Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Ok, resort!!!

People not overly friendy. Grounds and pool nice. Hotel old, but kept clean. Food was ok. Nice and close to airport. It was nice big resort, with a few different places to always get something to eat and drink.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: I'll pay more to go elsewhere next time

My wife and I were happy with our stay here, but we weren't knocked off our feet by anything on the trip. The staff was very friendly and entertaining, the food was OK, the rooms were nothing special (I think we were staying in the older part), and the drinks... well, they were drinks... Not bad, but also nothing that I couldn't pour for myself on the patio at home. Next time I go south (we're going to try to make this an annual thing now) I will spend a little more and try somewhere else. Would I recommend this hotel to a friend? No. But not because it was terrible or anything, just because I wasn't wowed, and if you are spending over a couple thousand dollars to go somewhere I think you should be wowed.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Beautiful Resort

LOVE it here! We have been twice and will definitely be back again. Rooms are good, staff are very nice, grounds are amazingly beautiful. Bars are good, beach is awesome. Lots of waves! Scuba diving is GREAT! We walk around Sousa and to the casino and feel safe. If you're expecting to be waited on for such things with your meals as coffee, this is not the place for you. But i remade the bed in a way that it worked so it was all good!

Paradise Playa Dorada: Nice Resort

We had the ocean view room. It was absolutely beautiful. It was our third time at this resort. The food the last two times went downhill a bit. Last time was very bland but was fine. The grounds were beautiful, beach was great, rooms were clean. It is nice to be able to walk out of the resort area and still feel safe. Would I go back there again. Yes, if the price was right and we haven't found anything better.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Quick getaway from the everyday

Not the top of the line , but the staff was great , clean , we had a great time , 4 days in Dominican , the nightly shows and party after were good times , it really is what u make it , the only thing I could say would be to get those little extras , straws for drinks for example , it's very close to town , that was nice for a walk , I love the entertainment team ..... Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Good no great times

We had a family vacation , with our adult children , will always remember the great time , thanks Bahia , for helping us make memories . The grounds were always clean , the staff went beyond , the only complaint I would have is the sand on beach , but the Bahia couldn't do anything about the grain of the sand , thanks again Bahia

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: So relaxing

The hotel was great and we really enjoyed the pool and games we played every day. We will be going back again and bring our friends back with us. Can't wait to try some new dishes next time around be more adventurous

Paradise Playa Dorada: Amazing resort / Best we've been to!!!!!

Resort is beautiful with buffets close to all rooms. Lots of pools to party or just relax. And separate pools for those with children. We would go back in a heart beat. And that's the first time we have ever said that as we like to see new places but this place is a defiant return.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: amazing time

could not ask for anything else, amazing staff, grounds and also rooms. best family vacation ever! Everyone there went out of the way to make this vacation great. You can tell that the staff really cares about their quests.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Nice resort

My wife and I were looking to get away for a week together and this was a great place. We stayed on the resort the whole and we're able to decompress and relax. This is a very nice and small resort with beautiful grounds. The beach was great with lots of trees for shade and overall not too busy. Rooms were great and close to everything. The buffet was very good and we were very well taken care of the staff. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Marvelous

I have stayed at this hotel before and returned as I know I can rely on the eagerness of the staff at all levels make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The grounds, pools and beach are well kept and clean. The rooms a quite large and comfortable. The main dining is full of variety at all meals and I found it had something to satisfy all appetites. I did try to make it work but after a few days of stress and lack of sleep, I contacted the manager to arrange for another room. She was wonderful and arranged for a new room for me at a very reasonable price and in the area of the hotel I favoured. It made the difference between what could have been a miserable vacation and which instead turned out to be a great trip. I will definitely return again.

Riu Merengue: We loved this resort

The grounds were outstanding. The food excellent. The employees very friendly. The beach was beautiful and is very long and roomy. We enjoyed the variety of excursions and the resort offered so many amenities. I would have loved to see more variety for the entertainment side, but the number of pools, bars and restaurants made up for that. I would recommend this resort.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Great Resort (List of Pros & Cons)

Overall a great resort. Here is a list of pros & cons: Pros: Great view, Great Service, Good food, Beautifully Decorated Lobby, Interesting & Entertaining afternoon games (darts, bingo, dance, etc.). The best aspect is the beach which allows long walks with great views. Cons: The Merchants are allowed on the beach which can, at times, ruin your relaxation. Other Con is the smell emanating around the river area.

Paradise Playa Dorada: good value for the $

Hotel is very clean. The staff are polite and courteous. Food it standard for all inclusive resorts. They do repeat meals which can get boring but they all do that. We went to the steak restaurant one night, it was nice food ok. The entertainment was always good. U can walk down the road to a small road or take day trips which cost more $. Overall I would go back.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Good quality for the price

Second time visiting this resort. Grounds are nice, food is ok. Was better the year before although there is lots of choice and no one was ever hungry . For the price the value is good, it's very clean and the staff are very friendly. It's more like a 3.5-4 star.

Riu Merengue: Excellent Staff

The staff were great and very efficient and super friendly! The food was amazing with so much to choose from! The resort was very clean and well kept. The Steakhouse was delicious. I would go back to the resort in a minute.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Trip

The bartenders were great always willing to make u something special good section of food so you could always find something to eat and well the beach was awesome and warm weather what more could u want..

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Beautiful Resort

Stayed at the Bahia Akumal section June 22nd-29th, 2014. Third time at this resort, but first time in the late part of June. Room, food, grounds were all up par. Two problems that really affected my vacation. The pool water was very warm and none of the restaurants except the "Oasis" were airconditioned. This made it very uncomfortable for me as the only excape from the heat was the ocean or back in our room. Food and drink very good. Friendly people especially at bar. Good entertainment every night. Plenty activities during the day. The resort is big and very clean. Very nice long pathway to walk at night. Delicious Lobstoer dish at one of the A La Carte

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The grounds were nice. The rooms were a bit dated but the only time in room was to shower & sleep. If they ever decide to update the place would be a 5 star.
