Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Ultra nice resort

Hotel excelent grounds well mainttained staff super nice and helpfull . Foid excelent as well as the rooms. Beaches were resly nice and the lounge area relaxing. The entertainment couldve been better the location great .

Memories Paraiso: Beautiful place!! Nice resort!

The resort was clean. Friendly, and plenty of staff. Perfect place to just stay on resort and go to the beach. Great for couples or families. I would get married at this place. Will definitely be back!!!!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: love itttttt

Amaising hitel.friendly staff and very children friendly!!!my children loved the ice cream bar.and if you want to go out for the night the cigar bar was nice and the music was great.very clean.lovedd ittttt

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderfully relaxing resort

Very pleased with this resort. Grounds, room and beach were above par. Food was very good. Large selection of food choices and all were very good. Would definitely return here. Entertainment was great!!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: A week in Cuba!

This was our third time traveling to Playa Cayo santa Maria. All three times we really enjoyed ourselves. Staff was nice, beach was amazing, and food was good! I would go back a 4th time and probably will!

Melia Las Dunas: Awesome staff and resort!!!

Had a wonderful week with perfect weather at the Melia Las Dunas resort. Took tennis lessons every morning and enjoyed one of the most stunning beaches I've ever been to. The staff was friendly and always greeted us with a genuine smile!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Resort was great, but we had some issues.

Great beach, rooms were adequate. Staff OK. Food was not very good. Worst we had in Cuba. Shopping was fine. Entertainment fair. Wine was fine. Coffee in lobby was great at the restaurants not so much.

I think everything was good, the pools, the beach, the resort rooms the breakfast buffet was delish, the dinner buffet not so good, the 24 hr grills were ok, the service was awesome, I did like that is was not over crowded at buffet's and grill's

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful beach!!

Fantastic first trip to Cuba. We have been to Mexico, DR, Jamaica, Caymans, BVI's, etc and we finally decide to try Cuba. We had a great time with our 2 very young children. The staff was amazing with them!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: never would go back

Before going on my vacation I was told the staff at the resorts in Cuba are extremely welcoming and accommodating , I don't know where they stayed but starfish couldn't be farther from the truth. We would smile at staff and most wouldn't even acknowledge we existed. The sheets in our rooms always have some mystery stains on it and could feel the wires in the mattress. We were then relocated to a room with a whole in the door for all the little critters to come join us, along with a broken toilet. When asked three times if someone was coming to fix it we received blank stares and yes they are on their way. nobody came to fix the toilet. I am aware that most of these problems seem petty, but when paying for an all inclusive vacation and how much we paid I would expect nothing but the best . I would never go back to starfish nor would I ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

Melia Las Dunas: Great resort

Very nice hotel. Exceed our expectations. We had an amazing time there Pros: Beautiful grounds, nice food. Amazing beach. Good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Cons: Entertainment could've be better.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Very beautiful resort

The hotel grounds were very well taken care of. The gardeners were attending to gardens every day. Staff at pool bar were amazing especially Raphael. He was the best. Beach is beautiful. The lobby bar staff did not seem like they enjoyed their job. Not as friendly and didn't smile much. The a La Carte Restaurants were ok. The buffet was very repetitive with not much choices and I'm the least picky eater. We did the Catamaran which was very quiet compared to others ones I have done. No music. That was nice but didn't see anyone roll cigars as we were looking forward to that part of the excursion. The lunch at that buffet in the hotel Playa Santa Maria was amazing. Huge, lots of variety and air conditioning. Our hotel buffet area was so hot you didn't want to stay too long to eat. Check in and check out was very quick. Sunwing rep were very kind and help full. Pool was nice and clean. The grill only served hamburgers and ham/cheese sandwich and sometimes fries in the sheltered grill. If you went hungry between lunch and dinner or late snack that is the only choices you had for 7 days. Being my boyfriends first time he really enjoyed himself but since I have travelled to Cuba, DR, Mexico, Jamaica, I knew what to expect but wish the food choices were much better. I have heard of people mentioning the public washrooms. There were no smells outside and ladies were clean but all men bathroom were closed and locked because they said they were not working. That was a huge inconvenience for men. Rooms were nice and always cleaned properly. We did ask reception desk for toilet paper since we were out and said she was sending someone but never got it. Of course they need to make a few changes to keep people going to this resort. We still made the best of it and had a great time.

