Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Amazing honeymoon!

Amazing honeymoon vacation with my husband! Juon was an amazing butler as we stayed in The Level he helped with everything we needed - highly recommended to upgrade! All service was amazing and everyone was very kind. Clean modern resort and the food was excellent as we are both vegan we found lots of options both a la carte and buffet style. The resort has many wellness activities like aerial yoga and beach meditation and Zumba - at night we always had an event to see at the main lobbies, we enjoyed the shows and the silent disco! Melia Braco Village: Great Vacation!

My partner and I recently came back from a one week stay at this resort and overall had a fantastic vacation! Pros: We really enjoyed that the resort was smaller; the buildings and scenery were beautiful and the grounds were extremely well kept. I loved that it was intimate and short walking distance to any spot on the resort. The rooms were large and very beautiful and also very clean (we stayed in a premium garden view room). The beach area was gorgeous and pristine; the water was crystal clear and sand was white and clean as they cleaned any seaweed right away. The perk about a small resort is that we never had to worry about not getting a chair or a good spot on the beach. We always got the same great spot. Drinks at the bar were great. Overall good was pretty tasty and there was always a pretty fair selection at the buffet. The a la cart restaurants were also good. I was impressed with the nightly entertainment and really enjoyed every night! Definitely much better than any resort I’ve been on. Cons: The main reason we chose Jamaica was for two reasons 1) the food 2) the amazing people. I have been to Jamaica before and raved about it to my partner who had never been. Unfortunately these are the two areas which disappointed the most. We are a very easy going couple so we still had a great time and didn’t allow anything to influence our overall experience but the feedback is worth noting. In terms of the food, it is quite limited. Breakfast buffet is standard but for lunch and the duration of the day, the only food option is again, the buffet. While the buffet offers variety, it can get very repetitive and boring. It surprised me that there was no additional option such as a pizza place, snack bar, or jerk hut; it would have been nice to have some options where we could order and eat by the beach. Which leads to one of my biggest complaints; the jerk hut was not operating for the entire duration of our trip. We inquired every day about it and got conflicting answers and were given false hope each time until someone was finally honest with us and said it is not operating due to low occupancy of the hotel. This was extremely disappointing and pretty shocking since jerk chicken is a major reason travellers love Jamaica yet there was no jerk chicken to be found the ENTIRE week we were there!!! Given that this was the ONLY thing my partner was hoping for on the trip, this was a great disappointment. I would really recommend they incorporate more jerk chicken options because there truly were not any authentic ones. The only authentic jerk chicken was on our final night during the “Jamaican street party” where they brought the jerk hut out and it was absolutely delicious; such a shame we went the whole week without it. Again, the food available was delicious but we just missed out on the main items of interest. Room service was convenient however usually arrived incorrect one way or another but this wasn’t a big deal for us. The staff at the hotel were also not very friendly. We encountered some very rude staff members who appeared miserable, did not greet us, or when I initiated a greeting, they did not respond or seemed disinterested. There was no real customer service provided and I definitely did not experience anyone go above and beyond the bare minimum. There were some lovely staff members who made up for it, but again, nothing over and above - more so just the general customer service I would expect. I was really hoping for more since my passed two times in Jamaica I had the most positive amazing experience with the people and it’s a shame my partner wasn’t able to have the same experience as I have. The overall vacation was lovely and we had a great time, the pitfalls just happened to be two of the most important factors for us when it comes to a vacation. Perhaps this was a coincidence due to us travelling during off season. I would still recommend this hotel! Great for couples, great hotel and great beach!

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Big Resort

Large resort takes abit to find everything. We booked at adult side so no kids and had to do morning buffets at family side and some dinners which was very disappointing as we booked a adults only resort. Water was dirty at beach and wouldn't go in the ocean. No agenda given to you on day and nightly activities. And again night shows were on the family side. Our room was nice.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Beautiful resort

I liked in this resort the rooms and service. The pools are very beautiful.on the beach some days was a lot seaweed. The resort is very good for families and has a lot of programs for children. There is also a beautiful pool and water park for children.

