El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice Relaxing vacation (by choice)

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. We stayed on the adult only side. We wanted a quiet, relaxing vacation and for the most part, that is what we got. Our room overlooked the El Beso activity pool and it was very loud from 10 am to 5:30 pm, every day. Some of the "music" was very degrading to women and filled with swearing and disgusting lyrics. I know we all have different tastes in music, but if you want a quieter stay or enjoy an afternoon nap, ask for your room to be beside the quiet  [... read more]pool, not the activity pool. The quiet pool was just that, quiet. We spent most of our time on the beach down by the lagoon. It was beautiful to take our floaties and just float in the lagoon. Unfortunately, the El Beso, Adults Only signs were too small and lots of people brought their kids over there, as the main beach was quite rough. The Lagoon is not on the property so anyone can go there, the issue was they took the chairs from the El Beso privilege area over to the lagoon or they just sat in the adults only area with their kids, leaving less room for those of us who paid for adults only. No one from the resort cared or did anything to stop people from taking the loungers over to the lagoon or from having their kids in the adults only area. The food was ok. We certainly didn't starve but everything was overcooked. Our dinner in the steakhouse was sub par. The steak and the ribs were way overcooked and tough. We felt rushed through our meal, even though the place was over half empty. We enjoyed dinner at The Blue Moon. It was delicious and we had excellent service. there from Neomi. Sakura was tasty, but the rice was undercooked and all the meats were overcooked. We ate breakfast and lunch at Pez Dama (El Beso Adults only) almost exclusively. Clemencia greeted us by name every day and seated us at our favourite table. Miguel, Isaac, Ricardo and Melvyn were very pleasant every day. They were great and took good care of us. We also had a few evening meals there and they were very good. Dinner in the lighthouse was also very good. We enjoyed the piano bar and the lobby bar. There was usually some entertainment there every evening. And we loved Yuli, the lobby bar supervisor. She was so kind and lovely. Yudelka and Yobildania make sure we had a drink when we wanted one. Most of the staff were friendly, but some were definitely not, and would do anything rather than serve you. Mikes coffee bar was excellent. Those folks work very hard all day as there is always a line up there. Nice place to have an afternoon pick me up. Overall it was nice. Biggest complaints were that they allowed smoking in outdoor dining areas. We love to eat outdoors, but not when people are smoking. There should be designated smoking areas around the resort, away from the eating areas. The other complaint was the wine. There was one red, one white and one rose unless you wanted to pay for a bottle, even for privilege guests. The red wine was no better than grape juice. We would go back.

Ocean Eden Bay: Overall Great Vacation

The resort was in a beautiful location. It was about a 40 minute drive from the airport. Food was really good, mostly buffets but some fancier table-service options for dinner. Open bars at the pool and near the beach. Not a ton of area to swim at the beach and water was quite shallow. However, the pool was a fair size and clean. Rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated.

Ocean El Faro: Frequent washroom runs

The grounds were great, the beach rocky and secluded and the entertainment ok. However the biggest issue we had was diarrhea. We had constant runs to the bathroom. We witnessed staff cleaning cups with water alone, no soap. Would not recommend it to others.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT

THE RESORT IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOTS O OFFER. I HAVE BEEN IN THIS RESORT 3 YEARS AGO AND ENJOYED EVERY MOMENT. UNFORTUNATELY, ITS COMPLETELY CHANGED. TO RESERVE A SPOT IN ONE OF THE RESTAURANTS, YOU HAVE TO BE IN LINE AND WAKE UP AT 7AM AND STILL, SOMETIMES WE DID NOT SUCCEED IN RESERVING A SPOT. (THE RESTAURANTS IN THE EVENING ARE HALF EMPTY BUT THEY WILL NOT LET YOU IN IF YOU DID NOT BOOK IT IN THE MORNING) WAITING TIME TO GET A CREPE OR A COFFEE COULD BE UP TO AN HOUR. THE KIDS CLUB TEAM ARE NOT [... read more] AS ACTIVE AS THEY WERE. TIME WAS WASTED ON WAITING . ALSO, THE WATER IN THE POOL WAS SO COLD. I EXPECT THEM TO WARM IT UP A BIT WHEN YOU PAY $10000 ON 7 DAYS VACATION I WILL NEVER COME BACK

