Amazing

Everything was really amazing, I would have like to be treated equally because I'm black they all assume we're Jamaica so the didn't give us much of their time like the were treating the other guests 😂But That was only in the buffet restaurant. But we had fun

Okay resort

It’s a very big hotel. The food is good if you decide to eat at their different restaurants. However, if you like the buffet, after a few days you get tired of the food because of the repetition of the same foods. This hotel need to work closely with their housekeepers staffs. Because every day we had to asked for rags. The whole time we stayed there, not once were we giving two towels. Not acceptable. We really don’t mind tipping, but we experienced the importance of tipping.  [... read more]If you tip you get good service. If you don’t, you see their disappointment. To us, if felt a little too pressured. And it doesn’t help the vacation feeling. Lastly, the bus needs to make a bathroom stop since there isn’t any onboard. Thanks.

Everything i needed

Great place, the room we stayed in was great! We had an amazing view. Staff were friendly but sometime I felt like I was in their way or a bother. Could be just the laid back culture. I dunno. And food was good enough. Was hoping for more jerk chicken. Definitely recommend!

Amazing resort!

I connot find anything negative about this place. We had a great time and the staf members were very welcoming. Very obliging! We create beautiful memories. The room were very clean and we had a safe in our room.

Good resort but bad management and bad customer service

Not what I expected ,bad management and rude employee but had problem booking the a la carte dinners , we got there Sunday Jan 28 so we went the next day at 11am to book the a la carte then the employee at the Golden lobby was rude and only booked one dinner feb3 and told us the rest of the week no availability , after complaining to the manager , she offered us another dinner at the French restaurant Tuesday and that’s it , the bus to transfer the tourist have no seat belts and they won†[... read more]™t care to make sure atleast the kids sitting in safe seat . People at the were doing braid and selling stuff and my 5 years old daughter want braid so I got one of the girls that working on the beach to do it for her and then the girl kept asking my daughter to be in the water and the waves hitting her and the security guard kept coming and ask her to be in the water meanwhile another woman that was doing same thing was standing joking and talking with the security guard and then her customer was allowed to stand on the beach so I asked , why you in the water and the other woman standing at the beach , does she work for the resort , she said no we all the same but I’m not making enough money to give the security guard a cut at the end of the day , this is cruel and unsafe for tourist . No wifi at all not even at the lobby , they pretend to do some share happiness and they were telling everyone free WiFi then they Asked me to log to Facebook so I did the girl went to their page and gave the resort 5 stars and sure enough 30 min and no more WiFi This resort is nice but too bad , bad management and bad customer service so no I won’t recommend it to anyone .

Nice Resort

The resort was beautiful and we always felt safe. Staff were friendly with the exception of a couple of people at the front desk when we requested a room change. We were a group of 4 on a girls trip. 2 rooms were booked and they placed us in separate building despite our request at checkin. We also requested each room to have 2 beds and one of the rooms only had 1 bed. There excuse was it’s only a request and there are no guarantees. Other then that beautiful resort and incredibly clean.

A nice place to visit

I liked it. It was small enough you would never loose anyone, yet large enough to enjoy yourself. Pools were good , the beach was rocky in places but still good. I would stay again. It is very close to Dunns River Falls, the best place to visit.

Beautiful place!

Beautiful grounds ,beautiful view ,nice clean large rooms ,nice restaurants, friendly staff ,nice pool. Beach and view were pretty, but beach on natural side is nicer and bigger but a distance to walk, the jerk chicken outside at the restaurant awesome.

Very nice place to stay

I found the resort very clean, the people exceptionally nice and helpful. The food was excellent. Fresh and a great selection. Rooms were spacious with most if not all a balcony with an ocean view. Would recommend.

9 fabulous days in Jamaica

Just returned from a awesome vacation at Gran Bahia Principe at Runaway Bay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt very safe day or night. Food was very good both at the buffets and the a la cart restaurants. A slight mix-up with our reservation was handled quickly. Promised turn-down service and robes and slippers were slow in appearing but were minor problems. The resort was cleaned constantly. All and all it was a fabulous vacation.

