Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Resort!!!

The resort itself was beautiful. The food was decent for Cuba. The staff were amazing! Entertainment staff were fun, bartenders were amazing, especially Ernesto at the swim up bar. Close to the gorgeous beach. Disco was fair size. Snack bar was good, always had food late at night.

Hotel Mojito: Comfortable Family Resort

This was my 4th time returning to the Iberostar Mojito....and the reason I continue to return is the amazing staff. Going back to this resort is like returning home - you are greeted as an old friend - often by name - and made to feel welcome. The actual facility could use some upgrades and sprucing up, however I have no need to be 'in the lap of luxury'. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Mojito is a good family resort with staff who cannot do enough for you - lots of activities for adults and kids - beautiful beachfront and multiple pools.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing resort and service!

Beautiful, clean, well maintained grounds and facilities. Our room was large and lovely, we upgraded to the ocean view room and it was fabulous. Food was good with lots of variety (even for myself with food allergies - they made sure I was taken care of!), and the a la carte restaurants were fabulous. Staff were friendly and responsive. We will definitely be returning!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Highly recommend!

Can't think of anything negative to say about my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was really clean, and everything was super accessible. The grounds were beautiful and the gorgeous beach was a super short walk away from our room. There was plenty to do on the resort, including great nightly entertainment and the energetic discoteca. The buffet had its highs and lows but the a la carte options were delicious.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Good.

The resort itself was very nice... long walks but very beautiful... food was an issue... no flavour, at the buffet and resturants. Beach was amazing!! Definite ups and downs to resorts. One thing we struggled with was being locked out of the room for 36 hours... yes we had to stay with our friends for a night wearing dress clothes finally we climbed rhe balcony to get in. Iberostar Origin Tainos: Fabulous!!!

It was our first time in Cuba and it couldn't have been better. The hotel and staff were both outstanding. We were treated royally. The beach was beatiful and we took advantage of both the ocean and the resort's beatiful pool to sun, swim and relax. We had been told not to expect too much on the food front but we found that meals were also good. Had breakfast, lunch and supper at the hotel each day and the waitresses were extremely accommodating and unbelievably friendly. I would definitely recommend a trip to Cuba and a stay at the Iberostar Tainos to any one of my friends. We're hoping to get back again next year.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great deal, relaxing stay.

First of all, let's be honest, this isn't a North American 5 star hotel, so please don't go if that is what you are looking for. The cost is cheap, so basically you get what you pay for. Our hotel room (we upgraded to a superior double room), wasn't the most modern; however the room was clean and always kept clean by the housekeeping staff. Both my daughter and I had aching backs each morning from the hard bed, and poor pillow...but some people prefer hard beds...I just don't. The doors in the r [... read more]oom and in the hallway were in good need of painting or replacing (probably the latter). This was my third time in Cuba, and I certainly can't say I go for the food; however I thought the food was good for Cuba. I was able to have a salad with my lunch and dinner (never was able to before in Cuba) and there was enough options to choose from. The beach sand was the texture of cornstarch so quite nice. There is a bit of seaweed in the water and on the shore, but the workers cleaned up the beach every morning. Lots of chairs to choose from, although that could be because we went off season. The only thing I was disappointed about was the customer service wasn't always great. The wait staff certainly had some serious shining stars who really went above and beyond, but the rest, well...not so attentive. All in all, for the price I will not complain. I got plenty of sun, lots to eat and drink and had an extremely relaxing vacation.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Love Cuba!

The Iberostar Varadero is an amazing resort. We would stay there again, hopefully sooner than later. The beach was amazing! The room was nice, but I don't think I would pay the extra for the Junior Suite upgrade again as we were really only in the room to sleep. We found the buffet was better than the restaurants, which was a little disappointing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Very pleasant resort

The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Nice small resort with pool and beach close to all rooms. Our room was in the Varedaro and the view from our balcony was great! The only complaint was no 24 hour bar or snack bar available. No place to get coffee before 8 o'clock and no coffee makers in rooms. Food choice was not exciting. Lobster hut on the beach was excellent.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Certainly a deserved 5-star rating!

Everything about our holiday exceeded expectations....the friendly and eager to please staff,the amazing facilities and beach,the wonderful food and drinks!Strongly recommend an excursion to Havana to get a taste of Cuban life away from the resort,a guide helps with a wealth of facts and personal experiences!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: amazing resort

Great location.staff are friendly. One suggestion is to utilize the terrace bar by keeping it open a bit longer at night I know ppl come not only for drinks but for the scenery and ambiance and maybe put more bar staff during busy times

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort! Perfect Wedding location

We had our wedding here in November 2015. The entire process was very well organized. I would recommend for anyone looking to get married in Cuba. The hotel is huge, our room was a 15 minute walk from the lobby and the carts were difficult to get to come and pick you up. I didn't mind walking because the resort is like a jungle and there is so much to see. The pool area is beautiful and clean. The food was OK, if you are looking for amazing food I would pay for the colonial restaurant as it is worth every penny, the steak there was incredible. There is always entertainment in the lobby. The lobby bar makes amazing drinks. order a "Rudy Special" from Rudy there!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort

This resort was superb. Staff very friendly and accommodating in all areas. Beaches beautifully kept. Pool areas were always maintained and offered all services. Plenty of variety in foods available. Great place for destination wedding!

