El Dorado Maroma: The Best Resort

On Oct.18th my husband and I flew down to Mexico and spent 10 amazing nights at El Dorado Maroma 40 minutes outside of Cancun. We have stayed in many all inclusive resorts but this one was absolutely the best. The staff were amazing. Liz and Oscar our butlers, The chefs and restaurant staff; Artruo, Chepina, Inoibe, Hector, to name a few. Our beach butler was terrific and so were the grounds crew and cleaning staff. The beach was as wonderful as advertised. The food was upscale and outstanding. We will absolutely return to this resort.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Fabulous resort

The resort was just what we wanted. The staff went out of their way and were very friendly. The food was good. though I think my husband came home with a parasite we will probably not return to Mexico

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very good resort for family with kids

The resort was wonderful with very helpful staff for myself. I booked with trip central through air Canada vacations. Eve the AC rep was very helpful to get a wheelchair ready for me at the different airports. And Juan the conseairage made sure i was on first floor near everything. As for the rest of the wedding party that booked separately. Flew AC and booked through the hotel it was a feasco with 2 little girls. Beach had large rocks in water that sometimes toes stubbed. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal-Mayan Riviera

We just spent a week at this resort and we cannot wait to return. First of all, the grounds are amazing, everything is impeccably tidy and beautiful. The entire resort is spotless, never once did I use the public washroom or eat in any of the restaurants and feel that it was dirty. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Small details like remembering our names and faces, and remembering favorite drinks were just some of the highlights. The pools are clean and b [... read more]eautiful. The activity staff are fun and do their absolute best to engage all ages in fun around the pool and on the beach. The food at the buffet was delicious and their is something for everyone, no matter how picky of an eater one could be. The a la carte restaurants serve top notch food with beautiful presentation. Our group was 11 people ranging from age 5 to 50 and there was something here for everyone. The Mexican people are very hard working and eager to please. This is my 8th all inclusive and 7th time to Mexico and by far it is THE BEST resort we have ever gone to. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Bahia!!!

The Sens Riviera: Disappointed ,not new hotel,not 5 star hotel, more like 3 star hotel with poor management

Hi,18 of us came on October 17th to Sunscape Akumal Sun club and stayed for a week. Hotel has nice sandy beach but entry into water has sharp rocks ( hardened corals).Water is crystal clear. Maintaining beach is very poor,never seen anybody cleaning beach except accumulated sea weed . No one is cleaning around beach lounges that are old and fabric stretched so you could feel frame .Good thing is that they offer you and collect towels regularly .No guard rails on stairs to the beach, on [... read more]e man fell There is no sport activities or animation by the pool or on the beach.Also there is no entertainment except movie projected on the wall of hotel and disco that is too loud and near family section Hotel is advertised as new but in reality it is somewhat renovated.Main lobby and rooms are good, modern with wi-fi available throughout resort.Keeping it all clean is not the greatest. We had a lot of problems with room 2135 facing wall and open hallways looking into our room as well as having bolted doors to balcony that was non existing .There was no light bulb by bedside light,there was no working iron or slippers for sun club guests. We lost 3 days of beach and relaxing trying to fix that with sun club manager Lois.He was not ready to help with any issues.We asked to change room because I felt there was no privacy when you face open hallways and everyone going by can see in your room. Yes, there were some darkening curtains that didn't cover the whole window. Imagine that you had to close curtains every time you change or go to shower or bathroom, not very pleasant. By the way doors to bathroom and shower are glass and washroom and bath tub are together in one room. When we talked to Sun club manager Louis on second day of our stay, he said that there were no available rooms to change and yet we bypassed a group of 20-25 people waiting to get their rooms.His explanation was that they were booked and can-not give us new room, he treated us as ours was not booked. When I worked I was manager as well so I told him what was customer service, that first come get resolved problems first.I think he needs more management training with customer service and customer satisfaction to ensure customer coming and returning are satisfied. At the end after my demanding to change room 3rd day instead of 4th or sand me back with payed flight back home and full refund he offered another room the next day after 3 pm,which happened at 6:00-6:30 pm Another lost day of vacation,total 3 of 7 days staying. New room was not the greatest but was better than first one.What to say about service in the room?They started cleaning our room at 6:15 pm when we came to take shower and get ready for dinner. Beds were maid and floor cleaned but nothing else done. Bar fridge story is similar, not replenishing with soda water and beer what we asked for instead of coke,sprite and similar drinks full of sugar . On bright side, barmen by the pool on the beach and lobby were great,they were knowledgeable( the older ones), sorry didn't get their names but they were rewarded for their great service. Food choices and service was great in buffet.Food was also great at a la cart restaurants but slow service. We were group of 18 people, we paid the same price but some got great rooms with balcony and jacuzzi, some with just balcony and some with just basics like us plus with a lots of problems ( for the same money). In all honesty hotel needs more educating stuff and teaching them how to satisfy customers as well as to fix some problematic areas.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Resort!

