Sunscape Curacao Resort: This resort is fantastic.

This resort is one of the best we have ever been at. This was our 4th time and it was just as good as before. The owners have done a lot of upgrades and the snorkeling is wonderful. The staff are extremely pleasant and only want to please. We highly recommend this resort.

Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire: Beautiful new resort

My husband and I stayed at Delfins for 2 weeks in a garden view studio. The resort is brand new; opened in November 2017 and is quite beautiful with a great location on the water. In hindsight we should have booked a 1 bedroom with ocean view for the few extra dollars. Although the studio is quite adequate for a short stay I found the very narrow kitchen sink with no counter space to be a little frustrating after 3-4 days. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant on si [... read more]te is excellent but very pricey if you intend to eat there everyday. The bar menu is more reasonable and has quite a few very good sections. The one issue we had with the bar restaurant at Delfins is the fact that their menu was only available in Dutch. It does not change every day so I don't understand why it is not translated to English. All other documentation has the English translation. Also one of the bar staff was unable to explain the menu to us and did not even offer to call over another employee who was more fluent in English. We were left to gamble with our meal orders. Luckily this was the one exception to otherwise excellent service. Although the resort advertises a full PADI dive operation on site it does not yet have dive boats or a dock. They have a dive store, a tank refilling station etc. But divers must drive to Port Bonaire (a few minutes down the road) to meet up with their sister dive operation. Delfins advised us that the docks are going in at the end of March and then they should be able to provide full dive services shortly thereafter. I would go back to this resort once their dive operation is fully operation.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Same beach, same people, but different resort

I stayed at Sunscape and it didn't feel the same this year. Last year we were warmly greeted with a cocktail, private check-in in the Convention Center, and given an appointment to talk about excursions. This year we lined up for quite a while in the lobby getting our room keys, etc. No cocktail. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the dryer didn't work and there wasn't enough hot water. Also there was no peace and quiet. There was terrible noise from the resorts on Mambo Beach.  [... read more] Other nights there was loud music from a party by the Dive Shop, so loud we couldn't hear the band singing by the pool. In the afternoon there was a loud speaker blaring from in front of the Japanese restaurant. We had four nights out of the seven when we were trying to settle for the night with loud music outside. I notice signs that the resort needs attention, peeling paint and missing shingles. There is only one cafe serving the whole resort, which meant long lineups and supplies running out. There are only two very small shuttle buses a day going into town. We had to book ahead and were squeezed into the tiny bus with babies, strollers, etc. Couldn't there be a bigger bus and more frequent buses? br /> We were harassed to attend a presentation about the other resorts owned by the company and to join a travel club, every time we asked a question at the VIP desk. He kept talking about the new resort being built in Aruba. Maybe that's where the money is going. We finally attended the presentation to get free vouchers, but it was a waste of time for us. The food was good, but nothing special. All in all, there was a tired look and feeling about the place. The wi-fi was overpriced at $30 a device. The gift shops were always empty, all overpriced, chintzy stuff. Last year the staff lined up at the door to wave goodbye to us, but not this year, just on the bus and on our way. Same beach, same colourful fish, warm water. However, I wouldn't go back to Sunscape

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Love it

Amazing staff, Great food, lots of choices, something for everyone. Resort is a bit older, but rooms were nice and clean-hot water for showers was an issue sometimes. Overall, great time, fantastic weather, would recommend this resort.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very Nice Resort

The resort has all of the major things down pat. They could use some work with the small things like having salt and pepper shakers on each table, not running out of towels and having more than one coffee cup in your room. The salad bar is also not so great.

The grounds were well maintained. This was our third trip to this resort but found the a la cart restaurants service was poor. Room was very musty smelling. The beach was great and the buffet restaurant was good but there too the service was lacking.

Kunuku Aqua Resort: Love This Resort

This is the second time at this hotel this winter. I must say that the food got so much better on the second trip which was the only thing which was not perfect about this resort before. We had the "almost all inclusive package". This hotel is extremely clean, spacious and beautiful as well with many pools. This hotel is not for people that want to party and dance the night away! I would say it caters to 50+ age groups with many young families and children. A car rental is strongly recomme [... read more]nded as this hotel is not downtown and not directly on the beach. Visited many of the hotels in downtown and they really don't compare besides being on the beach. The beaches downtown are by far not comparable to the beaches on the far western side of the island. This is a Dutch Island and the quality and comfort of food and accommodations are far superior then the common Caribbean Islands like Dominican Republic and Cuba. I rate this hotel 9 out of 10 for all it's great features.

The Sunscape was a nice hotel. Food was good! Staff was excellent and accommodating.. Weather was beautiful. Hotel could use a little TLC. All in all my wife and I had a nice relaxing, enjoyable vacation,.

Renaissance Curacao: Great resort

We stayed at this resort during our second time staying in Curacao. This resort was located close to all the activities of Willemstad and although it had a small beach it was all you needed to get some sun and swim in the salt water of the ocean or fresh water in the two infinity pools. The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and helpful they would go out of their way to help you for what every you needed. The view on the balcony for the ocean view rooms was detracted by a barg [... read more]e that was constructing a pier for the expansion of the cruise port which will be better once the construction is complete. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the wifi was excellent throughout the resort even at the beach.

