When we arrived we were treated to a drink & given a key to our room to see if we liked it. We loved it! Ocean view, large room 2 beds for 2 ladies & a couch. Spotless clean washroom too. All we would need for our week. The staff, polite & easy to make our stay a fantastic one! The pools were clean. Food was delish! We were down at the ocean many times swimming & it was cleaned daily in front. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Third amazing visit!

This was mine and my wife's third visit to the Royal Decameron Complex. This time we brought our 13 and 14 year old daughters for a surprise trip. Everything about the trip and the resort was amazing! The staff are all so friendly, the beach is beautiful and the other guests are so pleasant. It is an older resort and this shows but it adds to the charm in my opinion. Its large, sprawling and you never feel crowded. 100% will return many more times over the years.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Lovey, clean resort!

This hotel is beautifully kept, colourful. Service is great. The pools, bars and restaurants near block 5 seem to be the least busy. We travelled over the busy New Years week and never had to wait for a table, a chair, or a drink. We dined at three specialty restaurants and the food was ok. Beds are hard. Hard to get a hot shower.... Hallways and noise from other rooms is kind of loud. The area of Bucerias it is in is fantastic. The resort was amazing so many activities for the whole family and well looked after on a daily basis. The food was plentiful and so many different options.loved the omelette station for breakfast and the Italian Al a carte was delicious. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Exactly what we expected

I always read reviews before a trip so we are well informed and prepared. The resort was pretty much expected but we did upgrade our room a day after arriving. The supersaver room is super small with no balcony. We moved to building one which is the perfect location. No extras like blow dryers and ironing boards and an iron have to be requested. Resort was clean and was our room and the food in all the restaurants was super good. Always a lot of selection and tastey. I don't think we will return because it's just a busier beach than we prefer and the loungers are not at all comfortable. It will be interesting to see what the two new resorts will be like. We felt safe walking around town and in the area.

Had a great vacation. 6 of us stayed the first week of December, ocean front suite and 2 garden rooms. Check in was smooth, requested fridges were in the rooms and paid for the safe at check -in. Food was great, plenty of choices at all meals. The 2 a-la -cartes were very good, would recommend going, seatings at 6:30 & 8:30pm for the one above the Buffet and 7pm & 8:30pm for the one at the far end of the resort. Daily activities were non-stop, something for everyone at the beach, pool and b [... read more]y the tennis court for archery (big favorite on this trip!) Steel band played during supper, then the house band, daily awards were presented and then evening entertainment. The disco opened at 11pm but we didn't make it up that late. Plenty of beach chairs, new ones were being brought in, less by the pool but you'd rather be at the beach anyways. Quiet pool was nice to visit, bar right there was never busy. The swing bar (Jetty bar) on the beach was very nice. Rooms were spacious with a large washroom and walk in closet. AC worked great and even though our room was by the road we didn't hear a thing and slept vey well. Nice comfortable mattress. Enjoyed our stay and will return!

We have been going to the Royal Decameron for 15+ years now. ROOMS: While they have made some minor upgrades, I wouldn't go into it expecting too much. Wifi is still only available in the two lobby areas and the rooms (while clean) could use an upgrade. The beds are on the harder side but if you request they will put a foam topper on when you check in. If you want to be close to the beach but away from the noise, I recommend building 3 if you can request it. Building 5 (adults only) and 6 ar [... read more]e farther back from the beach but offer a more quiet space. Pool 1 is the party pool so if you are looking for that, building 1 or 2 is the place for you. FOOD: Hit and miss, some you want to go back for seconds, others you don't finish. They have reservations at numerous dinner spaces if you don't want to do the buffet. I highly recommend the Japanese restaurant, our favourite. Snack bar is always stocked with fresh chips and guac. ENTERTAINMENT: We have been to a variety of locations throughout Mexico and the entertainment crew here is by far the best. They practice every day for 5+ hours, have a large amphitheatre for performances and between the costumes and talent they are always amazing to watch. They also have a variety of shows so if you are staying more than 1 week you will likely not see the same one twice. While the shows are always family friendly, they do start a 9:30pm so keep in mind if you have young kids. They also have different activities throughout the day that you can participate in and a kids club program for the young ones. SERVICE: All members of staff that we interacted with, from maids and groundskeepers to management at check in, they are ALL very friendly and will do their best to accommodate your requests. In the end it is not the most luxurious place so if you are looking for that go elsewhere. If you're looking for a place that is budget friendly that still offers you a relaxing enjoyable trip, or if you are a family, this is a perfect place.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great Ocean Views

