Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful resort

This resort was amazing. Food was good drinks were good and service was great. The entertainment staff were extremely Friendly and so much fun. The maids were very good and kept the rooms very clean. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic resort!

The staff was very friendly all week long. They made us feel very welcome . The resort is fantastic and clean. The pool was great and he beach just amazing! Will definitely go back there. The rooms were clean and comfortable

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing Resort!!!

Myself and my boyfriend just got back from this resort! We had the most amazing time, our rooms were spotless, the buffet was great and the workers were the best part of the trip! Only issue was the men had to wear pants at the A La Cartes which we did not bring, we were actually sat at one of the restaurants and were asked to leave because the men never had pants on, that was the only thing that was bad about our trip! We can't wait to come back for another trip!

Small Fantastic resort, Quick to get from one location to another, good food, Amazing staff, facilities are clean and maintained, rooms are comfortable and clean. Would definitely return back to Memories Caribe, Cuba.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Roaches! Bad Service! Good Place.

1.) Been to 24hr snack bar and people are so damn lazy that for 1egg it'll take 45mins for them cook, cause the staff there were to busy chitchatting / giggling to one another.(happened twice ar night) while the foods were colds, and the roaches are partying too on those food that was left at the conveyor. Haha Shimp is to book in a la carte dinner time before u taste it and the service will just took 1.45-2.5hrs to be completely served... (waste of time) 4.) people in the resort seems like need to be given a tip first before they served you, instead of doing their work right and serve... (I always tip no matter how they treat me, not a stingy, but I Am not satisfied how they served) 5.) Dumb thing to do Mosquito Killing with motor strolling around in the middle of the Party at night.. shud be done early In the morning to avoid the chemical inhalation and provoking the mosquito to come out more at a very humid night. 6.) Hotel Cleaner, not really cleaning well. sometimes forgetful about replacing towels and tissues. 7.) Bar People are so rude. Asking for lemon juice and they're saying they don't have it serve or they running out..... (Until the next nice server will be happy to make one for you, like wth is going on?) 8.) it is not recommendable and will never gonna come back at This HoteL. This place is full of crap and completely not happy on my vacation, Compared to Melia Las Dunas in Sta. Maria... (Been there last year, People and Food are amazing, it's just that their hotel suits are not Airconed at night) Resort is ok, Place is amazing, it's just that the people that works there are need to be reassessed / trained and educate more to DO their job well.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful Time at Melia!!

I loved everything about this resort. It attracted a relaxed crowd which we were looking for. The staff was incredibly warm and made us feel right at home. The beaches are fantastic. We loved our lagoon room and the wonderful view!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Enjoyable but...

Small size resort- perfect for finding your way around with ease. I dislike resorts that require shuttles to get around! Food was excellent- I am vegetarian and was able to find something at the buffet daily. The restaurants were very good too- definitely recommend the Asiatic! Spent most of my time at the beach or off doing excursions...not necessarily by choice but because the main pool was CLOSED for 4 days of the week we spent there. This is absolutely unacceptable to us. Customer service st [... read more]aff offered to transfer us to another hotel- not an ideal option as it is such a hassle for us. As a result of the pool being closed, the beach became increasingly popular and it was tougher to find a lounger but still... loved the crystal clear, shallow water - beautiful. 20 minute walk to Playa Pilar beach done once- stunning beach and water but not worth going multiple times since the resort beach was very similar. Did the Jeep safari, sunset cruise and snorkelling excursion to Isla media luna- all great trips. Be warned...when you drive the jeep, the terrain is a true adventure! Overall, nice resort and food but I will visit another resort in the future due to the pool situation not being addressed promptly. This is a make or break feature for us.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach

