Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Vacation

Unfortunately there was an issue at Sol so the Melia group of hotels upgraded us to Las Dunas. The service was friendly, the resort was well maintained. We would definitely return to Las Dunas again!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful vacation

This resort its good for families with children. This was our fourth stay in this resort. We love it very much its a amazing place amazing beaches and as always stuff is wonderful.We come to this resort for relax. Cant wait to go back again.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Another Fantastic 9th Return Stay

We have stayed at the Playa Cayo for our 9th week and the hotel and staff still make us feel at home, just like your visiting Family. Thanks to Raul and Mareyi for the wonderful accomidations and relaxing atmosphere. Melia Las Dunas: Good resort to stay

Ground/Landscaping is excellent, Food is good, except the Oriental A la Catre, Beach is beautiful, Front desk tried to accommodate client with their best effort, excellent! All about this resort, but the Cubana Airline was a bit scary when we landing to Toronto on Jun 11, 2016.

Melia Las Dunas: Amazing Trip

It was my second time at the Melia Las Dunas, I'm so happy we chose to go back. From check in (which was fast and easy) to check out, everything was perfect. The lobby is beautiful, the bar had an excellent choice, and the staff, well, amazing as usual. The beach was so beautiful, you can walk for ever and it's clean, safe and at times breathtaking. The relax pool is just that, relaxing, clean, and quiet. Again excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfy. Buffet, restaurants by the pool and the lobby and specialty restaurants were all very good. I would go back there again, well worth the drive from the airport!

Melia Las Dunas: Awesome Resort !

We stayed at the Melia Las Dunas from May 2nd to 9th, 2016 with family of three. That was our first trip to Cuba and it was such a positive experience. We arrived in the late evening but the check-in process was very smooth. The beach was gorgeous, crystal clear blue and white sand. Out of the 7 days, we had one morning of rain but it did not bother us because we were able to enjoy the vacation differently. I enjoyed having meals in the buffet restaurant as it offered reasonable selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In particular, I love the omelettes and fresh mangoes for breakfast. The fried fish and shrimps were my wife’s favorite. We reserved the A la cartes the next day and picked Seafood, Italian and Romantico. I enjoyed all 3 with Romantico being my favorite. The Beer Garden is OK and operates 24/7. The staff at the resort are very friendly. Our fridge was stocked daily with a water bottle, pop, and beer. The only problem I has was the bathtub with water did not drain out smoothly. Good service, friendly smiles. Overall we had a awesome time.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Reasonable Price

Relatively old resort! The water facility was broken when we signed in. Lucky we got upgraded to Melia Las Dunas which is 2 km from this resort. Air conditioning was broken in my last visit and I had to moved to another room. Some of my friends had been moved more than one time.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Nice resort

The resort was beautiful but not amazing as I thought I would be for a newer resort. The public washrooms were not kept as clean as they should have been. They need to spend more time on maintaining them. The beach bar was I think under construction as it was difficult to get to and the stairs were apart. No signs to get to the paddle boats and other boats. Some days our fridge didn't get restocked. It stated we would have robes and slippers in our room and we didn't. Melia Las Dunas: Loved Melia Las Dunas

I loved everything about this resort. The grounds were beautiful and we'll maintained, food excellent, customer service amazing. Beach was one of the best I've ever been to. The resort had many activities and was very active at night with entertainment shows and disco.

Wonderful resort!! Beautiful, well maintained grounds. Service and accommodations were excellent! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was really quite good! Beach is stunning. Loved the " Relax Pool"! I highly recommend this resort.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful Resort

Hotel was very nice and clean. Room was beautiful and clean. I cannot complain about the food, it was good. A-la-carte's were great. Staff was amazing. We went during the off-season, beach is beautiful with white sand, water absolutely gorgeous.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great experience

Beautiful grounds, VERY good food and large rooms. Beach shade is not directly on beach rather on a cliff which is not convenient but beach is beautiful and rooms could use paint job. Customer service was exceptional.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great First Stay!!!

