Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Lovely site

Loved the site, the staff was very good and I appreciate their effectiveness and most of all the smiles they were wearing while making our stay a time to remember. Couple of minor issues, the fridges in the room are trapped in a unventilated cupboard and it trapps the heat inside making the units ineffective (warm beer). The pool could be a bit warmer

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Fabulous Time- Secrets gave it all!

Clean lines take the advantage of the view- every where the ocean! The staff are attentive and courteous- they offered smiles for free! Will stay with Secrets again! Los Cabos has sunshine at least 99% of our stay. Evenings can bring a slight chill but patio heaters are available.

The hotel is just ok we upgraded and didn't really get what we were supposed to get. So don't pay for it as you won't get what you are told you will. (ie) the rooms were not refilled we waited for coffee pods to be filled the coffee cups were not cleaned the fridge wasn't refilled daily. This was to be done daily. The food was ok but not amazing if you didn't order a bottle of wine and pay for it the server didn't really serve you like they were supposed to. We caught a tuna fishing one day and  [... read more]they were going to charge us 18 bucks per person for the chef to cook it for you. It was already cleaned and cut all he had to do was put it on the grill. WE asked for it to be seared and it was well done omg what a disappointment you would think that the Seafood chef would know how to cook a tuna and what seared meant. I would recommend this place but don't pay for the upgrade not worth it and be sure you are clear with the servers you get. This is all inclusive and they get you in all ways trying to get you to pay extra. The servers and the customer service was not the same they tell you one thing and then they tell you another thing the next day. Nicole was great at trip central.

Secrets Huatulco: Great Resort

The resort grounds are manicured and very well maintained . All the restaurants are excellent and do not require reservations. We have stayed at this resort 6 times and will be back for our 7th. Amazing Staff

Secrets St James: ''LOVELY RESORT''

This resort has pretty well all the amenities you would want...but no Buffet at night which forced you to go to 6 ethnic restaurants AND WAIT TO GET IN.This was a first for us as we have been to many, many resorts. Italian 1 night, French 5 nights, Jap 2 nights. We don't like Mexican, Jamaican Andrea had a bad fall walking over a small wooden bridge ....like an escalator the bottom piece broke apart as it was rotting....''accident to happen.'' Scraped her left knee badly , slight sprained rig [... read more]ht ankle, and bruise right knee and right toe cut.. At 74 it was a shock to Andrea. We helped her up and then went to see Nurse. Nurse was good ( independent of Resort ). Staff member came, to take pictures, said she would get back...45 minutes staff PHONED Nurse to tell us that they were not obligated for any accidents. Secrets 'PHONED US ???? That was their response ?? Long story short, we could not get the top man Hotel Manager..given the run around. Went to lunch buffet...had talk with buffet staff member....then she said' the Hotel Manager was in the buffet line with his wife. 'WELL, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.' His name is FRANCESCO. Been there 4 months, travels every 2 years to other Secrets. Really a good talker but no responsibility taken for the money we spent. Secret's very disrespectful and own up to nothing. Called him over, had him talk with Andrea and I over lunch. Security cameras showed Andrea's fall....still no response except 'sorry will look into it.' Nice listener, friendly, gave us two wicker bags to take home ?? Also, we had $5.00 stolen from our room as Andrea leaves $5.00 for the maid everyday. The drawer below the locked safe was open, the room was not done etc. No one claimed responsibility...security was informed, notes taken and we have heard absolutely nothing. Andrea was very lucky that no bones were broken or Skull fractured. She was in pain for the last 3 days and I had to arm her when walking....very sad holiday. Nice resort but indifferent to it's visitors with problems . Lobby staff gave us run around from one staffer to another....then we see him at lunch ??? What luck that I had been talking to the buffet cook and he was pointed out to me.Otherwise who knows ? Spoiled trip for Andrea and I ....they showed lack of sincere concern and responsibility. Unbelievable pretense. Won't go back. Dennis and Andrea.

Secrets Huatulco: Amazing resort fantastic beach!

