Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful resort...minus mosquitos in May

Checked into the beautiful Memories Flamenco on April 28. Staff and location, excellent. On May 1 the mosquitos came and sent us to our rooms early every night until check out on May 5. Such a shame, we enjoyed zero night life. I unfortunately forgot my coffee purchase in my room fridge. I sent an email as recommended by my travel rep to a hotel contact person hoping against hope I could have it sent to me at my expense. I'm still waiting for a response. No one has acknowledged my message. I [... read more] would still recommend this resort. Food, service, accommodation and all. Think twice about this particular time, however, the mosquitos were quite a major, huge, mega inconvenience. I'm sure they found our bug spray amusing.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Family Vacation

We had a great time at the resort. Beach was perfect, both pool and beach always had enough space to easily accommodate the guests. We enjoyed the buffets more than the a la carte restaurants, especially the beach buffet at lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff and great live entertainment daily. Resort is suitable for children with a huge kids pool and kids entertainment nightly.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing Resort

This is our Second Year at Pullman.We as a family enjoyed every moment of our stay. Food was very good,staff was very friendly and helpful.Grounds are beautiful and everything is so close and easy to access. Beach is wider compering to last year and just breath taking. We would strongly recommend this resort to families and single people as well. Do not hesitate to book Pullman you will enjoy it for sure.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome beach experience!

This resort is a large and beautiful. Lots of walking which is great. Recommend bungalows near the beach to have a quiet sleep. The ones near the pool get really noisy at night into the wee hours of the morning. The beach is one of the most beautiful I have seen. Stunning colour and clear waters. Some seaweed but not constant most days beach was very clean, and we never had an issue finding a spot the chairs are plentiful. Same with pool. Always a spot to be found which was nice. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the entertainment because of the mosquitos, so I cannot comment too.much on the shows but the music was good.. Bring lots of insect spray and after bite to be safe. Bring lots of sunscreen because it is hot and there is none to be found on the resort!! If u do run out then a short bus ride into the town is doable and u get get good sunscreen there but expect to pay double for it!!! Do not exchange American money at home as they do not accept it anywhere. Buy your peso's here . They do have banks on the resort to change there as well. If u love horses they offer horseback riding on the beach which is truly a beautiful experience!! Just walk and look for the AmigoS with the horses. The Japanese Chinese restaurant on the resort is amazing so be sure to try it. Be aware that they will only allow u to choose 3 al la cart restaurant choices for ur stay and u must make reservations. The French restaurant is also good choice. The buffet is good too as they offer stations that cook fresh meats fish and pasta. The beach is heaven on earth. Be careful in the sand as there r broken shells and be careful in the water there are stingrays always shuffle just in case. The medical facilities are very good and always available. There is plenty of food and they offer it all around he resort...Beach pool and buffet. Some drinks are not available all the time but you can compromise. The only downfall other than the mosquitos is that we had to complain numerous times to have our rooms cleaned. In 7 days they cleaned maybe 3 times. Also found he rooms to be in bad shape for a newer resort. Truly is a beautiful island and a place that definitely shud be visited. I would return for sure.

Hotel : ***** 5 star Service : ***** 5 star Food : **** 4 star Room : ***** 5 star Pool : ***** 5 star Hotel still very new and clean and well maintained. All staffs were very friendly. Foods were ok, buffet always have lot of choices but the speciality restaurant were overrated especially the Japanese. Rooms were well equipped and clean only the bed sheet need to change more frequently, have not change for my 7 days stay. 3 pool were big enough to fit most the residents. Beach wer lov [... read more]ely white sand with green and blue ocean. Negative : exchange rate at the lobby front counter were not too fair but no choice. Wifi have some blind spot over the resort and 2cuc per hour are another issue for me, I had used over 30cuc just for wifi card for my 7 days stay and I do remember to sign out every time after I finish.

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful Resort

Lovely resort, I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved that there was always live entertainment through out the resort, "lobby, by the pool and at all the restaurants during lunch and dinners". We made sure we watch the night show every single night! Rooms were new and very clean everything was in good working conditions. I really enjoyed the food in this resort compared to other resorts in Cuba, everything was fresh. [... read more] They had at the buffet various cooking stations of meat, fish and Pasta. We had reservations at their 4 a la cartes restaurants, Creole, French, Japanese and the Gourmet they were all very delicious!! We enjoyed immensely our walks on the beautiful white sand beach and to the lagoon. I will Definitely be returning to this resort!!!

Melia Cayo Coco: We love the Melia

We have been here a few times and are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The food is pretty good. And the beach is great, you can walk for miles. It has been widened now with sand from the ocean and there are some broken shells in it so be careful walking. There are enough activities to keep busy if you like or you can just lounge about. They did bring in some brand new white loungers and 10 new sunbeds though. The roof on the Cuban restaurant was damaged by the wind and was out of service until repaired. They have added soccer at 5:30 daily, it is played with staff at the back tennis court so bring good running shoes. The staff are pretty good players and all young...lol. This is not a party resort, it is an older age demographic...40 and up it seems. A good spot for a relaxing vacation.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Big Resort

Grounds were nice, beach was gorgeous and big, water was beautiful, rooms were normal, bars were nice, but food was not good and Mosquitos were horrific at night! If you don't tip you will not get good service!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Vacation