Just returned from this resort. This resort is beautiful, food for the most part was good. I felt the resort lacked entertainment around the pool they only had paddle board balance exercises and a foam party. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked great. I knew this was a big resort going in but They really need more carts running between the lobby and the beach. This was a problem because all the restaurants were in the lobby’s. But this resort was worth the visit

Just returned from a fabulous relaxing vaca at adults only The Level Melia Punta Cana. Highly recommend this resort ! Beach was great, soft white sand and we enjoyed all the food at alacarte Quimera restaurant for Level guests. Excellent service ! The Asian and Italian were also nice. Top choice liquors and fabulous drinks by bartenders. Rooms were nice, well equipped and comfy beds. What's not to enjoy ! We will definitely return.

It is a great resort especially if you are going with kids. The staffs are really friendly and you have a lot of restaurants to try. The entertainment was great and fun. I will definitely recommend the resort to a family.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Fantastic Resort - Amazing Vacation Spot

My fiancé and I stayed at Paradisus La Perla - Royal Service from August 10-17, 2019. We had an absolutely amazing vacation at Paradisus and I am happy to provide a review. It was a wonderfully romantic resort and we actually got engaged during our stay!! Hotel grounds - Modern decor, exceptionally clean, outstanding suites. I actually [... read more] fell asleep in the lobby one evening on the mattress couches! Butler - Royal Service - Included with our Royal Service stay was A Butler. We had Alejandro as our Butler who was kind, friendly, professional, and thoughtful. Alejandro messaged us every morning to let us know that he was “at our service”. Alejandro provided us with amazing surprises such as beautifully drawn baths with rose petals, chocolate with notes, etc. He also promptly changed any bookings we needed and provided insight on the best spots to be on the resort. Pools - With the Royal Service, we had access to the private pool. The pool was quiet and relaxing with a swim up bar and surrounded by cabanas. We are more introverted people and really enjoyed a quieter pool for relaxing. Pool boys served juice, popsicles, and cold towels all day. We often set up a cabana bed for some shade time and to sleep! Staff - all staff were exceptional, especially the pool boys (Daniel and Elias) and waiters at La Palapa restaurant (polite, prompt, very friendly). Food - AMAZING. My fiancé and I are huge food fanatics and we loved every restaurant!!!!! Food was fresh, modern, high class, and delicious. Our favourite restaurant was La Palapa - we loved eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner there! Overall - We loved staying at Paradisus and would highly recommend for an amazing 5 star getaway. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Disappointing

The hotel it's self is very clean. The food is sub standard, always cold. The only hot item I got was an omelette daily, even the soup was lukewarm. The transportation from the rooms to the main areas was golf carts. Sometimes it took 30 minutes to get a ride to lunch. It was very spaced out and no cover to walk if it rained. We have stayed at two other resorts close by and they had covered walkways in the event of rain. It was very unorganized. There was very little activities, no music no interaction with staff at all. The liquor was only native to the Dominican Republic. There was no premium except at the casino you could get a crown royal for $5.00. Our room was beautiful, spacious and extremely clean. Again the seaweed was out of control and the ocean was not really accessible which is a huge problem for Punta Cana in general. It was not worth the money and I would never go back there.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great Trip

Third trip to this resort , food and service was great . New rule in place that no alcohol till 11am and most bars stop serving at 11pm . One concern was that the resort allowed some families with teenagers in the adult only section and although they had bracelets to prevent them from drinking they should not be allowed in the areas that we paid a premium to be in. The teenagers tried to throw balls around and play their music in an area where they should not be allowed , the staff did make the [... read more]m stop but it should never have happened . It seemed to me that the resort made these exceptions for the revenue but will probably cost more in the end when guest do not return ?

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Wonderful vacation!

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous week in July 2019 at the Melia Punta Cana in The Level adults only section. The resort is gorgeous, staff was very friendly, beach is beautiful with soft white sand, and the food was good. The yoga on the beach looking out over the ocean was fantastic. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Not terrible but not great..

