Valentin Perla Blanca: Amazing hotel !

This was my second trip to Cuba, different part though. The hotel is beautiful, very modern. The rooms were also amazing, we asked for a king bed and actually got one! Everything was very clean. We all know what to expect when it comes to food in Cuba. To be honest some days were terribly off but other days it was really good. Guess it's about whoever is working. The al a carts were good, definitely better quality food. I suggest bringing your own ketchup for sure, and order the chicken fingers  [... read more]at the snack bar! Those are awesome. Don't miss out on the freshly made donuts in the buffet either! So good! The beach was beautiful, clear blue water, jelly fish here and there so be careful. There's not many shaded areas on the beach, there's a complimentary umbrella in the room, you can always bring that to the beach. They maintained the grounds and pool very well. Always super clean. We had done the snorkelling and speed boat excursion that I would highly recommend, it won't break the bank! Over all I had a great time and met a lot of great people.

Memories Paraiso: Beautiful

I loved this resort, great people the beaches are to die for. Our rooms and the resort itself where kept clean at all times and never had any issues. The food at the huts by the beaches and pools were great made good sandwhiches. The night we were leaving they had a cook out that we missed but noticed the food looked really good, BBQ chicken and Vegtables with all the desert you could think of. The things I was impressed with is the food in the buffet it was sub par wasn't sure what somethings  [... read more]were or if I should eat them. I stuck to pasta and there fish cooked on the grill. The breakfast buffet looked uneasy only thing I would eat were the fresh ommlets or eggs and toast. My stomach was very uneasy a cpl times and coming home. Another note is that the resort is verry large, so a lot of walking to and from places. At any point you have somewhere to eat or swim close by which is nice because they have multiple locations to go to. Our down fall is we had a group of 25 so to find them was a hassle because they stayed on the opposite side of the hotel which was a 15 min walk. We spent a lot of our time looking for them. Overall it was a very lovely resort and my complaints are very minimal.

Memories Paraiso: Nice hotel

Beach was gorgeous. Room was clean nothing special. For good food you need to ask for the people at the grills in the buffet to cook you something it like a 10 min wait but you see them cook the food in front of you. Very friendly staff.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful resort

beautiful resort, clean property, friendly staff, great service, beach is amazing. Great for a relaxing vacation. more options on the buffet would be nice. The worst thing for me was the 90 minute bus ride from the airport

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort

Iberostar Ensenachos is a very clean and very beautiful resort. The pools were gorgeous and lots of shade for those that want it. The food was excellent, the staff were superb. Rooms were nice as well and very large. The beaches were the most amazing beaches ever.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Absolutely Beautiful

My one week trip to Valentin Perla Blanca was AMAZING!. The resort is really nice, still new, clean and well kept. The grounds are extensive so there's lots of walking and I really enjoyed that. The service is exceptional and the staff try really hard to make your stay enjoyable. The beach was pristine and beyond my expectations. You could walk along it for miles. But all in all - beautiful clear blue ocean with white sands - Postcard Perfect! Many thanks to Trip Central and Miranda who helped me with the booking. It was my first time traveling solo so I was a bit concerned. But Miranda walked me through everything, was very patient and showed me the best options to choose from based on everything I was looking for and within my budget. Everything was perfect.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Food Scarce

Food shortages at every meal. eg. Running out of bread for toast in the morning. Food selection very limited. Beach was very nice shady hut had to be reserved early as I noticed people heading for the beach as early as 5:30am to get them. Water was rough with lots of strong waves but very clean and warm. Staff and service were excellent. CUCs in 1 peso denominations were in short supply at the front desk and the Bank Counter im the resort as well as the Bank Counter at the airport forcing larger [... read more] than normal tips. Most places would only give out about 5 at a time to each customer.

Melia Las Dunas: Great week of R&R at a very nice resort.

Before reviewing MLD, I must give a shout out to Trip Central in general and especially to Debbie Maguire. Extremely satisfied. The resort had everything my wife and I were looking for. Clean and comfortable rooms, great pools, long walkable beach, and the ocean. You can always find things to nit pick about, but overall it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were mostly pleasant, the grounds were beautiful and the food was good with lots of variety. Melia Las Dunas: Excellent resort!

This was our second time at Las Dunas and we throughly enjoyed it. Lots of activities and entertainment or just relax. It is a big resort, so you can end up walking a lot, but the gardens are just beautiful. It is nice that there is an adult section with pool that is separate from the family pool.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Great place but missing that little extra touch!

The grounds are beautiful. The beach is beautiful though can be a little far for some people. The food could you some attention however there is always something very basic to eat. Rice, pasta and deserts. Nothing is on time, if its scheduled to open at 1 it wont really be open until almost 130. The bank is sometimes open sometimes not but you only find out when your in line for about 1 hour. Even if the sign said open at 7am. Carpets never vacuum and sink and glass window in bathroom to bedroom are never cleaned. For the right cheap price I would go back because minor things like this can be fixed.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Average to good resort, beautiful island in Cuba

Resort was average to good - no clean towels for two days in hotel room. No clean beach towels for the entire week. Buffet ran out of bread. Hamburg grills ran out of bread. Long line ups to get food. Very crowed and busy. Quality of food was average to poor.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Wonderful Resort!

