Tryp is a resort we go back to often because the resort is full of charm and beauty the staff at this hotel make you feel that you are in there own homes .The beach is so beautiful you can walk and enjoy the warm sand on your feet . Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Awesome resort

The rooms were great, service was great , the only down fault was the amount of activities that there were during the day! It would of been better to have more excitement but other than that , no problems at all with anything and it is very nice and well organized

Hotel Camino del Mar: Awesome week.

Another fantastic week at the Melia Cayo Guillermo. Love the people. Love the beach, cold beer and beautiful beach. Was quite surprised at the amount of work that went into expanding​ the beach but wow what ana approvement. Great food as always. Rocky, Barbara, Tommy, Maria at the front desk just to name a few thank​you thank you thank you for helping make my hard earned vacation perfect. If I had a complaint it would be there needs to be more shade things at the beach. See you in the fall.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Iberostar Playa Pilar

Just stayed at thos resort and I would recommend it to everyone. Food, service and cleanliness was excellent. We will go back very soon... Our second time booking with trip central and would recommend then too everyone also... Had very good service , Thank You for making this vacation a special one , once again...

Melia Jardines del Rey: Second time around.

This was our second trip to the Melia Jardines Del Rey, we thought that we would give this resort a second chance as our first trip the resort had just opened. This time the resort was full when we arrived but after the Easter weekend the crowd thinned out so this should have made things easier on the resort. The pool desperately needed cleaning, not even the pool deck was cleaned at night even though the pool closed at 6 p.m. They have not yet figured out the food service. The a la carte  [... read more]was extremely slow, the second buffet only opened if the first was full and the staff shutdown early and stood talking to one another. Even if you managed to get in when it opened your food was usually cold as they did not know how to keep the steam tables working. The overall impression we got from customer service, the front desk and most of the staff was that they did not care. 2 people on the front desk were great and the lobby bar staff and management were outstanding we went for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Would definitely go back to Cayo Coco for lobster at the Playa Prohibida and to take another tour with Pepe's Island Tours (williamstaxi@nauta.cu).

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: excellent

had a fabulous time. Staff was unbelievable. Would go back in a heart beat. When we had a problem it was looked after immediately. Because our plane was delayed 10 hours(Cubana Air} they allowed us to keep our room at no extra charge. The entertainment staff spoke excellent English. We would definately reccomend the Iberostar Daiquieri to anyone.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Pestana

I liked the Pestana. Good overall value for a family vacation. The beach is amazing. Wide and long, with volleyball and other activities during the day. The pools are nice, clean and big. There are two children pools that are good for the little ones - very shallow and off to the side. The rooms are dated, and need some TLC. But , are clean and the bathrooms work. The dining area had great food and service. The general dining area is a busy place, but the staff seem to keep up with th [... read more]e rush, and generally good service considering the volume that goes thru. Great entertainment every evening. Both with the evening show and the lobby activities. A happy atmosphere. Hotel could use some upgrades to keep it from slipping from 4 star to 3 star. But, was a good value for the money for now. We enjoyed it.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great family place

We enjoyed this vacation to Pestana, Cayo Coco. The grounds were ok. Most areas were well kept, but there were a few areas with rubbish / construction supplies piled up. The public areas were cleaned routinely, and staff were diligent to stay on top of anything that may come up... i.e. one evening we had quite a bit of rainfall that spilled over into part of the lobby and they were quick to clean up the area to avoid slips/ falls. Cleanly kept by staff, but nothing exceptional. The showers functioned well and we were never short of water. The Dining area was great. Food was fresh, and varied. Staff were eager to help you if you were ever in need/ want of a food that wasn't there. The pool area was great. There is a large adult pool as well as two kiddy pools off to the side. This was great for the little ones, and again clean and organized. Sometimes a challenge to get lounge chairs though if not there early enough. The beach was amazing. Period:)

It is an older resort. Rooms very dated and beds very bad. The pools are good, grounds not too bad. The alcarts resturants are very good. The buffet is good many options with grilling options. Service is excellent. The beach is one of the finest which helps even out the resorts age. We are not drinkers but people looked pleased with the bars. I wouldn't recommend only because people would be very disappointed with the rooms. Otherwise if they are just beach / ocean families this is a grea [... read more]t place. Many people we talked to have been there many times over but wish it was better kept up.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Newer management doesn't live up to the reputation it had

