Cayo Levantado Resort: Great resort too bad it’s changing to a kid place

Super clean with amazing staff. Nothing disappointing about this place. They are changing the guest model in May 2018 to include children. We prefer adult only resorts so we are a little sad and probably won’t return for that reason. Fantastic resort and holiday

Cayo Levantado Resort: Second trip to this amazing resort..

Cayo Levantado is an amazing resort, for those who want relaxation, seclusion, and wonderful service. Staff are always accommodating, the service is impressive, ant the resort grounds are beautifully manicured. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for something a little off the beaten path in the Dominican. Service, food choices, and facilities at the resort are all top shelf. Transfer times are reasonable, the Samana airport is small, but very efficient.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Gorgeous, Tranquail, and Amazing resort

Grounds: Well kept, always staff cleaning to maintain spotless - beach and interlocking brick, as well as interior. Hotel room: Size is just right, beautiful view of the ocean, maid service in the am and turn down service in the pm complete with pillow chocolate. Beach: Never an issue with obtaining a shelter. We were not able to try the Italian. Entertainment: Was Okay. But we were so relaxed and enjoying everything else, we didn't mind. Health and Wellness: Fantastic!!!! This is a relaxation resort. Eco crafts, eco walks, and yoga.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

The resort was beautiful. The food was great. The beach was nice. I enjoyed everything except the fact one of the maids stole money from my wallet. 100$ us to be exact. I would recommend ppl go there. But not leave anything valuable in there rooms

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Beautiful Resort

This resort is beautiful, clean, well maintained, good food at buffet, awesome food at the al a carte. We did Japanese, Brazilian & Gourmet they were top notch. There are lots of lounge chairs available so you didn’t need to reserve one early we went to pool around 9:30 everyday and had no problem finding a spot with an umbrella or gazebo for shade when needed, it was very hot over 30 every day with a slight breeze and some clouds which was refreshing. The beach is very cut up not the nices beach but clean and well maintained, The kids area at the Grand is awesome we will have to bring the grandkids. Would definitely recommend this resort the people in Jamaica especially at this resort are extremely friendly.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best vacation ever!

Just got back December 9 and wanted to share our experience. We stayed for two weeks in the penthouse suite with roof top Service Our Butler Yair was one of the kindest and generous people we have ever met. He never let us down, gave us all we asked for and more. When we return will definitely request him. Aromatherapy in the room every night, and I had asked for milk for my coffee in the mornings and he made sure I always had some. Breakfast was very good at the Sian Kaan, and the chef would make your eggs any way you liked them. When you book at this hotel you get premium drinks like Crown Royal and Baileys also at the Akumal, but they make you pay for them at the cobra and talum. Beach The beach is beautiful, calm and fish everywhere! Every day at least twice I would feed them cereal bars, they loved it, don't forget to do this, what a great experience! Also no vendors on the beach which was nice. The downside was that when we booked this resort we were told that we had an exclusive sian Kaan section of the beach, not so, shared with the Akumal adults only and no chairs except after three o'clock! Very annoying! So we paid the young guy at the water excursions hut $2 every day and he saved us chairs. I know it sounds rude, but at least we got a couple of chairs. And we paid for a so called private area! We would spend hours there and people would never show up with towels on their chairs. Pools The sian Kaan pools were a bit too quiet for us so we spent most of our time at the Akumal infinity pool or the beach. Entertainment All of the shows were pretty good, especially the magic show! There is a show and activity board in the sian Kaan updated every day so you can plan your evenings. Transportation Trams were great, including one that goes directly to the beach. They are all color codes with destinations so you never get lost. Excursions We only did one that was free, they took us to a jewelry store, we were only suppose to be there for half hour but two hours later they picked us up and took us to the worst part of playa de carmen! I didn't want to get out of the taxi! Basically an outdoor market, Was really shady and not enough time to allow travelling to the high end stores to shop. The driver told us when we got there that we had to stay for four hours! I was like, "I don't think so!" We booked through the Air Transat rep and he told us two! After some bickering he finally agreed to two hours! I thought we were going to get stuck there, and I am sure if we had not gone with another couple the experience might have been a lot worse! We found out later that the driver worked for the owner of part of the market and the restaurant they wanted us to eat at! Was really shady, and very uncomfortable feeling, and was way out of our comfort zone, not to mention there was nothing in the market that was not on the Hacieinda at the resort. My husband got a tattoo in the hacieinda there, really safe, and the guy use to have a shop in playa de carmen and has worked at the resort seven years now, he is very talented! His name is William, worth it to visit him, his work is amazing! All in all it was a fantastic vacation actually the best we have had so far! Would highly recommend this resort, and we will be back for sure!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Good Resort,