The resort and it's amenities are 1st class all the way. A'la carte restaurants are wonderful but the dinner buffet is not very good. Breakfast buffet is perfect and the hours of operation are very accommodating to all guests.Rooms are very spacious grounds and buildings are kept impeccably clean and gorgeous plantings surround the property. On a personal note, my wife had a terrible accident on the grounds during our visit that ended in her breaking her ankle. She stepped in a hole in the g [... read more]rass that had grown over and was undetectable to sight that resulted in her injury. When reported to the resort concierge, they responded with a very lack lustre response. They showed little to no empathy towards her injury and told us if she requires medical support we were responsible for the cost. I found this very odd as to the injury was a result of the resorts negligence of maintaining the grounds in a safe condition or visibly identifying the hazard as to avoiding an injury. When the doctor examined my wife he was very professional and quickly tended to her pain and prescribed medicine to aleve her pain. I was very surprised we were never offered any compensation as result of the resorts negligence and no representative from resort management contacted us, very odd in my understanding. In closing I am moving forward to investigate some kind of future compensation from the resort or Sunwing because the resort upon our departing had still not done any action to restore or correct the hazard. Tread carefully in the future is the lesson we are taking away from this experience.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: FABULOUS REORT! now we know what the secret is to secrets!

We loved our stay at Silversands resort! this was our first time at a secrets but it definatly will not be our last! we found the staff to be very helpful and easy to communicate with. The pool area was never over crowded and was so clean ! we absolutely loved the no reservations at the restaurants and the food was great..especially the dinner selections....the Italian was by far the best ! room service was great and we loved the cupboards by door to put the dirty dishes in..never had to stumbl [... read more]e over dishes left in hallways! beds were extremly comfortable and the rooms and balconies were huge! we really reconnected as couple and it was really a great vibe at the resort! looking forward to booking another secrets stay in the future ! cheers to our travel agent Sue Snider for recommending the secret !!

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Abosolutely Fabulous!

This resort was fabulous from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. It is very well maintained right down to the gardens, pool, walk ways etc. The room was beautiful and kept very clean at all times. The dining was excellent with many choices on where and what to eat. The staff were top notch and accommodating in every aspect. I would return to this resort in a heart beat and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing get away. We totally enjoyed ourselves!

Secrets Huatulco: Fantastic Stay

Went from Feb 3-10. The resort is beautiful top to bottom and the beach is spectacular. The restaurants were all fantastic, one caution I would pass along is that all the restaurants offer multiple courses which I would suggest making use of as portions are on the smaller side, with the exception of Castaways which serves up massive steaks. Yes,  [... read more]if you can't swim then this isn't for you, but the waves added to the enjoyment for us! My only issue would be the beach chair situation as it can be a struggle at times to find a spot (pool or ocean) as there are plenty of aholes who throw towels down at 6am only to sit in them for 10 minutes a day several hours later. The staff will keep an eye out and move belongings/towels that have sat idle for an extended period of time but you kind of have to ask them to find you a spot before they're willing to go to that length, which I can appreciate as it's a bit of an awkward situation for them, but that is the hotel policy. It would just be a whole lot easier if they simply had an extra stack of loungers. One other recommendation would be to avoid rooms close to the 'center' / lobby, as you can hear the nightly Sky Bar entertainment crystal clear, it does shutdown between 11-1130pm, and although most nights we were out there enjoying it, there were two occasions where we had early mornings and wanted to get to sleep before then but couldn't.

Secrets Huatulco: Awesome Vacation

We went as a group of 9 family members of varying ages and interests and everyone loved the resort. The quaity of the food, drinks and service was more than any of us had ever experienced at other all inclusive resorts.

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets Huatulco is Amazing

The setting is amazingly beautiful. The staff and people of Huatulco were extremely friendly, polite, efficient and hard working. The weather can’t be beat anywhere in the Caribbean and we have visited almost all of the major islands. The food was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the restaurants. Loved that ,most were a la carte. Loved the adults only, loved the no dinner reservations required. Loved no bracelets, loved the free water spots, loved the free room servi [... read more]ce, loved premium brand alcohol, loved free resort wide wi fi, rooms were great size, great balconies and wide opening to balconies. As many reviews indicate, the preferred club should offer some additional amenities but definitely wouldn’t deter us from going. Gym was adequate and spa great, but a little pricey The only recommendation I would have would be to implement towel cards, sorry, yes towel cards, for two reasons, firstly to prevent chair hoarding. The resort staff do their best to monitor but it is extremely difficult to control. Secondly for environmental reasons, their unnecessary laundry should significantly decrease. Another eco friendly option would be to have water coolers in public areas to refill water bottles. It’s hot and lots of water is required. This was our second trip to Huatulco, first to Secrets. We, a group of 9, would highly recommend Secrets and Huatulco. Thanks to Candace at Trip Central for making it happen smoothly.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort

