Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful Resort...

First off, let me start by saying that the staff at the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica are some of the most welcoming, friendly, amazing people in Jamaica! Special recognition goes to Diana Lewis Orene (front desk) and the bartenders , our Housekeeper, for making us feel very welcome, always stopping to have a conversation and see how we were doing (and remembering our names - nice touch!) - and Sheniqua the waitress on the privilege bar she was fantastic. We were located in the 23712 .. All I can say what a beautiful view.. OMG .. breathtaking … . Great location – The grounds and facility is spotless… The le crates where good as well nice mixture…Even though the resort is big , it was beautiful lots to walk around and see. The beach on that side was amazing, plenty of shade, great sand and clear water, which is only about 5ft deep for a good 60-80m out, thanks to a rock wall out in the distance to break the surf up. The bars were easily accessible, and there were plenty of sun loungers available on the beach. I have to say the workers are very hard working employees. I hope the management recognizes just how hard they work because without them our stay would have been as enjoyable.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Excellent Family Resort

I have only good things to say about this resort. The grounds are well kept. The food is great. We loved the Jerk Hut! We also enjoyed all of the a la carte restaurants. There are many activities for all ages. We enjoyed snorkeling around the island. I will come back to this resort for certain!

Sandals Dunn's River: Jewel Dunns River a real Gem!

If you're looking for a 5 Star resort experience on a smaller property-sized scale, look no further! Jewel Dunns River offers all the ammenities/recreation and comforts you'd expect on a tropical beach-front resort. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpfull. The grounds and facilities were constantly being cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The quality and availability of food was excellent! Poolside and beach seating was plentiful. No complaints here!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Jamaic

Great atmosphere, clean well maintained resort, attentive staff, love lifeguard at pool and beach. Spa was a nice amenity. Lots of variety at the buffet gym was decent nice feature to have access to the sister resort

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beatiful grounds and beaches

Hotel was beautiful , beaches are the nicest we've seen. Service at bars and checkout was lacking. Housekeeping was great. Not overly friendly like Dominican. Often ran out of drinks or just didn't want to make them if they required work ie blender. Really hard to get basic things like coffee. I would go back to Jamaica but not this resort

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Excellent holiday

I was there last year and this year and will be going back next year. Awesome place everyone there are so friendly and the food is excellent. We had a manager night special which was cocktails followed by a 6 course meal.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Decameron was great

Facility and grounds were well kept and clean. Rooms were spotless, staff were friendly and accommodating. Beach at the North end of the property was safe, clean, no probs getting a lounger. Pools were well kept and clean. Wifi is available only in the lobby, $5 per hour or $25 for the week. Everything is priced in US $s so take them. Trips can add up for that reason, Shopping is good outside the property, but get ready to be hassled big time. Everyone wants to sell you weed. Forgot, we found the food to be very good, no problems, you can get burgers etc near the beach. Drinks were excellent, very generous. Security at this location was very tight and reassuring. Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Runaway Bay Resort

This hotel is one of the best for food, beaches, and most of all the people who work there, especially when they remember you from last year. Such amazing people who work there. Our room was done every day with fail, and the women that cleaned our room she made sure we had everything we needed. Jamaican people are one of the most respected people in my book.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Best resort!!!!

This hotel was AMAZING!!! We were upgraded to the luxury part but still spent most of our time in the regular part with no issues. Beautiful beach. Beautiful people. Service was impeccable. We had our wedding there and honestly couldn't have gotten better service.

Grand Pineapple Beach: Absolute Heaven!

Return visit. Just perfect for chillin' or meeting new friends - your choice. The resort is bubbling with keen and friendly staff that make you feel sooo welcome! The beach is absolutely a piece of heaven, like an ocean pool or spa. Want to extend your day? Try the pool. No one is ever there and it's always waiting for a nighttime dip. The garden cottages are near the pool and the vegetation, and mornings on the deck, watching the peacocks is like something out of a dream. Samsara Cliff Hotel: Scenery

A little bonus about this resort, is that it seems to naturally an adults resort as it is set on the ciffs not the beach. I loved the area and the cliffs. Take a cataraman asd see the coast from sea ! You can sorkel along the coast ffrom the hotel. The snorkel trip was great too, better snorkeling on the trp There is a free shuttle to Legends wereh there is a beach. Lovely spot, better resaturant than Samsara. Food is expensive in this area though. Very nice instead of a beach resort for a change.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent resort!

This was my 4th visit to this resort in the last 5 years. The last 2 times we have stayed for 10 days and we are thinking about making it 2 weeks next year. The hotel grounds and beach are kept in excellent shape. Staff are friendly. Plenty of security present but resort is self contained making it difficult for any unwanted visitors.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing overall resort!

This resort has it all, wonderful people so friendly. As well great food with many different restaurant choices.Fabulous surroundings with spacious/beautiful rooms. You can pamper youself in many different ways at this resort. Would go back in a heartbeat. Loved it!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Don Pablo never fails to impress!!