Hotel very nice. Adult pool just perfect for noise and games. Beach was good. food Good but Transat organization and check in was horrible and the hotel needed to somehow let people know about the theathre shows better. Lack or organization there too. Did not like the bar closing at 11:30 on the ambar blue and have to go all the way to the village. otherwise, the rooms, food and grounds were great.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort !

Can't complain about this resort. Believe it is rated a 5 star and it deserves it. The grounds, pools, restaurants, shuttles and staff are grade A. We've been to Mexico around 18 times over 40 years and would rate this resort at the top of our list. Would and will go back to it next year.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort

It's not on the beach and it's about 1.5 hour drive from the airport, but otherwise this is a great resort. Sian Kaan is fairly small but you have access to the other 3 Bahia Principe resorts on the property. The tram to the beach takes less than 10 minutes and the trams are always running so you never have to wait long. Our room was very nice and the overall service and meals were excellent. Would certainly recommend Sian Kaan.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great family vacation resort!

Our rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was good and tons of options! Lots for the kids to eat and try, food was readily available and lots of to choose from. Specialty restaurants were good but the Japanese restaurant was amazing!! The water park was great for kids to play and meet up with others and the beach was easily accessible and visible from the water park. Seaweed was at a minimal and there were even fish swimming around you! Staff were friendly and welcoming but don't expect the [... read more] lifeguards to be overly attentive - cuz their priority is to chat amongst themselves. Security was around and visible but not intrusive. The kids club was okay, not really publicized but once we made an effort to go to find it and seek out what activities were offered, my kids enjoyed it. Babysitting services were good for families in need. Our "Jamaican momma", our Westjet Representative was informative and a great support! Great time had by all and we will be back to Jamaica for sure!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Highs and lows

Check in was a disaster. the hotel hustled all airtransat passengers into a room but after filling out paperwork took us to the front desk anyway. They should have packages with room keys etc if they are trying to save time. Our rooms were not what we requested and in fact they said they did not receive one of our requests. The hotel needs some updating. Rooms had broken toilets and showers. Everyday we had to run around to get coffee liquor or facecloths. Very disappointing that all th [... read more]e entertainment was off site and that the entertainment was sub-par. Having to pay for some premium drinks was also disappointing. The beach is too crowded with chairs as all complex guests must travel to the same spot. Not enough beach for the amount of guests. Weather was outstanding and food was good. Booking specialty restaurants was a challenge. When attending one that we had been told was completely booked, it was surprising to see that it was not full at all.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Wonderful Time at the Grand Bahia Cayacoa!

