Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Just ok

A group on 8 of us stayed in May 2017. The Good - nice huge white sand beach -they played good rock music and games round the pool The Bad- Food , I'd have to say in my over 20 all inclusive resort stays this resort had the worse food . There was only the one buffet restaurant and the food was the same variety everyday. Mosquitos were bad day and night especially our last 2 days.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Not an Amazing Resort

First off, the layout of the grounds is not very well planned, it is disorienting to say the least. We had to ask for a room change because it was too far from the beach and everything else. Food was definitely sub par. They do not even serve coconut juice/water! Balcony door was broken. Balcony lamp was not working either. Desk lamp was missing. Supplies such as bath soap and coffee were not replenished. None of these were attended to despite our requests. We had to pay to get into the disc [... read more]o house including drinks. The beach itself was nice though, plus the nightly entertainment. Overall, it was not worth the hard earned money we paid for the place.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fantastic

Travelled as a group of 10. We had no trouble getting seating together at the buffet anytime of the day thanks to the amazing staff. Smaller resort which meant easy to get seating around pool. Beach was amazing. Great entertainment nightly and daily poolside. Loved the swim up bar. Very clean resort. Food was typical of Cuba but always fresh. Good selection. We definitely will go back. Great bang for the buck.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: The Beach Is Worth It!

1. Wooden Bungalows: we were a group of four - two rooms adjoined and had our very own "space" - our own cabin! with a balcony on each room. Air conditioning worked in one of the rooms - so we left the door opened and it kept both rooms comfortable. The sheets were never changed but the bed was made up everyday. Beach: the beach was a short walk down the board walk from our front door - a very short walk, and we could see the ocean from the front steps of our cabin. The beach is shallow, but the colours are beautiful. There are layers of blues and greens and the area we were at on the resort (far away toward the east) was quiet and at the border of the Kyte surfing so we didn't have to deal with out of control boards. (Close to the adult only section.) 3. Food: we found something at every meal that we could fill our plates with. One person in our group was gluten and dairy intolerant and ate really well! (Its the FIRST resort in Cuba that I didn't get the runs.). It wasn't luxurious. It didn't have loads of daily variety, but there was always fresh meat to be grilled infront of us, fresh fish, personal pizzas - and omelettes made to order in the morning. It was a good resort if you're in need of a break and aren't the super fussy type. If little things bother you (having to go to the bar for bottled water when they forget to leave it in your room, or extra toilet paper at the front desk if they run out - or if it would bother you to be served a drink in plastic cups at the bar instead of in a glass), this is not the place for you. If these things wouldn't bother you, you'll love it. THE NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT was really good. (But, I like live music ...) The resort wasn't "amazing." It was good. People were friendly, and IF you were kind to the staff they were very kind to you.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great service

This was our first "All Inclusive" trip and it didn't disappoint. As soon as we landed and got on the shuttle to the hotel, the staff were so friendly and offered good tips for our stay. The hotel room was ok- a little disappointed that we ended up on the ground floor. All of the bar staff, food service staff and housekeeping staff, even the grounds staff were very obliging to requests and went out of their way to be friendly. Would definitely return.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful Resort!!

What an amazing resort! I booked this resort after reading the reviews on Trip Central and couldn't have been more happy I did. The resort is very beautiful, clean and close to the beach. It's not a huge resort so not over crowded. The staff are overly friendly but I always loved that about Cuba. We had no water issues and rooms were always done great! There was always entertainment by the pool and theatre. Food was fantastic!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines Cayo Coco

Beach is amazing, White sand, aqua water. Resort is 20 minutes from airport which is a bonus. Staff seemed very courteous, friendly. Room was clean, a few ants around toilet. Shower and water pressure great. A few problems.....bars ran out of tonic and soda water for several days. A la carte restaurants were not good the nights I was there but other nights people seemed happy, so I guess things are hit and miss. Grounds were lovely, pools were kind of scummy but that was after huge parties occurred. Yes I would go back with more bug spray. Always take Kleenex with you as often washrooms ran out of toilet paper. If you want to take gifts things that are welcome are toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, personal grooming items.

Hotel Mojito: not what we expected

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The resort itself is in such a disarray and the lagoon to the beach smelled of sewage which blew into the pool area. The restaurants were also on this lagoon. At one restaurant nothing could be eaten for all 4 of us. Not due to the smell but the food. Choice of food was very limited in the buffet. Pathways to rooms were very dangerous at evening especially. The ground floors very very musty smelling and had a tendency to flood during rain. The upper [... read more] floors had no private balconies. The beach almost disappeared when tide was high. Entertainment team seemed to be only hanging out with guests instead of doing group stuff. Grounds staff were more interested in selling you something instead of their job.

