and great food/drinks. Rooms are great, air conditioned, hot water, no bugs. Only problem was the exchange,,,, DO NOT EXCHANGE ANY MONEY FOR PESOS!!!!! The Can$ is worth 3 times on the street compared to the bank exchange rates!!! Only bring Canadian CASH, or US if you feel rich and want to pay for that exchange. They love getting a Can$5 bill as a tip. So bring plenty(50-100) of them. Melia Las Americas: Best trip ever!

Not only the staff were great, we made friends all over the world! Food was excellent, Beach amazing and guests were so mature and greeting! I'd go back in a heartbeat! The staff remembered our names and took care of us as royalty! I've never been so spoiled in my life. Thank you Melia!

Melia Costa Rey: Awesome Resort

This is a great resort! The entertainment crew were amazing! The lobby bar was amazing! The rooms were clean and spacious! The pool and beach were wonderful, just wish there was a little more shade in the pool area! I will definitely be back!

Melia Cayo Coco, Cuban trip was simply amazing. My husband and I would certainly give it a 5++ - the grounds, rooms, lobby, washrooms and buffet was extremely clean. - all 3 meals were very good with a large variety each day. - now, the staff-- they went over and beyond their duties!! with genuine kindness and love. It was always live, soft music with live, top quality entertainment such as violin, guitar and saxaphone music. This was even at the pool in the afternoon. - the beach was clean and they had a bbq. every day at noon. Lots of chairs and not crowded. - this was the best vacation we had been on in years. Sol Varadero Beach: Nice resort

The resort is small and easy to get around. The entertainment staff are very engaged and a lot of fun. The food was good by Cuba standards. Beach is beautiful. There are some great staff members as well.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Viva Cuba

We've been to Cuba a dozen times in the past 15 years, but were a little apprehensive this year with news of power and gas shortages, lack of basic essentials, and such. But this is a great little resort, very friendly and helpful staff, nice beach maybe 20-30 minute walk from end to end. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, it was ok and we didn't lack for anything. They say the resort has been renovated, but in Cuba style, a little paint here and there, but still a little tired... bed [... read more]s were comfy. There are quite a few stairs from the main hotel area (lobby/pool) to the beach 3-4 flights... so if you are a little weary of stairs and walking, you may find it difficult. If you love Cuba... you will love this place, if you need the extras of the Dominican or Mexico, don't come here... but for the price, it really is great! Big shout out to the staff!!!

Melia Internacional: Fantastic vacation!!

I had a fantastic vacation at this hotel, and found it receptive and hospitable from check-in to check out. Despite some negative comments I have read regarding the food, I found the food to be delicious, abundant, fresh, and there was always a variety. You couldn't ask for more. The staff was extremely polite, and I was always kindly greeted by Yilainy at the buffet. Although this hotel is rated 4.5 stars, I would give it 5+ stars. I look forward to going back some times soon.

Paradisus Varadero: Fantastic Vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation at Paradisus Varadero. The resort was lovely! I highly tec the spa!! Food was great, entertainment fun and staff outstanding! You can not beat the beach at this resort!! We would definitely return!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Beautiful resort