The food, grounds, staff and entertainment exceeded my expectations. The swim-out was great after a full day of activities for a cool dip on your own pool. Highly recommended if your looking for a piece of paradise.

Secrets Huatulco: Very friendly resort!

The hotel lobby is showing its age! The staff where very friendly and good was very good! Views from the hotel where amazing! A little too far out of town but cabs a reasonable! Not enough pool chairs and umbrella's unless your up at 6:00 to save a chair :( We did enjoy our stay!

Secrets Huatulco: Won’t go again

We felt the resort was okay, but the food was mediocre at best. The resort did a poor job of giving us much detail on where things were located and worst of all we were badgered beyond belief to attend their “time share” crap.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort awesome staff

The resort is beautiful and the beach was awesome. The staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was great. I would highly recommend it. The best food was at the sea food restaurant and the pool side “Bear foot bistro” was awesome for lunch.

Secrets Papagayo Resort: Trip

Resort was small and quiet. Not a lot to do on the grounds but super relaxing! We all ended up with a stomach bug ;( the restaurants weren’t anything special but the market buffet was GREAT!! We’ve stayed on another resort a few years ago and liked it much better ;(

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Incredible beach! Resort area is beautiful!

The food was less than adequate in all the restaurants. The best meals we had were at the buffet. The beds were very hard and made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The service was excellent in all areas with the exception of the Japanese restaurant where the server literally rushed us out the door. The beach area was amazing and the resort grounds were beautiful and kept very clean.

Secrets Huatulco: Great resort

We have done plenty of travel and as far as All Inclusives go this resort is great. Travelled Jan. 22 - 29, 2019. Pros; Weather stays the same 30- 34 degrees Celsius and sunny with a light breeze. Snorkel right from your own beach with a reef and all kinds of sea-life. Food was very good for an all inclusive. House wine was decent red and white. Service was friendly and done with a smile 95% of the time. Stayed in room 4316 which had an amazing view and is on the top floor of the mid lev [... read more]el building on the right side of the complex if you are looking at it from the ocean or beach. Our room was great as was the maid service. Room service was handy and decent. Preferred club gets a few perks - a la carte breakfast and lunch at Castaways and some premium drinks and snacks and in a subtle way they give you some preferential treatment without having to wear coloured wristbands. The crowd is mostly 40 plus so it isn't full of cussing and yelling spring breakers. We hired a local boat tour right on the beach and they took us on the tour right from the beach the next day. Jose L. Santiago at Calamardo Fishing and Tours is wonderful and provided us an unforgettable experience. Cons; The seating in the lounging areas are sparse and most have no backrest so not great for an older client base. Our in room air conditioner made some strange noises that woke you up often and they were unable to fix it. The mini fridge keeps drinks cool but not cold. To get ice in your room you had to call room service and it takes a half hour to arrive or doesn't arrive. The beach sand is very course and extremely hot - water shoes are very helpful. Avoid the condo and membership upsells as they will try to take up your time. Overall I think this was the best value I have received at a resort.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

Food and service was excellent, grounds were beautiful, bathrooms were particularly well done. The few things that could be improved upon have to do with the rooms and are as follows: flashing light on ceilings and walls for smoke detector should not be placed right above the bed, we could hear the people above us walking around so rooms not soundproofed very well, marble floors are beautiful but not practical for someone in a swim up room, they are super slippery for wet feet. Secrets Playa Mujeres: Would not go back ! I would not recommend this place

I really thought fir a month should I write a review or just leave it alone ! Then I thought I would be doing the next person a public disservice! So I am suggesting you move on please do not waste your money on this place , and this is current Jan 2019 , it would have to be the worst resort I have ever been and the most expensive! Which really does not make sense .