This was our third stay at a Bahia Principe and our first trip to Jamaica. Everything was perfect, the room, the staff, the food, pool and beach access were all amazing. We attended a wedding which was also wonderful even though it rained the staff quickly moved the service indoors. Highly recommended to visit bahia principe jamaica.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Loved it

Great hotel and value for the price. Loved the food and the rooms. The beach close to the nudist beach is the nicest. The other beach were the activities are is not as nice because it is smaller and the bottom is rough on feet when u enter water. My only negative comment is that the bars often run out of rhum! We are in Jamaica so how can they run out of rhum. This happened daily at the pool bar they had beer but I didn't want beer. Dreams Rose Hall: Great outdoor space!!

Hilton Rose Hall is an older hotel and it shows in the rooms. Common areas are updated and clean and outdoor spaces for families are amazing. Service was very good. Staff were attentive. The value for the spend is there but it would be great if the rooms were renovated and not just patched up.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Wonderful hotel

Travelled for our 25th wedding anniversary the first week of May...highly recommend this Iberostar...we had been to the Iberostar in the Mayan and hoped this one was equal to that and it was( perhaps a little better ) the only thing we would have liked to see is more professional entertainment in the evenings( even though the staff was working as hard as they could to entertain and encourage the tourists to participate)

Jewel Paradise Cove: Not worth the $$$$

Very small beach ...no liquor in room ...food was ok ..staff was nice .. No smoking on balcony or on beach only designated areas !! Buffet was not air conditioned very hot & birds flying around will you eat

Sandals Dunn's River: Amazing resort!

This resort was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed the fact that it was a smaller resort and you really got to know everyone. The staff is amazing and incredibly friendly. I can't wait to go back to this resort. The only negative was that it was far from the airport, but if you don't mind the drive/scenery of Jamaica, then I would highly recommend you try Jewel Dunn's River Resort.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Absolutely Amazing Resort and Beautiful Wedding!!

The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is an awesome resort!! I was the bride in a group of 41 people that attended the resort from April 23-30, 2016 for our wedding. I did so much research prior to picking this resort, and I was not disappointed with my choice at all!! Our group ranged in ages from 3 to 75 and this resort literally had something for everyone. All of the rooms have balconies, and there pretty much isn’t a bad view from any of them. Being the Bride and Groom, we had booked for a 1 Bedroom Suite and they gave us a room with gorgeous ocean views from BOTH balconies, that’s right, our room had two balconies!! It also had two large flat screen TVs and a great bathroom complete with Jacuzzi tub and rain shower head. The air conditioning and ceiling fans also worked great, and they were very much needed as it was unseasonably HOT while we were there. All of the staff were even saying how hot it was and that it felt like their summer heat. We were blessed with perfect weather, nothing but sunshine and blue skies the whole time we were in Jamaica!! This is a huge resort and the first couple of days I was frustrated because I felt like I didn’t know where my entire group was staying and where everything was, but once we had our bearings, it was awesome. It felt like the more you walked around the resort, the more you would discover different gems and ‘feels’ within the resort. The main pool was huge and always happening, but you could go to the adult pool or beach for a more relaxed feel, or keep travelling to the furthest beach at Sunset Cove and discover snorkeling and some AMAZING jerk chicken. TIP: If you are travelling with a large group, when everybody checks in, write down their room numbers!! Trust me on this one, you will most likely be separated in to different villas and you will never remember their rooms otherwise. The food was amazing!! And again, there was something for everyone. The buffets had great selection and the restaurants were pretty authentic. The Poseidon (Seafood) and the Italian were our favorites. The Sports Bar literally had the best selection of 24 hour food available that we had ever encountered on vacation. You could literally show up at any time and get fresh food made to order, or ready to go at the buffet. Yes, it’s true about the a la carte restaurants, if you don’t get there right when they open then you will be waiting for over an hour most likely. This happened to us a couple of times during the beginning of the week, but we got smart by the end of the week! The bars and drinks were great too!! You could get any and all of the typical vacation drinks (pina coladas, margaritas etc) but if you trusted the bartenders, they would make you some awesome concoctions!! I did wish that they would keep the Sports Bar open longer for liquor, after a certain time they would only serve beer and you had to get the fun drinks at the disco or casino. I know that this was to keep people moving and trying out other bars within the resort, but the Sports Bar was our favorite spot and some nights we just wanted to keep drinking and hanging out there! I was impressed with the casino at the resort; it was tiny but had a decent selection of machines to play. They were all older but still one of the better casinos I’ve seen in the Caribbean. As for entertainment, there was always something going on, whether it was a show or a band or the disco, but we always found ourselves going for nightly dips in the pool since it was just so hot, even at night. It was awesome to be able to do that, as I know a lot of resorts don’t allow that. Our nightly swims are part of my favorite memories from our trip!! The Wedding Coordinators and specifically mine (Thorna-Ann) were just amazing and they work so hard! It can be stressful planning a wedding over email but they really help you along the way and are so patient with questions and concerns. This resort has the most beautiful, picturesque spot for weddings, at their “Garden Gazebo”. It’s literally on a Cliffside with a gorgeous ocean view and it’s nice and private. Overall, I can say that every one of the 41 people in our group had an absolute blast and fell in love with this resort and Jamaica!! My husband and I will return for an anniversary trip in the future for sure!!