Resort is a short drive (20 minutes) from the airport. The resort is a nice size, not too large. It's quick to get from your room to the beach, pool or main building where the buffet and a la carte restaurants are. They could use a bit more signage showing where the churro guy is, the ice cream parlour and beach snack shacks are located. The rooms are cleaned very well and water replenished daily. The food in the buffet was decent and we always found something to eat...the pasta station was very popular and that is because it was always very good. The a la cartes are hit and miss....we tried the Mediterranean (not very good) and the Asian (liked this one a lot). The Asian books up quickly, so book early. I really enjoyed the food at the snack bar....fries, hot dogs and pizza were my favourite!! Drinks were good and the bar staff was excellent....they served us at our loungers at the beach and pool...very nice touch and prompt service. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. When the tide is out, you can walk for miles on the sand bars. Take a walk and look for starfish and other sea life that you may not have a chance to see when the tide is in. The pool is a nice size. The entertainment staff are really good. They interact with the guest nicely. They made the afternoons by the pool very enjoyable. The Micheal Jackson show, by the pool, was really good. Very talented dancers. The nightly shows were very good. My favourite was the Aqua Show.

Sol Cayo Coco: Generic Resort

The resort was fairly small but staff was quite courteous and usually willing to go the extra mile to serve you, especially if you tipped well. Entertainment wasn't too bad. The beach wasn't what we had expected. The sand was light brown and filled with a lot of seaweed. When we were in Veradero last year, the beach was full of bright white sand and long stretches of clear water. Not the case here. WiFi cards were constantly problematic and that's the one thing the resort would not take responsi [... read more]bility or accountability for. It was overall an ok resort though.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Awesome Resort

Amazing beach and pools with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Food was great except fruit selection and some of the meat and basically any eggs in the mornings. Best mojitos I have ever had and nunerous other guests said the same. Awesome excursions but not the best entertainment if that is what you are looking for.

Hotel Vigia: Good Resort

Very nice beach. Food was good. Good selection, 2 nice a la carte restaurants. Staff was helpful. Great night shows and music. Very nice snorkelling trip by resort aquatic centre (not included in price). Good resort overall.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Nice resort

Nice resort, clean, good food, beautiful beach. Entertainment wasn't great, just average. Overall a great resort the only issue we had was lack of activities, have been to other resorts tht had much more to do.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Unbelievable resort!

First off i want to tha k jack for all his help in all of this! It wouldnt of been possible without his help! One of the best vacations ive been too! Made new friends, new experiences n best of all forever lasting memories. Thanks trip central and thank you Jack gentile for all your help! Viva la Cuba!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: An awesome vacation!

From booking with Trupcentral to our rerturn from Memories Flamenco we could not have asked for a better experience. This was our second trip to this resort, four years apart and the changes to the beach are amazing! The beach is every bit as beautiful as any beach anywhere I have been around the world. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Not as expected

Heres my views the grounds were beautiful except for many missing lamp posts and bare wires rooms were nice beds were hard as a rock .bring your own pillow theres are maby an inch thick there are 9 buildings if you are easily winded go for 1 or 2 the higher the number the further away but like i said if your in good shape the grounds are top notch and well worth the extra walking .The staff were surprizingly not over the top friendly at all after all this is your week of vacation and you shoul [... read more]d expect the best....Evening entertainment is very very good far beyond my expectations ...We upgraded to diamond club mainly for waiter service on select beach area i dont think its worth the extra.. waiter service was really bad and the grass huts in that area were in bad need of repair the beach itself was beautiful lastly food im not a fussy eater the selection was good you wont go hungry but you wont leave the table saying Wow that was amazing mostly low budget food and desert is mostly very tasteless squares ... So my honest review Food gets a 6 Rooms get a 7 Resort workers 6 Beach gets 8 Entertainment a strong 9 would i recomend this to anyone. Probably after all this is Cuba and its just not fair to compare it to places like Mexico etc

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A,azing Beach

We loved the resort, mostly the beach, you could walk for miles and crystal clear. The buffet was nice, loved the stir fry, pasta and fish cooking stations. We did one a la carte, food was great but no overly impressed with the cleanliness of the table. Tablecloth was disgustingly dirty and when my husband had a plate taken away there must of been food on the bottom because it left quite a mess. Main one across from lobby bar was always dirty when I went in. Our room was amazing over looking the lake and watched the sun rise every morning. Our maid was very attentive with clean towels every day. Entertainment was good for the most part although we did not venture out too much in the evenings as the mosquitos were terrible this time. Would recommend that the coffee bar be open longer and earlier in the morning, that goes for the lobby bar too, closes way to early for an adult resort. I would go back again, the price was right and we went for the beach and relaxation and we were not disappointed.

The resort is great and very interesting excursion to Moron and Pilar beach. The room size is great. Nice beach The customer service and food can be improved. Resort in tropical like Cayo Coco should more fresh fruits for clients The major issue: MOSQUITOES. I have no enough word to express the need to curb the MOSQUITOES menace. I am very sure your organization is quite aware of this shortcoming. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Excellent hotel

Nice and small resort. Easy to get around. Food was good. Lots to choose from. Beach was excellent and lots of lounge chairs. Staff go out of their way to ensure you are looked after. Grounds are well maintained. Would return in a minute.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful resort

Very nice resort, comfortable, staff helpful. Lots of activities and evening entertainment was good. You had to be there early to get a fresh pool towel or they would run out. I also was unable to get toilet paper for my room one day. Overall had a great stay.