Ocean Coral Spring: Relaxing and Worth it

I was sceptical of the resort based on some reviews regarding the resort showing its age, but it really is a fantastic resort.Some tiles cracked and the grout needs repair, but that had no impact on how much we enjoyed our trip. The food was great and plentiful. I would have liked my fruit and vegetable options, but I think that is just a sign of the times with inflation and likely the case at many resorts now. The decor is absolutely stunning. The pools are great for young kids. We travelled with our 19 month old and she had a blast. I was also 7 months pregnant and never felt that it was a chore to walk places - it’s the perfect sized resort. The beach is rocky, but bring shoes and you’ll be fine. Our only complaint is that it is far from the airport (an hour without stops). On our way there, Sunwing was very poorly organized and it took over 2 hours to get to the hotel with stops. They provided no water and no food was available at the airport so it was a long day without anything to eat.

Ocean Maya Royale: Amazing Vacation

This resort checked all the boxes for me. It was only about 40 min from Cancun Airport which was great….no long transfer! The staff were beyond amazing! It was clean but a little dated. Food was delicious! Beach & pool were only steps apart! Grounds were immaculate!

Ocean El Faro: Amazing Resort is right.

We visited the resort Dec. 15-22/23 and we had a wonderful time and we would go back in a heart beat, the pools and lazy river were very clean and the water temp was just right. the grounds, public washrooms were also very clean, great job. the food and service at the buffet was outstanding and also the a la carte restaurant, so good. i cant say anything wrong with the resort and we will return our next trip.

Ocean El Faro: Loved every minute

This resort was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. We loved the pools and entertainment crew. The bowling alley was so much fun. I would suggest more pool tables please. The casino is unnecessary in my opinion. I loved the a la carte dinners.

Ocean El Faro: Great Resort

We stayed 7 days at the Ocean EL Faro which is a great resort. I don't consider this hotel to be a 5 star, 4 stars for sure. Our stay was enjoyable, comfortable and very relaxing. At first I thought the resort was going to be huge, but its not. We stayed in building 9 and to get to the lobby it was a 5-8 minute walk. Our favorite spot was Mike's coffee, every morning we had a nice latte, the staff are very hard working but sometimes its very slow. The food was tasty at the buffet, there's always something for everyone, there's a variety of different items that you can have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We aren't picky eaters. The a la carte restaurants are great, we did all of them except for Blue Moon.....didn't want to wear pants. I think our favorite was the SteakHouse, Margarita and Sakura. At times it was difficult to make reservations, as we wanted an early dinner and they book up fast. You have to be on right at 8am and be quick about it booking your dinner. The app worked great the whole time we were there except for one dinner......I wasn't able to bring the menu up when ordering so they provided a paper menu, a few minutes later it was working again. We stayed by the pool most days, as the kids enjoyed it. The beach is nice but the waves were big the whole week, its also very rocky, great for exploring with the kids and finding fossils. They ended up brings some fossils home. If you have a family, this a great safe place to visit.

Ocean El Faro: Only for families with children

Although this is a beautiful resort and well taken care of, we found that it was mostly meant for people with small children and people that wanted to pay to be privileged. We felt if we ask questions we were bothering them the only staff that seem to want to help the male staff. They were very pleasant and never said no to anything that was asked the cleaning staff was also very helpful and made sure you had everything you needed.. Food was OK. It was the same thing all the time and always make sure to get the food from the back because the chaos that went on in the buffet with children running around and even adults grabbing food, taste testing and putting it back on the plates Was disgusting !!!!! We observe this many times through our weekday had to have food removed many times because of it and this is what we mean when we say it was chaos people pushing people, shoving nobody had manners Overall, I would not return with me and my husband, but if I was to bring my grandson along, this would be the resort for him. Everyone makes their own judgements on a resort. This one is definitely a resort.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort but needs some tweaking

Hotels grounds are kept clean and trim. 8/10 Layout of the hotel is very easy to maneuver. 8/10 Food in the restaurants is good but could be better, 6/10 Beach is awful, lounge chairs all need replacing. 1/10 Lobby is stunning. 10/10 Privilege checkin and checkout should have separate desks for adults only 5/10 Rooms were very nice 8/10 Staff is where improvement is needed. Many lazy and bad attitudes. 5/10

Ocean Eden Bay: Amazing & accommodating hotel

My sister has severe food limitations and the resort was amazing. The chefs checked with her at each restaurant even at the buffet the chef took her around to point out safe foods. The staff was great and the beach was fantastic. My third time to Ocean Eden Bay and it didn’t disappoint.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great resort - horrible beach water