The resort grounds are still lovely, the staff are still friendly. This was my 6th visit and I found it lacking in the personal touch this time. No management to be found anywhere. I requested months and months in advance for a bungalow in either 2 or 3 block. I understand it's only a request but in spite of my request, or because of it, we were given bungalow 5. A much further walk than we anticipated. They did find another room for us the next day in bungalow 1 but it meant packing up again an [... read more]d we couldn't go until 4 pm. Other guests we met during our visit booked their holiday a couple of weeks prior to leaving and they received bungalow rooms in 2 block. And they didn't request anything. Also, the entire week, at least once a day our card keys to enter our room, whether in 5 block or 1 block didn't work and we had to go back to the front desk and get it reswiped. I felt like this was done out of spite because they were put out by our requests. I've never been treated this horribly by any staff in any resort in Cuba before and we've travelled to Cuba 30 times. They were always running out of things. No pizza, no ham or cheese for their sandwiches at the grill. The assortment of food was less than any other time also. No toilet paper or clean towels either. This is quite normal and we've brought extra tp and towels with us so it wasn't an issue for us. We ordered a grilled cheese at the grill one day and received a small plate with melted cheese on it. No bread, just melted cheese? The language barrier with some of the newer staff is quite challenging. I was sure they hired only those that spoke and understood English but we encountered a large barrier this time. The dinner for repeat guests was never offered to us nor was any ala cartes. This is also very unusual. We've always enjoyed this special attention that the hotel has offered in the past. We had to ask about it a customer service and were told that the seating for the repeaters was booked. Nice! Also, we were only given a choice of three restaurants for ala carte. The mediterain, Cuban or Asian. I asked about the steal house, because I've been there before and I know there is one. We were told no, and she repeated the three choices. Found out later in the week that yes there is a steak restaurant from other guests. Why the lying? If it was booked up, well okay. But why tell us they have no steak house? Turns out it wasn't good anymore so I guess it was just as well. The hotel isn't totally all inclusive either. If you want an ice cream sandwich you need to pay for it at the grill and then they will unlock the pad lock and get one for you? This was free before. Also they sell the good beer by can at the beach and give away the awful stuff on tap. The beach has been cleared of all the coral and it is massive and gorgeous. The best part of the entire stay was this beach. The diamond club is a big waste of money and I felt like guests were segregated because of it. They offer a late check out for repeat guests and that was the same as my other prior visits. We never received a complimentary bottle of rum in our room and overall I would say this was my worse experience at this resort. I've always recommended this resort and have sent 30-40 people to it. I honestly won't be able to recommend it anymore. They just don't look after their guests anymore. I'm sorry to say goodbye to my home away from home but we won't be returning to any memories resorts anymore. I'd rather pay a bit more and be treated like I matter. Good bye Memories Flamenco!!

Melia Costa Rey: Best Vacation Ever

Pullman Cayo Coco was absolutely amazing. From the pools to the staff to the food the entertainment and the beach all fantastic! Pullman Cayo Coco is one of the nicest resorts we have been to. The rooms are so new and clean and very well appointed. Already thinking about our trip back next year. Thank you to Marlena Bielak for all her help booking this trip.

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful resort

2 year old beautiful modern resort, grounds were well kept, pools were amazing, exceptional beach and food was very good. Staff at reception and dining area spoke very good English and were very pleasant and helpful exspecially Arcel who worked the activities.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Great resort !!

Everyone was so friendly and kind. Rooms felt a bit dirty but the maid came everyday and cleaned everything. Great entertainment at night. They did pool and beach games. The beach was unreal. White sand blue water. Everything was easy to navigate going off the resort everyone was very helpful.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Okay Resort

The resort was ok. I would give it a 3 star. I travel 3 or 4 times a year to the Caribbean and it's definitely not a 4 star. The service and staff was excellent and the beach was beautiful. Rooms and resort are in need of updates and repair. Food was average. It was the same thing everyday. The Asian restaurant was very good. There is no activities on the resort. Other then in the pool. After 10:30-11pm at night the resort goes into sleep mode. It's a good place to relax, if that's what you are [... read more] looking for. Would I go back to that resort, "no". I would experience further south of the island. The resort is isolated from town. So, shopping is limited. Look luck to all, cheers!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Vacation Resort

The resort was clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only slight complaint may be about the food. They had the same food all week. Maybe they should have changed it up. But all in all it was wonderful. I would go back.