The hotel grounds, rooms and restaurants were gorgeous. It really feels like a luxurious resort. The buffet food was very hit or miss. The staff weren’t friendly at all. They only talked to you when they wanted to sell you something. There weren’t many activities to do during the day so the days seemed rather long. The beach was filled with seaweed along the shoreline which was very upsetting. The pool and splash pad was nice. The nightly shows were also hit or miss. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Good Family Resort

For a family with small children it was a good resort. First the pros. The newly built splash pad was definetely the highlight. Perfect for all ages. Very clean. The restaurant grill was very good. The kids club hosted a themed party every day at 3pm. The girls were very friendly and had great energy. The family side beachside room was spacious. It was nice to have the bunk beds. The hospitality was poor. The workers were not friendly and would not acknowledge you in a restaurant or anywhere else. Many of them looked miserable. Poor service. Would be waiting half hour for water or utensils. Second, the food was good at best. The french fries and hamburgers were ok. No pizza to be found. The best restaurant for our family was Mexican. Italian was great but adults only.Looked like allot of leftovers from previous day. Nightly entertainment was poor. The entertainment board was wrong. Evening shows were supposed to begin at 6 but did not start until 9. And by entertainment you are listening to a small band playing music. Be aware of time share schemes. Was called one morning and was told we had a VIP breakfast. 3 hours later....dont fall for it. Lots of seaweed on the beach and constant heckling of buying items. Overall it was a good resort but would not return again.

Meliá cribe was nice and pretty food was good , entertaining was cute . The only concern !!!! Somebody calls us and comes to our room to take us to somewhere called paradise and sales people were so pushy and took our time for our day to sell something very expensive called membership, so disrespectful to our precious time . Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort!

Loved the restaurants and the vibe of the whole resort! Only complaint would be that it’s so big. We ate mostly at the buffet with the gorgeous ocean view. Loved the room, so clean! Pool was amazing as well!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Not a very good resort.

The ocean, beach sand and water are spectacular. However, the Melia resort a huge let down. Maybe a 3 star. Very very small and really no amenities for kids. Outdated rooms with bare minimum items, no toiletries or 2 towels. No hot water for the first 2 days, you can barely read the H or C for hot or cold water. Only 3-4 restaurants on site which you need to stand in line every morning to make reservations. And if you get in by the time it’s your turn. How is that possible in 2019. With no cinnamon, honey or walnuts to ask for every morning, at a resort to not have such basic everyday items. How bizarre? I could go on because the list is that long. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Resort look very nice

Services is bad thou. House keeping and restaurants service are slow. The golf cart drivers that take you from lobby to resturant are lazy. They saw you walking but they don't stop to offer a ride even the golf cart is empty. The Resort itself is very nice.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Perfect!

La Perla was clean, picturesque and filled with intoxicating aromas! Royal service was well worth the additional cost, and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Food, drinks, atmosphere and staff were amazing!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful Resort with guest concerns though.

First I would like to say that the Melia Punta Cana Resort was beautiful! The staff were welcoming, kind and overall my impression was very good. However, there were some areas of concern. On my first morning at breakfast I was served a coffee at the Rumba buffet, that was totally not okay. Black chunks of “whatever” were floating in the coffee. I was able to remove some of the chunks using a fork. At a table close by I noticed a woman dipping a knife in her cup to remove these terrib [... read more]le chunks. Needless, to say I asked for a manage, who apologized, but I was a bit concerned to drink coffee from here on in. Also, I found the food continually under cooked at each meal at the buffet. If the food was improved immensely I would not have as big an issue with wanting to stay at this resort. Please note I have been sick with diarrhea and stomach cramps from my first day at the resort. Diarrhea has continued (day 10 for me now, and have needed to call my doctor for advise as to what to do.) Another area of concern was my room at the resort. On the first morning after I awoke, I noticed the sliding door was ajar. The frame was bent on the outside and the door lock was also bent preventing the door from shutting/locking. The door looked like someone tried to pry the door open from the outside. This should have been noticed by the cleaning staff and repaired prior to my staying in the room. Also, the toilet in the room had to be flushed at least twice if not three times after each use. I was constantly worried about the toilet flooding. (My neighbour woke me at 2:00 a.m. one morning due to her toilet flooding over and she had no telephone service the five days stayed at the hotel.) On arrival, blood was also noticeable on my daughters pillow case which was totally unacceptable. This was the only time I had to notify hotel reception twice to have the problem remedied. Lastly, upon arrival in my room, I needed to request for my room to be cleaned better, since there was food on the floor under the dresser and couch area left from previous guest. Follow-up by hotel staff regarding any complaints or issues was dealt with promptly and courteously. I tried my best to overlook these areas of concern, but wanted to provide an honest opinion about my stay at the resort.