This was an amazing vacation. The turquoise ocean and white sand beach themselves made our vacation. They were the most beautiful and clean we have ever seen. You can walk for hours along the ocean shore. The resort is nicely planned and has a lot of tropical trees and plants. The rooms were very specious and clean. It was a great variety of food. You always can find something to eat. We have never been hungry between meals. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. We took a full day trip on  [... read more]catamaran that offered 2 snorkeling’s; Dolphin’s show and interaction with dolphins plus the lobster dinner. It was a great value for your $99 pesos. I really recommend this resort to spend your vacation.

Memories Paraiso: Fantastic for live music, best beach, but run down

Summary: I’m a 30 y/o female. I had my own room. I went with some family members. I would go back for the right price, the entertainment and beach was well worth it. Just get over the esthetics of the resort and room and forget about eating - bring more protein bars. Lastly it's all what you make it - I had the best week ever!!! The strip they had was just stunningly beautiful, the sand soft like icing sugar, and the ocean beams brilliant blues and greens. -They had live entertainment, bands and shows, from 5pm-1030 every night. I've never seen a resort with so much going on. It was awesome! -The pools are really nice, nice and big, there are three huge pools locations (2 pools at each location) and one infinity pool. -The resort is big but not too big. It's a nice size. - the fresh omelets at breakfast are good and the only meal i ate each day. I had fruit and cheese for dinner, also good. -Mediterranean restaurant - had the pumpkin soup and the bisque fish - really good. My friend had the special - mahi-mahi and got sick - but it didn't look right. I don't think the staff know how to cook there (food quality standards are non-existent). - I lost 5 pounds - They have a market that joins this resort and another, it has lots of shops and bars, a disco, a gym (free) and a spa. Everything costs except the gym which was nicer than most resorts. The disco was $10 to get in and included 4 free drinks. there was never anyone there, but I went there one night with some people i met and had a blast!! - there are lots of trolly if you dont want to walk Cons: -I heard people had bedbugs in the Azul side, one building was shut down -The resort is a little run down. It's a shame because it's really a beautiful spot and I hope they begin fixing it up. -The staff aren't as friendly as I'm used to, and they don't go the extra mile. I feel they probably aren't treated very well. -Food is not good. Tons of people getting sick constantly. They don't refrigerate anything. The burgers sit out in a steel pan in the hot sun. Food constantly under-cooked. I'm not sure that the staff are trained at all. You will also wait forever for anything. I also saw a lot of staff cooking for other staff which makes me think they don't get fed or not well taken care of. I lived off a jar of peanut butter and a few protein bars that i got. -The snack bar has no snacks. All they have is a grill with either a burger or hot dog, sometimes they will do french fries but not always. The staff grill everyone's order one by one, they don't multiple grill at a time - it's painful. There is never any buffet style items at the snack bars - no fruit or anything, you have to go to the main buffet. -main buffet was constantly out of coffee

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Decent Resort

The Staff and service was exceptional. The beach was very dirty, filled with garbage and sharp rocks and sticks. The beach is best when the tide is all the way out, this reveals the best sand. The food is okay, but very long lines and my wife ended up getting quite sick. Very large resort, this causes a lot of time to be spent just walking around. Too many children is another negative.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Breathtaking Beach!

This hotel was wonderful. It was such a nice change from my previous stays in Cuba in other provinces, to have the level of service and a fridge in our room with fresh bottles of water every day! My only complaint would be- there needs to be a lot more options for shade on the beach, unless you are at the beach at 5 am to reserve a seat, you are sitting in the sun. Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort!

For my first time in Santa Maria, definitely not my last, this resort was great! The people who worked on the resort, from the pool to the beach to the front desk and lobby bar were all very friendly. The food was good, the pizza on the beach was great! The beach was flawless! The lobby bartender "Carlos" was always smiling while serving every customer, it was just a great trip overall, arrived home very relaxed!

Melia Las Dunas: Would not go back again

The resort was okay but would not go back again. The one thing that we could not live with was the food. The hot was not hot and the cold was not cold...and I cannot handle watching bugs walking on the serving areas. You had to wait for a lot of the food to be cooked and by the time you finished waiting the rest of what was on your plate was cold if it wasn't before. We lived on pizza and poutine most of the trip...and even the pizza they ran out of olives most of the days. The people at the sunwing desk acted as you were bothering their day when you had any questions...maybe its just their way of handling things...not too sure.

Melia Las Dunas: Loved this resort

This resort was very clean,staff was great, food was ok at the Buffett fiod at the 24 hour snack bar was good burgers were the best. This area had the most beautiful ocean I have seen one of my best trips to Cuba

Memories Paraiso: Amazing Beach and nice resort.

The hotel room we stayed in was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The food was ok and you could always find something to eat. The people were friendly and always there to help you. The beach was so beautiful and its what sells the resort. I enjoyed my stay.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing staff!

The best part of this resort is the staff they are amazing! Roberto st the Japanese restaurant was fabulous! Also Yassel at the pool bar works so hard and is always friendly. These two guys are the best! Also had a great time with the entertainment team especially Lester and Freddy who were also friendly and polite!
