Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Food!!

My husband and I really enjoyed this resort. The staff were very friendly. We went to an a la cart restaurant and Jose from mashua welcomed us back another night for food tasting!! What an amazing experience! Great food and great people.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Beautiful resort

We arrived on October 9th shortly after Marie. With all of the gardener you could not tell that a hurricane had just gone through the resort. The food, room, pools, beaches and staff where all excellent. The only complaint I would have to say is about how some of the other guests treatment of the staff. Very rude and disrespectful. All of the staff work very hard and deserve to be treated with respect.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Nice resort

Stayed on the luxury adult side. Overall a nice resort. Large resort expect to do a lot of walking to get from A to B. Beautiful grounds well maintained. Beach on the grand side is much better than the luxury side beach. For families be aware that locals are selling drugs at the grand side beach and security can't do anything if they stay in the water. Luxury side rooms were the newest in the resort and very nice. The Brazilian our favourite for meat lovers. Dolce Vita the Italian and the Don Pablo gourmet. Service was slow at the Don Pablo took 2 hours to be served our complete meal but the banana flambé tableside was worth the wait. Buffets O.K. some things a little cold but something for everyone. Overall staff was excellent. Pools quite lively during the day for the younger crowds but there are quieter spots. People did play the towel game for cabanas, when in Rome do as the Romans. A few issues with mini bar replenishment almost everyday we got shorted something but a quick call would straighten it out. Best evening entertainment was the Michael Jackson and Steel Band shows. Advice would be to not let the little things bother you and be courteous to staff as you do get what you give. All in all would back in a heartbeat

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent

Glad I went by recommendation of agent and friends and the Bahia good name. We had a very enjoyable stay. The grounds are immaculate. Food, something for everyone on the buffet. The dinner restaurants were excellent. The staff most hostsipable. Our air transat rep Simone was excellent and looked after us well. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Paradise in Jamaica

Stayed at this resort from October 7-12. I have zero complaints. Trip was absolutely perfect in every way. The guest rooms and resort grounds, food, staff and the constant sources of entertainment were all on point throughout the entire stay. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you aren't lacking anything and are having a good time. I would recommend this resort to anyone (although most people I have talked to have already been and love it)!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Family Vacation

My 16 yr old Daughter and I spent a week at the Grand Bahia Principe in Jamaica. We didn't stay on the Plus side of the resort and the room was beautiful and very clean. The staff was excellent, restaurants were amazing, beach was safe for kids very calm and the snorkelling was so much fun off shore. The pool was beautiful and very clean. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fine, but won't be back

My friends and I stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica for 5 days in October. I'd say it's a 4 star hotel at best. The resort itself is beautiful, but huge - clean for the most part, rooms and bathrooms are spacious, nice beach areas. When we arrived, we had to check in through a messy system. The buffet food wasn't fresh - a lot of the food seemed old. The beach bar buffet was the same. Garden Grill and Mikado were pretty good; we had great experiences at both. Don Pablo was a disaster. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was extremely disgusting. My friends and I all tried our best to eat the food without complaint, simply because the waiters were so kind and were making such an effort. Two of my friends actually went to the washroom to throw up during the meal. The alcohol, unless you purchase a premium package, was gross. All mixed drinks were syrupy (we were unable to stomach them after the first day), and they only offered one type of beer and one of each red and white wine. The staff in general were great. They were kind, courteous, and helpful. As we were three girls travelling, we weren't asked this of the staff, but we heard from male travellers that they couldn't go anywhere without being pressured to purchase marijuana or prostitutes. We did feel very safe, although as a female I probably wouldn't walk alone on the resort at night. All in all, I wouldn't go back to a Grand Bahia Principe hotel, however I would like to take the opportunity to thank the hardworking staff for doing their best to make our experience the best one possible.

