Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Decent Stay

Not a bad place depending on what your looking for. Beach was nice a bit rocky however. We chose the vip master junior ocean view suite adult only our ocean view was ground level and partial. Room was decent a bit dated parts nothing some fresh paint couldn’t fix. Food was very repetitive and not the best. I would say 75% don’t speak English and their was a lack of communication throughout our stay so you kind of have to figure things out on your own. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great Christmas idea for the family

This was our first time staying at a Grand Bahia Principe Resort and first time in La Romana. This hotel chain is well staffed with friendly people and beautiful accommodations for the price point. The grounds were immaculately appointed and maintained. Well worth it for families with great amenities, shops, pools and restaurants. This vacation was booked via Air Canada through Trip Central and we are all very satisfied. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great time at the resort!

The grounds were beautifully kept. The staff were always smiling and able to assist us with whatever we needed. Our rooms were immaculate and well-cleaned. It was a wonderful relaxing stay. The espresso/cappuccino machine in the main lobby was self serve 24/7! Best idea ever! A special shout-out to Christina the girl at the towel booth. She was a wonderful asset to the resort. Smiling and kind.

Upon arrival it looked amazing although we had a problem from the start. I did inform you about my daughter's health issues our room was on the 3rd floor walkup, we had to wait in the lobby for over an hour to get a ground floor room. My daughter had to travel in a wheel chair and was on oxygen, it was an exhausting day. We were to see a Transat representative the next day but due to the first day we could not make it my daughter was tooo sick. When we went to see the rep. he was rude and very nasty told us to figure out ourselves any information about leaving etc. We tried to explain what happened he said he did not care. Only because of Lisa our butler did I have second thoughts.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Top nutch

We went for the first time at a Dreams resort and we were not disappointed Beautiful, luxury hotel, beautiful large rooms, comfy beds and tons of pillows 😊 Food was good , fun staff going out of their way to assist you. Drinks not watered down , real thing 😜 Nice beach , clear water could see the 🐠 Did an excursion saona island, fun & well organized, stunning site We are planning to return in May 😊🏝 Recommend it !

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Relaxing resort.

We found the resort very clean, well landscaped and welcoming. Food offered was varied and different themes dictated the menu each day. Rooms were well organized and clean. Housekeeping staff was excellent and aimed to please. We booked the Royal Golden package and found this was unnecessary. Alcohol choices were the same for all guests and there were “premium” brands available at an extra cost. Evening entertainment resembled most other Dominican resorts except the one evening the Acrobatics act was excellent. Although the resort was not crowded, we still found it necessary to towel our beach chairs early in the morning to ensure a shaded location. This was probably the most disappointing aspect of our two weeks. Despite the signs posted on the palapa, we found it necessary to save a spot and staff did not enforce the “no saving” of chairs. Disappointing. Also the beach was heavily used by guests of the sister resort, the Bouginville, although we were told we could not use their beach. Again, simple enforcement of rules would eleviate problems. Regarding the specialty restaurants, nothing special and the Asian was, by far, the most disappointing. Not an Asian menu and extremely slow service combined with incorrect orders made it a memorable evening. We would return booking the regular package and possibly 10 days rather than 14.

Check-in was fast and well organized. Staff was informative and helpful, escorting us to our room and bringing luggage. Rooms are large and the room service staff do a good job with cleaning and turn-down. Bathrooms are nice, but lack the finish and trim of a 5 star resort. Showers are good size and water pressure is good. Food is average resort fare, with good variety. Service seemed hit-and-miss. There are a few really good servers in the main dining room. A la carte restaurants are not 5 s [... read more]tar except for Don Pablo. Gym is ok. No treadmills which seemed strange. Spa staff is great, and the relaxation massage was really nice. Pools are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Choice of quiet or party pool is nice. Very sparse drink service at the pools. You will have to get up and go get your drink. Keep in mind the resort is a 1.5hr bus ride from PUJ airport.

A very attractive and clean hotel, with lovely rooms (we had a premium room), staff was helpful when we needed a wheelchair for my husband. Only suggestion - more golf carts needed for transport around the resort. Family accommodation was across the street, far from the beach which might have been difficult with young children.

Great vacation, we had a good time. The food was good and so was the service. It was relaxing and enjoyable. Only down point, it was our honeymoon and although we requested a little something special we didn't get anything.

Nice resort good value for your money. A la cart dinners excellent, buffet good with lots of variety. Room clean. We had a lot of power outages which was a nuisance. Staff pleasant..not all staff could speak English.

The resort and the grounds are beautifully kept. The staff is friendly and make you feel special. Lots of choices to eat. Loved the adults side. The Italian restaurant was my favorite place to eat. The Michael Jackson show a must see. Fantastic show. I will stay in a Bahia resort again.

This resort was a five star resort all the way. The rooms were spotless, the floors were shining. The service was spectacular. The pools were very clean. The beach was very nice no kelp to deal with, sand was soft on the feet. The restaurants had excellent food choices. Our Buffets had plenty of food choices, no need for anyone to say they are still hungry after leaving there. AMAZING PLACE.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: A must!

This resort was absolutely beautiful, the people are extremely genuine, funny and just overall amazing. The rooms were huge and they come with perks such as choosing a scent for your room, extra pillows for different parts of the body. 24hr room service, many delicious A la Carte restaurants. The buffet was always delicious and they had a lot of variety to choose from. Whala Bayahibe: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful grounds,great food,large clean rooms and plenty of pleasant and helpful staff was found at this resort. One of the staff members named Lappost,who worked at the buffet,was very efficient and made eating there a very pleasurable experience.

Whala Bayahibe: Awesome memories

Whala Bayahibe is one of the best hotel we ever been. Food staff rooms was actually excellent. The swiming pools awesome.Everything was very clean. Everyday really good enertainment. We really can't say a bad word.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The grounds were very clean beautifully kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Our room very lovely & spacious. We were very satisfied with our vacation. The only thing we found was the toilet paper in our room was sented, which caused issues if you have sensitive skin. Our butler was able to assist and found another product for us to use. Very pleased.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Excellente

The resort has more depth than width. It was much smaller than the Dreams La Romana. It was ‘compact’ but adequate. All the amenities were closer to the beach area; the Coco lounge (24 hrs) provided soup, sandwiches, deserts and a variety of coffee and tea. There were four a la cartes and the food was very good. The buffet was good but lacked a bit in variety. Overall, the staff was very friendly and courteous. There were two main pool areas, one quieter than the other which had the activiti [... read more]es and swim up bar. We had preferred status so we had access to another restaurant for breakfast and lunch plus separate area on the beach for relaxing and bar and food service. I would recommend paying extra for preferred status. Across the road from the main lobby was the preferred area with access to snacks, drinks and internet and pool with jacuzzi and a kids pool. This area is furthest from the beach, so if you want to be close to all the other amenities get a room in building 60 and up.

Dreams La Romana: Good place to unwind!

The premises are very nice. The beach and ocean are the best. The pool area was pretty good as well. The food was good but the service was a bit lacking, it could be improved at the restaurants. The room was nice, clean but a bit dated. The music was redundant, I could have used a bit of variety! Overall a great place to relax.