My boyfriend and I recently came here for his 40th birthday and we absolutely loved it! He has stayed at a few other resorts and this was his favourite one so far. The staff were funny, outgoing and very attentive. The resort was beautiful, clean and very safe. The beach was great and we loved that you could just walk it for a couple of hours. We stayed in the El Beso swim up and loved it. We were surprised at how quiet it really is when the doors are closed and the party was going on. Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Very nice resort

My husband and myself liked the resort very much. The room was gorgeous. Food was one of the best we’ve ever had. Beach was just ok. Very rocky with seaweed. The water was very dirty. Tried swimming in it was not comfortable. There wasn’t very much night life. We stayed in the Royal service side. Loved that part of it. Very nice pool. Had a very nice Butler named Angel. Stayed eight days had an amazing time with friends. This resort is listed as a five star. I wouldn’t give it m [... read more]ore then a four. I have no complaints about the resort because we got such a great deal.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Resort!

The Sandos Caracol Eco Resort provided a great place for a vacation. We were in the Adults Only Select Club. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained- I would prefer a different shower head with a better spray but thats the only concern. Adult pool was well worth the extra money as well as the Adult a la carte Brazilian Restaurant-Vanessa, Enrique and Luis were great. Beach Club House was a great surprise. The ocean water access was rocky but beach was well maintained. Visited the Italian  [... read more]a la carte twice as it was great. Steak & Fish a la carte wonderful too! My biggest issue was the bugs! As its in a jungle area they were always present and were always hungry. Great free activities such as Eco Tour, cenote swim and animals. If it wasn't for the bugs I would go back again.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: El Dorado Seaside Suites

We sought out a resort which would not only allow us to relax but would also provide an elevated dining experience. El Dorado definitely delivered on all counts! The staff were wonderful and aimed to please. In a resort with 600 rooms there are 1200 staff members. The culinary staff put pride into their work and it showed on the plate. The overall experience provided us with the most relaxing vacation we have ever had.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Family Vacation

This was our 9th vacation to a Grand Bahia resort. We love them! However this trip was not among my favorite. While nothing happened to make the experience bad we just noticed that on the weekend when the locals were let into the resort that our service fell short. I had not knowingly experienced them being let on the resort before and this time it was obvious that they were there. Once the weekend was over our experience was up to par again! The resort itself was beautiful as always and well kept. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking but to each their own I suppose. The food was not bad, some days it was cold when eating in the buffet. The room was always tidy and the staff were wonderful. Evening entertainment was great, the Circus Show is awesome. All in all, I love Grand Bahia Principe resorts and although it was not my favorite trip this time, I will return!!!

Amazing staff, We were taken care by the best staff "Angel" he was providing everything we needed.As well as the food was amazing I'm actually missing my morning omelette at the buffet LOL. We will definitely come back for this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: gorgeous resort

My stay at Bahia Principe in Mexico was the most luxurious holiday I have experienced. Our hotel was beautiful and clean. The food was so delicious. All the A la carte restaurants were top notch. The presentation was as impressive as the taste. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. I can’t wait to visit again.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great vacation!