Wonderful resort , clean , luxurious, very friendly staff , always eager to please ! Food was wonderful , pools very clean ! Crystal clear water at the beach . Never had to wait for food or drinks . Ala carte restaurants were outstanding !

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Week in paradise!!

I read a lot of reviews before choosing to book this resort for our vacation and some were negative which I ignored mostly since It was recommended by our colleagues who had stayed at this resort before. And now I find it completely bizarre that people had negative comments anout this resort. Starting from checking in to checking out everything was absolutely smooth, relaxing and enjoyable! Our room was spotless, spacious and bright (garden view suite) which was cleaned at least two times a day. [... read more] The cleaning staff work really hard and are constantly checking to make sure the guests have everything they need and the mini bar was stocked daily. Our jacuzzi tub drainage was broken but one call to maintenance and it was fixed the next day. The grounds were kept and clean, the pools were large and plenty of loungers no matter what time of the day but we chose to spend most of our days by the beach and what a beautiful, breathtaking, white sand, clear water beach! We just couldn't get enough of laying on the sand feeling the mini waves on our bodies and the manmade beach was great on the luxury side since the rocks kept the big waves away and we had calm shallow water all the time with mini waves but you could still swim if you walked a bit forward. And We loved feeding all the little adorable fish

This resort not as good as I expected. Food not that good. Check in at 430pm room wasnt ready. In the room plug in didnt work. Always short of face cloth. Worst is safe not included with room. You have to pay 6 us dollars a nite to have safe. Every other resort always provided safe in with the room. Not like they had to put safe in room its already there. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!

We really loved the resort. Lits of options for swimming pools or beach areas. Food was great in all areas. The room was really nice too. Bed could be more comfortable but, not the worst I've slept in.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Not worth the money Grand Bahai Principe Jamaica

The best thing about this resort was the sun and water. The hotel needs upgrades (when you walked out from the hotel by the gym, all you could smell was sewer). There is no air conditioning in the hallways and the air conditioning in the rooms smelled. When you leave the room, they want you to take your key card out to turn off all the power, so that means no air conditioning in your room while you are out in the hot sun all day. Meals were pretty good but we had an infant in our party and had to continually ask for a high chair. I felt it was over priced for what you got, have had better service in Dominican and Mexico. The beach by the kids park was great but the other beach by the pool was dangerous. Was full of rocks and cut my feet a couple times.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Hotel but will not be returning

The hotel is gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful. We went there to relax and enjoy our family time. But we are constantly being pressured to buy something. Jewellery an excursion a membership. I can understand the occasional sale push but it was constant. The knowledge of the drinks were inconsistent with the different bars so we actually wound up going to the one bar that knew what they were doing. Needless to say my family will not be returning to Bahia Principe for our future holidays. The folks at trip central were amazing. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The place was amazing. People were happy, spoke English. The night shows were good. The pool always had activities going on all day. Food was very good. Lots of bars throughout the resort. Going back next year. Very clean grounds for a older resort. Highly recommended

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Don't get what you pay for

Over all the weather, pool and ocean was beautiful. Food service was poor. Not only my group but other guests weren't offered water, tea and coffee during meal times at the Buffett no matter how many times you asked to get some you wouldn't get served. Maintenance was horrible my room smelled like something died up there. Our housekeeper every called for someone to come and no one came. And couldn't get a new room. My son sat for a picture and his brand new Bluejay jersey got full of paint as th [... read more]ere were no signs indicating wet paint in the area. The pool bars weren't nice, missing tile left sharp edges and the oool lights weren't in place in the pool. Food was always the same. Never changed even though they had the Theames at the buffet. I sdont think I'd return back to this hotel.. for the amount I paid I would expect a lot better. I wouldn't recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Awesome resort!

Everyone working there cares about you, they make you feel welcome and are incredibly hard working. The service and scenery is phenomenal. Definitely will be back and will try more of the a la cartes and scenic day tours they provide

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very nice resort!