Sandals Royal Curacao: Resort Retreat

Perfect place to relax and recharge. Beautiful, elegant resort. I would recommend for anyone wanting quiet and calm, although there are plenty of activities (yoga, golf, tennis, very nice gym, hiking, scuba/snorkel) if you wish to keep busy. Great for couples or mature groups.

Sandals Royal Curacao: You have to go if you're looking for relaxation!

We just came back last night and I had to write a review. I went with my husband, my baby (9 mos), my sister, brother and my in-laws. We all LOVED the resort and will be back. We were looking for a semi-quiet place to hang out and that's what we got. My in-laws golf three days and loved the course. The best they've been to. The rest of us pool and beach-bummed and loved the relaxed environment. There's a pier that goes the length of the beach so the waters are VERY calm and it's pretty shallow for 40 feet or so. The water is CRYSTAL CLEAR! We saw fish and crabs in them. The bar on the beach is brilliant. Make sure you get a premier waterview room is you're right at the beach. An extra plus! The restaurants are good but there's not a lot of variety. There's three restaurants and at any time, two are open. The menu doesn't change too much but it's good food. The TWO pools are great! Lots of space to swim and sunbathe in. It's just a perfect place if all you want to do is hang out, drink and eat. We will be back.

Lions Dive and Beach Resort : Wonderful Vacation!

Stayed with my sister for a week at Lions. No complaints at all. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Food good. Beach amazing! Best snorkeling I've done anywhere. Service and staff were 2nd to none. Always friendly and eager to please!

Lions Dive and Beach Resort : nice resort, not great service

Resort was ok. It was convenient for diving but there was a lack of amenities and comforts, ie no shampoo, limited towels. We upgraded our room which made a difference. The staff were polite but not friendly or engaging, especially if you're used to Mexico or Cuba, however the dive team was awesome. The weather was fantastic and the beach was great. Wouldn't rush back to Curacao or this resort.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: A hot, glorious week in Curacao

The grounds people did a good job of the landscaping but fell short on picking up garbage that had been blown around and did not fix the loose, missing or unpainted roof shingles. This took away from the overall nice resort. The room was very nice, nice bed and nice sheets. Bartenders were not lively...didn't seem to enjoy their job. Room cleaning staff was always smiling and saying hi, but did not refresh our towels each day. By the end we only had a couple towels left. We never had hot wate [... read more]r in the shower, just warm. Some of the pools had chipped tile, but were still nice. The food was quite good. Entertainment was good also.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Small quiet resort nice resort

Nice resort , nice beach , good food, good service.Entertainment could be better . Not much to do in the evening time . But the surrounding areas of the resort allow offsite entertainment. Mombo beach is a few minute walk . Willemstad is a quick cab or bus fare away

Kunuku Aqua Resort: Great Resort

Everything was great about this hotel except for the buffet, It had little choice and overcooked vegetables but was still good. We took the almost All Inclusive which was less expensive but the all all inclusive provides you with a la carte dinners which makes it more pleasurable if delicious food is your thing. Excellent helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms with nice balconies and lots of pools. If you have kids, this is an excellent place for you and your youngsters to enjoy.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: A great vacation!

A bit more $ than Cuba, D.R. or Mexico but well worth it. Several restaurants and bars. Good food, lots of variety. Attentive and very friendly staff, clean grounds, spotless room, comfy beds. Only 15 min from airport, 10 min to town (free shuttle 2x a day). Weather was perfect, ~ 28 every day, steady breeze, comfortable. Clear blue/green water, breakwall stopped the really big waves from coming in.

Kunuku Aqua Resort: wonderful family getaway

The resort is fairly new so everything is modern and clean which was very nice. The staff were friendly and attentive, aside from the maid whom we only had every other day? The pools are clean and the kids really enjoyed having water slides right outside the room. The beaches the shuttle goes to are clean and safe. Great snorkeling. And the tour into town is wonderful.

Kunuku Aqua Resort: fantastic resort

The hotel was very clean and modern. The rooms were great, rainfall shower heads and all. The grounds were very well kept. The kids had a blast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The layout was great as it doesnt matter where your room is you are close to a pool and the buffet is central to everything. The shuttle service to town and the beaches was perfect. Did not leave you there for too long. The beaches were fabulous.

Our first impression of the resort was not great. We were dropped off in the luggage/storage area instead of at the main entrance. I would suggest this be changed as first impressions are important. Once we were inside we were more impressed. I loved the size of the resort. You did not need to walk far to get to anything. It was not overcrowded. Reservations were only required for the Japanese restaurant. The service was good. We found it a bit slow sometimes in the buffet to get coffee, juice or cutlery. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The beach was beautiful and the snorkelling was amazing! The entertainment and bar staff were very friendly and helped make our vacation a memorable one. The free shuttle service to Willemstad was a great perk!
