Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Disappointed

Best thing about this resort was the room. Food was pretty disappointing. Staff looked very unhappy. Falls advertisement couldn’t access half the things on the resort was for vip. Harass by individual selling merchandise in the lobby. Layout of the resort was very poor

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great vacation!

Nice resort. Stayed November 23-30. Shout out to Sterling at front desk. We stayed in the adults only section. Need more umbrellas for shade on VIP beach! Good food. The servers on the beach were excellent!

Excellence Punta Cana: Wonderful 5 star resort.

Had a great time at Excellence Punta Cana. The friendliest staff we have ever had in many years of travelling. We have been to many of the Sandals Resorts and this was every bit as nice and even better then some. Food was good, many dining options and liked that we did not have to reserve to get into restaurants. Top brand alcohol and wine. My husband liked the sports bar to watch his game and enjoy wings and pizza. My favourite was the French restaurant. We definitely come back here again.Lot [... read more]s of pools to sit buy or at the long stretch of beach, all with padded loungers. Only downside was that you couldn't swim in the ocean as strong undertow. If looking for waterspouts, best to book elsewhere.

Riu Republica: Beautiful resort

The food was amazing, room was spacious, staff were friendly. Plenty of chairs by the pools and on the beach. Also, plenty of sunny or shady spots to sit. Large beach compared to the other beaches we saw on our walks. No need to reserve dinner seats as plenty of places to eat. The only negative was the nightly burning of garbage. Depending on the wind, it could be quite noxious. Maybe all of us sun seekers should think twice about the amount of waste we generate.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Absolutely Amazing Resort

We totally enjoyed ourselves here at the Ocean Blue and Sand resort from the moment we arrived. The staff we're extremely friendly knowledgable and willing to serve. The resort is spotlessly clean and is continuallly being maintained and cleaned. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We visited almost every restaurant on the resort, but sadly did miss 2. We made resevations for some and went without at others. We were never disappointed with the  [... read more]food offerings or quality and taste. The buffets were plentiful regardless of breakfast, lunch or supper and the a la cartes were equally as good. The layout of the resort is very well thought out as well. We could be in our room and not be disturbed by pool activities or by events near the Lobby square or theatre and still be within a short walk to all easily. The bars were all well stocked and the bartenders could mix anything you requested with most of the popular and higher end brands available. The pools were very large and clean and offered lots of deck space for sunning. They have 2 swim up bars, one in each pool as well as surface bars and a restaurant right at the beach. The beach was not as large as some but still offered pleenty of room for walking, sunning and playing in the abundant surf. Lifeguards were always present at the pools and the beach as well as security and lots of helpful staff. I could go on but I feel like I'm rambling. We will definitely return here again. Great value for the money and very reasonable.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Chic Punta Cana Awesome Resort!!!!!

I would highly recommend this resort! From the minute we arrived till the minute we left we where treated fabulous. The rooms where very nice, clean and excellent working air conditioning. Rubin, Anna and Clifford our concessionaires where the best. Always there to look after our every need. It was my husbands birthday when we went. On that day we received a cake and bottle of champagne delivered to our room. Joe one of our favorite bar tenders always greeted us with a smile, remembered our  [... read more]names and favorite drinks. The food was awesome as well as all the la carts. No reservations or long pants needed for the men as a lot of resorts require. Just dresses shorts. My husband was very impressed. They had great entertainment at the pool every afternoon. I miss hearing the head of the entertainment saying"Oh My Chicken". From the pool and beach service it was a truly great vacation. We will be back next year!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Great Vacation

Weather was hot - Hotel was beautiful and clean - Service was great, especially Arturo, our pool concierge. He was friendly, quick and always made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Thank you for a great vacation!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great Time at Be Live Punta Cana!

We stayed Nov 22-29 Room 2305. The hotel and staff were more than we hoped for. The room we were suppose to have wasn't available so they upgraded us to Adults only VIP room that was lovely. The staff was amazing, from Domingo at check in to Jose in the Marketplace Buffet, Jonathan our butler, and sweet Norma our housekeeper and Delvis M who offered help when he thought we needed assistant all were professional and friendly as were many other staff member whos names elude me. Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Excellent resort!