I am a fairly picky person, so I did not know what to expect for my first Cuba trip. I was very pleasantly surprised, as everything was so much better than I could have expected. The food was incredible, and there was so much selection - something for everyone in the family. The resort restaurants - a la cartes - were beautiful and delicious, with lots of selection. There were bars and an ice cream stand (which was a hidden gem - they have more than just cones) and a snack bar open all hours,  [... read more]which was so helpful for late night chicken fingers and fries. The fresh fruit and the home baked pizza were the tastiest items in the buffet, and the Asian a la carte, Panda Rojo, was our particular favourite - we couldn't have ordered something unappetizing if we had wanted to. The staff was friendly and helpful right up to the day we left. Even the housekeepers were wonderful - cleaned the room right back to the way it was when we had first arrived, and left us notes, flowers, and neat towel designs. The room was clean and nothing like the reviews I had heard about typical Cuban rooms. The AC was amazing to get back to in the heat of the day, and the TV had a great selection. No bed bugs, mould, etc. that I had heard was normal in such a humid place. Very clean and they brought us new towels every day. The pools/beach were also amazing. Very clean and relaxing pool area, with a bar at every single one. The pool was clean and refreshing, with plenty of seating area and lots of sun cover. The beach was also clean, beautiful, and breezy. They did have to close it one of the days we were there due to inclement weather, as a huge storm rolled in (no one's fault). However, this was not a negative thing as we had a huge selection of pools to choose from, and plenty of places to escape from the rain. There was a long bus ride to get to the airport and back, but we didn't mind as you got to see some of the Cuban landscape, people, and relax after your flights. There was always fun Cuban music playing somewhere, clean walking paths, and beautiful foliage, as well as a club house to play ping pong, chess, checkers, pool, and sit and relax. There were plenty of stands to buy little souvenirs, but I recommend not purchasing any wood products as they will not let you bring it back to Canada with you and will confiscate it at security. There were many other hidden gems such as the giant chess set, the bus tours of the area, and the beach snack bar (all you can eat ice cream). Everything was laid out well and clean, happy and helpful staff. I am definitely going back there as soon as I can!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Awesome trip

The hotel, grounds and staff were amazing, definately will be going back. From the beginning booking the trip with Jen at Trip Central, the arrival at the hotel, the service, the amazing Cuban people was all a wonderful experience. We met great people and have new friends for life. Thank you for the great experience.

Memories Paraiso: CAYO MEMORIES PARAISO AZUL BEACH RESORT

GOOD TIME OF YEAR TO GO HERE,DAYS ARE HOT NIGHTS COOL DOWN WITH SOME NICE THUNDER STORMS.THE 7 OF US INJOYED THE FOOD IT WAS VERY GOOD.ROOMS WERE LARGE AND VERY CLEAN,THE SAFF ALWAYS PLEASENT.ENTERTAINMENT WAS TOPS.WHITE SAND WITH AQUA BLUE WATER.WE HAD A VERY GOOD TIME.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: The same quality as last year.

The resort is still new (built 2011), and the rooms are nice. Everything works in the bathrooms, food is better than average, by Cuban standards. Service is quick, both at the restaurants and bars across the resort. The beach and ocean are gorgeous!

Memories Paraiso: Stunning beach, lovely people but resort too big!

I was not impressed with this resort as for me it was just too large. Good things: my room was very clean and the king size bed very comfy! Beach was stunning with powdered sand, gradual entry and torquoise blue waters! Great for kids! Pool was average but they had a foam party which was fun! Food was ok but repetitive.You won't go hungry. Waiters and waitresses were kind and helpful as was the front desk. I just didn't feel at home and changed to a smaller resort. I changed to Melia Cayo Santa Maria, a much smaller resort which I thoroughly enjoyed! :)

Melia Las Dunas: Great Resprt

This hotel is the best one we have been to in the last 5 years. The hotel is beautiful and very, very clean. The rooms are large and the cleaning lady does a great job. The food was very good and lots of variety. The staff for the most part was friendly and good at their job. Our biggest complaint is the swim up bar staff, they completely ignored the children if an adult was not with them, even after tipping them too much. We are not animal lovers do not get me wrong we like animals but this resort had too many cats which are feral and too many dogs. The beach itself was beautiful and we are beach people. We traveled with our grandchildren 5 and 6, at the resorts we had been to before you could walk out forever before the water got deep, not this beach, the drop off was sudden and deep. As adults this is great but for this reason my daughter would not return to this resort.