Nice resort. The room was always clean. At first we were in Building 10 but we found it very hot. The ac was not cooling down the room. On the first day When we mentioned it to the front desk they offered us another room in Building 15 the temperature was much better- cooler. The food was good. Not a lot of choices but the grill was very good and tasty. Always pork or beef, chicken,fish, shrimp and pasta station. And we did have 2 a la carte dinners while we were there for 1 week. Snack bar was [... read more] open 24 hours a day. Also the pizza on the beach had very good pizza. The staff was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the bugs. Lots of mosquitos which I think is very common on the entire island.the resort was constantly fogging and spraying in the morning and evening. The nightly entertainment was full of talented people and there were a few days that we know of where there was a live band and a singer another day entertaining us by the pool during the afternoon. And where else could you be entertained by the resident flamingo wandering about the pool.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Awesome Resort - I'll be back!!

Loved Memories Caribe - really nothing bad to say.....my room was 2006 - renovated section, no complaints... People are friendly, 4th trip to Cuba, 3rd time to Cayo Coco since July 2015, 1st time at this resort - I will be back for sure!! Robert the resident flamingo was amazing, really enjoyed my stay - can't wait to go back!!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Good Resort, lacks management abilities at the front desk !

All in all, it is a good resort. Not big in area, but quite well maintained given the age of it. Pedrol, the young general manager was quick to respond to request for help. However, the reception desk failed to offer the basic support for "elegant members". Therefore, it is not important to pay the extra $30 to join ! Will return for future visits.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Not a Good Experience

We were very disappointed in this resort. A couple of the pools were so green with algae they were black. The others were not in good repair or clean. We had a four year old and were afraid of all the germs. We only stayed here around four hours and had the Sunwing rep move us, which cost us quite a bit and put a damper on our vacation. We were moved to a lovely hotel called the Pestana and had a lovely vacation.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Terrible

Stayed here only four hours. The pools were black with green algae. Worst resort I have ever stayed at. Moved to the Pestana and had a wonderful vacation. Nice clean rooms, food and lovely staff. Really nice beach and very close to all amenities.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing

Great place, great beach, great people, love the synchronized dancing it was amazing, would definitely go back with the rest of my family. I have enjoyed so much that I would say after 18 times that I have been in Cuba this one was the best time of my life. We had enjoyed much more than I could ever imagine, we decided to bring along a little extra hot spicy's and lemon juice and the rest is history. We know that different countries have different tastes of foods and we enjoyed spicy food  [... read more]so I brought along a little bit of my Portuguese sauce and lemon juice and it was good, the next time when you go bring along your own touch of spicy's. Thank you to all the staff at the beach bar with the extra ice water with peppermint to my taste and the very special cappuccino and the express coffee to my liking I do thank you to all the stuff from the front desk to the ladies getting our rooms always ready with beautiful pieces of their own imagination always welcoming us home, be grateful for what you have and be good to others as you would want them to be good to you enjoy your time and have good clean fun. Don't worry about the little things.