This smaller sized hotel meant no line ups at meals and bars. Great location 10 min from airport and walking distance to the “hip strip”. Loved that all the rooms had an ocean view! Food was plentiful with lots of choice for all tastes.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Gone down since 2yrs ago

As usual the staff were exceptional. We found that food quality has gone down abit since our last stay in 2017. We like block 5 building as there were no children in this block 2 yrs ago. Not now. Children and partying going on till early mornings. Not all nights, but last 4 nights put a damper on previous 10 days. Still can't beat location to Bucerias and all it's amenities.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Delay nightmare

We had a rough start to our vacation on December 1, 2019. When we landed at the airport our Air Canada Representative was late which caused a lot of confusion for travellers. Then, when she finally arrived and checked our documents, we boarded a bus where we sat for almost an hour….no idea why, other than for the driver to sell beer to the passengers at $5 American per bottle. (There was also no Air Canada Representative available, at any time, at our hotel to assist with our concerns and wo [... read more]rries). When we finally arrived at the Royal Decameron hotel the hotel staff had no idea why we were there. The staff member could not find my name in their system anywhere, and after making a bunch of phone calls, with negative results, made me “hold” a room for a night with my Visa card, even though I had all of my paper work with me. The “ hold” was for a total of $306.50, posted to my bank account. Not only could they not locate our reservation, they demanded photo copies of our passports even after showing them all of our documentation. This is extremely concerning to me as no one should be taking “copies” of passports and keeping them. I requested they be destroyed once the proper paperwork came through, which they said they would do. I have no way of confirming that actually happened. I am always extremely concerned of fraud and identity theft both here in Canada and when we travel as I am a government employee, who deals with fraud cases involving identify theft on a daily basis. My partner and I travel frequently and have never faced anything like this. One of the reasons we chose this trip was for the amazing flight times provided by Air Canada. Our plan was to be on the beach and enjoying the beautiful weather by noon. Instead, due to all of the unnecessary hold ups and reservation issues, our actual vacation time was delayed for several hours. Although that may seem unimportant, to us, it was extremely important since our last day at the resort we had to catch our bus back to the airport at 8:00 a.m. …. I have no idea what went wrong and at what level of the booking process our information was delayed. All I know is that this is not how I wanted, or expected, my vacation to begin. On Dec. 2, 2019, our second day at the resort, we met with the front desk at 11:00 a.m. in order to see if they had our paperwork come through. There we waited again for approximately 45 minutes for them to finally tell us all was in order. The $306.50 was reimbursed, which has not been confirmed yet as it is still showing as pending in my account. On a positive note, the resort itself was lovely. The staff was amazing, the resort very clean, and the food was excellent. I have zero complaints when it comes to that. I would definitely recommend the Royal Decameron to my friends and family and would easily give it a 4.5 star.

Great beach,staff,location,grounds. Basic rooms. Food so so. In 15 years of going to this resort I can say very little has changed. Same cushions on the chairs, same furniture in the rooms which are becoming very dated. Food quality has dropped dramatically.

We have been to this resort a total of 18 times. My only complaint is with wifi. Should have in all rooms. Rooms are very clean and service is good. This resort appeals to all ethnic groups. When you are there. You feel very safe . Some staff remember you from previous visit and also is amazing that they remember your names. Very friendly.

