Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Smelly room

The room had a very bad smell coming through washroom throughout the stay, which seems to be sewage issues. Rooms were not cleaned on time or not at all. Sometimes housekeeping would forget to stock up the fridge.the staff were rarely able to communicate in English. Overall the resort was not that bad, foam party is one thing to definitely watch out for!

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Absolutely fantastic resort

While our stay didn't start off too well- TV didn't work, mosquitoes in the room, was unable to unlock safe after locking, only one garbage can, in the washroom, and no ice-bucket- all these issues were resolved with one call, almost immediately. Our room was very spacious, and although on the ground floor, the surrounding are was surprisingly quiet. The beach was out of this world: I'm not a swimmer, so to finally see calm, salt water, was heaven sent. Our concierge, Moberley, was extremely helpful in making sure all our needs were being met. The grounds were well manicured and onsite wild life was refreshing. All in all, a terrific spot to vacation at.

Riu Republica: Fabulous stay !

Food and staff are superb. Hotel can provide more activities. Such as tennis court, dance on the beach, more organized snorkeling groups. Price for coconut onsite is super high. Highest I ever saw in the caribeans. Pool water was dirty on days when the sea was wild and wavey. The room service was not renewing our coffers and soaps every day. And was hesitant for refilling small size water bottles. But cleaners were superb. Restaurants are not great but the buffet is very well served and kept.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great family resort

Love the fry truck and lazy river. Second time back this year. Third to this resort. Very family oriented. A la cartes are nice but buffet has an excellent selection. Even a small buffet table for kids. Rooms are large. Resort is very clean. Lots of activities to do. Staff ( wait staff, activities staff, bar tenders, housekeeping) all do a great job and deserve your tips! The shows each night are great. Grand Palladium Punta Cana: AMAZING RESORT!! I LOVE PUNTA CANA I GO EVERY 2 YEARS I LOVE THE PEOPLE AND THE BEACHES ARE IMPECCABLE!! WILL GO BACK 💯👌

I think its perfect, The hotel staff can have a good impact or a Bad impact which can and will ruin your vacation. I promise you that you will love it there..i vouch for them all the way! I cant wait to be there again.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana

The Staff Starting with Hector, our great butler, down to the guest services staff and waiters, everyone was always smiling, pleasant and eager to please. Thanks to guest services for obtaining medicine for me from a local pharmacy. Room We had booked a swim-up room, which was one on the main attractions of this resort. Stepping down from our deck into the pool and going for a morning swim before breakfast, was a lovely experience. The rooms have normal size hotel closets and a dresser w [... read more]ith only 3 small drawers. This means that many items will have to remain in one's suitcase for the duration of the stay. Food Hector made reservations for us at a number of restaurant, where food was consistently excellent. The Steakhouse was number 1 for me, while others in our group preferred the Dorado or the Japanese restaurant. A number of lounges spread throughout the resort served great snacks throughout the day. The bar near the sports centre was our favorite. They served a health drink daily from 7 - 10 am, followed by a special of the day together with all other drinks. Beach / Watersports The beach was nice, but showed strong signs of erosion, especially near the sports centre. The resort is trying to protect its property with sandbags, but may eventually have to build a wall to hold on to its beach. - Unfortunately, we only managed to get a sailboat once during the week, due to weather concerns or the absence of the mandatory rescue boat. Negatives: 7 of our group of 10 came down with an intestinal illness, which lasted between 1 and 4 days. We heard from others that we were not the only guests who got sick.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Loved it

We spent a week at the beginning of December at Grand Memories Splash with two children 7 and 11 year old. We truly enjoyed it - large and clean rooms, beautiful gardens, great food and entertainment. We were worried about the walk to Royalton, but we actually enjoyed the distance (which, by the way, is a 5 minute walk) because it made the resort feel more like a mini-town and not a confined space. The waterpark was awesome, and never crowded. We would definitely return.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Dissappointed

We unfortunately did not get what was expected. The room we had was a great location however in your add the rooms look like they were just newly built and beautiful however that is not the case. they have not been touched in over 22 years and that was backed up by staff. deteriorating wood, holes in the floors and shower, drab fixtures and bedding but was kept clean. They do not use good cooks however the individual restaurants were much better. Not nearly enough lounges and shade by the pool or the beach. Guests have to get up very early to try to reserve a spot. The service in the main buffet was awful. For all meals servers who are supposed to bring you coffee and water are standing around talking. Every day I had to go to them and ask them to please bring us water and coffee. Some of our friends who were also there agree with everything I am saying. There also wa a couple who were there last year from England and they said they see a drastic change and will not be back to the Dominican. We also feel that all employees should have to learn english which is the international language and it would be less frustrating to communicate every day with the staff. It is unfortunate that the big wigs at the top of the ladder and who own the property don't always know what is going on at the bottom.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fantastic resort!

