Barcelo Maya Tropical: Amazing Resort!!

This was my second time at Barcelo Maya and I will be back, these resorts are amazing, clean, good food, so much to do for eveyone. I took 4 more people that had not been to Barcelo Maya, and they said it was the best place they had been to in the Mayan. No issues at all, Covid is not an issue anymore, up to you if you want to wear a mask. We stayed a week and didn't get to everything, we will be back. This was our first time flying Air Transat in many years and they were fantastic, much better [... read more] than Sunwing. We had no kids but if you do this is perfect for them, lots of activities, seperate pools, bring a floatie!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Love Love Love this place!

I have always said i would never go to the same resort twice...well i stand corrected. I would absolutely go back here again. Absolutely beautiful, so much to do, food was great, beds were comfy, staff was so friendly. The only warning i would give is that you must like to walk (which we do) because this place has soooo much to do if you are willing to take a few steps to get there. Deb

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great resort, would return

Great resort, very clean and well maintained rooms and common areas. The buffet food was actually really good in comparison to other all-inclusives I've been to in the past. There was a lot of great amenities on the resort such as snorkeling and sailing, which we enjoyed. Towards the end of our stay the seaweed that drifts up to shore was quite severe, but the resort worked hard at clearing it best they could throughout the day. I was sitting at the buffet table and the server came up and put a card in front of me to scan and stood over my shoulder telling me his name and what to write and it was rather uncomfortable. All of the front desk staff were lovely. Overall it was a great experience.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Excellent value for money

We have stayed at this resort 5 times and other all inclusive hotels well over 30 times. We travel to the PVR area 3 times per season. For it's price this resort is excellent. We love the gorgeous long beach and the boogie boarding and swimming. We sometimes choose a more expensive adults only and are disappointed in money spent for the little if no difference. We do find this resort not as great as it was but that could likely be due to the shortage of staff which is a worldwide issue.  [... read more]The staff is great with some super stand outs that make the extra effort. Lorena at the front desk, Antonio on the beach (when he isn't getting your chairs and umbrellas he is constantly cleaning up all the debris left by people on the beach ), Jose and Karen at the beach bar, Isabel in the buffets, Yesi in the piano bar, Rafael the restaurant manager just to name a few. All our service was excellent but they went the extra extra for us and our friends.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Marvelous Resort.

The Fives resort is great for couples, families large and small. I particularly liked the fact that my son his wife and the two little ones (5 & 7) and me could book a two bedroom unit. The main bedroom was included in the main part with kitchen and living area and the second bedroom was in a separate suite but we had a common main entrance. Lots and lots of pools, walkways through cenotes with monkeys and other animals, many ala carte, kids club and snacks and infinity pools at the beach. O [... read more]h and lots of bars. The grounds were immaculate and there were people working on them all the time. We had a garden/pool view and it was lovely. An occasional monkey taking a curious stroll through the main activity area and bars. The complex is large and if you are a walker a couple of rounds of the perimeter should get your steps in, Each building (which are not large and mostly 3 floors) have their own concierge who can help you with ala carte bookings, rules, layout, luggage pick up, whatever you need. Fun for everyone. I would definitely book this hotel again. And I would highly recommend a hydro and massage at the spa. Fabulous and reasonable.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!

The hotel grounds and facilities were lovely. Lots of activities on offer. Would have liked to have yoga on the beach for all sections, more drinks for diabetics (everything was sweet) but beach was amazing!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Dreams Vallarta Bay

We stayed in PVR during late April 2023. The hotel lobby is impressive and provides for wonderful views of the bay. However, you are cornered constantly by staff who want to sell you the Unlimited Vacation Package. Its not a time share....but it is. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and plenty of towels, and toiletries. The beds we did not find to be very comfortable. The swim up pool (also the activity pool) was filthy especially as you entered by the bar. I have never seen a [... read more] pool as dirty and full of hair/skin as this one. The other pool was much more clean, and so that's where I spent a lot of time. The staff was very polite, helpful, and always responded "Its my pleasure". The ocean was very rough, red flagged almost every day, so we did not spend alot of time there. Food was spectacular. The Mexican restaurant was our favourite, while the Japanese one was our least. We also spent a day next door at Secrets, and the Sushi Bar was delicious, Oceana was marvelous. But the best place was the Ice Cream shop. We were entertained by Orlando as he made our crepes. He was truly delightful. My biggest beef is with Air Canada, who cracked my luggage on my way to PVR and provided absolutely no assistance until I arrived home. Further the Air Canada Rep Hugo Ernesto Corona never showed up for our briefing with him, and he too provided no help to our luggage situation. Calls to Air Canada were pointless, frustrating and took away from my vacation. We had a very nice vacation at the Dreams Vallarta. Cleaning the pool more often during the day should be a priority.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Beach Bar

I am not sure I would classify this resort as Luxury, but 5 stars without a doubt. The rooms need updating, but served us perfectly, the AC was nice and cool, the beer in the fridge even cooler! Cleaned and restocked every day. The two ala cartes at Sian Ka'an were the best meals we ate during our weeks stay. Alux was incredible! The service at the pool bar, lounge and buffet was great. The food at the buffet was good, but majority of my plate was filled at the Mexican station in the corner - br [... read more]eakfast, lunch and dinner! A 10 min trolley ride from the beach or any other resort on the complex, we never waited more than 10 min for a ride. The Sian Ka'an private beach area deserves special mention, the beach bar was my favorite place on the property. Comfortable seating, 3 or more bartenders, relaxing music, the ocean, truly relaxing. We are in our early 30s, and there was certainly and older crowd but we never had issues finding someone to chat (or drink) with! We enjoyed our vacation, played pool volleyball 5 mornings, spend a night at the hacienda, foam party at the infinity pool. No complaints whatsoever.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Amazing staff and resort

Soon as we arrived we were greeted by the most helpful staff. Check-in was a breeze. All the staff working here were outright amazing! Theresa and Lady at the Hideaway pool always went above and beyond. Entertainment and food was outstanding!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort!

