Another great week.

This is our 4th time here,wouldn't go anywhere else. The food at buffets and alacartes is exceptional, the wine is great,service is great. Beautiful big rooms,clean and a/c always works. The animation staff are great,always get people moving and dancing, they do some crazy fun things at pool. All in all the resort is best bang for your buck. We will definately be going back in coming years.

Thank-you to the entire staff for making my husbands and my experience to Punta Cana just fantastic at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue. Words alone cannot describe how great our experience from the initial booking with Trip Central staff and the hotel staff was. Everybody gave 110% service and this resort is our number one go to going forward. Management should be very proud for selecting superb staff with friendliness and outstanding manners. Foyers, washrooms, rooms, landscaping, pool areas were top notch and everybody at this resort should be so proud of themselves for making it such a success. We ate at different buffets every day and different restaurants throughout the week and everybody and everything was AMAZING. Thank-you. We had ten guests initially and we stayed a few extra days by ourselves at the end. Great job everybody! When guests complain on the language problems they were having they need to remember they're in the Dominican Republic and should be grateful that the locals show patience to us the foreigners. Thanks again for just being perfect.

Beautiful resort

Was beautiful,.would highly recommend this resort The pool and the rooms were decorated very nicely. The hotel staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The housekeeper was extremely friendly and always available. She did an amazing job with our upkeep of our room!!👌🏻

Awesome Trip

The hotel and trip easily exceeded our expectations! considering it was our first trip together, it couldn't have went smoother! Laura, our travel agent was a big help! Jamaica was awesome! the room view was amazing, it left us awe struck, we didn't expect to have a terrace!

Beautiful grounds and room

We were very pleased with the room and grounds at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green - this is the resort we were at - not the Ambar Blue. The room was really spacious and the bathroom was huge and always clean. The staff always left us lots of coffee and water - and once we had to point out the fridge wasn't replenished...we never had to ask again. The food was mediocre - it was almost impossible to get HOT food - everything was lukewarm - even straight from the kitchen. There was always  [... read more]a good selection of options to choose from. It was difficult to get slushy style drinks - strawberry daiquiris were impossible to get a good one. We had a hard time getting any staff that had a good grasp of the English language so there were barriers when trying to get drinks made and food. Even getting a glass of ice needed a translater. The majority of the staff was friendly and always happy to help if they could. The biggest plus about this place was the cleanliness of the grounds, rooms and common areas.

Great Vacation!

Let start by saying this is a BIG resort. Covers a lot of real estate with 4 different sections on the property. With that said getting around was not too difficult with trams running throughout the resort. The timings for these trams where not consistent in fact sometimes it was quicker to walk to the beach than wait for the tram. The food was very good at all the locations we visited however the a la carte's were a mix of buffet (salad and desert) and sit down dinners (main course) something [... read more] that we did not expect. The Ambar green area which we stayed in was very nice, ground well maintained and very clean. Big pool area with a good bar, they had entertainment most afternoons for this area. The beach area was very nice with lots of cots but you had to be early to get close to the beach. Located on the Bavaro beach, you can walk for KM in either direction which was very nice. The check in process was done very well however we did not get what we requested when we booked the vacation, 2nd floor looking over the pool. We got bottom floor at the end of the Ambar green. Although not happy with the location originally, it turned out to be central to the resort which made it easier to get around. The room was large and clean and certainly met our expectations. The only downside was that we arrived in La Romana vice Punta Cana. The upside no long lineups for customs, the downside was the extra 50 minute drive to the resort. Overall a great stay and we would return in the future.

Busy resort

Friendly service, a little slow, would go to ala cartes more. Buffets are the same but good . Very out going workers, very appreciative . For the price a 7 outta 10. Great entertainment too!!! Lovely beach, clean I found . Great pool side activities if your into that

Overall property very good

The grounds are always very well kept, staff is friendly, food excellent. Ambar Blue needs a refresh. Check out the new Fantasia section it's amazing, brand new, the lobby, the hotel, the restaurants, everything about this section is stunning. This was our 3rd trip to this resort, first in the Punta Cana Section, then Ambar Green, and our last trip Ambar Blue. Location of Blue is very good, but is much older. Had a ton of fun doing the aqua spin class and the surf yoga - both were excellent  [... read more]and are at Ambar Green pool. Don't miss it. We will return to try Fantasia next trip.

Amazingly huge yet intimate resort!

Loved that we could take advantage of entire property because we stayed on the luxury Ambar Green side! So unbelievably clean and beautiful everywhere. The A.G side was quiet and relaxing...and we loved the entertainment each night. Never had trouble finding loungers poolside or beach!

Beau et grand

Très beau resort. La section adulte était plus calme. Très bien mangé, plage magnifique. Dommage que plusieurs viennent y réserver des places aux aurores... on trouvait des chaises à toute heure mais un peu plus loin. Seul hic du voyage, comme c'est grand, il y a du bruit: le soir des fêtards qui reviennent bruyamment à leur chambre, au matin, des gens qui sortent en claquant la porte, le personnel de l'hôtel qui décide de brosser le plancher des couloirs à 8h du matin... on était pr [... read more]ès du lobby et des show y sont présentés jusqu'à 22h30! Impossible de se reposer avant, on les aurait cru dans notre chambre.... Pour les resto à la carte, les meilleurs sont toujours pris.... heureusement que le buffet est très varié et excellent. Nice place!