Needs up date. Beautiful location, grounds and general area just great. Landscaping well-kept but dated. The front deck staff are the most welcoming on this property. Housekeeping very pleasant. The cook bring replacement food and have not noting that there are no plates. I spent 7 days and every days at this resort, the same issue each day, for all three meals served plates missing in salad and dessert stations and no one seemed to be concerned, when they were told it will soon come. Everyone in the dining room should be watching these areas. The hotel was not fully booked there should be extra of everything lying around. After a long wait, cold plates in the hot food section, hot plates in the cold food section. Servers picking up your utensils before you are finished. Servers not engage with guest. Ignoring people of colour and are more focus on white folks whom they think will give a bigger tip. Some meal, average but low end cut of meats. Carving skill lacking at roast station this results in a lot of waist. Recycled food items are prevalent and needs more creativity in its' presentation. This my 5th stay at this resort because of the location and it's proximity to my place of business functionality while I am in Jamaica. I have stayed at the Bahia 3 times, Rio twice , Breezes twice , Hyatt rose hall once , Sandals Negril, twice all in Jamaica . Club Caribbean best in creative entertainment. I will be visiting this resort again because of it proximity and convivence to my functionality while in Jamaica. The front desk staff are well trained very professional in their work. I had two servers that was very professional female Althea , and very tall light skin gentleman for got his name , they gave five star service. They should be training the new servers. I would recommend this location to a business, not a honeymooner or younger folks no night activity for the younger set . refrigerator in rooms would be nice.

We arrived late on November 23, 2019 and instantly realized that we were receiving an inferior room and that the people at the front desk could not speak adequate English.Our Transat tour operator guide(Jorge Garcia) was truly uninterested in assisting us with information about the Royal Decameron Complex. Awful, awful, awful food, especially at the restaurants.We are NOT fussy eaters, but this resort has really gone downhill since last we were there. We went on no trips at all, except to the Puerto Vallarta Mercado, which was also terrible. No Mexicans seemed to want to deal on their prices at all. We were not treated well, not fed well,prices in and around Vallarta are way over priced now, because of the cruise ships.We have TRULY been disappointed for the last time in Puerto Vallarta and will never return. I hope that our story is not indicative of others that Trip Central has sent people to vacation at. The Royal Decameron resorts(We were told) have all been recently purchased by the country of Colombia.It seems to be operated as poorly as the Colombian Government(Third rate). Overall I was pretty happy with the resort. There were a few things that stuck out that I was not happy with. 1. Housekeeping was not done on a daily basis. I was told that to leave tips so I would get better service for housekeeping, I am a single Grandma who had a nephew and Grandson with her I was saving money for excursions and other local vendors. I felt that I should not have to tip the housekeeping it is all inclusive. Same as above for tipping, when going to the restaurants, even if it was Buffet. I tip a few times, but try to save money for excursions and vendors for souvenirs. When we did not tip our faces were recognized, well at least this is what I felt, that the service was not there. There was a few times that we had to wait for a drink of water for well over a half hour, and the place was not busy. or even to be greeted. 3. The food was repetitive even throughout the separate buffets. However there was days for special events. Such as Mexican, international,. Overall the food was pretty good. 4. The staff were immensely friendly and professional, 5. Lots of pools, lots of beach space, not overcrowded, great events throughout the day. 6. Very central location, could walk down to Market, walked uptown to bank, walk Uptown to grocery store, and short cab trips or Shuttle trips to excursions. 7. Transat representatives were not clear on Excursion cost. I'm not sure if this was a communication barrier, or not all information was divulged prior to paying in full. With sign up and pay for the Excursion. And then was told had to pay for a cab anything over three people, and other fees such as porting and ecetera. it was explained to us when we went to the Royal swim with the dolphins and the zip lining and water slides that we would have free food and beverages. This was not the case. Only adults received coupons for free food and beverage, as children under 12 were free, lucky we had money on us to buy food and beverages. In addition we are also lucky we had money on us because we were told we could have the cab ride home for free because we paid the first one going there but this was not the case they would only take three people and then they'd have to give us another taxi in which we had to pay. 8. The shows were Grande, always something new entertainment kept you on the edge of your seat had you got laughing. 9. Very well cultured Gardens and area well-groomed and clean grounds. 10. Overall I would provide the stay a 7 out of 10