Кондиционер, горячая вода- по высшему разряду.Т.е, на бытовом уровне нет никаких замечаний, только похвалы. Сам отель, особенно его лобби, красив и поддерживается в хорошем порядке. Территория тоже содержится в чистоте. Много цветущих кустарников и ярких клумб. Деревья ещё молодые, но уже украшают территорию. Дорожки их камня очень удобные и чистые. Шлепать по ним босиком одно удовольствие! Пляж. Это было для нас очень важно. Громадный. Белый песок. Всегда находилась для нас тень. Мы никогда не занимали место заранее, хотя народ делал так... место в тени было всегда! Пляж удобный. Множество Активити, бар...кто что ищет. Мы наслаждались тёплым морем, играми в воде и песке. Небольшое неудобство вызывали обломки кораллов и ракушек при входе в воду. Можно было даже поранить ноги. Детям лучше запастись спец обувью. А я так просто очищала место, где играл мой ребёнок. Всех делов- 10 минут! Еда. Много . Изобилие и на любой вкус. Все свежее. Всегда. Большой выбор сыров, салатов, овощей. Для детей выбор йогуртов, сереалов. Изумительная выпечка! Хорошие фрукты, разнообразные и всегда свежие. Блюда на вкус? Можно похвалить, можно остаться недовольным. Кому как. Но всегда есть выбор! И всегда можно найти своё. Из ресторанов мы предпочли буфет! Безоговорочно! Французский и креольский нам просто не понравились! Не вкусно! Японский был хорош! И вкусно и развлекательно! Развлечения. Мы с ребёнком мало что смогли увидеть. Но то, что видели и слышали было очень высокого класса. Вечерние концерты у бассейна, в лобби и в театре были высокопрофессиональны! Внук был без ума от детской дискотеки. Экскурсии. Были только на одной. Ездили на пляж Пилар. Это стоило затраченных денег. Изумительный пляж (без ракушек!), ланч с морепродуктами и лобстеров. По дороге видели множество розовых фламинго. Явный недостаток. Только один! Мало времени! Неделя - это мало! Ну, и несколько слов о людях. Все без исключения очень доброжелательны, приветливы и стремящиеся помочь. Проблем с языком не было, английский ( и французский) знали все. Кое- кто даже говорил по- русски. Ð’ общем, друзья! Рекомендую!

Hi,as you said we just came back from this" amazing resort " and we head fun,this is our 24-th time CUBA,all different places so we can say we know a lot about this country. Only one suggestion the pool entertainment during the day could be more live.

Hotel Playa Coco: Beautiful Resort with great service and wonderful beaches and Pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Playa Coco. We had a great Room, the dining was as good as expected, The staff Friendly and welcoming, and we will definitely be back either within this year or early next year. It's a Family oriented Hotel and the friendly and welcoming Hospitality certainly has my recommendation for Vacationers/ looking for Fun, Friendly and welcoming Hotel. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great time at Memories Flamenco

The hotel was clean and the service at the restaurants and bars was amazing. Smaller resort with beautiful beach at a reasonable price. Rooms were older but clean and the air conditioning worked good. Would consider returning.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

Absolutely beautiful, the beach, the pool and the staff were amazing. Would definitely return. Buffet was fantastic, snack bar yummy...........Our room was very clean everyday. Loved the piano bar.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Good stay but could've been better

Our stay was good with a few inconveniences. The hotel operations were moved from the prestige side to the main hotel mid week, however the main pool was still closed and we had to make with the smaller one, therefore we were not able to enjoy it. The service was great and the food good; I would however recommend that the food could be covered at the restaurant due to flies.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: First love!