Weather was excellent during our stay and the food was as expected for going to Cuba.....excellent place to go with a group of friends but there was little to do, on the resort. I had a good time but will likely not return to cuba

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful resort

This resort was very clean. Rooms were nice. Staff were excellent. Food was good with a real variety and such delicious fruit. The pool was breathtaking. Lots of patios all around to sit and enjoy the view. The only thing I didn't like was how There are no stores,restaurants, bars, etc. around. You have to take taxi everywhere which is not cheap. there is a shuttle though which runs hourly to some shops at another resort. There is some snorkelling on the beach. Service was awesome. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: A Great Place to Soak up the Sun

As mentioned in most other reviews, this resort is exceptionally well maintained and the staff, in our experience, were the best of any of the all-inclusive hotels we have stayed with over the years. Every person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and committed to making our stay enjoyable. Even the beach vendors were friendly and considerate of our wish to be left alone. The food was good at the buffet as well as the themed restaurants, with the Mexican and Gourmet being our favourites. The  [... read more]beach is clean and sandy and very safe for swimming and body surfing. The pool areas were clean and very pleasant although we did spend most of our time on the beach. Our only other experience with Iberostar was a comparable property at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya on the Mayan Riviera. It, too, is an excellent resort. The Playa Mita is a smaller, newer property. We preferred the food at the Paraiso, overall, but the beach and staff at the Playa Mita were exceptional.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Fun-Filled Resort!

We stayed at the Iberostar Resort (Beaches) in Jamaica the first week of Nov/15. Our stay was wonderful. The rooms were a fair size and well kept! The hotel itself was beautiful. Not too large and not too small !! Lots of choice to sit & relax and/or socialize with our group whether on the beach, by the pool or in all of the relax areas set up in the hotel itself. They made sure our diverse group signed up for the best excursions for all! Restaurant staff were wonderful and always accommodating (There was 7 in our group so nice to always have a table made readily available for us!) Food was delicious.. I can't remember a meal I did not enjoy.. my favorite was the Japanese Restaurant (of course with a Jamaican twist.. which I thoroughly enjoyed!) however my husband and other group members insist the buffet was the best!! :) The only (small) criticism I would mention is that the beach was not as beautiful as I would have liked. :( There was a lot of seaweed that I could have done without! haha But overall a big thumbs up for this resort. My family and I plan to revisit as soon as possible! Miss it already!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Disappointed unfortunately ...

This was our first trip to Cuba and were very excited for the experience - we even paid more for our ocean view room. When we got there we had to wait in line for about an hour to just check in. Once we got our room it wasn't even fully clean, there was hair shavings in the sink still, our balcony door was broken so extremely difficult to open. The worst part was that our air conditioner was not working and when we turned the fan on it was also broken. This made the room unbearable in the extrem [... read more]e heat. Myself or my boyfriend were unable to sleep for 7 days because of the heat. When I asked for a new room they told me that there was only one room available and it was twin beds no ocean view. I asked for a mechanic to come fix the AC in my room and no one ever showed up to fix this. The next day after the maid cleaned our room we had two toilet paper roles but for some reason they took one of them and let us only have one. On our last day we had our do not disturb sign on the door and the maid knocked once and I ran to the door but she had already barged in to ask us when we were leaving. Also they closed one of the pools our whole trip and that pool had piles of comfier chairs so we went to drag some over to the other pool and were yelled at saying we could not take those chairs they are for the other pool. We offered to put the chairs back after and they said no put them back now. So instead we got to lie on plastic chairs with no cushion to them for the whole trip. I know this is all negative but I was very disappointed in my experience at- had our room been air conditioned and we were able to at least sit on the comfortable chairs after the amount we paid then my experience could have been better. Cuba beaches are unlike any other - gorgeous, I wish I was able to write a more positive note :( was really looking forward to that vacation and paid a lot for it.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Resort that needs maintenance and improvment

The hotel is located in a very nice location in Varadero. Food selection is good but lack in flavour, it is bland and not easy to get some seasoning to spice the food. Service in the main dining room is very slow. There might have some dishwashers' issues as plates coming out to the dining area are not properly washed, brought this to a staff attention but nothing happened.