My husband and I travelled to Samana, D.R. during the last week of November, and even though I was anxious about the weather, we had sunshine and heat all week long! The resort is beautiful, clean, with breathtaking views! The staff work very hard to ensure their guests' stay is enjoyable, from the food right down to the cleanliness of the pool! There are alof of steps, and the resort is wide-spread, so if you have mobility issues, this may not be the resort for you. We went off-season and our wait was very short, but it could be much longer depending on how full the resort is.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Adequate stay

Food was ok. Drinks were decent. Cats were limited Staff was friendly Rooms were clean BUT Roaches at the buffet🤨 WIFI adequate Beaches clutered Ala carte selective and even when not packed you couldn’t get a reservation. A lot of commission based ventures on site, so you can imagine the persistence of salesmen

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Fantastic time crazy views

It all started with the best hotel coordinator ever. I'm talking about Danny at the front desk of the cayacoa resort. Every need question n comfort was addressed and executed. The views were amazing. The resort had an elevator to one beach and a golf kart to the other. The pool yes with a pool bar sits high above the ocean and feels like royalty. Manuel at the late night buffet was amazing too as well as the bar tender at the disco who's name I forgot. Great experiences I feel like it's underrated. N I've gone back 3 times in 3 months that's how much I liked it. I recommend the gift Store Hemzone on the samana town. They had some great jewelry pieces made on the premises. All n all great place. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Even better the 2nd time around

This was our 2nd time at the hotel. The food is the best we've ever had at an all inclusive resort. The beach is beautiful and the staff are great. We were in a superior junior suite, block 27. Room was very spacious, bathroom was nice, and the maid did a great job. The resort is fairly quiet at night, other than the shows, which was fine by us.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Vacation paradise 🌴

Everything about the resort exceeded our expectations! Staff were fantastic, beach...breathtaking, food was fantastic, room was huge (and spotless) The only sad part is that they are changing it from an adult only resort to family friendly in the spring.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fun relaxing vacation

Just returned from Bahia Principe Punta Cana. Amazing flight (air transat). Clean beautifully maintained resort. Food was very good with nice variety at the buffet. We enjoyed the entertainment . Pools were nice and quiet, not crowded and we spent most of our time there as the beach was a little too crowded for our liking. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Luxury Bahia Principe Resort

When we first arrived around 7 pm, I noticed that the sliding door would not lock. I showed the Bell Hop and he said he would notify maintenance. When we came back 3 hours later and the door was still not fixed. I tried to call the front desk and the concierge but no answer. I walked down to the front desk and spoke to the person there. They sent someone up and repaired the door lock at 11 30 pm. The next day we found there was no cold water. I called the front desk and again no answer. I called [... read more] several times. There was no cold water for a day and 1/2. 3 days later when we were at the pool a staff member came by and apologized for the water issue. She said the resort would give us access to the spa or we could receive a credit for purchase from one of the 3 stores on site. The credit was $70usd. We chose the credit. This is supposed to be a luxury 5 star resort. The bar service at several locations were terrible. If you were not prepared to tip you were the last one to be served. I witnessed a confrontation between a staff member (bar tender) and a senior customer. I had to speak up and tell the bar tender that he could not be talking like that to his customer. He should not be raising his voice and arguing with the customer. He agreed and things calmed down. The customer then went to the front desk to complain. The noise from the hallways was very loud. You could hear people from the rooms telling the people in the halls to be quiet. It did not feel like a luxury 5 star resort. On a good note, we were able to eat at 6 of the Ala-cart restaurants. The meals were very good. The beach area was nice and so were the pools. However the pools needed to be cleaned, I noticed the same debri at the bottom of the pool for several days. The under water lighting was missing a fixture and the tiles were falling off. I do believe the resort was under staffed for the amount of visitors there. Some of the people we met were complaining about the poor room service and lack of face towels and shampoo. This is NOT a Luxury 5 Star Resort.

It was a very large resort the whole area was kept very clean. Staff was very friendly. They went out of their way to assist you with any problems you might have. Very polite too Food was awesome. Nightly shows were done to reflect there culture. It had a few downs like no AC in the hallways slow elevators. Beach was very nice beautiful waters crystal clear If you wanted to snorkel lots to see and do. Good place for a wedding too. They drive like the British do on the left side. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Best Bahia Resort I've visited

I've been to several Bahia resorts around the Carribean and this one was the best thus far. The food was great, the grounds were clean, the rooms were well kept and clean, and the service was top notch.
