Hotel Playa Coco: Nice resort for the price!

I was there for 11 days with my family and overall can say it was great vacation. If you are a picky person about food then this is not the place for you but not sure if CUBA is for you at that point either?? My room was clean and proper and was not missing anything during my stay. I did send an e-mail to the hotel prior to arriving stating that I would be arriving (for the second time) and would like a nice room for me and my family. This was a good idea cause I received a complimentary bottle  [... read more]of Rum in my room when we arrived. We also were invited to a nice private supper by the pool for dinner on one evening during our stay. The staff are all very friendly and I especially enjoyed the great staff at the beach bar. Michael who was taking care of our chairs on the beach is a great guy to meet if you go. Some negative aspects are that the pool was dirty and the service is very slow, (Cuba standards). Kids loved the ice cream parlor and we also enjoyed the restaurants. The Tokyo restaurant was great but NO Air-Conditioning made it very tough to enjoy...(small set back in my book). Over all I really enjoyed my stay at this resort and recommend it to anyone with a family who doesn't want to break the bank and enjoy an nice 10 day vacation.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Worse than advertised

We were prepared for a three star, as advertised, since we were only going to be there for a few days, we could have handled boring food, or smaller accommodations. But we were almost at the end of our rope after only just one day! If you were lucky enough to find a bartender that could mix a drink, they probably didn't have the ingredients required (e.g. - there was no wine at all). The husband loves authentic Cuban mojitos and only got one on the first night. After that when he asked, they jus [... read more]t shook their head 'no'. We stayed in one of the older, smaller bungalows and there were numerous gaps to the outside and we ended up absolutely COVERED in bug bites. The bed broke for no apparent reason - it was likely already broken and band-aided together. The air conditioner kept shutting off for periods of time and we couldn't make it come back on, like maybe they programed it that way. There was a key to the safe that also required a code, which was the room number (given on the tag) plus the letter A - so everyone's were the same, don't lose it! We actually left the breakfast buffet one morning because there was almost nothing left and it was only halfway through service. I thought a juice and a coffee would do the trick but the juice was all gone and so were the coffee cups. The only table service we saw the whole time was at the a la carte. Speaking of buffet, in the 7 times we've been to Cuba, we have never had to stand in line to wait for a table to get in to the buffet. We asked for an a la carte for our last evening and they were reluctant to give it because they don't like to have to re-set the tables. We insisted that we didn't mind waiting and that it was our last night after all and she allowed it. The after hours snack bar was a basket of ham and cheese sandwiches sitting out on a table - we didn't try any of those. There was garbage blowing around everywhere. There were no wifi cards for the first two days. So for this and other similar things, they wanted us to walk down the beach to the next resort and get what we need from them. I asked if we were allowed to use their services too, but no. Maybe during peak season they have a two star capacity but this was more like a 1 star. Someone seriously needs to re-evaluate this resort's star rating.

Overall good Food okay for cuba Nice room...clean Pool lacked cleaning Grounds a little rugged Could use daily clean up crews everywhere...sloppy. Under Construction areas As they say..cheep & cheerful. My children and I would go back

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly Cuba

This was our second stay at the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Guillermo. We were relieved that nothing much had changed. We love the location, the people and the rum in Cuba. Our room was clean and we'll kept daily. I would have liked the floors a little cleaner but this was no sticking point for us. The buffet food is the best as the stand alone restaurants leave a little bit to be desired in terms of the quality of the food. Staff were excellent though. My only complaint would be that the hotel l [... read more]eft an invitation for repeat customers to attend a lobster dinner the night we had departed. Our flight out was at 10 am and the dinner was for that night. Guest Services did not have our departure info when the letter was delivered to our room. All I all we would return to this location and would give this hotel a solid 4 out of 5.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, from the rooms to the dining and the facilities, snack bars it was great. The entertainment was superb, in addition to the theater which had great singers the resort also had activities and singers by the pool, the piano bar was great from the guitarist to the pianist to the sax player they sure had us occupied for the evening . Also a couple of days you had no pizza, as after 3 o'clock the dining area is closed. Overall the vacation was great and dining staff were always there in an instant to clear the tables and help you in any way.

Melia Costa Rey: It was an Amazing vacation

The hotel was very very clean the service was excellent the workers were very polite respectful and very very friendly my family and friends had a wonderful time. It was my first time visiting Cuba and i have no regrets i am planning on going again

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Third time in this hotel

It's my third time in this hotel. 2 times 10 years ago - was amazing. This time - good In a nutshell: people working really hard to make your vacation nice. Very compact and convenient for all activities. Facilities are very dated, didn't like the beach, luck of activities during the day. Reception: poor. Servers - outstanding. Room: very dated, but our cleaning lady was amazing.

Melia Costa Rey: AMAZING RESORT

WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME. FRIENDLY PEOPLE. LOTS OF ACTIVITIES ON AND OFF THE RESORT. BE PREPARE TO PAY FOR SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES AS THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED, BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT. FOOD WAS GOOD!!! YES, THEY HAVE EVERY KIND OF FOOD- LOVE THE CHIEFS!! I GOT MY MEALS PREPARE BY THE CHIEFS JUST THE WAY I WANTED IT. RESORT WAS CLEAN. NIGHTLY PERFORMANCES WERE AMAZING. THE WEATHER WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE STAFF AT PULLMAN! KEEP US THE GREAT JOB.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good place to relax

The place was moderately clean, well-maintained. The staff are nice, the food is decent. Daily entertainment was not good, However, the show at night was better. There's not much of dancing for younger people though.

Hi Kelly! Thanks for setting up a great holiday to Cuba for my son and I, and in less than 24 hrs before the vacation. Great job!! Sunwing took great care of us. We were even able to set up a one day flight trip to Havana. We will definetly call you for our next vacation.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort.

