Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort

Our rooms were clean and quiet. Grounds were well kept. No shortage of food, drinks & entertainment. Staff were friendly and always welling to help with whatever we needed. My son was treated extra special on his birthday.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Our 40th wedding anniversary

Hotel was awesome. From the time we arrived, where we received VIP treatment, to our room which had a Happy Anniversary banner and a nice bottle of champagne and chocolates then to lunch and several drinks. Staff were wonderful (especially Ruth, Jose, Omar and Kevin), grounds well kept and restaurants and buffets had lots of variety. Never a problem getting loungers either st the pool or beach. Highly recommend the resort for relaxation or high impact activities which we enjoyed both.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fabulous resort

We loved the resort. It was a destination wedding and our son and his bride had issues with wedding dinner venue changing the evening before and the meal was not as requested. The food in the restaurants was excellent, so the reception dinner was disappointing. Our group of 33 guests had a great time otherwise.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best Bang for Buck

Pros: Adults only / Amazing food / Private beach area / AAAA Service / The resort App becomes very useful. You have access to all of the other resorts when staying at the Sian Khan. Cons: LOT'S OF MOSQUITO'S

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Family Fun!

Everything was great....the hotel, views, food, nightlife and the clean beach at Tulum had fish eating out of your hand. The staff was very friendly and the shuttles to the different areas around the hotels was a quick and easy ride. The beach has a fishing charter with knowledgable guides and know thier stuff, I caught a 25lb barracuda to prove it. Ill be back!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Big resort with lots to do

I traveled alone with my 5 & 7 yr olds. They loved the waterpark and pools. The "kid friendly" night shows were fun, but a bit late, so after a day in the sun, the kids were really tired. The food was decent, but hard to find really "healthy" options. The resort is really big, so even though there are some shuttles, the kids complained about having to walk so far to everything when it was so hot (traveled in August). The shallow part of the water is full of seaweed, so the kids didn't enjoy the ocean and preferred the pool. Service was hit and miss. Some staff were amazing, others seemed to dislike English speaking people, so they would serve other people first. The rooms were good, but some wear and tear. They are on top of maintenance though if you have an issue. The beds were comfy and room spacious. Pool/beach towel service seemed to always be out of towels which was frustrating. Seemed to have enough beach/pool chairs in the shade to go around. The kids club was good, but kids had to be there at either 10am or 2pm to do activities outside of the center. It was far from Turquesa, so without a direct shuttle, it meant a lot of walking to get there. You also can't leave them over lunch, so you have to get them, take them to the buffet (which isn't close) and bring them back which lead to cranky kids.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Overall A Great Resort

The resort is small, however the complex is huge. You can stay in your resort all week, however if you book certain restaurants, or you like to go to the Casino, or visit the shopping area you need to take the resort bus. The resort is clean and really well taken care of. The pools are nice, however if you want a good lounger at the pool you need to wake up really early to reserve your spot. If you want a pool cabana you need to wake up even earlier. Here is a small tip, some people will leave t [... read more]heir towels on loungers all night so if you go down early in the morning and find towels on loungers check if they are soaked. If they are just remove them and put your towel there. There are signs all over the resort that reserving chairs is strictly prohibited so leaving towels on a lounger overnight is someones stupidity and your ultimate gain. The beach is OK. Very busy, however you will always find a lounger. If you want a lounger that is closer to the beach however the same reservation rules apply. Wake up early and reserve. The water at the beach is not great. It gets deep really quickly and the water is full of weeds. If you think you are getting a beach like in Cuba or Jamaica you're out of luck. The food is amazing especially at the a la carte restaurants. Putting on a few pounds is defiantly easily accomplished at this place. The rooms are nice as well. Very spacious and clean. Overall its a very nice resort and you won't be disappointed, however if you enjoy a quiet vacation with minimal noise and interruptions this is not the resort for you.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Slow Service

For a large hotel, there is no reason that there can't be ice machines on every floor. Instead, you had to call room service to get ice to your room which on average took about 1.5 hours to arrive at your room as well as when ordering food. There were a couple of nights when we cancelled our room service after waiting almost 2 hours and the staff didn't even acknowledge the fact that I had mentioned that the order was placed almost 2 hours prior. Also, we paid for all inclusive yet all the  [... read more]bars closed everyday including weekends at 10:30pm. You were forced to go to the disco if you wanted drinks after that time. I guess that's how they make their money by cutting off the drinks so early in the night. Trying to get a beach towel was impossible. Anytime of day, there were none available. You got 2 beach towels in your room at check in so if you wanted fresh ones, you had to hope that at some point in the day they would have some so you could change in your used ones for new ones.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Ok resort

All was fine but when we came to 5 star resort we got room with AC not working, fridge not working, safety box not working - broken. We got another room and after two days we had a fload in the room from AC. Did I regret going there? No, as we so many nice things on our trip. Would I go again? Never.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Ok resort!