The Ocean Coral and Turquesa is a very nicely laid out resort, with 4 pools (1 Adult only, 2 general pools and a children's pool) The El Beso (adult only) room was recently renovated, and well appointed, with a shower, bathtub and private toilet area. spacious room with a couch and desk area. Lots of plug-ins and USB connections for those electronics in our lives! Of the 6 restaurants, 3 required reservations (all done through the Ocean Coral app) and provide a great selection of choices. Ja [... read more]panese grill; Italian; Mexican; Brazilian skewers; Romantic Dining and a burger shop. The Villa Marina (Brazilian) was being renovated for most of our trip, but it opened in time for us to enjoy. The buffet offered numerous choices daily, with vegetarian, gluten free meals available. And their dessert section was delicious! The only complaint we and many others had, was the color of the ocean water at the beach. Not sure if this is an ocean current situation along that coastline, but the water was brown for 1/2KM from the shore. The amount of sargassum washing up daily was cleaned as best they could. Overall, a great 2 weeks (Nov 24 - Dec 8) relaxing at this resort, great options for day beds, pool chairs, and beach palapas/chairs, never an issue finding a place to sit. Walking the beach into Puerto Morelos takes approx. 1 hour, and lots to see along the way.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Extensive Resort

Ocean Riviera Paradise has something for everyone. Many restaurant, bar, pool and entertainment choices. Staff are noticeably friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely arranged. Beach section isnt very big but the beach restaurant is excellent and there is a beach pool that is good for families. Not a lot I can offer up for improvement as we were well served throughout the week there. Only real area for improvement is the company Air Canada Vacations uses to prov [... read more]ide the transfer service to & from the resort. Be prepared for 1.5 to 2 hours after boarding bus before you actually arrive at Resort. They were half an hour late for pickup on return to airport but still in plenty of time at Cancun airport.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

This is a lovely resort that caters to all ages . The food is superior. Westjet needs to get more organized with airport transfer to the resort. We were 24 km from the resort and it took 2.5 hrs of travel to get us there. Ridiculous.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very relaxing vacation. Superb

Liked; Mikes Coffee …wonderful decor and attention to detail by its staffing and quality of coffees and pastries superb. Ice cream hut and popcorn machine during evenings Route 99(brisket and chicken wings and salad), Italian, Mexican and Hibachi Sensai restaurants wonderful. Did not try French. international night at buffet.. very nice cheeses and great choices at buffet made it a great dinner. Pools very clean lunch down at beach very extensive. Piano bar enclosure too close to main lobby entertainment bar. They should consider swapping the priveledge club room and piano bar with the reception to alleviate this issue. Need to have more consistency throughout resort when it comes to knowing how much alcohol to mix in drinks. Many tenders lack even basic skills…. Example. Black Russian is not half and half. Spanish coffee is not americano. LOL Lots more to say but above will probably keep me coming back.

Ocean Blue and Sand: True to It's Name OCEAN BLUE

Loved this hotel as it ticked all the boxes. Lovely beach, awesome Mike's coffee shop. Icecream parlour, nice rooms, well kept grounds, friendly staff , great entertainment group and delicious food with a wide variety.

Ocean Eden Bay: Disappointed!!!

This is the 4th time travelling to Jamaica, this time we travelled with a group of 21 people. I have never been so disappointed with a resort before, every-time you go to the bar, you feel like you’re bothering the bartender to give you a drink, the food is okay not much variety, did not see any of the fruits Jamaica is known for, the bars are always running out of cups and straws, there are no servers walking around the pool or beach to ask of you need a drink. There are about 4 or 5 couples  [... read more]from our group that got their money stolen, and are still trying to get resolution from this hotelI would not recommend this hotel to anyone, find another hotel to stay at.

Ocean Maya Royale: Amazing resort !

The resort is not big and it’s right on the beach . The grounds are beautiful. Hotel rooms are nice and very clean . Service everywhere is excellent. Overall I’m very happy with my stay there . But there is 3 things I have noticed -would like more Mexican music playing -more chairs on the beach and pool area - mirror in the room . The only mirror is in the bathroom

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very nice

Our family of 13 recently travelled to Ocean Blend Sand resort. Everything was exceptional. Excellent service, friendly staff and beautiful grounds. Pools were amazing and the beach divine! Music, shows and lobby bar was fun. Definately a place to visit! Thankyou!!!