We spent the week of July 24th to 31st, 2017, at this hotel, building one, second floor, ocean view. Overall I liked this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The rooms were spacious and always kept clean, and the air conditioning made me sigh in relief each time I walked into the room. The maids were very nice and helpful, extra pillow, no problem!! The pool was large, clean and beautiful. The grounds were well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. There would be a few additions that would help it immensely. Firstly, a purchase of some ceiling fans. I appreciate that we're in a really hot country, but the buffet sometimes was too hot to enjoy your meal. Ceiling fans would help in there so much. Secondly, being a smoker on the balcony, a handle on the outside of the balcony door would be helpful. The air conditioning in the room was fantastic but caused condensation on the outside of the door, making it impossible to open from the outside. The food was okay. I did not starve. I'm not a big seafood eater, so there was a lot I didn't partake in. The pasta bar (and the pasta maker) kept me full all week. He did this with a gigantic smile on his face, although the sweat was just dripping off him. Also enjoyed the breakfast, omelette spot was good, line ups not bad. This chef again did it with a smile on his face and a shimmy to his egg flipping. I would go back there again!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Repeat guests x 6 and will return again!

Staff were excellent. Upgrade to ocean view suite in building 18 was well worth it. Management was present and visible throughout the week. We will return next year for our 7th stay at this hotel. Thanks MJDR.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic Beach!

Our room was not ready by 4pm. Room towels were disgusting with stains. Bedsheets, pillow cases and blankets were smelly. Our soft drinks were refilled daily except for one day where they ran out. The cooked vegetables at the buffet were always over cooked. The rice were under cooked. Their pina colada drinks were powdery. The food at the snack bar was great! Hotel Camino del Mar: Amazing Resort

The hotel was wonderful! Clean and updated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing stay and the beach has no words... stunning especially with the walk out on the water. Very picturesque. The resort is seconds to the beach. The upgraded my room the same day and also gave me a bottle of rum. The food was very good. A la carte was wonderful. Overall, I would definitely come back. It was wonderful

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Cuba Solo 2017

Beach was beautiful. Service was excellent. Pool and the grounds were nice. Food was good. Options to travel to clubs, a club on site would be more convenient however, this setup is what I prefer. I can go to a club back home and the option is available there, it just differs the socializing experience having it off site. Shows/activities were entertaining. They were as inclusive as you choose to make them and the staff made good cases when convincing you to participate.

We spent a week from July 12 to 19. Beautiful hotel; some units are still in construction. Excellent food and wine (from Spain). Modern room. Nice beach with many palapas. I have nothing negative on the Pullman.

Melia Costa Rey: Pullman Cayo Coco

Hello, Visited Cuba and stayed at the Pullman in July 2017. I found the hotel to be lovely, although I think the customer service could be improved. The facial expressions of the staff did not seem very friendly at all, I felt like I was bothering them at times. It was nice to have many pools to choose from, which also meant more chairs, although you needed to be there pretty early to get chairs under shade. The beach was a little disappointing. It was very very weedy in the area we were a [... read more]nd the shells were not ground up so you needed to be careful or you could cut your feet. Our room was lovely but I don't think they did very much sweeping or dusting, there was a pile of dust and hair when we arrived and was still there when we left. I can't say for sure whether we would return to this hotel in the future, but we will definitely return to Cuba. This was our second family vacation to Cuba and my children and I had a wonderful time. I know that some things can be disappointing and may not be as other hotels visited in the past, but we still had a fantastic time. It was a vacation, we had the sunshine, relaxation, drinks, food, excursions. I think this hotel still has kinks to work out, but I think customer service should be better than it was especially with it being rated a 5*. The question of would I recommend this hotel, I can't really say yes or no I would explain our experience. It depends on what the people are looking for when travelling.

Hotel Mojito: Geat resort, great staff!

night show is amazing, beach is beautiful, tables always set up nice and clean, room is good size and comfortable, plenty food...Because there are some lakes between the rooms and the beach, so lots of mosquitos in the early evening, need prepare enough mosquito spray.

We loved our week long stay at memories flamenco beach resort! Wonderful view, beach, pool, and overall ressort. Enjoyed our stay very much. The food was delicious and there were a variety of options. We enjoyed the entertainment and loved the sunny weather!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointing

This was our fourth trip to Cuba, so we felt that we had our expectations in check. We bring extras to survive the culinary challenges and go to Cuba for the beaches and the people. Unfortunately after this experience, I don't know if I will ever return to Cuba again. The resort did not meet our expectations, and although we travelled for much less than we usually do during March break, what good is a vacation when you are counting down the days to get the hell out of there? Absolutely no selection and they ran out of staples (orange juice, mangos, pineapples, gin, ice cream at the ice cream parlour, chicken, shrimp etc.) The restaurants were a constant topic among the guests as most people left during their meal. Pulling something off the buffet and writing "Cuba" in ketchup just doesn't cut it. Every person we associated with during our stay had some form of food poisoning while we were there. The resort is misrepresented on line. The first room they put us in was absolutely disgusting! I didn't even want to sleep in it for a single night. Stains everywhere on everything, holes in linens, unbelievable. This was nothing like the rooms pictured on line. After complaints, the run-around, and promises about the review I'd write when I got home, we did get a room change the next day, but what a way to start off our holiday. I will never visit a Memories resort again and may never venture back to this island. The beach was beautiful, but you had to get a chair by 8:30 am or you were out of luck heaven forbid they let you use one from the "exclusive diamond club" section that had a total of 3 couples there the whole week and a plethora of beach chairs and space. As I said very disappointed by this resort.