Hotel was nice, I'm a food guy and food here was not up to par... complex is huge and takes forever to get anywhere! Beach was not the best, tons of seaweed all over the beach!! Services was ok Just my opinion

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Truly 5 Star

This resort was truling fantastic. From the management to the service of the employees toall the amenaties. The rooms were simply beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the pillow menu was perfect. My wife, daughter and really loved being here and felt really welcomed by the staff. The srevice in the restaurants was first class and the food always delicious. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

The resort itself was beautiful and there was always something happening to keep us entertained. Only complains are that the service was at times slow, and uncaring. Was unhappy about the amount of seaweed on the beach, made it difficult to go into the water. Especially since Punta Cana was supposed to have the nicest beaches.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Outstanding Family Vacation!!!

Our family just came home from our vacation at Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal Resort. We all had a great time there. A big thank you to all the staff there, they are all so committed to their work. 2 thumbs up. My son enjoyed the Eco-Bahia walking tour. Very educational. We learned so much about the Mayan culture. Thank you to our tour guide. The must try restaurant is Don Pablo at Tulum.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Resort amazing but service not good

We have been to this resort seven times and usually everything has been wonderful. The resort itself is amazing, the people friendly. The grounds are kept very well.but we were disappointed this time with the service. Both in our rooms and in restaurants. Very slow service or room not kept up with towels etc.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Very close to paradise

Probably the only bad thing to say was that I had to kill a medium size spider in my room. The hotel was advised. All the rest ALL the rest was just from another planet. Nothing is perfect but they work hard to get there.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Memories for life at Grand Bahia!

So I'm a frequent vacationer and have been to plenty of resorts. I must say Grand Bahia Principe is definitely in my top 3 list of resorts I've stayed at. The resort itself is very huge and well looked after. The food at the buffet was very good but a little bit repetitive. The a la carte restaurants we dined at (Don Pablo,Garden Grill Steak House & Tallawah)were very delicious and felt like a proper dining experience. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good Experience!

The resort was amazing. All workers and representatives did an amazing job at making sure the vacation was fun and relaxing. The drivers and guides were very informative and met every one of our needs. The resort was well maintained and beautiful. What I didnt like was that our room was normally cleaned in the late afternoon(around 3pm) and we would sometimes be back from our excursions or from our plans before that time to relax. We would prefer our rooms to be cleaned before we got back. A [... read more]lso, we were charged for using the safe in our room for the duration of our trip even though we didn't use the safe at all during our stay. When we first arrived they struggled getting everyone situated and checked in but our West Jet representative did a good job keeping everyone in the loop with plans throughout our stay. The store in the lobby not the "Lobby Shop" but the other souvenir store is not worth going into. The man in that store has overpriced items and i found really annoying as he kept trying to convince my 9 year old daughter to spend all her Canadian dollars on trinkets. Instead of going to that store we found it was better to shop out in Ocho Rios or if you need anything last minute, hop on a golf cart and shop at the Bahia Village but bring your bargaining skills.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort, had a blast!

Everything was fantastic. Buffet and a la carte restaurants were great. Advise: book your a la carte as soon as you arrive, they are all very popular. The beach and pool chairs fill quickly, get there early. Most people save chairs using towels. My one criticism is that the rooms either have two Double beds or one King including a couch/bed for a kid. A double bed for 2 adults is pretty squishy...keep this in mind if needing the double bed option for kids. May need to get a second room wit [... read more]h a King next time.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

The location was great. Resort is large with 8 hotels. We stayed at the Esmeralda which is great because it's the closest to the beach if you have kids. The food was very good. The rooms were clean and provided everything we need. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the beach but they were always cleaning it. This depends on the rain and season. There is always cabanas for shade. I would definitely come back to this resort . 5 star for sure! Highly recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Ok Vacation Place

Nice pools and decent food. However, common areas were understaffed and lacked air conditioning. Landscaping was great, but rooms were dated. Also, wouldn't recommend if you have small children. Resort is too large and you are very dependent on the trollies getting you from one place to the next. Trollies weren't frequent enough and very difficult to know which one you needed to take to get to a specific destination (should use different colours to differentiate).