Melia Costa Rey: Great Resort

The hotel itself was very beautiful, the beach, the front desk, the bartenders , the maids were very polite and very friendly. The food at the a la carte was not good, the buffet was much better but the buffet needs to change their food daily instead of having the same thing every single meal and day.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Family vacation with the kids

Where to start....? Well, we figured out instead of giving us new towels, they'd just refold the dirty ones... how gross is that? Some days they wouldn't change your bed sheets.. or when you have a do not disturb sign on the door, they just walk in and BAM! One saw me naked. The gardens around the grounds were okay. Seems like a lot of bushes and plants haven't been planted yet. Seemed like every day the food was the same...Pools and beach were amazing, the kids enjoyed them. Mosquitoes were horrible on some evenings. Currency exchange bank never worked and wifi was horrible and was often not working and some how in Cuba, the peso is worth more than the Canadian and American dollar... do yourself a favour and just go to Mexico. Definitely won't be going back.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Clean

Just came home Apr 30 after a week long trip with my family... Resort is older but very well maintained with a beautiful lobby /Bar area Beach of course is beautiful. . Take bug spray for the evenings. . Staff were fantastic and very helpful.. they stocked fridge daily with beer and water. . Food was okay.. not much of a selection I have been to a few resorts in Cuba.. Weather was amazing

Melia Cayo Coco: Worthy of a return trip

Great experience. Great food. Great entertainment. Great amenities. Will return. Better WiFi a must. Resort must have an ATM. Staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. Met many Canadians who were repeat customers. A couple has been there 60 times. 6/7 trips / year to Amelia Cayo Coco.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Fantastic Getaway!

Wonderful service! Awesome drinks! Food was excellent - especially the fresh fish! Pool and ocean - spectacular! The market right outside the resort gate was a great place to get souvenirs. The disco was fun! The entertainers were very inviting and fun! Oh! And the Foam pool party! So fun! Will definitely be back!

Hotel Playa Coco: Great week away

The good: small resort easy to get around - great for mobility issues. Great beach. Fast check in. Newly renovated rooms. Ocean view. Nice pool, nice grounds. No wait for loungers at beach or pool. 24 hour beer garden great snack food good service. Good a la cartes. Great entertainment. George and Yaimara are fantastic. The bad: bugs in lobby - no seeums will eat you alive. Need to spray more. Drinks and food are inconsistent from one day to the next. Would definitely go back and wo [... read more]rth the money. 😊

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: The Beach is 5 star....

I just came back from this resort and unfortunately I was disappointed in my experience. The beach is breathtaking and truly the saving grace for this resort! Needs renovations, customer service from front desk/bartenders & gift shop was full of attitude and poor professionalism. Housekeeping staff fantastic, ground keepers very friendly but the gardens still lacked attention. Waitstaff for the most part are very friendly and attentive! Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic resort, good food, amazing beach!

The resort is big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel comfortable. We had a junior suite with ocean view on the 2nd floor - fantastic view with the beach only 100 m away, would definitely recommend asking for a room facing the water, such a nice relaxing sound hearing the waves... Food was very good, in particular the fish, omelettes and chicken. Lots of choice with many changing/new choices every day so we quite enjoyed our meals and didn't feel we had to eat the same th [... read more]ing all the time. Two reservations were already made for us at two of the three a la carte restaurants, and both meals were excellent. This was my first time in Cuba, I was told the food would not be very good but it was quite the opposite! Nightly shows were amazing, with a very talented group of dancers, and the last night we got treated to an amazing rock band, what a show!

Melia Cayo Coco: Great place to Relax

Melia Cayo Coco is a very quiet hotel. Good food... I recommend the Italian and the International a la carte restaurants. The food was fantastic. The hotel is close to the airport (15-20 min). Very clean and the service is great. Very friendly staff. Beach is very nice and you can go for quite a long walk. Rooms are a little dated but everything worked. We liked the fact that everything is close. Not a lot of walking wherever you wanted to go. Our room was close enough to the beach th [... read more]at we could use the facilities in our room if we needed to. I don't recommend it for younger adults though who love the night life. That wasn't really there although a couple nights they involved guests in the shows and we were up dancing. Disco was open every night from 11pm but I didn't see anyone using it. Great hotel though, I'd go back...many people are returning guests, we know of 2 people that have been 60 times and met a couple others who have been 8 or more times.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing resort, will return

New modern resort, stayed seven days in April and would return. Check in took all of five minutes, then we were off to lunch, food at main buffet very good, four hot grilling stations and quick service, beach BBQ has great hotdogs and the a la cartes were excellent.. Rooms very clean , towels replaced and fridge restocked daily, Beach was beautiful and you could walk for miles, always lots of loungers on beach and around pool anytime of day. Must try the Spanish coffee at the lounge bar, wow. Overall a great holiday at a amazing resort. Thanks to our agent Lynne Dixon for all her attention and input towards our holiday.

Hotel Vigia: Great experience

No major complaints. Was a small quaint resort, close to the beach and easy to get around. The staff was amazing and friendly. Food was what was to be expected in Cuba, not gormet but good. We managed to fill our bellys. No long lineups or waiting anywhere. Room was nice and cozy, no major issues. Had a wonderful stay!!