We came back from a week at the Magestic colonial. The resort is beautiful, staff amazing and friendly and we would definitely return! Our swim out room on the family side was fantastic! The beach was amazing - lots of loungers no seaweed. Food was good. Entertainment team did a great job and evening shows were fun. The plaza was a nice feature for live entertainment before the later show.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice resort

Food was disgusting and always the same it was like eating garbage.Drinks we're watered down.5 star hotel i think not.service was hit and miss.Nice room and pool but resort was way to big.Overall not a resort we would ever go back to.Even at a discounted price.

Excellence Punta Cana: It was an amazing resort.

We had no complaints about anything and would love to go back. The service, rooms, food, weather, everything was "excellent". The spa was exceptional. The people were the most friendly. I hope next year we can get the same rate as I said before we would love to return. Thanks so much Gayle. Jody Burtch.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Resort, but needs some

a few concerns: there was a major outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth disease at the resort. No announcement was made, nor did we notice any additional care or cleaning to the pool and kid areas. As well, my luggage was not loaded onto the bus (even though it was tagged and sitting with the other passengers luggage). I then had to PAY to have my own luggage transported to the airport when it should have been loaded in the first place. No apology and no compensation. A little disappointing.

Excellence El Carmen: Great stay

We loved the grounds, room, food, beach, and bars- special thank you to Yonathan and Alvin at Excellence Club bar for their amazing service! Lovely beach. Temperature of swim-up pool could be warmer. Highly recommend Excellence Club category; oceanview swim-up suite. Some inconsistent service at times but good attempts to make up for this. Good size resort for all ages.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Can’t wait to go back!

This resort was immaculately kept. Guest service, comfort, quality assurance and happiness was made a priority. Food and variety was fantastic. Room was very nice and clean. So much to do on the resort , we were never board.

Grand Palladium Palace: Excellent experience!

This was the best experience I've had at any hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was great, and the service was amazing. We felt very well taken care of through and through. Highly recommended.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing

I thought the hotel was superb from the time we got to the resort till we stepped into the shuttle. Even the bell boy made sure that Air Canada came to pick us up on time. From the room which faced the beautiful long winding pool, to the almost secluded beach, to excellent staff from the bar to the restaurants to the cafe, to the very details of a very very clean tasteful room. The staff at the beach and restaurants were polite, professionally dressed and go out of their way to help. I would only recommend one thing that the food menu could be one notch better. There were no shortage of restaurants and lots of food. I suspect Dreams is doing the best with what is available and I appreciate it. I am very very happy about this resort and have already recommended to my friends.

Riu Republica: Lovely resort

\nice resort, and gardens well kept. Please feed the cat.(orange brown, very friendly) Enjoyed my stay in the resort. The shows catered to the young people,. There was 2 nights when the music catered the older generation which was very nice. Like the pool area and of course the beach. Consider to go back for my next holiday (hopefully in March Hasta la vista. -Coffee is poor quality. please improve.Thank you

Riu Republica: Fantastic Resort!

I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts, especially in the Dominican Republic and this was amazing! One of my favourite things about this adults only resort was diversity and age ranges from people in their 20s to 70s. They really cater to every age group and everyone has a great time. The beach is gorgeous and great for body surfing/boogie boarding. They have quieter pools if you just want to relax, nap or unwind and they have other pools for more activities and fun. Even though this is a l [... read more]arge resort, everything was very centrally located and never a far walk from any of the restaurants and bars everywhere! Most nights they had live music at the theater right before the show and the entertainment crew did a great job of getting people involved and having fun in the daily and nightly activities. The buffet always had great food! A La Carte restaurants were good too, but I found it a hit or miss mostly. Rooms are kept very clean, great water pressure and hot water in the showers! Disco was small, but always packed. Music could have been better; but overall a great atmosphere. All of the bartenders and servers had unbelievably great attitude and service. Never had to wait for a drink! Definitely a 5-Star Resort and would come back!

Occidental Caribe: Compact

Loved this resort. Layout is my fav, easy to get around. Gorgeous beach...but a lil too wavy to swim sometimes. Loved Pizza place and Tokio. We were premium level and the beds were awesome. We didn't catch any shows or go to the disco. Just stayed in lobby mostly lol.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Ideal Weather

Travelled as a senior couple and enjoyed our stay however this resort is more suited to families! Pluses:-our room appeared recently renovated. Everything worked and was kept spotless by the hard working maid. -grounds and pool were well maintained and always clean -food - no complaints at either the buffet or a-la-cartes. Negatives:-check in/out area and counter very small and understaffed. Took way too long. -our room in block 22 a long, long way from the beach. The shuttles were occa [... read more]sionally full or broken down. -the beach appeared to have suffered significant erosion and was very small and crowded where the lounge chairs were for the Grand Memories guests. Nothing to do with the resort, but the flight home with Sunwing was a bit of a nightmare after experiencing a 4 hour delay in departure. Stayed Nov.25 - Dec.3, 2019 Would recommend for families with children.
