Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Christmas Experience

I must say when we first got to the resort we were pretty unhappy with the food and our room. The room we had was right beside the shared balcony, and our sliding door lock was broken. However we got our room changed, and the food was way better the next day. Yes cuba food is cuba food, but normally we don't have issues with that as we can always find something. My eyes just about popped out of my head with amazement! The shows were fantastic, and the Christmas events they put on for the children was amazing! I love the Cuban culture with their children. So very nice! I thoroughly enjoyed the events. We also noticed they were roasting a pig and turkey outside so we went over to investigate. The guys there were hand turning them for 6 hours! That is crazy, and it was very tasty. It is a very windy area, and because of that there were many people wind surfing, which was fun to watch. We normally snorkel alot, but this time of year the water isn't very warm. So we only got in the ocean once. We were told this area isn't great for snorkeling! Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: The resort is ok

The resort was nice but the food was terrible. The snack bar only had ham and sausage every day. The only other option in my 14 days stay was bacon on the last day. The food in buffet and a la carte was terrible. At the a la carte we found a fly in the cake and another table found a fly in the ice cream on another day. Stay away from this resort.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great value

Ocean was not aqua blue, buffet was edible but not top quality, rooms are very clean, use the blow dryer to dry your sheets because it’s damp! Service was great, nice gym, peaceful place. Eat right at 6PM when the buffet opens.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Outstanding Resort. Beautiful ambiance and beach.

Our stay at the Iberostar Waves was amazing. The resort is vast and surrounding by lush mangroves that attract birds and hear their chirping. Our room was fabulous close to the beach and could hear the sound of the waves from the room. The staff and services are great. The only drawback was the entertainment. The hotel needs to raise the bar on entertainment. The hotel has many restaurants and offers an international cuisine vegan and gluten friendly options. There were a few East Indian  [... read more]families and it would be nice if indian food was added to the menu. It is an eco friendly and paperless resort therefore you have to rely on concierge to assist with figuring out the services and navigating the resort. Overall we had a great experience.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: 5th time to Mexico and by far the best

Just came back from a pre-Christmas Mexico trip that will be hard to top. The resort was fantastic, the food was excellent, the weather and beach was great. The key item though was the attention paid by the staff. There were initially a couple of issues with the room which were addressed but we were still in two separate non-adjoined rooms. Maria at the front desk kept track, and followed up the next day by offering much larger adjoining rooms for a small upgrade cost. This allowed the who [... read more]le family to be together and also have separate spaces critical with 3 teenagers for the best experience. I have been to many good resorts over the years but Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach was by far the best because of the quality of the resort but much more because of the quality of the service.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Fun and relaxing

Great food and pools. Beach was very crowded but enjoyable. Restaurants were easy to get a table at. Quality of food at buffet and restaurants was very good. Location was a bit isolated, though everything you need was more or less there.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Nice resort

It has all you need to enjoy a calm and quiet vacation. It is a nice resort, the common areas are very well maintained. We had great time at the swimming pool, the beach is very pretty, but definitely the people made the difference. The employees at the resort are very friendly and try really hard to please the tourist. The rooms are big and comfortable (humidity was high so there was a wet odour). We really like Iberostar Bella Vista Cuba Friendly staff Great location on, great beach location, food, service. We enjoyed our two weeks vacation I and my friends planning to go back for another vacation

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Resort was great, well maintained as to be expected

Everything was maintained very well. Good food and the a la carte restaurants were very good good. Ocean was rough a few days but nothing the resort could do about that.overall highly recommend to anyone

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Unforgettable vacation

We stay in Iberostar Selection Esmeralda for a week in December and have a great time. The hotel is new, has modern rooms and well maintained ground. The beach is beautiful with white sand. The food is good and tasty for Cuba, pizza is excellent. The resort provides professional show everyday. The staff is friendly. Special thanks to Adriel who helped us with better accommodation. We will return to this resort again.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: 2nd Stay in 2 years

Beautiful Resort. We had a postcard view of the hotel and the ocean. Staff was awesome. Hotel was pretty quiet being low season, which was nice. There was some maintenance work going on, but did not take away from the stay. Glad to see they were putting an effort into maintenance. One entire block of buildings and a secondary pool undergoing refurb.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Excellent Vacation at Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada

Stayed for 15 days at this resort December 1-16. We have been here around 12 times since 2018. The Oceanview room is very nice if in building 1 but building 5 is located beside condos being built and is quite noisy. Our a/c broke in our original room in building 5 and they moved us to another room in building 1. It was wonderful to have a quiet room. Food is quite good and they theme the nights so it isn’t totally the same thing each night. Domingo is the server we have had since we started comi [... read more]ng to the resort and he is amazing. Manuel is a customer service representative and he too is wonderful and so helpful. Only complaint we have is the bar staff in the lobby bar are not very good. If you tip them good then they serve you as soon as they see you and everyone else can try to get served if you’re lucky. Thus unfortunately has been going on since we first vacationed at this resort. This definitely needs to be improved! The beach was quite dirty with areas of garbage this year more so than any other time we have been there. Likely it is garbage being washed ashore but considering tourism is their main source of revenue, it would be beneficial if they could take care of this. Perhaps it is because of the many storms that washed garbage into the ocean but the aftermath needs to be taken care of for health reasons. All in all we had a great vacation and are already planning our return in February 2025!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

Iberostar Waves was a beautiful resort. The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were newly renovated with fresh calming colours. They were in the middle of sanding the doors and painting them. The food was amazing. They had such a variety of food for everyone to enjoy. The resort is environmentally friendly. There was no garbage, plastic bottles to be seen. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing get away

My brother and I had the great pleasure of a week at Iberostar Laguna Azul. The staff was amazing and the beaches were world class I cant aay as much for late as always sunwing. We upgraded our seats for more room and we ending up on a Czech aircraft that was smaller so not worth the upgrade If only Canada could provide better air service to the resorts

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Nice resort...but not for me anymore

This is our 4th time back to this resort. In many ways it has improved....still has beautiful grounds , very very eco friendly, clean rooms and good food. Where it has gone down ( in my opinion) is the entertainment. Pool side activities are just ok....staff use to be so much fun and interactive. We love the water aerobics but when it came time , we had to actually find the staff to see if it was going to happen...the guy who ended up running it looked like he didn't want to be there...gru [... read more]mpy. And note to staff...aqua zumba is not aqua aerobics. Also missing is the Mall. It's still there , but all the artisan shops have been replaced with food joints and expensive boutiques. Very disappointing. Might return one day , but not likely. Lovely place , but not for me anymore.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Good value for cost.

The hotel is in good condition, our room was great, clean, no issues. The grounds are very nice, lots of paths through the jungle which is very different than other resorts we have been too. Well lit at night. The resort is stretched out and will require a lot of walking. I had blisters after the second day! There is a cart and wagon that runs every 10 minutes. The food and drinks were good, not the best that we have had. We really like Iberostar, employees were very nice. Beach was nice [... read more], no issues getting a lounger. One issue at the beach is the overwhelming number of Coati’s. they stole a burger right out of my hand while trying to eat at the beach. We watched them go through beach bags, tip over drinks,etc. the Cancun airport is massive and the Air Canada included transfer service was very disorganized. It took over an hour to figure out which van to get in, they seemed to be overwhelmed. Overall, it was fine but we like the Iberostar in Peurto Plata much better and we will probably stick to that.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: This was our 5th time at this resort and there will be more. Great resort

All was great. The food, the entertainment the room, the beach, the pools and the service. Book this resort and you won't be disappointed. ,,............... ..... .................................

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Don’t Expect Too Much

The staff is nice but the hotel is suffering from the current reality in Cuba. Shortage of food, water, and power. Some elevators are not working. Rooms are old and bed sheets are smelly. Restaurants in the hotel do not have good food. Internet kept disconnected for days; poor signal. Do not go without cash for tips and there are no credit card machines available. The beach is perfect!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Not great

Food was awful compared to other hotels in this area.one area of the beach was still under construction. Not enough entertainment. Service, here compared with previous years was a lot worse. No phones this time in the rooms. Shower stall still leaks out onto the floor. No wash cloths. Outside walkway was not lit up on one night

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort

We stayed at Paraiso Lindo hotel a the beginning of December 2024. The room was good, clean and was cleaned every day in a proper way. I could appreciate the food. It was at the next level. All 7 days I enjoyed fish and seafood excellent cooked. And sweets and fruits and everything. 10 out of 10. What was under my expectations was the night entertainment. Almost nothing. And considering you don't have much to do around that's a minus