Melia Las Dunas: the hotel iz not at the level of a 4 star.

Rooms ae not clean and towels dirty upholstery linen towels. Kitchen and bar OK ,waiters and chefs and statt that works at the bar are super helpful and friendly. The beach is clean water is clean only was jellyfish but we could not swim in the ocean and we do not like swimming in the pool.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful Resort

The people were wonderful and the resort itself was beautiful and well laid out. Distances between lobby and beach was fine. I did miss the option of a buffet, particularly given Cuban food. Great sleeps.

Great resort,great service,amazing beach,would go back,food selection was good,house keeping was great,bus ride from airport was a little long but over all was great,best Spanish coffee ever,great value for the price.

Memories Paraiso: Nice Resort

We liked the vast grounds of this resort where we could take walks and enjoy the tropical vegetation. We liked to drink our coffee in the courtyard with birds singing in the pergola above. The beach was magnificent with miles of white sand and clear, warm ocean water. The pool was also warm yet refreshing. The food was plain, healthy fare but this resort did not have the ethnic themed food nights that we have enjoyed in other Cuban resorts. The staff was attentive and courteous.

I was told free Wi-Fi. Get free drink on the bus from airport that's a lie. My Son IPod was stolen from the room may 12 I have to leave on the 13 not enough time to complain, now he's sadden by it lost is game and pictures

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: I have low standards, too close to unacceptable

It took some time for me to write a review because i was so disgruntled. Went to Sol Cayo April 30th/16 Travelling alone tends to make a person more tolerable of a bad situation. I made the best of a very poor quality resort. Very poor to no lighting at all for the exterior of the building and no lighting to find my room at 12:30am upon arrival made for an interesting first night. There is condemned out of order bathrooms at the pool area and pool bridge railings that were rotted off completely, [... read more] path ways to the beach roped off because the wood is so rotten there are full sections missing, the path ways that are open have rotten boards that are loose with nail heads sticking up lord help anyone with kids that are excited to get to the beach it is trouble waiting to happen, these are just a few indications of how in dire need of repair all of this resort is. The "night life" is non-existent except for the wild life lol. They advertise the Sol Melia and Sol Cayo as being adjoining properties but if you try and go through the open arch way to the sister property you will probably be met by a guard telling you that your not allowed, go around in behind the buildings or out the road way to the front entrance and through the lobby. Running out of ice at the pool bar for more than half a day not just a few minutes or an hour when the place is at maybe 25% capacity, really! Food was good for the most part, but when you change an a la carte dining location the signage should be changed also or you end up in the middle of another "out of order" area where there used to be a restaurant, easy enough to ask just an added proverbial thorn. Beach was enjoyable and good food there. You get what you pay for, a place to sleep which was actually a very good room, sun was bright water was wet and beach was sandy ;-)

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Overall a nice relaxing time!

Overall we got what we wanted which was a lovely beach to relax on. Things we did not like is that the breakfast hours were from 7:30-10. Which meant we could not sleep in as the other food facilities did not serve breakfast foods. As well, the hotel is more of a 2.5-3 star hotels. It needs upgrading. Linen and towels were stained and old. Food was ok. most of the staff was friendly. Some not so much. We did pay a bit more that he value we received.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Good Resort!!!

I thought the resort was nice. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Food was fair. Pizza and 24 hr grill bar was great. Pools fantastic and the beach! The entertainment was really good! We appreciated all the staff they were awesome and so friendly. We knew the food would be different but we found food we liked. Chefs will prepare omelettes how you like, chicken fish etc. I loved Cuba, very hot!! Great beach and lots of chairs and shelters from the sun if too hot. :)
