A wonderful congenial, beautiful place to vacation in and the staff and clerks are excellent. This is a very warm atmosphere as is the surround neighbourhoods which are safe for ladies to travel in. I would recommend this to any woman without hesitation.

Brisas Sierra Mar: A wonderful and friendly atmosphere

This hotel is an older hotel but contains charm and most scenic from the hotel rooms. The food it fine and the staff are warm and very helpful. The gardens are second to none. You feel loved and cared for here. All hotels should have such a wonderful staff.

This trip was a dream. I felt as safe and taken care of as royalty. The staff and locals treated us so well and provided all luxuries. Good food, great weather, and a comfortable facility. I met people from all ages groups and family types. Everyone got along and created a magical space that felt genuine, real and separate from 'home'. Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Worst experience in Cuba

Wow...where do I start? From the time we arrived and had to wait for 5 hours for our room to be ready. When we got into the room we were greeted with no running water and a broken toilet. The management was very friendly and understanding but didn't fix the toilet for the entire stay of 7 days! We found alternative ways to manage..... The drinks were good! The beach and the weather was nice. The staff was friendly. The flight back was also slightly delayed. Overall, I am not going back even if you pay me!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Experience Cuba

Brisas Villa room- just what we needed to retreat to from the hot, Cuban sun!! Our room was well situated on the sprawling hotel complex. 2 members of our group reported Lost jewelry. However the Front Desk simply added our items to a "Lost Items" notebook, leaving us feeling our items would not be found, at least not during our remaining stay at the Hotel.

Brisas Sierra Mar: IT'S BEEN BETTER

IT NEEDS FIXING ON EVERY CORNER. BICYCLES ARE 5 YEARS OLD NOW, FOOD HAS BEEN MUCH BETTER IN THE PAST. THE REASON TO GO THERE IS THE SCENERY AND THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE. THERE USED TO BE MUCH MORE LIFE MUSIC, THEY CUT , CUT, CUT.

Brisas Sierra Mar: nice grounds, pool needs TLC, food needs steam tables

We spent 2 wks in Jan 2017, first week was terrible in room 310, no hot water or any water pressure in shower, then no air conditionning, then to top it off after 6 days, no water in the whole hotel, imagine the problems with toilets!!!! Second week was excellent as we changed rooms to 135, excellent water pressure in shower, on bottom floor, elevators worked perfectly, beach was nice, need more beach chairs as several are broken and the others are "reserved by repeats" so you have to go at 7a [... read more]m to get a spot! Now food was better at beach restaurant, fresh lettuce from hotel garden, very good soup and fresh fish cooked while you wait, yum! In hotel restaurant, the tables where the warm food was set out never was hot so food not very hot. Problem for food poisoning! Lack of fruits and vegetables (canned available) We bought bananas and tangerines from locals on beach! Would I return maybe for 1 week for the excellent temperature!

Brisas Santa Lucia: Good resort

The employees were amazing, the food was pretty good for Cuba and we loved the excursions and the beaches and pool, the beds were not very comfy but it might of just been ours and it was hard to shower without the water changing temp while you were in it. All in all we had a great time for the money spent.

If you are looking for a budget beach vacation with wonderful friendly people, basic but spotless rooms, and good plain food, this resort fits the bill. It is located in a quiet corner of Cuba. A few after hours clubs to party if this is your thing, but basically a place to chill out, and enjoy the sun. Very popular with families.

Brisas Sierra Mar: 25th visit

The grounds and structure of this Hotel are amazing. The Staff and returnees are the reason we go back every year. The hotel is going downhill every year. This year we were 2 days without hot water and our air conditioning was out for 3 days.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Beautiful area of Cuba

The hotel is old and run down, but clean. The staff are fantastic. Everything worked fine. Very average Cuban resort experience. The area this resort is in is just gorgeous. Had hot water all but one day, which is good for Cuba. The pool and beach were both relaxing and swimmable.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Great Family Resort

This was my 16th visit to Brisas Santa Lucia. To say the staff and the resort is great is being modest. The food was good and plenty of variety ... the staff are pleasant, friendly and always remember a face. The resort is well groomed and clean. The room always had hot water and a/c. The celebrations on Christmas Eve and New Years were superb. Brisas Sierra Mar: Place to go back to

My husband and I went back to Brisas several times and likely will go back again. This year there were renovations on the grounds, and nevertheless we did not feel we lacked anything. The food was tasty and healthy; the lobby provided enough place for people to sit and enjoy, particularly the evening musical entertainments. The wether was splendid all the time. All personnel at the resort is professional and helpful: we always have a feeling to coming back to friends and family.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Renewal of Friendships

over 80% of guests from Sierra Mar are repeaters and go there year after year. We have tried resorts all over Cuba. We always return to Sierra Mar. It's not the best food but other factors more than compensate for this. You will never starve either. One good factor is you don't put on weight after a two week holiday. We have never gotten ill on the food nor has there been a meal where we could not find something I liked to eat. I do suggest using OFF or another bug spray as, after all, it is the tropics, but the problem is not annoying; it's just being careful. There is even a library with books in 4 different languages that guests stock up after they have finished with a book! And it's free. In twenty years of going to Sierra Mar I have NEVER had anything stolen. Management takes the safety and security of its guests uppermost. If there is a complaint, it is acted on immediately. This is one reason why 80% of guests return year after year. There are people of all economic levels at the resort. If you want to show off, this is not the place for you. If you want to meet a lovely staff who treat you like family and you want to have a relaxing vacation with excellent warm weather and friendly people , come join the Sierra Mar family.

The view from the resort is spectacular. The dive team are great, so helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my relaxing stay. The food is average Cuban fare. Some recent upgrades were visible. Lots of repeat guests.

Brisas Guardalavaca: This Resort has it all!

My Husband and I have been to Cuba 23 times in the past 13 years. We have stayed in different Resorts from one end of Cuba to the other ie Varadero,, Cayo Coco,and Camaguey to name a few,but, Holguin won us over. We tried a few other Hotels in Holguin until a Friend suggested we try Brisas Guardalavaca. Best advice ever! We just returned this week from our 8th visit there and will return again on March 3 rd. The Hotel is admitedly tired, but, clean. You have to look beyond that as most Hotels need updating frequently due to the many Tourists and the impact the sun and weather has on the Buildings. We always stay in the Villa section of the Brisas ,as it is quieter, has it's own Pool and Restaurant and is away from the maddening Crowd at the Hotel. There are 5 A La Carte Restaurants which are all exc. Our Favorite. is the Seafood Restaurant where the Lobster is to die for and you are entertained by the Musicians that serve you. Several Waiters are professional Singers and sing while you eat as well as serve you. There is a Buffet in the Hotel lobby that serves exc. food and there is entertainment from 6:30- 8:30 p.m.in that Lobby each night, which could give Toronto Competition!. The Talent we have seen there each night is top of the line! There is also nightly Entertainment on a Stage outside which is decent. There are horse and buggys parked in front of the Hotel which will take you to a Fishing Village, Market, Local Farm or the Village of Guardalavaca for a few Pesos. You can walk along the Shore to a Flea Market 15 min away. The Beach is as good as it gets and no sand fleas to bite you! I can't say enough about this Resort and wonder why it isn't rated higher. We have stayed in a couple of 5* Hotels and this has them beat. The friendly Staff has no qualms about relocating you to another Room if you are not happy with your accomodation. I hesitate to brag about this place as I want to keep it a secret, but, the more the merrier.