Everything at this resort is fantastic. Excellent customer service. Very clean. Lots of excellent choices for food. Nice beach, pools. Good for families, romantic getaways, friends getaways. Highly recommend

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Not too bad

A lot of people with kids. No fridge in room. Internet only in lobby and sometimes other close locations. Food is OK but only in central buffet little better - people after couple days lined up to enter there. Japanese restaurant not good. Tai and Brazilian very good. Italian like a sprint - "please eat your food fast and go". Italian salmon are great but small portion for big guy - not good. Staff are friendly . Tours not provided by resort, but company you bought tour and 3-4 times overpric [... read more]ed(300-400 dollars). Through airport tour guys normal pricing 30-70 dollars including lunch. Tours through nearest tour guy(on front of resort) not healthy . Girl told me do not take some sea tour because of food and transportation poor. Also mosquitos in mountains.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Must read!!

I got kicked out of the pool area (akumal) for sitting on their chairs because apparently you can go to the other resorts (4 in 1), but you can’t use the other pools or anything on the resort... I was not informed when checking in, I got so embarrassed. Majority of their meat is pork, I thought they’d have a decent amount of beef / chicken options but no. Most of the food/restaurants are not good, part of the buffet was decent but the breakfast was my favourite. All they served was pasta, n [... read more]ot enough rice or salad options. The staff were great, Marcos (air Canada rep) was absolutely amazing & super friendly. They hardly played Spanish music, they played majority Canadian/American radio music. There are not enough chairs to sit by the pool. People will lay their towels down & leave to go eat so they can come back later if they want & have a spot. The pools were beautiful but closed too early, before the sun even sets 6 or 7 pm. Overall decent resort, I would probably stay somewhere else if I ever came to Mexico again.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Amazing Amazing Amazing

This was a trip of a life time. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing. The food was amazing. The grounds were amazing. Everyone was so nice. We definitely will be back to the resort. Loved every minute. Highly recommend

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Good resort

Beautiful hotel nice rooms , great staff great food and drinks. Reservations app didn’t like at least it not at midnight anymore but still very difficult to get a reservation and you still need your phone for eating at the restaurant for lunch or supper. Witch I don’t like because when I’m on vacation I don’t want to use my phone. Beach is very nice but they have a problem with feces washing up on the beach every day

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Great family vacation

Great family holiday. Service was amazing, food was good, hotel was clean (was worried about the musky smell I keep reading about but luckily we didn't experience it). Very family friendly, lots of entertainment. Fun characters and entertainment even at breakfast. Would definitely go again. Only thing I would note which didn't impact my stay in any way is that they have cut corners with building the resort and at two years old, it is showing some signs of age. Other than that, we loved it. Lobby [... read more] is gorgeous, staff are SO friendly, and facilities are lovely. Kids were obsessed with kids pool - cabanas, restaurants and bar service all in the proximity so it was easy to spend hours there.

Allegro Cozumel: Great holiday

Overall this hotel checked all the boxes , very clean , super friendly staff and beautiful grounds . Food is limited in selection but what they do have all tasted great . Smaller resort , easy to navigate . Rooms are on the small side so if sharing with more than 1 might not be good room selection for you .

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Really good food and really nice people!

Let me first start by saying if your uncomfortable speaking spanish or trying to speak spanish then this might not be the place for you. We have very limited spanish and most of the staff doesnt have very good english but we always made it work and got what we needed or wanted with a little extra work. They had mexican night (all in spanish) but it didnt matter we had such a blast watching the dancers and the comedian. Everyone had a really great night. I have been to all inclusives before and the food is generally boring and blah to accomodate a multitude of palates... but this was flavorful! The selection was small but there was always something good to eat! The crepe cart was dessert for the evening nightly. The beach was really nice and not a lot of people on it. Rooms were clean. It was a 3star but a solid we would 100 percent go back to 3 star. Next time my husband and I will learn more spanish though so we can communicate with everyone better.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very big resort

The resort was huge with alot of walking. When walking the golf carts almost hit you as they don't slow down. Food was good. Service was good. Not much of a night life. Rooms are nothing special. Money went missing from my roommates wallet.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful resort

We had a Penthouse suite, so spacious and loved the Jucczzi in the evening. The La Carte were all excellent, Alux was our favourite. Pools were all great, we were at the quiet pool everyday. The room was made up everyday and fridge restock. The staff is wonderful and all smiles, This was our first time at Sain Ka’an.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great getaway!

We booked at Coba and it was a great getaway. We left our child at home and she would have appreciated the resort as very child friendly. It is not right on the ocean so trolly or 10min walk in high heats. Plenty of food options. The resort is massive and can be overwhelming. Booking with Tripcentral was awesome and we will do it again. They were in constant contact and great to deal with.