The Ambar Green was a nice place for what we paid. Rooms were big. The food and selection was great. The a la cartes had some really nice food also. The beach was busy but kept clean. The service was good. We did find the rooms rather noisy at night from other guests but such to be expected because they gave us main floor right in front of the pool. Dissapointed

The pools were great..a little cool but refreshing.The beach was over crowded...went one day early in the rain to get a chair.second time wasn't able to find chair.the beach is too small for that large resort..very disappointing. The grounds are beautiful ,very well maintained.Difficult to communicate as they are not fluent speaking in english.Buffet was small and poor section in food. Again over crowded...if you don't get there first thing it is cold and picked over.

Great resort of bahia

it was great. The food was very very good, so was the swimming pools and the facilities at the beach. The transport within the resort was very well organised. rooom service was excellent. The entertainment program were very good.

LBP Ambar Blue

I chose this resort because I wanted a 5 star adult vacation with a great beach. Jarius suggested Ambar Blue. My wife was sceptical due to the price. Once she got there, she was amazed. The resort is huge, 6 resorts in one. The grounds are clean, well lighted. Rooms are big, with king beds, refrigerators, safe, and lots of closet and drawer space for clothes. Bathrooms have quartz or stone walls, with showers and Jacuzzi. The pools are spacious and cleaned every morning. Go early in the a.m. t [... read more]o get your chairs reserved. The beach area is big, lots of chairs for sun and shade. Activities at the pool were fun, they really had to push to make people participate, but once they did it was exciting, such as a girl winning the push up competition, doing 67. The buffet restaurants at Ambar had more selection than the other resorts. The a la cartes, were delicious, each one unique. Make reservations early on the BH app. Make sure you see the Michael Jackson show on Friday evening. The village shops had a lot of the same product and the vendors were pushy. The new resort Fantasia was like Disneyland for the kids. Well thought out. resorts, something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful, and was grateful for a tip, Prices were in American dollars, and it was hard to get small denominations of Dominican pesos. The only issue we had was the door card wouldn't unlock the door, so we had to walk back to the lobby and get it renewed. I have never been to the same resort twice, but I would go back to this one.

Excellent resort

Would go back in a heart beat food room service grounds keeping all excellent weather was perfect the whole week we were there staff waited on hand and foot all entertainment was wonderful it's defiantly on our radar to go again maybe even next year our travel agent definitely got this one right

Nothing Special....

The grounds were impeccable, the beach was gorgeous the weather was great. The food was edible, the a la carte was terrible from booking to dessert, however that never came. Service was slow, if you were served at all. The resort was too large for my taste and pool chairs were hard to come by. However, I didn't pay a ridiculous price and had a great time.

Exceeded our expectations

This resort is manicured and inviting to take a stroll or just sit in the many areas. We enjoyed the many a la carte restaraunts in the Ambar area, the food was delicious! The buffet's were equally as good. The resort is a 5 star experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The beach area has plenty of covered recliners and the beach luncheon buffets are very comfortable and again, wonderful selection of food and delicious. Perfect vacation

We are couple and really have enjoyed our vacation in Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue at the second week of January 2017. Resort is the good size: not too big and not too small. Property is very well maintained. Ground transportation is provided. Our building was in the middle between pool and main lobby, very conveniently located, close to everything. There are several a la carte restaurants on the property; more then enough for a week of vacation. Hotel was not too crowdy at this time, just a right amount of people to be accommodated by all the services; no line up to the buffet or restaurants; easy to find a cozy seats any time of the day in the lobby to have a drink, read a book or check Internet. Free Wi-fi works perfectly everywhere including the room and beach area. Lounge chairs are always available on the beach. Spa is beautiful and not overbooked, no problem to get appointment on the time I wanted. Room has a pleasant design and was nice and clean. Night turn-down service was provided. Good selection of excursions and day trips. We liked this hotel and definitely would recommend it to family and friends.

Great resort, will return

check-in was quick and efficient. grounds well maintained, clean. ground transport gets you around the resort easily without having to wait, there are plenty of trains to catch... if you miss one, or it is full, just wait a few minutes for the next one. A la carte restaurants were super, excellent service, great food. beach area is clean, chairs at the shore go fast but there are always plenty of chairs available. same as the pool areas, clean but lawn chairs do go fast and hard to find one [... read more] available especially in the shade. bar service on the beach and pool areas is good, you won't get thirsty. room was spacious and clean, housekeeping very efficient. my only complaint, nothing to do with the resort itself, but Punta Cana airport is a zoo, it took over one hour to get boarding passes at Air Transat counter. They had three flights (Montreal, Toronto and Quebec City) all one after the other - that makes for a lot of people. After getting boarding passes, next line-up: security check. Next another line to hand in immigration form. Oh well, I must be getting old! but all in all, I do recommend the Ambar... I stayed on their Blue section, section 66, it was great!

Fabulous Resort

Everything about this resort was first class. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds were extremely clean and well maintained. Although it is a very Maarten resort it was fairly easy to navigate and there are plenty of trams if you don't want to walk.