We've just returned from a beautiful vacation. This was the third time we were at this resort. It is obvious we like it, at least we liked it the first time we visited it. It was 2004; and the hotel was quite new. Rooms were nice, no musty smell, no worn mattresses, the staff very friendly, the beach was beautifull and the food outstanding. It was what we hoped for. The second time, in 2008, it was different. The room was sub par; smelled of tabaco and mold, mattress was old and worn as if  [... read more]a huge weight had crushed all the springs and the A/C was almost nonexistent. The rest: staff, food and beaches were the same: nice, tasty and beautiful as before. This year we decided to go back since we still had the good feeling from the first time we were there. We went for the superior room. We asked the travel agent if the term "superior" means a renovated room. The lady confirmed it, and indeed it was. Iberostar Daiquiri is a medium size resort; beautifully maintained by a handfull of gardiners that work really hard and they are rarely appreciated. It has a cozy lobby with access to the main bar where you can have almost any drink you would want. The main hotel is right above it. In addition there are villas that have main + two floors. They are lovely! We stayed in villa Varadero on the top floor with an ocean view. The room was spacious, very nicely renovated, with modern bathroom, king size mattress that felt new and firm yet very comfortable, plasma TV, small fridge, a couch and an armchair with a type of ottoman. The A/C was in good working condition, silent and efficient, Housekeeping staff is very nice, thorough, non intrusive and quiet. You can have your siesta undisturbed even if they work next door. We ran into this issue at some other resort. The room was our main concern. We knew that the beach and the food will be good if not great, so after we saw the room we knew that it was worth returning to our first love. There was another good surprize: all the resorts contributed to the enhancement of the beaches on Cayo Guilermo's North side. Now the beach is approximately 20 meters wide, about 3 km long and has beautiful white sand. The water is perfect, you have all kind of places to snorkel and there are thousands of fish around (barracudas included). You can fish to your heart's content, or just enjoy the sun. There are plenty of activities you can engage in, and all kind of excursions you can buy. We preferred to remain in the resort and relax. There is a dedicated space for kids to play in with all kind of gadgets, as well as a shallow pool for them to enjoy. There are two other pools where the adults can soak up to the point when the afternoon entertainment takes over. In one of the pools there is a bar and you can sit and drink as much liquid as you can. If you like table tenis, pool, volleyball, badminton, beach ball or target shooting, there are places for all those activities. There are 4 restaurants (I hope I'm not mistaken): one on the beach - very nice - where you eat a delicious lunch if you don't want to dress up. If you do, then you can go to the main restaurant for lunch. There is a 24 hour snack bar at the pool as well. There is a Mexican restaurant that is open only for dinner. At dinner time the restaurant on the beach changes into a la carte Cuban restaurant. We did not go to any of them since the buffet is soooo good that booking the a la carte restaurant seems a waste of time. One thing though, I'm not sure why the fish tastes as if it is old frozen. We had a very nice memory of filets of fish on the barbecue served in the beach restaurant that tasted great. This time, not so much. The other items on the menu were perfect though so we compensated with those. As you can probably see, we do like this resort a lot, however we did see some things that were not professional and could have been a motive for complaints. For example: reusing the mint from a used glass from which someone drank a Mojito (saw it once, maybe it happens more often - management please look into this). I wouldn't have wanted to drink that. Or an alcoholless Mojito, it wasn't worth the one pesos I tiped the staff. By the way, that drink was prepared by someone else than the bartender since he was occupied speaking with a person at a table, and he did that for about 5 minutes; he ignored all of his clients. When we arrived this year to this very nice resort, we saw a lot of the old guard still working there. This may be a very good thing: All of the staff know their jobs. On the other hand, they may take their job security for granted as well as they gathered enough money from tips over the years that they see themselves as rich and untouchable; and they will have an atitude towards customers that may harm the good name of the company. Another thing, the rag they use to wipe the tables with, should be washed clean with soap at least every second round; you cannot imagine how many germs can be on that piece of cloth. The cushions on the couches in the hallway, mainly the ones going to the main restaurant are not the cleanest to be moderate. In the room, there can be a unpleasant smell emanating from the washroom. It can be easily avoided by pooring water in the floor drain under the sink. It seems everyone is forgetting about that one and it dries up and allows smell to come into your room. In conclusion, Iberostat Daiquiri is a lovely resort, where we'll return with great pleasure. It has one of the nicest beaches in Cuba - even though they say that Playa Pilar is nicer - lots of places to sun bathe or lie in the shade. It is smaller than the other newer ones, and because of this doesn't run into their problem of not having enough food ready for the patrons to eat come feeding time. It offers a variety of food and it is only a matter of you using your imagination to combine them and create a complete and very satisfying meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner or anywhere in between. Drinks are plentiful and diverse. The superior rooms - little more expensive than the standard - are very nice (make sure you have a normal fridge not an ecological one if you want to have cold water to drink). I don't have to remind you to bring bug spray to kill mosquitoes in the room and some Off for when you are sitting at the bar at night. They have a pharmacy, it is advisable though, to bring whatever medicine you think you might need since the prices are spiced up. The safe in the room you have to pay 2 pesos per day to use. The people at the reception desk will give you the code once you pay. I hope this helped you decide to book your vacation at this beautiful welcoming resort. Have a great vacation!!
