Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great time with great people
We had a great time at the luxury bahia principe. Hotel was well maintained and food at a la carte restraints was excellent especially the don Pablo. We met some awesome people on the grand side and spent a good amount of our time there as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Awesome jerk chicken.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing Resort!
Love this resort, the hotel is well maintained and beautiful. The staff is what made our vacation amazing, special thanks to Josephine in the loby area. The food is good but sometimes a little over salted. Gorgeous beach surrounded by palm trees. I will definitely go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good times...
Hotel was massive (but I knew this as I have been before). Very clean and well kept. Rooms are spacious and again, clean. Food was fine- not gourmet but that's not what I went for. Always something good to eat and the pasta bar is always there in case you can't.
Beach is beautiful but very busy.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Trip of a lifetime!
The resort was amazing. Everyone was friendly and the facilities and grounds were well kept. The entertainers were excellent especially Jhonny, Luis, Alexander and JC. It would have been nice to have a schedule of where and when different things were going on. We stayed at Ambar Green and were disappointed that the nightlife died at 11:30pm. We thought an adults only meant single adults but most were couples. But...we would go back again!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic all around
I have come here for many years now and year after the quality improves. Everything from the food, to the service, and organization. I would also like to express my gratitude to the food staff for the unique and fantastic food along with the waitressing/service team. Ramon was phenomenal.
Also a huge thank you to Aurora, thanks to her I received a real birthday just exclusively for myself. The hotel wasn't aware of my birthday however she took the time to find out and as a result set up a bea[... read more]utiful special service in my room.
One point of improvement would be for the hotel to know that it is the patrons birthday and to provide something special. As this would've made the great experience that much better.
I would like to kindly ask for more lounge chairs. If you come after 10am you would be out of luck and would have to look elsewhere.
The room service was great, always very clean and cleaned in a timely manner as well.
Thank you once again for a wonderful stay for the 5th time in a row!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Huge, But amazing resort!
Very large, beautiful grounds, lots to do but it is not on the beach. They have trolleys to take you around the 4 resorts and to the beach. (20 min. walk from Building 17 which is the furthest building away!) Great food, lots of entertainment, most of the staff are friendly except for a few at the front desk! Excellent service in most restaurants. Pools are very large and clean. Rooms are large and clean but very damp.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Targeted for 40+ crowd
Just got back(btw never go in November - the rain and cloudiness ruins the vacation) and the services and amenities were nice but there is not much to do outside the resort and lobby bars close at 11pm. The resort is filled most with old people or couples with kids.
Rooms are spacious and drinks as promised are top shelf.
Tv is small, like 29 inches and gets 2 Channels that are clear.
We enjoyed our entire week. First time every to experience adults only resort. We enjoyed all of the restaurants we able to get reservations for.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely share this location to friends and family members.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Paradise!
I will start with the flaw, the one flaw. The bed was too hard. The 3 other ladies I travelled with felt the same but were not affected in the same manner as myself because I have existing lower back issues. However, all things considered, it did not ruin my trip and I will tell you why.
The grounds were immaculate, staff was very friendly (contrary to several reviews I read stating otherwise). The room was spotless and lovely and the maid staff made sure we were fully stocked each day with a[... read more]ll coffees, teas, water, etc... the shower is to die for (rainfall shower head), and the hallways/ common areas were also very well kept. We had no issues with either of our rooms. The entertainment staff (pool area) were fabulous. Not pushy but got you up out of your seat to participate in dancing, water activities, Zumba, and even a spin class in the pool. The pool and surrounding area were the cleanest I have ever experienced and everywhere you look is beautiful. Lots of covered areas (umbrellas, canopied lounge chairs) and an ample amount of chairs so there was no worry that you wouldn’t find one. They hosted a beach party and a champagne jacuzzi party on 2 of the evenings so there’s a nice mixture of events as well as nightly shows. The disco is in the village area of the resort so you can choose to participate or not but are not affected by it if you choose not to. It was by far the best resort disco I have ever experienced and I highly recommend it even if you’re not a big “party goerâ€. It was a great experience. The food was good and the selection varied each evening as the theme changes daily but they did have some constant offerings so if you find something you really like, chances are you will get it again.
I enjoyed this resort and all that it has to offer so much that I have decided to have my wedding here next year. I don’t know of anything better than that to express how amazing of a time we had and we can’t wait to return.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Decent Vacation
First I have to thank Nita at tripcentral.ca for her work in booking our vacation to the Cayacoa. She notified the resort that we were traveling there for our anniversary and the resort responded with nicely decorated table for our anniversary dinner and a happy anniversary signage on our room door . Nita has come through for us every time we have booked with her. Now for the resort.
PRO's
The alacarts were delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly.
The room in the R[... read more]oyal service area was quiet with an ocean view.
The maids did a great job keeping our room clean and tidy.
The shuttle drivers were always friendly and never expected a tip for their services but we always gave them one.
The buffet was very good and the meal on Gala night was an added bonus with the lobster and other shell fish.
CON'S
Too many stairs to every where, I think there were a 100+ stairs from our room to the pool.
Pool is too small.