Incredible Resort

The hotel and grounds were beautiful and well kept. Staff was amazing, from bartenders, wait staff, housekeeping, and others. Food was amazing and covered a variety of menu items. The pool was incredible and kept clean at all times and the entertainment was some of the best I’ve seen, from the nightly shows on stage, to Local musical talent, to the poolside entertainment crew! Loved it all!

Amazing resort!!!

Great service. Friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned promptly. The food was fabulous. Can't wait to go back..😎 from arriving to leaving free of hassles. Great scenic route to hotel. Ac on the bus. The a LA caRte restaurant's are a must try.

Grand bahia principe

This was an excellent hotel and Resort. People were very kind and treated us excellent. The hotel was very well maintained and clean. I would pick another country next time due to want to different places. But I would book at the same resort.

Great experience!

Perfect size resort, not too big, not too small. You get familiar with where everything is if this is your first time visiting. When you meet new people it's not hard to find them. Staff is very friendly. Food is great. The whole resort is very clean and tidy... Will go back again.

food was great .staff very friendly and attentive.beaches awesome.Italian restaurant a must. only complaint i had was that i had to buy my own can beer because i can't drink draft beer for 10 days.Great stay

Terrible service

Not impressed with this hotel at all....my daughters birthday....we asked to have banner hung.......they told us they would.......was never done......no coffee or beer restock..... Limited towels.....rude clerks.....no have a nice fay when exiting breakfast...staff hanging on walls with hands behind backs.......one big dissappointment after another......terrible beach.

Not as good as before

Charged twice for wifi and not even considered for refund! Awful hospitality at the front lobby. Food was great, however the service at breakfast was horrible . my first time there last year was amazing.. This year...not so much. Bathrooms were philthy especially at the pool . maintenance was done during open hours at pool and beach. Never again.

5th time at the Grand Bahia Principe

Start out by saying that this is our 5th visit to this lovely place. A lot of changes but for the most part it's AMAZING. FOOD: Seemed to be a lot better than we remembered. The selections are always fresh, extremely flavourful, abundant and very well presented. The Don Pablo Buffet, Jazmin is a lot more quiet, less populated but probably far better than Orchedia, and Jazmin is Adults Only. The a la cartes were always popular and spectacular, most especially the Garden Grill where the Surf [... read more] and Turf dish was outstanding. Beautifully presented, excellent flavours complimenting one another and just enough to make you very satisfied without being stuffed POOLS / BEACH. Albeit the resort was full, there was never an issue finding loungers at the beach or pools, Again, the Don Pablo area, was a very relaxing, clean and tranquil rest. The activities allowed you to be as engaging as you wanted. The snorkelling is amazing out in the sea grasses by the ropes in the Sea. ROOMS: Quiet, comfortable and inviting. Pillows were a tad soft but are perfect for those who prefer that. There were six so we each had three which was sufficient. The TV remote needed fresh batteries and the toilet had an issue flushing, however once we mentioned these issues they were seen to and corrected incredibly quickly. Great customer service. STAFF: well not everything is perfect in a perfect world. The few Staff members who were above and beyond were first off, Gay-Ann at the Don Pablo pool bar, ( I hope I got her name right ), and Britney and Camaro, both our spectacular servers in Jazmin Buffet. I hope they stay there for a long time because they add to total customer satisfaction! However, that being said, MOST of the staff seemed to be bothered by any queries or requests. A lot as well would be hidden as soon as the tips stopped flowing. Sad to say but true. Other staff whose names we will not mention, and who we have got to admire over the last few years, were just plain RUDE. Again it seemed as we were troubling them. Too bad and not to worry, the few who stood out, put the other's service to shame. As well we wish to mention the spectacular entertainment shows. The Michael Jackson impersonation and His Crew were off the charts, along with Positive Vibrations Steel Drum Band. What great shows! We will be back for sure

Pretty area

Just an average service and facilities resort , location was perfect pool was very good and clean but not a good and clean beach ,food was perfect but bars were quite few no good alcoholic beverages, I recommend if you are a good quality drinker better take you drinks with you there.

Would not go back

We were not impressed with the resort nor what we were expecting. The food was OK and never changed and the beaches were not the greatest. The service was exceptionally poor except for our maid Nora and one or two services at the buffet that we made sure we had. The others were there only for the tips... would not go back nor would i recommend it to anyone else