Best hotel that we have stayed at in Mexico. Very clean hotel and grounds, friendly staff, exceptional service. Close to all the cultural and adventure activities on the Yucatan Peninsula. Good value for money. Would return to this hotel for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful place

Only a couple complaints. Chair on our balcony was cracked and pinched my leg badly. Our coffee caraf had a chunk out of the lip of the pot, and one of the coffee cups had a chunk missing as well. So every day these things never changed. So now that leaves me to wonder how clean other things in the room are. Really kinda gross to know that Mugs and glasses only got washed in bathroom sink. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: If you're looking to Party book Coba, if you're looking to relax book Tulum....

When we arrived to Coba we were greated by a dozen drunk people at the front desk (like falling down drunk). This was not how I wanted to spend my vacation and opted to be moved to Tulum. We had Golden Club, so we were able to make use of all the resorts on the complex. Our experience at Tulum was awesome. Close to the beach, service was great and lots of choices at the buffet. Yes, it had a musty smell...it happens with tons of humidity and everything stays damp. It didn't make or break our vacation. The Beach. For those who dream of white sandy beaches with no waves, rocks or seaweed..sorry, there are all three. Bring water shoes or walk up the beach past the resort (at your own risk) and you'll find calm, sandy waters. The beaches in the Hotel Zone are all the same, so don't make this a make or break for the Hotel. Just bring water shoes! As with most resorts the A La Cartes were OK. The Japanese restaurant was by far the best. I preferred eating at the buffet, I was able to make better and more healthy choices. However, I did eat my fair share of tortilla's with Gauc and Salsa....delish! I'm not a big drinker. But, the beer was cold and the margaritas were real....no fake lime slushy stuff. We had wine with supper, it was good. Oh! I almost forgot....At breaskfast, get a coffee with milk and ask for a shot of Bailey's and a glass of ice....mix it all together over the ice....voila! Bahia Principe Explore Coba: My first visit to Mexico

It was truly a fantastic experience. It was my first time joining an all inclusive package and it was totally worth every penny of my money spent. Starting from the booking, I had to call Tripcentral.ca because I needed some special arrangement and I spoke to Susan Snider. She was friendly and helpful, although I understood she was extremely busy handling other inquiries due to the hurricane that affected other passengers right before my departure. Once my booking was confirmed, a few days be [... read more]fore my departure, I received an email with an electronic FAQ form that literally answer any sort of questions. I submitted a single question to test the service and immediately received a response regarding the transfer from the airport to the resort. This time I stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Coba. I realize that in Riviera Maya there are a handful of choices of luxurious resorts but this one that I chose I was told that they have the best entertainments and animations. The resort is huge and it is a network of 4 hotels located next to each other that are all connected by shuttles. Guests can use the combined facilities including a private beach and a golf course. I has also a plaza called "La Hacienda" which has a lot of little shops selling local artifacts and souvenirs. It also houses bars with live music, a casino and a disco within a miniature of a typical Mexican town. I don't really have to go out and can easily spend a week just staying in the resort. The staffs are professionally trained with very friendly attitude. Starting from gardeners to housekeepers and waitresses, all staffs will greet you with a big grin on the face saying "Ola, buenos dias!" A special remark on the entertainers. They are the real reason for this being the right resort to choose. You will see them starting early in the morning by the pool organizing activities all the way until the end of the day. You will find their presence as well in the evening shows, live music entertainment and even in the disco dancing with guests and to ensure the lively atmosphere until 2 AM in the morning. Finally, about the restaurants. People usually have the impression that we won't find any decent food in all inclusive resorts. I must say this is an exception from the standard. This resort has more than 10 restaurants with multiple choices from eastern to western cuisine. The buffet serves a great variety of food that bears a different theme every day and the "A la carte" restaurants are all of very high standard, except the Japanese restaurant. I will definitely repeat the experience whenever I can and highly recommend this hotel as well as choosing Tripcentral.ca to make your booking.