Wifi only in lobby, I think if you pay the extra for Royal Service you should have it included in your room.
Royal Service, for what you get it is just not worth it. The Royal service lounge is just a room with cookies and a couple of computers, and I thought a consierge was a person who personally took care of you and not just a person you never see when you call them.
A lot of construction work happening while we were there.
While the beach that is at the bottom of the elevator is ok the other one in the Royal service area is not a beach at all but rather small areas of sand between trees overhanging the water.
The staff at front desk were excellent and responded to your needs or requests right away.
This hotel is a very nice looking hotel that is kept very clean. The surrounding area is picturesque . While I would rate this hotel as very good I am not sure I would return. Because of all the stairs there really is not a lot of places to go for walks at night and that is something my wife and I like to do and sometimes it felt a little closed in. We wanted to see the Samana area and now we have . Also we went on the excursion to El Limon waterfall, and I would say it is over rated, the area where you can swim is small with a very rocky bottom, and the trail for the horses is full of large rocks and I don't know how the horses don't get hurt walking on it , I would not do this excursion again and I could not recommend it to anyone who cared about a horse.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: VERY disappointing
Our stay was disappointing we heard so much good things about the resort but didn't live up to it in some categories the room we first had was infested with mosquitoes my self got aleast 100 bites on the bottom of my legs my grandchildren also got laden with many bites from their room as well the bites made my last 3 days there very unpleasant when they finally got us a room change they called us at 2am and were upset that we aren't ready for the room unbelievable 3days in a row I had to [... read more]call after 5pm had to call down as our Room had not been cleaned or stalked with new towels pretty bad when it came to booking our a la cartes they said the restaraunts we had chose were booked but when some of our family went as we were down there for my sons wedding there were many empty tables that pissed me off so another disappointment
We always had trouble with our keys had to get new keys at least 6 times very annoying the day of the wedding we lost power on our room had to wait for maintenance which put us behind for the wedding
We were so looking forward to our holiday for our sons wedding it came home very disappointed
The pool area and beach area were beautiful other than that We would not recommend it

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Bad experience at Bahia Principe Cayacoa
A 2 weeks family vacation at the end of October 2017. We have booked a sea view room. The view from the balcony was very nice ... unfortunately was the only positive thing at the hotel. The food was average ... the drinks selection poor, the beach a desaster. Around the hotel and on the breadge garbage everywhere ... the experience was so bad that we had changed the hotel after 2 days.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: I really wanted to enjoy this vacation...
The resort is beautifully kept, the pools are large and very nice. We booked this resort basically for the Kids Club and the Waterpark (this is actually an excellent waterpark for kids, it's huge with many different slides), this was our first time going on vacation with the kids (my granddaughter who is 8 and my grandson who is almost 2). When we went to look at the Kids Club to see if we felt comfortable leaving the 2 year old, we were told that it was only for "Privileged" members and not a[... read more]vailable for us. Um, What?? I didn't notice that advertised when we were selecting the resort. Also the day before we arrived they shut the kids waterpark down for maintenance and it opened back up on our last day :( - it opened for the morning, only to be shut down again after lunch.
When I complained about the waterpark being closed, the resort managers did what they could to try make up for this inconvenience, I do applaud them for that.
The resort is very large, we booked the upgraded rooms as part of the "Royal Golden" upgrade, this means that you get a robe, slippers, free use of the safe (otherwise the safe if $5 a day) and an additional ala Carte. it also means that you are in the villas that are the furthest away from the buffet and a bit of a walk from the pool. When I asked about changing rooms to be closer to the food and pool I was told I would be downgrading, so we stayed where we were. The rooms in Royal Golden are exactly the same as other rooms, so I'm not sure the "upgrade" was worth it as we ended up being so far from the main attractions of the resort.
The ala Carte restaurants were fabulous, our favorite by far was Le Gourmet, then Don Pablo then the Italian restaurant. The Japanese show cooking restaurant which is always a huge draw was closed when we were there :(
The manager that I dealt with when discussing the closure of the waterpark were very helpful and followed up to see if everything else was going ok. We had a fabulous waiter in the buffet, Jose, but other than that I have to say in general the staff was not super friendly, we often had to wait a long time for coffee/water after we sat down and an especially long time for high chairs for the 2 year old (this was super difficult as all he wanted to do was run around free). One time they didn't bring the high chair until our meal was almost over :(
When we have been at resorts before (Mexico and Cuba) the staff had been the most outstanding part of our stays. They are very friendly, helpful and remember you when you are a repeat customer during your week there. I think the biggest problem in this regard at this resort is that it is maybe just too big for the resort staff to care much.
We did have a big leak from our ceiling at 10:30 pm (air conditioning leak I think?), I called and someone was there to fix it very quickly.
As this resort is not on the beach we only did book it as it looked like the best option for the kids. We knew we could get the trolley to the beach. Unfortunately wait times for the trolley's was often quite long whether you were going to the beach or to your room if it was late or you were just too tired after all of the walking during the day.
We did stay at BP Akumal last year and it was excellent, I assumed we would have the same experience at Coba, but we didn't.
I don't think I would return to BP Coba.