Melia Costa Rey: Nice hotel - not a 5 Star

April 14-23 - Deluxe Ocean View Room Pros: Beach - amazing, but because it's "reclaimed" sand from the ocean, there are lots of pieces of broken shells, but really long/wide, great for walking Staff: Beautiful people, humble, grateful, and smarter than most tourists that go there........special shout out to Jose Antonio Rodrigues & Maria Paolo in the buffet, Wilbur/Juandra/William/Youdanys in the Beach bar and Vivi/Lunch Grill area - very special people who make a difference! Yaque [... read more]line - meal reservations, very nice and very helpful. Customer Service Lady: I'm sorry I did not get her name, but she arranged for a birthday cake/champagne for my friends' birthday. Food: This is a Pro & Con - For the most part - good from what we experienced and heard about Cuba food. However the CONS: Orange juice was TANG (for those who remember), no bacon (other hotels had lots of bacon), Regular TEA (had lemon/mint - both of which were not very tasty). Ala Cartes: We ate at Cuban/Gourmet/Japanese/French - all good - French - best meal, followed by Cuban, then Gourmet & Japanese. CONS: Front desk staff not really helpful - with the exception of Norge - he was very helpful, friendly. Front desk Money exchange - would say "no money today" or no 1$$ bills today, then I walk by 2 minutes later and the person behind me is getting 1$$.....if the hotel advertises currency exchange, they should have the $$ to support. I felt I was being forced to take larger bills and tip greater amounts. Lobby Bar: Great drinks - bartenders not friendly, and sometimes walk by you a few times before asking you for a drink. Towel Bar: Very nice staff - 3X there were no towels.......frustrating. Rooms: Nice, nothing really special - not 5 Star. Bathroom was a bit of a wasted space, not sure why there needs to be a big wooden window on the internal wall looking from the bathroom into the room. Only had hot water 4 days out of 10 - did not matter what time we showered in the afternoon - any time from 4-7pm - cold water. Toilet would not flush for 2 days - finally I realized it's the tank ball/arm not working - reported 2X - maintenance came to fix - well they really just lifted the back tank and flicked the ball - which is what I did - it did not get fixed. Room Card: Deactivated 2X in one day, and again next day - Front desk (one of the not helpful employees) said "do you have coins in with your room card? I said yes - he said "Well that's causing the key to deactivate. I said - why did you not tell me when you gave me coin instead of 1$$ bills? He did not have an answer for me. Weather - disappointing. It was very windy (not breezy) for the entire week, except 2 last days - which were great. Not the experience I was hoping for, but not the hotel's fault. Lastly - you have to be able to handle 100% French language - it's quite overwhelming the population of Francophones. Met some very nice folks from QC on the beach - most were loud, boorish and rude. I will not be going back to Pullman Resort, nor recommending to anyone I happen to speak to.

Melia Costa Rey: Awesome views. Beach wonderful .

The grounds are well arranged, plants life is awesome. we had water coming in from the roof and though the ceiling vent and the light fixture in the bathroom over the toilet .We asked the front desk to send someone up to fix it no one come to even look at it .Front desk staff didn't care . They forgot our wait up calls , they also didn't tell us our flight was cancelled from 6 pm to 2 am . We didn't get any thing we needed from them .They are a lot of things falling apart .

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Pestana Cayo Coco

Pestana is a great resort to visit. The ground and builds are very well kept. Food was excellent and the drinks never stop. 24hr bar and snack bar, are a great option. Beach is beautiful and there are no lack of chairs. Only down fall is the poolside is always reserved early by people( more chair would be great, or no reserving). All in all it was a great trip with great weather. Our travel agent picked us a great place to stay. 5*

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not a good experience

The service was poor. The beach wasn't what we were expecting. The food was below average. There were a lot of cockroaches everywhere. We always lower our expectations when traveling to Cuba. We have been south around 20 times and also to this area. However this was probably the worst resort we have been too. We aren't ones to complain about things. However we would never return. Having stayed at 3 other Iberostars in the past (Rose Hall Jamaica, Iberostar Dominicana, and Iberostar Grand P [... read more]unta Cana) we expected more and will likely not be staying at an Iberostar property again.

Melia Costa Rey: great resort

Very nice resort. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and curtious but never got any replies from the front desk when we told them that the roof in our room leaked in two places when it rained. The room was mopped up the next day when the rooms were cleaned. Our flight was delayed 12 hours, which was no fault of theirs, but the 1AM time call we asked for at the "front desk" never happened.