This resort was top notch! The rooms were beautiful, grounds were kept tidy, everyone was at your service making our stay pleasurable. Food and drinks were excellent. Could use pool side music but overall an excellent resort.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort

Great resort, by far the best we’ve travelled to in the Dominican. The only downfall we encountered was there was very little options food wise for Gluten / Celiac persons. Room Service was offered and encouraged, although at times our orders never showed up. The resort overall was safe, although it was a concern when leaving our room early (6:15 am), all hallway lights, and resort lights were turned off and not on until 7:00 am. We found this to be a safety concern, there should b [... read more]e lights on throughout the buildings for the safety and security of guests. We had to use the light of our phones to walk from our room to the main building.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing Resort!!

If you want a dream room, this hotel featuring their suites which we had the pleasure to enjoy were out of this world. Beautiful, clean and everything you would want in a dream vacation. Staff were friendly and hospitable. When being assigned a butler however, I expected them to check on us every day to ensure out needs were met. There were two days when we did not hear from him at all. He did give us his facebook contact to reach him should there be any issues. There were no issues howeve [... read more]r but expected him to visit us personally to ask. When he went on his days off, he had assigned a new butler, never saw or heard from him once. Food at most a la cartes was cold. Other than those few things everything else was stellar!

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: beautiful resort BUT.......

The resort is beautiful, clean, well groomed and conveniently laid out. However, there are some areas that need attention....the Hideaway. This may be an adults only section of the resort but once you leave the fenced and gated area you are in a full kids zone. Unfortunately, the pool and area are very closed in and you do not have the beautiful views of the ocean or resort. It feels like you are in a fish bowl. The pool is very small for a large number of adults. The bar service was terrible an [... read more]d the alcoholic drinks were awful. Even the cold water bottles were not sealed and had been recapped. I was very disappointed in the concept of adults only. The adults only restaurant was very good but took forever to get waited on and served. This is not a resort I would recommend.

Occidental Caribe: Occidental Caribe

The views were beautiful of ocean and the pools were lovely but the hotel was not great. Things that had been repaired over the years were evident with shotty workmanship . Safe and toilet were broken. The front desk staff were rude and didnt speak English. They would say anything to get rid of you and then never complete the task requested. No tour of grounds were given and you were not kept in the loop of activities. Took my family here and it was a huge disappointment. Other people were also [... read more] complaining of resort. Ads are very deceiving....travellers be aware!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Highly Recommended

This is my third visit in three years. A very relaxing place, with a friendly and caring staff that is discreet and good humoured. The food is good, with a lot of variety. I don't go for the beaches and the nightlife but to sleep and to relax, and on occasion to work quietly and undisturbed. This is a place that you don't have to relentlessly Keep Up. It really respects the needs of the guests. A very discreet place.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing Experience!

My friend and I had a wonderful time at this resort. It is a large hotel, but there is quick and timely transportation by train constantly. It feels like you are in your own little town, and the resort itself is gorgeous. The staff was wonderful and food was very good. This may have been the cleanest beach I have been to in DR.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great resorr

Grounds are beautiful. Very interesting majestic architecture. Rooms are spacious and feel very new. Bathrooms are great same feel as in 4 Seasons hotel. 3 Pools all clean and comfortable for small kids. Beach is white sand with lots of activities. A lot of entertainers working for both adults and kids. Breathtakin shows and live music at night. Food is solid quality but lacks the high end feel. Out of all RIU hotels in Punta Cana this is the nicest.

Secrets Royal Beach: Very nice resort

We enjoyed Secrets very much, however, we were quite disappointed that we were informed after booking and payment that half the resort was closed for construction. We would have loved to wander and use the other pools, restaurants and facilities. We could also hear construction from our unit. The room was very spacious, clean and new. The staff was top knotch! The entertainment was the best I had seen in any resort. The food was excellenté! Great pool and Beach.

Occidental Caribe: Excellent Resort

This was my second time at this resort. The resort is amazing , very clean, lots of activity and excellent customer service. The only complaint I would have is that the food was always cold. There was a good variety and plenty of choices but was always cold. Other than that had an amazing holiday, would highly recommend.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing Vacation!

Grounds were beautiful, well kept. Clean rooms, great food. Very much the best family vacation spot! Many pools to hang by, the casino and disco are open late foe entertainment. Everything you need on one ground

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Great resort/poor service

I went to this resort with a group of 4 people. The overall resort was great and it was really nice knowing that you can go to the Royalton freely to enjoy the entertainment. The resort was clean and there was a lot to do. The service in the buffet was extremely poor, you wouldn’t get any service until you were done your meal. The refrigerator in the room was hardly filled and I had to call to get service.