This was our first time in Mexico and our first all-Inclusive resort in years. The grounds and facilities were immaculate and very clean. The majority of the staff were excellent and took very good care of us. There were a couple of points about the resort that I had issue with however. First of all, I did not care for the Dolphinarium onsite. I was very surprised that in this day and age that they continue to have dolphins in captivity in a very small pool. This is something that I do not supp [... read more]ort and do not understand why the resort would continue this practice. Please end this. My other issue is that the activities are not available after 5pm. While we were there it felt like 41 degrees in the daytime so it was not cool enough to play games until later in the day. It would be nice to have access to the table tennis, bocce ball etc in the evening hours. The mini putt is free during the day but after 7pm it is available for $15 US per person to “pay for the lights”. Seriously? I can play mini putt here at home for $7 CAD per person. All of the activities in the 24 hour sports bar had a cost and were quite expensive. I would have expected that there would have been some activities there that were included. The buffet was fairly good however I would have liked more of a selection of Mexican food. The buffet heavily catered to the American palate. The restaurant food was excellent, especially the teppenaki, Italian and seafood restaurant. We took a half day fishing trip and had an amazing time and caught some really big fish including a barracuda and two large mahi mahi. Overall we had a very good experience at this resort and would recommend it to others.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: wonderful resort

Everything was exceptional except the view from your room in the gardenview area. It is not a gardenview but rather a swamp with trees with a bad smell coming from it. Could not sit out on your balcony

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: Paradisus La Perla

The resort was beautiful. The beach was a bit disappointing, too much seaweed and dangerous water levels. The pool entertainment was great along with the food and drinks. The resort Israel’s was huge so the first day a lot of time was spent wandering around. The maid serve was always great as they came 2 times a day

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great stay

We just got back from our 7 day stay at Bahia Principe Tulum and it was very good. We would rate our experience as 4/5 for the following reasons: Pros: - the grounds are impeccably kept - each meal at the buffet had a large selection of food options - the pizza at dinner was especially good (very different from the lunch pizzas) - the Queen show was great - the Abba tribute group was amazing as well (same lead singer as Queen) - the flank steak at the Mexican a la carte was perfectly c [... read more]ooked and tasty - the fried rice at the teppanaki restaurant was so flavorful - the weeks activities were clearly scheduled and displayed in numerous places so it was easy to know what's happening, when and where Cons: - we were given a room with 2 double beds as opposed to the king room we booked - the double bed room had a door that connected to the adjacent room which made the walls seem paper thin, I mean so thin that you could hear luggage being zipped/unzipped. - when we changed rooms on the third day (to a king room) the AC was not working. It was 30+ and the AC was absolutely necessary. It was fixed (after numerous calls to the front desk) within 24 hours however this made for one extremely uncomfortable night. - the beach floor was quite rocky in places (apparnetly expected due to proximity to coral reef). Water shoes would be a good idea - drink service in the buffets was slacking at times Other: - our room was reasonably cleaned each day - staff were friendly and helpful - we received the best buffet drink service from Israel. - We visited Coba on occasion and it was much busier, we're glad we chose tulum. There was plenty to do but without the overwhelming crowds. - The beach, while not huge, was pleasant and quiet, although it could have used some activities on the beach (if you're on the beach you're kind of isolated and unaware of what's happening). - The water was great, they have barriers to break the waves so the water coming in is fairly calm. - We were happy that Tulum was very close to the Hacienda Doña Isabel, only a 5 minute walk. - The magic show was AMAZING! We would return.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Already wanna go back!

The resort was beautiful and had a more authentic feel. You really feel like you’re in the rainforest with the surrounding lush trees and wild animals roaming the grounds. Staff were extremely friendly, although beware of them trying to convince you to opt into a timeshare. The food was delicious, some of which I would pay to eat back home! Bartenders would you make you special drinks, I asked for something fruity and they would surprise me with something different every time. The pools are cl [... read more]ean and beautiful but the beach is even better. I was worried about it being a fake beach as it is private but it connects to the ocean so there are beautiful fish and clear waters. I went with my boyfriend and it was the ultimate couple’s retreat but I could also see it as a great place for families.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Flawless!!!

What can I say that hasn’t been said. This resort ticks all the boxes. It is so well run and well staffed that every detail is taken care of. This is such a comfortable resort in every way - the ultimate in relaxation. This was our 3rd vacation here in 6 years. We will be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort - Customer Service needs improvement.

The facility and grounds are very nice and well kept. The pool area is clean and neat. The food selection is great. Customer service is poor and needs much improvement. The room was kept ‘tidy’ at best with little attention.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Resort

They hotel was great, friendly staff food was great. Beach area was ok a little rocky and some sea weed. The rooms where spacious and comfortable. The eco resort was great lots to do on the resort shows where entertaining. There are animals are all around which was cool. The resort was clean and well taken care off. We stayed in the adult section only complaint is they should accommodate a little more on this section. My overall review is 4 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend great for family's.
